Inspection lot char. & specfication display problem

I have facing a problem, in qe72 material lot wise inspection specs not displayed in production server.
But sane is working good in development & quality server.

  • Batch number archiving- Inspection lot is causing the problem

    Hai,
    I am trying to archive a batch, but I do receive the below message:
    u201CMaterial is used in Inspection Lotu201D. Message number W4123.
    How do I archive an Inspection Lot?
    Note We are not using Long term Inspection.. We are in ECC 6.
    Anyone had this issue before?

    Thank you for your reply. Infact, I do not have any open inspection lots. UD was done against it. I could successfully archive the inspection lot. The status on the inspection lot is now ARCH. Now I ran MM_SPSTOCK to archive the associated batch number. But still I get message "Material is used in Inspection Lots".
    any ideas?

  • 04 inspection lot with status SPST

    Dear Experts,
    We are using Handling Unit (HU) functionality in FG material,
    1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
    2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
    3. In regular scenario, we do GR of all 50 HU's using tcode COWBPACK,
    4. All 50 HU's are posted in to unrestricted & UD is given using tcode QA32 & status UD SPCO.... is updated in inspection lot,
    5. The HU posting in unrestricted can be happen before GR also (which observes no problem),
    But in rare scenario, we need to cancel / delete the some of HU's at that time following steps are involved -
    1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
    2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
    3. HU posting in unrestricted is done for 45 HU's (System status SPST is updated in inspection lot),
    4. Balance 5 HU's are deleted from system using tcode HUMO,
    5. UD is given to inspection lot & status UD SPST.... is updated in inspection lot.
    Now the problem is, after settlement & variance calculation of production order when we try to update status CLSD (Close) in production order the system give an error "Inspection lot 040000XXXXXX for order XXXXXXXX has not yet been completed" this is due to system status SPST is there instead of SPCO.
    As the 5 HU's are deleted hence the stock posting can not be completed. Even we can not cancel the inspection lot due to status SPST.
    Please suggest how to resolve this issue to update the status CLSD in prodction order.

  • Documents attachment in Inspection Lot

    Hi
    My requirement is to attach the documents (WORD or PDF or .Tiff or Excel file) in Inspection lot Usage decision Screen. Also Any user should be able to see all Documents attached in that Inspection Lot.
    I have attached the document from "Services For Objects" tab which is available in Usage Decision Screen. But after attaching the Docs I am unable to see what docs I have attached in Inspection Lot.Even I have done the Usage Decision & Save My entries.
    "Services For Objects" tab is available in almost all transaction & it is at  left hand corner top most tab below enter green tab.
    Plz help me How to attach the Docs in Inspection Lot & How to  Display it in Same Inspection lot screen?

    Attaching documents from Services fro Objects tab uses doc type A2 : ArchiveLink. Default setting is to stored it into SAP database. In order you want to stored these attachments into content server, you need to define respository for the same accordingly.
    In addition to these you need to maintain link tables for the objects pertaining to inspection.
    For example:

  • Displaying inspection lot (not posted in inspection stock)  as mrp element

    Hi guys,
    we are implementing SAP QM. Our problem is that we are not using the inspection stock because we are also implementing a non-sap warehouse system. So we are not posting our goods receipt which have to be inspected in inspection stock but the inspection lot for the material is generated. Now we want to display this inspection lot in the transaction MD04. We suspect that we have to injoin in coding which we want to avoid. Has anybody of you experience or information with this issue? If yes I would appreciate your help a lot.

    thanks a lot for your answer. Unfortunately the situation is as i had explained. We are implementing SAP QM and we also have to link a external warehouse-management-system with our SAP-system-landscape. So if we want to post the goods receipt, which has to be inspected by quality department, in our warehouse manangement system, we cant post anything if the goods are on inspection stock. Goods in inspection stock can only be posted out with usage of the UD (usage decision). But the goods receipt place in reality is too small for waiting of this decision from quaility and so the goods have to be posted in the warehouse. Because of this situation we can not use the inspection stock. If we would use SAP WM we would not have this problem. We handle this problem in using restricted batches for the goods receipts. So we can post the GRs in the warehouse system but you can not use it if the usage decision is not made. I hope i have made the situation a bit clearer to you now.
    My problem now is, that the material requirements planning team wants to see in MD04 the goods which are in a inspection lot as you can see it in standard if you use inspection stock for these goods. But if the goods are not posted in inspection stock with the inspection lot you can not see it in MD04, unfortunately. My question is, are there any user exits, customizing settings or any experiences/ideas of you to handle this problem?

    I'm not sure I understood the question. 
    In the UD screen on the first page the storage location is shown in display mode.  To change that you can use QAC2.
    On the stock posting screen you can change the storage location the stock is being posted if desired.  Usually most places don't have a need to change this and procedurally train their users not to. 
    If you wanted the stock posting screen to be display only, you probably have to use the screen editor to modify that which I don't think you really want to do.
    You could use automatic UD's to process your ok lots and then take away the QA11/12 from most of your users.  Then have only a few people trained to do the inspection lots requiring a manual UD.  If these people change the storage location it would be a specific choice they made, not an accident.  If this becomes a problem, they either need more training, or need to be fired.

    2.no task list was assigned to the inspection lot,

    Hi
    It seems there is inspection plan created for this material. You can create inspection in QP01 transaction and maintain usage 5 (Goods Receipt) and status 4 (released) in the header inspection plan.
    Once plan is created, go to QA02 (Change inspection plan) and enter inspection lot. Click on inspection specification tab, change key date to current date and click on task list/spec. button, Then plan will get assign to inspection lot. Save the inspection lot. Once again if you go to QA03 (Inspection lot display), you can find system status is chnged tp CRTD to REL.
    Then you can able to enter results recording and usage decision for the lot.

  • Inspection Characteristic is not being displayed in the inspection lot

    I have created a Calibration order by first creating method, then a MIC, same is attached to a task list and then a Plan.
    But when i trigger a order for that task list the inspection characteristics as mentioned in the task list does not appear in the order.
    Please let me know how to get the inspection characteristics in the order.
    I have checked the task list, in that the Inspection characteristics is visible.

    I have noted one thing, in inspection lot the sample size is shown as zero for the equipment where the inspection characteristic is not being displayed and it is shown as one for the lot where the inspection characteristic is displayed.
    Both the Inspection lot the task list is same

  • Problem Inspection lot 04 (early creation)

    Hi Experts,
    following problem:
    We use early creation for inspection lot 04.
    If Production Order was released the insp. lot was created. There is no stock quantity available in the lot, which is correct).
    If i do the result recording and UD (Accepted), the insp. lot is finish.
    After this step I do the confirmation of the Prod.Order and the goods receive (MB31) from production to stock.
    I thought the material should go directly to main stock because of UD (Accepted).
    But SAP moved the material to 917 (Q-Stock) and refresh the insp. lot with stock quantity.
    I have to change the insp. lot to move the material from Q-Stock(917) to main stock.
    This is not what we want.
    If we do the accepance-UD before prod.order was doing the goods receive, the material should not go to quality. Should go
    directly to main stock.
    Is there a possibility or special setup which supports this process ?
    Can someone give me a hint what I have to do ?

    Hi,
    the reason why we will proceed in this way is the following:
    Our customer wants to do a inspection after production is done and before goods receive.
    We (QM) have to inform the customer min a week before finish the production. this is the reason for the early lot creation.
    Sometimes the customer told us, it's not necessary to do the inspection. This is the reason why we will do the UD before the
    goods receive from the production order is done. We will avoid that the material will be moved to QM because tehre a re no activities necessary.
    So, is there a possibility move the material(if UD was done before goods receive) dirctly into main stock or is there a exit which can ´do the "posting" in the QM-lot automatically?

  • Problem with serial Number in Inspection Lot

    Dear All,
    I have a typical problem that material is there in quality inspection lot and serial numbers are aslo assigned during 101 mvt. but when I am posting it to unrestricted stock system is not determine serial number and giving an error
    *Stock data of serial number XXXXXX not suitable for movement
    Message no. IO231*
    All configuration setting are also OK as this problem comes for the first time and previously we were able to clear inspection lots of that material easily with serial number.
    Any Idea to rectify that problem?

    Check with your serializing Procedure check the assignment in Work scheduling View for this material also check in Quality view
    for inspection type 4 for GR of Production order.

  • PROBLEMS CANCELING MOVEMENTS WITH INSPECTION LOT

    We have this situation:
    We need to reset the GD returns but this GD returns was posted by QM and when we try to cancel in VL09 we meet the next message Message no. QA046.
    So we tried to cancel in other ways with the inspection lot and the usage decision but it has not been possible to restore movement.
    We found the note 175842 and we have implemented the program RQEVAC50 but, when we useit we meet the message M7226
    We checked the movement Z55 and its opposite Z56. I suppose its standard movement is the 651 and 652 and I compared the customizing of them. They can be similar it just the movement Z55 and Z56 are prepared to be posted by QM and special stock E and Q.
    The movement that we need to reset with the program RQEVAC50 is:
    We have tried to use the program for a movement 101 and it worked well (5000795975).
    We tried to test with a return delivery with Z55 movement in another environment and the program worked correctly so we think the customizing of the movement Z55 is correct.
    We think the problem is when the usage decision creates some movements or we use some of the next fields in the usage decision:
    In our case the movements are 321 and Z56.
    But when the movements are the standards 321 and 553 program doesn’t work because we meet the next message again M7096

  • Weighted from quality score of chars. with Inspection Lots

    Dear QM Guru's.
    My question is about Quality Score with Inspection Lots.
    The Scenario:
    1. In a Quality master View in Material Master I use  the option number 05 of The Q-Score Procedure (Weighted from quality score of chars.)
    2. I use Inspection Points.
    3. I have 10 Inspection Points in a Characteristic.
    4. When I make the Usage desicion,  the Quality Score takes the last Inspeciton point.
    The questions:
    1. Why the  Quality Score  does take the last Inspection points, ?
    2. Is there a chance The Quality Score taking the average of all inspection points ?

    This procedure calculates the quality score as the weighted average of the characteristic scores.
    The score for the characteristic is determined on the basis of the defect class score for the characteristic result. You define the weight of the characteristic in the inspection plan.
                                          Sum ( E_KQD(characteristic) * WEIGHT )
               E_KQD =                 ___________________________
                                                     Sum ( WEIGHT )
    With E_KQD (charac.):       Score for characteristic defect class.
                                  If the defect class is blank or zero,
                                 the result corresponds to the maximum
                                 allowed score.
         WEIGHTING:      Weight of characteristic according to
                                 inspection plan.
    Now
    As I understand It is Maximum allowed score which you have defined or the Avg one.
    If you want to have the Avg of all inspection points then Copy & modify  the function module   KQD_COPY_REFERENCE_FORM  ( originally KQD_FEATURE_CLASS_WEIGHTED )

  • Problem when created an Inspection Lot.

    Hello PP Guru's,
    I have a major problem with Inspection Lot.
    I have created an Inspection Lot but forgot to create an Inspection Plan for the Material for which the lot has been created.The Inspection Lot is in CRTD status which doesnt allow me to record the results.
    I know one method that I can do GR reversal so that the material can be removed from Quality stock(Lot will come to LTCA status) and then can do GR again so to fetch Inspection Characteristics of the material from Inspection Plan which I have created so the new lot created will be in Release status which allow me to process the lot.
    I want to know if there is any other method by which I can Include the Inspection Plan for the Lot which is in CTRD status without reversing GR Document.

    create the inspection plan appropriately.
    Then go to QA32.select the ispetion lot .
    Press tab Inspection specifications.
    Then press the button 'task list/specification'
    It will be assigned.
    Then refresh the screen.
    The it will solve your problem.
