Insignia stereo headset/Plantronics earpiece paired, but no sound thru them

I have an Insignia stereo headset and a Plantronics earpiece. I paired them, and they show paired on the 3G bluetooth screen. when I turn on bluetooth, then turn on either the earpiece or headset, the little apple busy icon just sits there spinning, and they never connect. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
Please check in Playback devices
Right click speaker icon
Select Playback devices
Enable BT (the name should be similar to this: Pantronics BT Adapter)

  • Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair with more than one device at a time?

Is there a stereo bluetooth headset that can pair, i.e. multipoint, with more than one device at a time?
Are the MacBook and iPhone 4 capable of multipoint bluetooth technoloagy?
The goal is for my wife to be able to watch her Korean TV soap operas on her MacBook and still receive a call on her iPhone 4 via a stereo bluetooth headset.
I was looking at the Motorola S10-HD but after further review saw that it only pairs with one device at a time.
Appreciate any and all input. My Googling has returned no results.

You can only pair one device at a time to your 8330, or any other phone for that matter.  The "pairings" are saved to the phone, you can use one or the other and you won't have to pair it again.  Once you turn your bluetooth device on and the phone is on, they will find each other again.

  • Bluetooth headset pairs, but is not available as playback device

    Hi there
I am trying to pair and use my MEElectronics Runaway bluetooth stereo headset (with microphone) with my Zbook. I am following the instructions at MEElectronics available here http://www.meelec.com/Articles.asp?ID=352#ytplayer
I make the device discoverable and am able to pair the devices.
I select the device in Windows and it says 'connecting to device' then 'configuring device'. Then
'This device has been successfully added to this computer. Windows is now checking for drivers and will install them if necessary. You may need to wait for this to finish before your device is ready to use. To verify if this device finished installing properly, look for it in Devices and Printers.'
I click on Devices and Printers, and find the Air-Fi Runaway.
I click on volume system icon to select it as a playback device, but it is not listed there.
How do I guarantee that Windows actually downloads and installs the drivers to make this work? It doesn't appear to be doing so automatically as per what happened above.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
    Tronica

    hello,
the reason the driver is not installed is because there is no windows 7/8 64bit driver available .
I have the same problem with another kind of headphones, soundpeats qy7 .
I keep searching and hoping that maybe a driver will be completed and published .

  • Pairing bluetooth stereo headset

My JayBird JF3 Freedom stereo headphones won't pair with my MBP (but work fine with my iPhone & iPad). With the JF3's in "discoverable" mode and running the BT "Set Up New Device" wizard, my MBP searches endlessly (also seeing iOS devices w/o problem) but never sees the device. After searching related threads, it's apparently a fairly common problem. Unfortunately, the threads seemed to indicate the devices were at least able to see each other but, only when selected, wouldn't successfully pair. Since my device doesn't come up listed, I'm unable to attempt the suggested solutions from past posts. Also, the most relevant thread I found was from 2011, so I'm wondering if OS X 10.8.2 has possibly addressed the issue and I've overlooked something. Suggestions/advice?

As the current Apple Mac OS X does not support stereo music over Bluetooth (A2DP profile missing) and if this headset does not come with a USB Audio adapter, then you are wasting money.

  • Stereo bluetooth headset works for calls but not for music

I have a Motorola S9-HD that I've been using to listen to music from my iPhone 3G while running for a while now. Today I discovered that I can't listen to music through the headset anymore. It still pairs normally, and it still works normally for calls. When I go to iPod, the phone just starts playing music through its external speaker. It acts as if there's no headset paired, but the bluetooth icon at the top still indicates that it is paired.
I also discovered that if I am in a call and I open the iPod application and start playing music, music is played on top of the call through the headset. The moment I press the End Call button, music switches back to the external speaker.
Anybody ever seen this before with a iPhone 3G? Am I doing something wrong? Did I change some mystery setting or something? Please help!

Thanks for the response. I think you're on the right track here. I discovered something new this morning. I brought my headset to work and tried again. Now it plays music normally. My theory now for what's happening at home is that the headset is establishing a HFP connection with my phone a A2DP connection with my computer at the same time. When I'm out of range with my computer, it establishes both connections with my phone. Does that make any sense and seem plausible? If that's the case, then I just need to figure out how to tell the headset with which device I want it to establish which connection. Is there a way to set priorities for it?

  • My headset is paired ,but not connected

My headset is paired but it is not connected, can anybody help please

After attempting to connect via a bluetooth dongle (USB external bluetooth send/receive device), I am fairly certain that the bluetooth-Mac problem is software based. The same headset worked wonderfully under previous OS-X versions. I really do not appreciate having to reconnect every few minutes and to continually reinstall my bluethooth headset. Obviously, Apple does NOT want to fix the problem.

  • Bluetooth headset paired but no output

    Hi all,
    I have a Nokia bh-700 bluetooth headset with a 2g/edge iphone on 2.0.2 firmware.
The headset pairs fine with the phone, but the bluetooth icon on the main screen continues to stay dark gray, and it never turns blue even though the headset lights show that it is connected.
The problem is when I try to make/receive calls, the output still comes out of the iphone speaker, and no output comes out of the headset. I'm sure the bluetooth headset works since it works on my macbook pro.
I've tried turning wifi off, toggling bluetooth on/off, resetting the phone, pressing/holding random buttons on the headset (everything it says in the manual), etc.
I googled this problem (not for this specific headset), and it seems like some other people have this issue.
Anyone have any ideas or any fixes? I've also read some people who have the bh-700 and it works perfectly with the iphone.
    Thanks!

Having the same problem with a Motorola headset, it syncs fine but won't drive the sound through the headset.

  • I have an original 8Gb iPhone, I bought the stereo headset at Bestbuy but it could not adjust the volume of what I heard from the stereo headset, why is that happen?

The stereo headset is not working properly

Try deleting your hotmail account and then adding it back as an Outlook account instead of "other". It worked for me.

I am trying to find a compatible wired stereo headset for the droid which has volume/call control buttons. I am considering the Plantronics BackBeat 216 but I am not able find out if it is compatible with the Droid X. Any know of compatible headsets.
That model was made for the Iphone so I am going to imagine it is not compatible.
I know of some wired that have play/pause button on them, however if you are looking for play, pause, vol and call answer you might be better served with a bluetooth headphone.
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Consumers/global/flash_content/microsites/s9hd/index.html    This one runs about $50 at places like Amazon.
I already have a bluetooth headset. The problem is when I am in our data center floor I get too much interference over bluetooth and it becomes basically unsuable. The reason why I am looking for a wired stereo headset.
You can try checkingout the V-moda Vibe duo, or take a look at this list of headsets that have all been tested with the DX.  I don't think you will find one that covers all the features you want though, might have to compromise on one of them.

  • Stereo Headsets not always compatible?

I recently purchased a Jabra headset that plugs into my palm and has the capability to switch from music to incoming calls.  Its specifically a stereo headset, problem is only one side produces sound.  I dont understand that is something is specifically a cell phone stereo headset, why only one side working?  Is it possible that Jabra isnt compatible?  I returned the first pair thinking it was defective, but I recieved my replacement and its doing the same.  I recieved it new from a 3rd party seller and I tried looking on Jabras website, but my model doesnt even exist to them.  What can I do to fix this????
Post relates to: Treo 700p (Sprint)

It is probably not compatible if they don't have the Treo model number on their website.
I would suggest using a Palm 2in1 pro headset. Here is a link to the Palm website for the headset. This is designed to work with Palm devices.

  • Stereo Headset

I have a Centro from Verizon Wireless and have purchesed two different headsets and neither one works with pTunes. I can only here out of the left earbud. I'm wondering if I should just buy an adapter and use regular headphones and if that will even work? Please Help, Thanks.
    Post relates to: Centro (Verizon)

Alternately you may have been given stereo headsets not compatible with Centro.
I think Tribbles got it in one.
I have a pair of headphones I got from Verizon and they have that same problem of sound only coming from one ear. (I know why this is, but it's probably more than you want to know and I'm not sure I can explain it clearly anyway.)
On the other hand, I have a couple of 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapters that I've used with other phones and they work perfectly with any regular headphones or earbuds you might find. One of these adapters is a super-cheapie one ($5 at Best Buy, I think) but I like it because it's retractable so no loose wires to tangle in my purse. I've always preferred the option of choosing whatever headphones I liked instead of being tied into whatever overpriced option Verizon might offer.
