INSPECTION LOT FOR MVT. TYPE 103

Hi Gurus,
As per our client requirement, Material should go under Quality inspection after doing GR against Pur. Order by Movement Type 103 & not after 105.
Comment on this. Points will be rewarded.

There are no other settings required for this one.Go through these once again..
1. Ensure Material master is assigned inspection type 01--Active in QM View
2. Do MIGO with 103 Mvmt.
3. Setting Rqd: SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection for Goods Movements->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type->Remove tick QM not active for all 103 Mvmt Types.
Similarly Deactivate for 105 Mvmt type.
4. Presetting (non-editable) - SPRO->Quality Management->Quality Inspection->Inspection for Goods Movements->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type->Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin->View Insp. lot origin assigned to Mvmt type by double clicking on the 103 Mvmt types.

Inspection lot for Mvt type 311 between two storage location only

Hello all,
I want to create an inspection lot only whenever my material transfer between two particulars storage locations. e.g if i have multiple storage locations, then i need an inspection lot to be created whenever my material transferred from say X S.Loc to Y S.loc only. For other transfers i don't need to create an inspection lot even from Y to X.
For more clarity, suppose i have ten storage locations. i have also created one storage location for my Lab. So I want an inspection lot to be created only when my material transfer to my Lab storage location from any other storage location, not when i transfer from my LAB to any other S.Loc or between two S.Loc other than LAB.
I have activated inspection type 08 but it does not have a restricition on S.Loc.
So please suggest some solution for the same.

In this case what you can do is make a copy of 311 movement type, say Z11. Deactivate QM for 311 and activate QM for Z11
So whenever you want inspection lot to be created use Z11.
You can activate and deactivate QM in QCCO > Quality inspection > Inspection lot creation > inspection for goods movement

What you have to do is:
Enter Tcode MB51...Enter Mvt type 103 and in to enter 105..
Now clcik on F8 Button...It will display you the result as per what you have expected..

Inspection Lot for I type 10 does not generate

Hi team,
When SD does a PGI, as per Material I type-10 a lot should be generated. but this fails to occur. I type is active on the material. Infact it has 4 and 10 active. I lot for i type 4 generates fine, but for i type 10 it does not. QM control in SD for customer(QV51) is also created. Am i missing something here. I did some search and tried checking will all those steps too. but no go. Any suggestions

Let us understand the inspection type 10 first. It will create an inspection once the delivery note is made. I guess you seek one after the PGI. Did you get one after the delivery ?? Or may be there is some confusion with the words
Other than what Anand has suggested, please check what is maintained in customer specs in Cust info record (QV53). It should be Before delivery if PGI is to be blocked before inspection or After delivery to make PGI possible without inspection.

QM insp lots for mvt type 315

Dear All,
senario is as below
we are doing 313 movt within the same plant for stock transfer after 313 stock will be in transit after that we
do 315 movt for recieving of the stock.
settings done insp activated for 313 and 315 movt types and 08 insp type is activated in M.M.
but system is not creating insp lots and the stock directly goes into unrest use.
can any body suggest what setting is missing?
your suggestions will be highly appreciated

when you post using 315 mvt. type, system will create inspection lot
plz. check @ OMJJ -- for the 315 mvt.type -- QM should be active --> then system will create inspection lot
before that make sure Mat. master for that material 08 insp. active ,and post to inspection stock,task /mat spec, and Automatic assignment and characteristc --> these fields to be active

Inspection lot for inspection type 08

Hi Eperts,
Please tell me following:
Inspection lot does not create when transfer material from plant to plant.
Created STO PO in plant 1000. Issueing plant is 2000.
MMR maintained in both plant with inspection type 01,08 activated in both plant.
As per me system should create inspection lot after GRN takes place against STO PO in plant 1000.
What could be problem.

Hi Raja,
In your previous posts you referred to performing a 101 movement to try get an inspection lot of type 08, this is incorrect.
For movement type 101 you need to activate inspection type 01 and place a block on the q-info record against the vendor in order to get an inspection lot of type 01.
In your scenario, you are wanting an inspection lot of type 08. This is an internal stock movement and wont work with a 101 movement as this is for incoming stock. You should activate inspection type 08 on the material master and use a movement type such as the 322 to move stock to quality inspection. This will create an automatic inspection lot of type 08 as long as you have set QM not active = ' ' for mvt type 322 under SPRO -> Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection for goods movements -> deactivate quality inspection for a movement type.

531 Goods receipt from by-product from the order
The goods receipt of a by-product usually refers to an order, but it can be entered without a reference.
If a component is entered with a negative quantity in the order, a reservation item is created with 531 (instead of 261). The receipt of a by-product can be entered when the component for the order is withdrawn from stock or it can be entered as another type of goods receipt.
Possible special stock indicator: E, Q
Acivate 05 inspection type for Co-product.
You can also try this by MB1C transaction.against producton order
Also check the mvt type 545 and 581

Inspection lot for stock transfer

Hello All,
My requirement is that when i will do movement 301 from plant A to B then system should create inpsection lot. System should not create inspection lot instead of 301 mov type. If i assigned inpsection type 08 in material master it will create lot for each stock transfer posting. My requirement is that system should create lot for mov type 301 when i transfer from plat A to B.
Also it should not create lot if I transfer stock from A plant to C.
Please guide me on this issue.

Well If you do not maintain 08 inspection type in plant C for that material it will not create lot in plant C.whereas in plant B if you maintain it will create.
Apart from this there is one more way
Copy 301 in OMJJ say Z31. Now for this inactive QM in customization.Whenever you do 301 from A to B it will create lot.
but when you do A to C with mvt type Z31 it will not create inspection lot.

1) Movement Type - 103 Goods receipt for purchase order into GR blocked stock means not approved by Quality dept.for ready
    to use.
     (Ex. PO Qty - 10 Nos. ordered, 7 Nos. accepted by quality dept. & stock accounted with 101 Mvtype and 3 Nos. are not
            accepted by Quality dept. & stock accounted with 103 Mvtype in GR blocked stock)
2) Movement Type - 105 Release from GR blocked stock for purchase order means approved by Quality dept. from GR blocked
            stock. (From the above example 3 Nos. GR blcoked stock, after 100% quality inspection 2 Nos. released from GR blocked
            & stock account 101 Mvtype for ready to use. 1 No. rejected & return to vendor with 122 Mvtype).

Customer number not in the inspection lot for a make to order scenario

Hi All,
I know that standard SAP will get the Customer number into Insp. lot only for insp. types 10/11/12. I am wondering if someone know a way to get the customer no. into insp. lot for insp. type 04 where the material is make-to-order scenario and the Production/Process order has the Sales order and customer no. without activating User-exit. The quality users want to be able to see the customer no. in insp. lot without having them to go to process order.
It makes no sense to me why the customer no. is not brought into insp. lot when that is available in the Prod/process order, which can further be used to select the customer specific insp. plans for 04 insp. type Insp. lot without using Variant configuration.
Any light on this topic is appreciated.

I guess.........
Normally the inspection lot refers the triggering document that are the trigger cause for them.
- Inspection type 01: - Purchase Order and GR material document.
- Inspection type 03: - Pro. Order Number
The same way...
The inspection type 10\11\12 are purely related to the SD, and directly integrates QM and SD. Hence in the inspection lot for the inspection types directly integrated to SD, it will furnish the Sales order number \ Customer.
But the inspection type 04 is purely have it's relation to Production process. So it will have the details related to integrations it has i.e. the "Pro. Order." Hence it integrates QM-PP, it have the data related to PP (Pro Order), not the SD's one.
But I think one way you can achieve it,
Assign the Customer number also to the inspection plan along with the Material. So I think at the time of assigning the inspection plan to the inspection lot, it will refer the Customer number also and will display the Customer number along with Task list Group\Group Counter, in the inspection specification screen in QA03/02

Automatic creation of inspection lot for Expired Batches

Hi All,
I am in one trouble and need some help in above scenario.
I am able to create inspection lot for batches about to expire, but how to create inspection lots for batches which were already expired or which next inspection date already missed?
Master data like '09' inspection type, inspection plan is already maintained.
Second question, is QA07 also affect on special stocks like vendor stock or project stock etc?

To meet you above mentioned requirement you have to modify the program RQAAAS10 as per your logic both to create lot for Expired Material and to consider project stock or vendor stock as In standard SAP these stock are not considered.

Creation of one inspection lot for more than 1physical sample

we have one common question.I have created 3 physical sample 20000006,2000007,2000008 and now i want to create one inspection lot for these 3 physical sample through QPR5 Transaction but system is generating each inspection lot for each physical sample which is wrong process. this is common scenario for most of the industry.SO please clarify and provide the solution

Create a new physical-sample drawing with refernce to :
Using this function, you can create a new physical-sample drawing (with one or more physical samples) that references:
An inspection lot
A production order or process order
A production version
You use this function to create physical samples that have not been planned in a sample-drawing procedure and which you can draw from a production process according to your specific needs. In an inspection during production, for example, you can draw physical samples from the process on the basis of time or quantity (for example, a physical sample every three hours or for every 1000 liters of material produced). You can freely specify the inspection-relevant operations in which you want to inspect the physical samples for the new physical-sample drawing.
please do let us know wether you were able to create one inspection lot .Or else please ellaborate the question step wise t-code and functions Will try to find a solution .

Dump during mvt type 103.

I am doing MIGO - GR against Outbound Delivery with Mvt type 103.
I receive the following dump. If for the same case if I do MIGO via 101 then no dump observed.
What could be the determining factor which creates dump while 103 & not with the case 101?

Dev,
I want the BADI, which will trigger the GR-mail after the material document is posted by the system, so that there will be no conflict with the 'Commit Work' which I have written in customer enhancement before system is committing for posting.
If I will get some BADI after the material DOC is posted in MIGO-GR-103Mvt type,then it will do my work of triggering the mail.
Wanna BADI that can used/Triggered after posting the MM-Doc in GR-103 Mvt type.
