Inspection in Quality

Hi Experts
We have a scenerio in stock transfers, that the final products will be inspected through stock transfer inspection (08) only.
For the products sending out through 601 movement to Depots are to be continued with the inspection as it is. But the prodcuts coming back to plant from depot through 101 movement to be exempted from inspection. Is it possible to avoid inspection for the products coming back to plant though 101 movement? i.e., inspection lot not to be created as when it is received.
Regards,
VRMP

Dear VRMP
Think of using another movement type for depot to plant transactions , a copy of 101 movement type but with QM deactivated for this movement type in the config

  • Inspection Method (Quality Configuration)

    Hi,
I have created a new Plant. Created the Material Specification Characteristics (T Code: QS21).
While creating the Inspection Plan (T Code: QP01), the system throw an error saying 'METHOD INSDUMMY, VERSION, Plant 1100 is not available.
When I cross-checked with old Plants, the Inspection Method INSDUMMY is assigned with the all old Plants.
Pls. tell me from where I can assign the same.
    Regards,
    P K Karn

    PK Karn,
You need to create inspection method "INSDUMMY" using transaction "QS31" for plant 1100.
In the Initial screen you need to populate the plant and inspection method and key date from which this needs to be copied... so give the old plant referance which you were mentioning.
Now you will be able to assign the Inspection method to MIC.

  • Quality Mgt - can I create a new inspection type for source inspection

I want to create a new inspection type for surce inspection and I will assign it to Miscellaneous insp lot origin.
What is the application of vendor inspection lot origin ? Can be used for source inspection ?

    HI,
    For source inspection.
If existing insp types are not going to solve your purpose , you can create insp type & assign it to insp lot origin 01.
But before that , check whether you can use  the existing insp type 01 / 0130.
You need to assign that inspection type in the Q-info record , in the source insp field of insp control.
Also go through the help tips provide by SAP
Inspection Type for Insp. Lot Origin (Source Inspection)
Inspection type for the source inspection
    Use
If you enter an inspection type for inspection lot origin 01 in this  field, you can create an inspection lot for the source inspection within the lead time before the (scheduled) delivery date.
    Dependencies
The inspection type must be active in the inspection setup (Quality Management view) of the material master.
If a status profile is stored in the quality info record for the supply  relationship, a goods receipt inspection takes place instead of a source  inspection.

  • Two times quality inspection

In our business, there is requirement of two times of quality inspection. For some parts, the testing is done when they are received which is as good as inspection and after testing quality inspection is done.
Can I map this in SAP ? how ?

    Hi,
    You can do following -
    1) In material master assign the relevant inspection type (Quality Managamant view) & in the inspection details, maintain tick at 'Inspection with task list'.
    2) Prepare Sampling Procedure with Sampling Scheme & assign the type 'Independent Sampling' in Sampling Procedure. Enter the number of times you want to carry out the inspection.
    3) Prepare the Quality Inspection Plan for the component. In the Inspection Plan, select control indicator 'Sampling Procedure Required'. Enter the sampling procedure number in the inspection plan.
    4) After you complete the above master data & post GRN, system will create the Inspection lot & will create multiple samples (equal to number you have selected) for the lot. Then you can carry out the inspection for first lot & then quality inspection for second lot & post the results for both lots & take usage decision for the lot.
    Hope this helps.

  • Inspection lot qualtity

    Hi,
I am using source inspection for Quality check. Now the scneraio is as follows:
I created one PO with one line item and quality 100. After PO creation i go to QI07 and created a manual inspection lot. I do the result recording , UD etc. And if the UD is accepted i am ablee to do the MIGO and if the UD is rejected error is there durig MIGO.
Now the issue is if out of 100 quantities in PO only 20 are not ok and rest 80 are ok. Is it possibel to record it in inspecction so that i can do migo for 80 numbers of material and send 20 to vendor. Because in present sccneraio all the lot has been accepted or rejected. Can i devide the lot on the baiss of ok and not ok.

    Hello
This is not possible using source inspection. you can control the quantity in only GR inspection

  • Inspection setup key

    Hi,
While making gr goods automatically updated in to quality inspection stock.
But inspection setup key is not activated in the material master for that material.
So inspection lot  number is not created for this Goods receipt entry.. how can i
inspect that quality inspection stock without lot number.. pleae find out the
    solution.
    -Sathya..

    HI,
There is a Quality Block (Block.reason: quality) check Box active in the MIRO,untill we have cleared the Stock from quality inspection.
So we have to write in the Exit below
    EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010-ZXM08U16-----MIRO
if this indicator SPGRC is "X" Configure an error message that material is in Quality inspection.
    Hope so it helps

  • Partial movement of quality stock from one sloc to another.

    Dear QM Gurus,
Need your help, suggestion and guidance for the below query.
My client has following requirement, they receive RM in one sloc and they send samples for quality inspection to quality lab(created as another sloc in sap).
Is there any way to transfer partial quality stock to another location, and as per the sample do result recording and UD for all the quantity received from the vendor.
I have checked QAC2 but in that we cannot send partial quantity to another sloc.
Please give your valuable comments and suggestions on it.
    Regards,
    Shivkumar Tiwari

    Hi Shivakumar,
Your requirement looks straight. When the RM is recieved, you will have a 01 inspection lot at receiving location. You can transfer a partial quantity from Usage decision -> Stock posting screen (QA32, choose lot, go to UD. Go to stock posting tab, as shown below).
The full RM will be under QA stock. User can transfer a partial Quantity to the desired SLoc (unrestricted or blocked to different SLoc in your case). i.e, give the desired inspection quantity and location. Save the transaction. Do not enter anything (RR and UD) at this point of time.
When the inspection is complete, then user can do RR and UD, stock posting in the same lot.
    Thanks
    Prem

  • Displaying inspection lot (not posted in inspection stock)  as mrp element

    Hi guys,
we are implementing SAP QM. Our problem is that we are not using the inspection stock because we are also implementing a non-sap warehouse system. So we are not posting our goods receipt which have to be inspected in inspection stock but the inspection lot for the material is generated. Now we want to display this inspection lot in the transaction MD04. We suspect that we have to injoin in coding which we want to avoid. Has anybody of you experience or information with this issue? If yes I would appreciate your help a lot.
Thanks for your help and answers in forward. Of course I reward all answers with points.

    Hi Ymreddy,
thanks a lot for your answer. Unfortunately the situation is as i had explained. We are implementing SAP QM and we also have to link a external warehouse-management-system with our SAP-system-landscape. So if we want to post the goods receipt, which has to be inspected by quality department, in our warehouse manangement system, we cant post anything if the goods are on inspection stock. Goods in inspection stock can only be posted out with usage of the UD (usage decision). But the goods receipt place in reality is too small for waiting of this decision from quaility and so the goods have to be posted in the warehouse. Because of this situation we can not use the inspection stock. If we would use SAP WM we would not have this problem. We handle this problem in using restricted batches for the goods receipts. So we can post the GRs in the warehouse system but you can not use it if the usage decision is not made. I hope i have made the situation a bit clearer to you now.
My problem now is, that the material requirements planning team wants to see in MD04 the goods which are in a inspection lot as you can see it in standard if you use inspection stock for these goods. But if the goods are not posted in inspection stock with the inspection lot you can not see it in MD04, unfortunately. My question is, are there any user exits, customizing settings or any experiences/ideas of you to handle this problem?
I appreciate your help a lot. So thanks for your help in forward.

    Bernd

  • Inspection time Capacity Updation in work center for skipped lots

    Hi Guys,
I am using in process inspection type 03 along with DMR criteria at lot level i have defined the DMR rule and assigned it in routing header.DMR rule is inspection lot 1 in 5 will be inspected i.e when the inspection lot will be created and if there is no quality level exists it will first create the quality level with 1st inspection lot which will not be skipped lot and then it will skip next 4 lots and 5th will be inspected again.Quality level is updated during lot creation level.
what i am looking is when you have the skip inspection lot he capacity which has been planned for inspection for that work center should not be considered since there is no inspection done because of skipped inspection on that work center although it's the part of Routing/production process.
please let me know if any more inputs required.
    your inputs/feedback is really appreciated
    Regards
    Ashutosh Shende

    Hi Krishna,
It is distributing unevenly because of the Int. Dist. key maintained for "Labour" capacity category.
Following are the available dist keys.
I think for your scenario, you should select SAP020
SAP000     Overall load for latest start date
SAP010     Overall load for earliest start date
SAP020     Equal distrib. earliest dates, fact.cal.
SAP030     Equal distrib. latest dates, fact. cal.
SAP040     Equal distrib. latest dates, discrete
SAP050     Equal distrib. earliest dates, oper.time
SAP060     Equal distr. latest dates, operat. time
SAP070     Overall load at latest finish date
Please let me know if this works for you.

  • Sample management with in-process inspection

i need to know why must we assign inspection points when we use sample management in an in-process inspection ?

    Hi,
[Kindly refer the link herewith|Inspection point] wherein the importance of inspection point is mentioned.
In simple words, inspection point determines what system should do to proceed the inspection.
I mean if you will enter 100 (STD SAP), system will plan the inspection, UD , Quality score procedure etc etc according to the freely defined inspection points.
Now say if you enter 200 (STD SAP) there, then system will go in the direction of Samples, means will generate Physical Sample (Numbers), Samples size, will fetch these data to UD and stock posting screen also, then calculate the Quality score, etc etc.
If you will enter it time based inspection point then system will drive the entire inspection lot accordingly.
Now these is the straight and written explanation to your answer.
Means If there is inspection point as 200--->there will be need  of SDP, Sampling procedure, etc
But in same manner it is applicable in reverse order also, i.e. If you wanna go with SDP,Sampling procedure (SAMPLE Mgmt) then, inspection point there must be maintained accordingly.

  • Inspection lot creation not required for intercompany Stock transfer order

    Hi Team,
The client  does not want system to create inspection lots for inter comapny STO. But for intra STO system does not create the inspection lot and thye are happy with it.
I have have flagged the indicator "QM not active' for the movement type
101 entry as below at transaction code OMJJ.
101  B(goods movement for Purchase Order) X(Stock Transport Order)
Even after flagging the above indicator, system is still creating the inspection lot at the time of GR for InterCC STO.
Are you aware any other place to control inspection lot creation for Inter company STO.
    Thanks & Regards
    Mangesh

The ispection types assigned to the material are given below.
    Z05 Goods Return Inspection(copy of 05)
    Z09 Shelf life extension Inspection(copy of 09)
    Z89 Inspection for Quality Assurance(copy of 89)
Z90 Goods Receipt  for Trading goods( It is a copy of 01 inspection type)

  • Automatic Inspection Check and Release to use

    Hello All,
My client biz is manufacturing Electric Instruments. He wants an automatic inspection check whenever there is goods in the Plant  and not all the quantity to transfer in the Inspection; the percentage of total Goods Received like 2% on total GR and that quantity of goods should be released from Inspection or Quality Check automatically and should transfered to Unrestricted use stock to use. Please guide me how to make this automation?
    Thank you all in advance.
    Cheers

I think you can do this using Physical samples.  You set up a sampling drawing procedue that calls for the quantity you want to inspect.  In the QM setup, make sure the indicator "post to insp. stck. is clicked OFF.   In this manner, all the material not rquired for inspection should go to unrestricted inventory.  The sample qty will be in the inspection lot.
