Inspection Lot not coming in QA16

Dear Masters,
I am using inspection lot origin 04.Inspection is carried out by uaing a task list.As soon as the production confirmation is done , inspection lot is cretaed and it is seen in QA32.But the same lot is not coming in QA16 , Why?Please suggest.

I believe you answered your own question. With free inspection points, it does not show up in the QA16 list. That is because SAP has no idea how many inspection points your going to decide to process. 1? 3? 20? When is the lot ready for a UD? Only you know that. SAP has no clue.
I believe if you had a lot that used inspection lots by qty or time and the inspection points were pre-created, then all results recorded, that would show up on the list.
But with free inspection points, the system has no way of knowing if your done with the lot or not.

Hi Kaushal,
For Inspection lot from GR, 01 Inspection type is enough.
- Ensure 01 Insp type is active and Post to Inspection stock indicator is active for that inspection type.
- Ensure the QM is active for 101 Movement type, SPRO>Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Creation>Inspection for Goods Movements>Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type

Integration with EWM-Inspection lot not getting created

Hi,
Inspection lot not getting created after GR is done.
The scenario is Storage location is connected to external warehouse management,so after the GR is done in the legacy system via interface it is updated in ECC.so while checking the material document inpection lot is not created.
Can anyone please tell me the necesaary check points and integeration steps between WM and QM in this case .

Since you didn't say much, I assume you are creating stock into ECC via LSMW using 561 movement. Now to get inspection lot for these batches/ docs, you need to activate inspection type 05.
Go to material master QM view, assign and activate inspection type 05.
Additionally, create a respective inspection plan/ task list for the material(s) to carry out RR and get the consistent inspection lots.

Inspection lot not getting generated after PurcGR

Hi,
Inspection lot not generated after doing GR for a purchase order. what could be the reasons?
for the first 2 puchase orders, Inspection lot was created. however, for the 3rd Purchase order of 100qty, i did GR for 50 qty only. after then for new purchase orders, the material status has become unrestricted and directly going to stock.
Inspection type 01 is mainted in material master
QM info record has been maintained.

Try the following.
1. Check the inspection set up in the Material Master record for inspection type 01 whether 'post to inspn stock' is selected. If not, select it.
2. Check in Customizing for 'QM in Procurement' in 'Define QM system' activity, 'certified QM system - skip' is marked(Actual QM system). If this indicator is selected no inspection lot is created even if there is an active inspection type. This is valid if you maintain a target QM system in QM view of Material Master (Purchase data).
3. Check in IMG set up :
Quality Inspection -> Inspection lot creation -> Inspection for goods movement - whether inspection lot origin 01 is specified for movement type 101 and also ensure that QM is active for this movement type.
Please revert after trying these options.

Inspection lot not created on GR for production order

I want to create an inspection lot upon receipt from production. Task list is set up. Inspection type 04 is assigned in material master. But when I do the goods receipt for a production order, inspection lot is not created. In the quantity tab of material document, I see that the staus GR doc is 7(Inspection lot is created at inbound delivery). I don't know where it is coming from.
Please help.

I'm not sure what you mean by creating lot after receiving.
When you do a GR from production the proper inspection type is the 04 inspection type. Not 05. This is pretty standard SAP functionality.
Check the material movements for 101 (I assume you're using a 101 GR material movement), and make sure in config no one has deactivated QM for the material movement.
Then, make sure you start with a freash production order. Don't copy from a previous one.

Inspection lot not getting generated by Z inspection type

Hi,
I created a inspection type Z1 , copying the inspection type 01. I guess I maintained all the required configurations or conditions.
I maintained the inspection type Z1 in the QM view of a material with status Active, but I am not able to do MIGO, neither the stock type is coming as Quality Inspection automatically in both the Purchse Order creation and MIGO. As a reslut, the inspection lot is not getting generated.
I am also not able to create a manual lot but QA01, Its giving error as "Inspection type Z1 not maintained for material X" .

Inspection Lot not created after mvt 322.

Dear All,
I'm facing a problem : after a movement 322 no Inspection (QM) bach was created in QAVE...
In MMBE WM stock view I've got the lot number (quantity 1, stock type Q), and the storage bin which match with the inspection lot.
When trying to take the UD (QA11), the following error message appear :

I gonna check QALS tomorrow as I don't have access to the system right now.
I need to make some clarifications to my previous message, in fact ten inspection lots was generated under the same material document which had 10 items (via MB1B).
9 Inspection lots has been accepted (321) and successfully put into the free stock by the quality, I only have this lot remaining coming from the same document as other ones.
Material Master/Quality Mgmt and inspection types for this article/Plant has not been changed and are correctly set...
I cannot use MB1B, mvt code 321 to move this QI stock to the free stock as QM is activated... I'll get something like "Change the inspection stock of material 0000000 in QM only".
I thinks that, to clean the stock, the only option i've got is to make an inventory from Q stock (mvt 713).
I'm trying to find out what are the root causes of this problem for this not to happen again....

PS : Just checked QALS table this morning, indeed, the inspection lot does not exist.
So, i've got no trace of it in QM, but I'm able to find it in WM...

Inspection Lot not generated, with MIGO 561

Hello All,
Please help me with this issue.
WHen i do MIGO with 561, inspection lot is not generated.
So there is a setting in spro, if we check that, inspection lot wont be generated.
So now in my IDES, i tried to uncheck that box.
When i save this setting, I get the following error.
"Fill table key for table T156Q only up to position 010".
Please help with this issue.

To load initial inventory in Quality stock and release it using Inspection lot UD, use movement type 563 instead of 561.
With 561 movement stock is directly posted to un-restricted status. So there is nothing to be released from Quality stock.

Inspection lot not getting generated for schedule in stability study

Dear All,
Need your urgent help to solve a issue. I need to perform inspection of material after specified interval of time for which i am using stability study process. Following are the steps which i have followed :
1) Create initial sample (physical sample created)
2) Confirm initial sample
3) Initial test inspection lot( Inspection lot created )
4) Complete initial test
5) Specify storage conditions (Physical sample created with CRTD status)
6) Create testing schedule( Maintenance schedule is created )
7) I have scheduled maintenance plan through IP10 tcode. All the calls are getting generated.
Now i have given manual call in IP10, but inspection lot is not generating.
Please help to solve this issue ASAP.

Yes i have activated inspection type 16 to material master.
Actually issue is solved now, I have missed one step " Store stability Sample".
Now the lots are getting generated.
i am closing this thread now.

Inspection lot not appearing in QA32

Dear Experts,
We have transfered a batch from a storage location of one plant to the storage location of another plant through movement type 909 with all require datas entered and saved the transaction . But while we checked in MB51 and QA32 , no material document or a Inspection lot for stock transfer not appearing.
When checked for the logs Message QA 150 appearing for ' Errror inserting QALS as update was terminated ' . What to do ?

Is 909 is SAP's standated Mvt type?
Check the setting for this mvt type in QCC0->Qulity inspection->Inspection for goods Mvt.--->Inspection lot origine & Deactivate Quality inspection.
I have a suggesion.for transfering Material from one plant to other SAP has own Mvt type:301(single step--->Without purchse Order).You can active 08 inspection type for Material at receiving plant.It will create a lot at receiving plant.
In addition to this 351& 352 are used when purchse order(STO) is there.
In hop this will help me.

Inspection lot not getting created

SUB: Quality inspection lot neot creating.
when i am do GIR, system is not creating Inspection lot for the material,
i have maintained the QM view in material master and assigned the inspection type aslo, then why system is not creating an Inspection lot for quality inspection, is there any extra settings need to be maintaied in QM.

There is a small check mark which says "active " for each inspection type you maintained in QM view .Make sure you have checked this .If you have not ,then there is no way a lot will be created .
Please let me know on any furthur doubts coz as far as i know this is a common mistake every person new to QM does .If this not the issue then get back to me .

Inspection lot not creating

We have two - three inspection type . i.e need to be assigned in the material master .
which setting i need to adopt in the selection and the prefered inspection type ?
if we have multiple inspection plan for a single material , is it possible to create inspection lot automatically ?
Right now i am not getting any inspection lot , what will be possible trouble shooting ?

If you have maintained inspection type of different origin in the material master you need tick any of the preferred indicators. for 01, 08 inspection lot is created automaticaly. if the inspection type are of same origin like , 01, 0101, 0102 etc the prefered indicator is used

Calibration process : inspection lot not created

Hello,
When creating a maintenance order (PM05) , i can not get the inspection lot created .
There has been some thread about this process , i believe i followed the instructions :
-equipment category is production ressource/tool
-master inspection characteristics created (released)
-sampling procedure created for PM
-equipment task list created with inspection point at header level , with control key including inspection characteristic , with master inspection characteristic , with sampling procedure
-configuration for inspection type and order type is done
then when creating the order manually (or via a maintenance plan) : the order is created and released but with no inspection lot assigned...
does anyone have an idea where the error might come from?

Weather this is correct or not for your scenario but please check the below spro setting.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Functions and Settings for Order Types --> Assign Inspection Types to Maintenance/Service Order Types
click on the symbol
in Change view " Assign Inspection Types to Maintenance/Service Order Types" :Overview screen assign inspection type against plant and order type combination. for PM 14 is inspection type.

Displaying inspection lot (not posted in inspection stock) as mrp element

Hi guys,
we are implementing SAP QM. Our problem is that we are not using the inspection stock because we are also implementing a non-sap warehouse system. So we are not posting our goods receipt which have to be inspected in inspection stock but the inspection lot for the material is generated. Now we want to display this inspection lot in the transaction MD04. We suspect that we have to injoin in coding which we want to avoid. Has anybody of you experience or information with this issue? If yes I would appreciate your help a lot.

thanks a lot for your answer. Unfortunately the situation is as i had explained. We are implementing SAP QM and we also have to link a external warehouse-management-system with our SAP-system-landscape. So if we want to post the goods receipt, which has to be inspected by quality department, in our warehouse manangement system, we cant post anything if the goods are on inspection stock. Goods in inspection stock can only be posted out with usage of the UD (usage decision). But the goods receipt place in reality is too small for waiting of this decision from quaility and so the goods have to be posted in the warehouse. Because of this situation we can not use the inspection stock. If we would use SAP WM we would not have this problem. We handle this problem in using restricted batches for the goods receipts. So we can post the GRs in the warehouse system but you can not use it if the usage decision is not made. I hope i have made the situation a bit clearer to you now.
My problem now is, that the material requirements planning team wants to see in MD04 the goods which are in a inspection lot as you can see it in standard if you use inspection stock for these goods. But if the goods are not posted in inspection stock with the inspection lot you can not see it in MD04, unfortunately. My question is, are there any user exits, customizing settings or any experiences/ideas of you to handle this problem?

SAP QM-EWM - Inspection Lot not generated in ECC

Hi Gurus,
Need your advice with QM-EWM integration.
We are trying to generate an Inspection lot "01" in ECC while using EWM as our Warehouse.
Material is not HU managed so the trigger of IL should be via Good Receipt. If material is HU managed the inspection lot trigger is via Inbound delivery HU assignment.
The following has been done:
Material is QM active "01" not HU set up in ECC
Material is assigned to an Inspection Plan in ECC
We do not have QIE in place
SLOC used does not require HU
Below is the process.
Purchase Order is created in ECC
Inbound delivery is created in ECC and distributed in EWM
GR happens in EWM and reflects in ECC
The question now is it possible to generate an Inspection lot in ECC even if GR happens in EWM? w/o EWM the scenario is generating Inspection lots.

No. You need to have the QIE to trigger the inspection lot creation in ECC.
"We do not have QIE in place"
This is the first thing you need.
Somewhere here in this space I thought is also a document describing how to set it up - but could not find it right now.
