Inspection lot release problem

hi guys,
i have facing acute problem during inspection lot release,
errors area as listed below
inspection lot status CRTD, CHCR,SPRQ
1. characteristics result cannot be recorded for inspection lot 1000000...
2.no task list was assigned to the inspection lot,
plz help me out its very urgent,

Hi
It seems there is inspection plan created for this material. You can create inspection in QP01 transaction and maintain usage 5 (Goods Receipt) and status 4 (released) in the header inspection plan.
Once plan is created, go to QA02 (Change inspection plan) and enter inspection lot. Click on inspection specification tab, change key date to current date and click on task list/spec. button, Then plan will get assign to inspection lot. Save the inspection lot. Once again if you go to QA03 (Inspection lot display), you can find system status is chnged tp CRTD to REL.
Then you can able to enter results recording and usage decision for the lot.

Hi Gurus,
Can anyone tell me, how to release inspection lot manually as in actual its getting released automatically as i want to release the same at user level decision & can it be possible at material type level. means for raw material it should be automatic but for FG it should be automatic release.

As per my understanding you want to release the lot of the finished good manually and for the raw material automatically .........Am I right ?
In that case in the material master in QM view under the inspection setup for the particular inspection type un-check the check box automatic assignment..
Now you have to release the inspection lot manually......by assigning the tasklist and/or material specification in QA02....
Do let me know if you face any problem regarding this.......

Inspection lot release

After the goods receipt the system has created inspection lot with status CRTD CHCR SPRQ,now we want to post this stovk to unrestricted.
Waht is the procedure to post quantity to unrestricted ,how to make usuage decision.

since there is no inspection plan for the material ,your inspection lot is not released,kindly create a inspection plan in QP01 ,with date previous then goods receipt ,then go in the inspection lot in change mode (QA02) press the inspection plan in the inspection characterisic tab and press the sample in the sample tab
then you can do the result recording and usage decision in QA32

QM - Inspection lot release without inspection characteristic

Hi experts, have initially created an inspection plan without inspection characteristics and a few lots have been Goods Receipt and inspection lot created. However due to no sample size is being defined at the inspection characteristics level, system is currently expecting:
Insp lot quantity: 5
Actual quantity: 5
Sample size: 0
Now that the inspection characteristics had been added into the inspection plan. Is there anyway to update the inspection lot to reflect the latest change and allow processing? Or do you have any better recommendation besides reversing GR?

1) Go to QA02, input the lot number
2) Menu > INspection lot > Reset Sample
3) Enter & Save
4) QA02
5) Inspection specification > Assign task list by click on Task/ specification
6) Go to Sample, do the SAmple calculation
7) Save

In inspection lot..task list does not fetch

Hi QM Guru..
when i do UD for fish material. with QA32....in QA32 showing inspection lot no..but when i select line item of inspection lot and click on inspection lot..one window open..when i go inspection specification for task list..when i click on task list....show the massage....
but i all ready created inspection plan from QP01...i have over ther MIC and sampling procedure also

Dear,
Is this quality Plan is back dated and Lot size should be 1 to 9999,999.
Why are you creating rate routing? check lot for 04 insp type in QA02.
Or for old material just create one new order and test it once again.
You can check the statuses in config.
QM>Quality Planning>Inspection Planning>General>Define Task List Status.
You should find that "4" is in there with all the check marks on.
QM--> Quality Inspection --> Inspection Lot Creation --> Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types.
There is a column called status. For each inspection ORIGIN, you can specify the status of the inspection plan. It appears someone in your system changed the 4's to an X and then created the status "X".

Problem Inspection lot 04 (early creation)

Hi Experts,
following problem:
We use early creation for inspection lot 04.
If Production Order was released the insp. lot was created. There is no stock quantity available in the lot, which is correct).
If i do the result recording and UD (Accepted), the insp. lot is finish.
After this step I do the confirmation of the Prod.Order and the goods receive (MB31) from production to stock.
I thought the material should go directly to main stock because of UD (Accepted).
But SAP moved the material to 917 (Q-Stock) and refresh the insp. lot with stock quantity.
I have to change the insp. lot to move the material from Q-Stock(917) to main stock.
This is not what we want.
If we do the accepance-UD before prod.order was doing the goods receive, the material should not go to quality. Should go
directly to main stock.
Is there a possibility or special setup which supports this process ?
Can someone give me a hint what I have to do ?

the reason why we will proceed in this way is the following:
Our customer wants to do a inspection after production is done and before goods receive.
We (QM) have to inform the customer min a week before finish the production. this is the reason for the early lot creation.
Sometimes the customer told us, it's not necessary to do the inspection. This is the reason why we will do the UD before the
goods receive from the production order is done. We will avoid that the material will be moved to QM because tehre a re no activities necessary.
So, is there a possibility move the material(if UD was done before goods receive) dirctly into main stock or is there a exit which can ´do the "posting" in the QM-lot automatically?

QM- HOW TO RELEASE INSPECTION LOT

I HAVE A PROBLEM,PLEASE HELP ME OUT;
GURUS, I WANT TO KNOW THAT HOW CAN I RELEASE THE INSPECTION LOT; SO THAT I CAN TRANSFER THAT QUANTITY FROM QA TO UNRESTRICTED USED;

First things first.
The inspection lot when created takes the default values from the material master setting like whether the inspection is to be triggered.
Once the inspection lot is created and after you change the material master or info records then it will not be refected in the inspection lot.
So important thing is to get the state of quality system when the inspection lot was created to solve the problem.
Go the transaction code [QA02] and see the requirements in the inspection specifications tab whether the Task List/ Specification button is enabled or not. If it is enabled means characteristics are not yet assigned. Press the button. If it dosnt work by pressing, it means no corresponding task list or material characteristic as specified in the materail master - Quality management Screen - Corresponding inspection type values. Even if you make changes now it wont be reflected in the lot. So get the settings at the time of creation of the inspection lot. And create the required task list [QP01] or material specification [QS61]. If already the task list / material specification button in disabled means the characteristics are picked.
Now goto transaction [QE51N] and specify your plant and material and generate the list of open lots
Select your lot and record the characteristics
Not you need to valuate and close each characteristic.
Save the data and come out of the trasaction after all the characteristics are recorded.
Proceed to TCODE QA11
Take a usage decision, save the data and quit the transaction.
Now check whether the lot status is changed or not
Please tell me if it dosnt work

Problem when created an Inspection Lot.

I have a major problem with Inspection Lot.
I have created an Inspection Lot but forgot to create an Inspection Plan for the Material for which the lot has been created.The Inspection Lot is in CRTD status which doesnt allow me to record the results.
I know one method that I can do GR reversal so that the material can be removed from Quality stock(Lot will come to LTCA status) and then can do GR again so to fetch Inspection Characteristics of the material from Inspection Plan which I have created so the new lot created will be in Release status which allow me to process the lot.
I want to know if there is any other method by which I can Include the Inspection Plan for the Lot which is in CTRD status without reversing GR Document.

create the inspection plan appropriately.
Then go to QA32.select the ispetion lot .
Press tab Inspection specifications.
Then press the button 'task list/specification'
It will be assigned.
Then refresh the screen.
The it will solve your problem.

Release of inspection lot

Dear Gurus,
I have a customer issue, I need to approve the time of the sample arrival to the lap, without using sample management.
Is there a way to apply a release for the inspection lot, where I can enter the receiving time and date.

In QA02 you'll find the key field on the specifications tab I believe. That is what it is called. The key field is used by the lot to search for a valid inspection plan. If the lot is in CRTD mode, you can change this. It is usually the same as the creation date of the lot.
When you get the sample, go in to QA02 and change the key date to the date the sample arrived.
Time is more of a problem. If you manually created the lot as suggest above the creation date and time could serve as the sample arrival date and time as suggest above. But that has some drawbacks. For one you can't edit the time. So the lot has to be created as soon as the sample arrives to properly reflect the date/time. Two, manually created lots don't always link to the same documents that an automatically created one does and of course manually created ones are not stock relevant.
To the best of my knowledge, the only place I can think of where you can modify, or record an actual time, would be in an inspection point identifer. I would encourage you to look at this functionality.

"Closing" Unused, but Released Orders with Inspection Lots

We have Process Orders which have been released, but been unused. When We come to Financially Close them we have problems as the Inspection lot is still on without a UD
Is there a way we can mass process UD of Inspection Lots (or deletion of IL) with Nothing Produced on the Order?

hi,
if you the process orders, make a list of those. now in qa16, you can do the mass UD. in that transaction, you can find out an option called " dynamic selection". if you expand that option, you will have an option called " production"; under that order. So you can put all those process orders and with the lot oringin 03, you will ge tp know the concerned inspection lots. then you do mass ud. this was your requirement.

Source inspection lot after PO release

This is regarding source inspection, i think in standard sap, source inspection lot can be trigger as soon as P.O. is created.
But in our scenario, every P.O. will be released by Purchase manager and sometimes he may not release.
My requirement is like inspection lot should trigger only when P.O. is releases.
Is this possible please advice.

The creation of the source inspection lots are based on the expected delivery date. They are not created when the PO is created or released.
See this SAP help for manually creating the source inspection. This same program is usually set up in most clients to run as a batch job on a regular basis. The parameters given the program determine how far in advance the source inspection lots are created. (QI07, QA51,QA52) QM>Quality Inspection>Worklist>Inspection Lot Creation>Source inspection

You may need to create several variants for the batch job and run multiple steps to the job. This allows you to set up certain materials and/or vendors with different opening periods and delivery dates dependent on the specific material.
It sounds like whom ever set your batch job up for this set the job up with very wide open parameters so virtually every PO created gets the source inspection lot created almost right away. You might improve your problem by just adjusting the parameters used in the batch job.
It would also probably not be hard to copy this program and have a programmer modifiy it so that only PO's with a release status are considered.
Of course it would probably be better to train the purchasing agents/manager to actually delete the PO's in a timely fashion when they don't intend to use them. It would keep the system cleaner and help out MRP.

Problem with serial Number in Inspection Lot

Dear All,
I have a typical problem that material is there in quality inspection lot and serial numbers are aslo assigned during 101 mvt. but when I am posting it to unrestricted stock system is not determine serial number and giving an error
*Stock data of serial number XXXXXX not suitable for movement
Message no. IO231*
All configuration setting are also OK as this problem comes for the first time and previously we were able to clear inspection lots of that material easily with serial number.
Any Idea to rectify that problem?

Check with your serializing Procedure check the assignment in Work scheduling View for this material also check in Quality view
for inspection type 4 for GR of Production order.

Purchase requisition to be created when Inspection lot is released

Hello,
A Purchase Requisition need to be created (for external services) at the time of Inspection lot generation. I tried using the Inspection Plan operation control key with 'Extenally processed processing' with Info record, Pur Org details.. etc. Still, when Inspection lot is released, Purchase requisition is not generated.
Any clue?

Can you explain your business scenario.
In standard QM you cannot create purchase requisition from inspection lot creation.
1. You can use Userexit QAAT001 to create purchase req if needed.
2. Refer to "external processing in QM' if you want to create Purchase req during production.
