Inspection Lot quantity unit is changing to Basic UOM.

Dear All,
In material master, material unit is in MTR(M),for that material i created Production order in NOS
I am confirming that order (TCODE -CO11N) in nos only ,up to last stage of confirmation it is in NOS only
but after confirmation the lot is generating in qa32 that lot quantity unit is basic unit of measure i.e MTR(M).
But i want that lot in confirmation unit i.e 'NOS' .
So,please suggest me to solve this problem.
Is there is any user exit to overcome on this problem.??

the UOM of QA32(inspection lot) is always similar to the UOM of MM03(material master).

it seems that for an inspection lot, with lot origin 03:Production, its Inpsection Lot qty doesnt change when the Production order Total Quantity field changes. Only the Actual Inspection Lot changes.
How can the Inspection lot quantity field of the Inspection Lot be changed accordingly?
Should the enhancement PPCO0007 be used?and then LOSMENGE (table QALS) =GAMNG (table AFKO)
Can it be done?

Hi,
In that case, you can do it by :
- Reread the master data of production order(From Menu Bar).
- The status of production order will be converted from "Released" to "Created".
- Release the production order again.

Inspection lot quantity in manual inspection lot (T.Code-QA01)

Dear Experts,
I have activated inspection setup "89" with lot origin '89".I have activated this inspection set up to a material in QM view.
When i want to create a manual inspection lot through T.Code QA01, the inspection lot quantity is a required field. But i do not want to enter a quantity here. I want to create manual inspection lot without quantity. Is it possible?
If yes, please suggest how to proceed.

    You must be careful when using this enhancement since this can lead to
    inconsistencies in inventory management. For example, if you change the
    quantity fields.
Logic:
Logic will be when you are using a specific Material say MATNR : xyz .......then disable the Qty field LOSMENGE.

Inspection lot measure unit

Hello,
I am straggling to find out where from the maintenance inspection lot (source 14) takes the "measure unit" to the inspection lot quantities tab?.
I find that "The system always selects the base unit of measure from the material master as the unit of measure for the inspection lot quantity"
But I works with inspection lot type 14 based on function location
Our BW team says that those units make them a lot of trouble

As per SAP help, system creates lot for maintenance order and for each piece of equipment.
My understanding is ,system always takes measurement unit in Inspection lot as PC for Inspection type 14
How ever for materials i.e ROH , HALB, FERT with inspection types 01,03,04,08 etc etc it takes from the material master as you mentioned.

When using the standard SAP customer returns process an inspection lot is automatically created. Can this inspection lot type 06 be changed to allow stock to transferred to u201CUnrestrictedu201D or u201CBlockedu201D stock in a similar way as inspection lot type 01.

Go to MM02, QM view, here deactivate inspection Type "06" and activate Inspection Type "05" i.e. Inspection for other goods receipt
And then go to Schedule line category of Return sales (For e.g. DN ) in VOV6 and assign the movement type as 655 instead of 653 and then run the complete new cycle and check.

Changing Inspection Lot Quantity

Hi Guru's,
Need a small bit of help.
I created a Sample manually with 11 ea's. I used transaction QPR5 to created an Inspection Lot from this Sample. The Inspection Lot that was generated has a Quantity of 11. (This is not an issue).
The issue is....I realized that I only have 9 pieces (EA's) and not 11. I have went into the Physical Sample (QPR2) and changed the amount from 11 to 9. Of course this doesn't update the Inspection Lot. I went into the Inspection Lot itself (QA02) and tried to correct the actual quantity of the Lot.
When I went into QE51n. The Inspection Lot is still reflecting the original quantity of 11.
Can someone please help me fix this? I am hoping I do not have to cancel the Inspection Lot and generate a new one.

In inspection test or lot text why are you not putting note - "this insp lot correct qty is 9 not 11".
This kind of lot are not stock relevant, this are for just record/ audit purpose. So to make clear to auditor you can put note as well. This will resolve your prob.
I hope this way you can achieve your req.

Inspection Lot status not getting changed to LTCA from REL for SubCon scenario

Dear All,
For ERSA material 01 inspection type is active with indicator Post to inspection stock only as it can be purchased. No other indicator is set.
This material can be sent for repairing outside with DAMAGE valuation type (stock provided to Vendor with DAMAGE valuation type).
For SubCon scenario, Purchase Order with Account Assignment Category F and Item Category L has been created.
Once GR using MB01 with 101 movement, consumption posting takes place and as Insp type 01 is active Inspection lot is getting created with status REL CALC.
At this time, DAMAGE stock against Vendor is getting reduced with Qty of 543 movement.
Now when, reversal 102 with MB01 is done against Purchase Order and details are adopted with reference to 101 material document, reversal is taking place, but at the same time respective material doc's Inspection lot status is not getting changed to LTCA. It remains REL only.
For 122 return to Vendor using MBRL also, Insp lot status is not getting changed.
Has anybody faced such issue? Is this standard SAP?
Kindly throw light on the process, is correct process followed?

You can only reset the sample Quantity using qa02>enter inspection lot>click on sample ->save>This will reset the sample(remove task list)
Now you can change the task list an attach modified sample
Or
Assign manual sapme calculation in Inspection type (without inspection task list)
This will allow you to maintain/enter the manual sample size during lot creation.

1) is it possible to correct the actual quantity inside an inspection lot that had already been skipped?
2) Can I also adjust the number of packaging pieces instead of only the kg's. For example: 10 barrels (1000kg) come in for inspection and 9 barrels (950kg) go out of it.

Hello Philippe,
1) as long as nothin has been inspected in the skip lot and the UD has not been made you could use QAC1 to correct the inspection lot quantity.
2) using various MM transactions you can change the quantity in a quality inspection, the actual inspection size then has to be adjusted via QAC1. This can only work as long as no results have been recorded. Refer to note <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/485141">485141</a> for details.

1. goto change routing / recipe -- change the specification
2. go to prod/process order --read PP master data
then do RR new spec. get reflected during result recording

You can change the Existing Inspection plans by doing setting at Cleint level as Replace MIC
When you cahnge MIC it will give popup of where used.You can change the task lists.
But this changes will not automatically reflect in an inspection lot.
for this you have to
Go to Qa02
Enter Inspection lot
Click on reset
save
check status of lot CRTD in QA32
now go to QA02
enter
click on Inspection Specification
selct sample
save
check status in QA32 as REL

Raw material issue for inspection from inspection lot

Hello friends,
My sample size is fixed i.e.75 gm for all raw material quality testing. I have defined sampling procedure with sampling type "fixed sample". I want that this amount should be decreased from total lot quantity when i am posting it to unrestricted use. i.e. for 10 kg inspection lot quantity, 9.925 kg quantity should be posted .Now, system propose whole quantity for stock transfer from quality to unrestricted after usage decision.

1) System doesnot take decimal in samples. if your basic unit is KG and you procure 10kg material system will consider sample amount as 1 kg. it will not take 0.075kg as the sample.
2) Other option is make the procurement in GMs but that will be difficult for purchaser to handle
3) or esle make use of this exit and do the posting based on that
QEVA0009 - UD: Predefinition of quantity to be posted to sample stock

Inprocess inspection lot quamtity & Serial number

Hello,
Sr. No. is generated after confirmation of sales order.
The production order is released & the inprocess inspection lot is generated. Production order quantity is 20.
Now the question is:
1. Why the inspection lot quantity always appears as '1'.
2. If in inspection setup, sr. no. possible is checked, then why (or how) sr no.s can be seen automatically during result recording (inspection unit number) field.

> Qmsl and mmsl serial No usage should be 3
so that what ever serial no assign to the GR will coming in the inspection lot and at the time od ud you can select accepted serial no only

Inspection lot creation based on "right" inspection plan version

I manage inspection plan ( inspection lot origin 01 ) with Change number; in this way I have differents inspection plan version based on date.
When I do a Good Entry based on purchase order , I need that system creates inspection lot version based on the purchase order creation date and not , as now, based on good entry date
Is it possible ?
When I create the purchase order I send to vendor also the inspection plan characteristich that have to be maintened ; for this reason I need to find same characterist during good entry inspection

You need to use one of the enhancements that Do-Wook has suggested. There is no standard SAP way to suppress the inspection based on the vendor batch number.
With the first enhancement you use the system to check for a previously received vendor batch and if one is found, then that batch number is proposed and not the next one from the numbering series. In this case, the lot isn't created than due to the inspection lot control of the inspection type.
With the second enhancement you check the vendor batch number and if it's been received you suppress the inspection lot creation and the stock goes right to unrestricted.
You'll probably need to do one or the other. Myself, I prefer the first enhancement.

Outbound trigerring for Inspection Lots

Hi Friends,
I am working on QM. I have to trigger inspection lots data in the form of an outbound idoc. I need to find out any creation/change in inspection lots data.
In this scenario the inspection lots will be created/changed when:
1) there is a creation/change (QA01, 02)
2) Production orders are released (CO02, 05)
3) GR done (MIGO), stock posted in QI.
Has anyone worked on such a requirement earlier? Any suggestions on flow-logic for picking up the inspection lots data in a custom wrapper program?

you should be able to create inspection lots when executing
BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE. See for example the attached note 536769 that
is about wrong status in the inspection lot created in this way.
Please review your data used for testing this BAPI.
