Inspection Lot Stock: Post to GR blocked stock

Hi Experts,
During the IQC process (inspection type 01), first I use the 103 to post the stock to GR Block stock (100 pcs), then after the Usage Decision, I post the stock 80 to unrestricted use stock, 20 remain in the GR blocked stock.
So, the 20 stay in the GR Blocked stock, and what can I deal with them? Manually create a inspection lot?

Dear KK,
The GR Blocked stock could be released to unrestricted stock by the 105 type while doing the usage decision.
However, in this occassion, this 20 is remained in the GR blocked stock by using the "GR blocked stock" field in the Inspection Lot Stock tab of the QA14.

Hi,
In the two-step process, Inventory Management function isonly used.
Issuing plant
MB1B --> Movement type - 303
              Issuing plant & Storage location ---> Enter the receiving plant and storage location and quantity.
Receiving plat
MB1B --> movement tyoe- 305
         Enter the receiving plant and storage location. The material and quantity received.
The above process can be replicated using the TCode MIGO
Step 1 : Remove from Storage -- Other --Movement Type 303 Enter the From and Destination plant in the Transfer posting tab.
Step 2: Place in Storage -- Other/ Material Document (generated at the time of issue) movement tyoe- 305
            Enter the material and quantity received.
          Placement in Storage is only made in the unrestricted stock.
Possible reasons for carrying out the a stock transfer in two steps are:
a) The plants are located at quite a distance from each other and the goods are in transit for a prolonged period of time;
b) there is one employee responsible at each plant, and each can only post movements for his/her own plant.

Hi,
Blocked stock: It is the stock lying in our stock. i.e this stock is valuated. Material is moved to blocked stock under following circumstances.
1.GR is already made, but there are some quality issues which can not be solved immedaitely. At the same time one should prevent the use of that material.
2.During assembly / inhouse storage / internal movement if the material gets damaged & you can not scrap the material immediately as you are not sure about the reason for damage.
Goods receipt blocked stock: This stock is non valuated. It is done,
1.If there is gate entry(103 movement) for the material, which will be verified & released by the stores (105 movement) after verifiing the material with respect to the documents sent by the vendor.

Displaying inspection lot (not posted in inspection stock) as mrp element

Hi guys,
we are implementing SAP QM. Our problem is that we are not using the inspection stock because we are also implementing a non-sap warehouse system. So we are not posting our goods receipt which have to be inspected in inspection stock but the inspection lot for the material is generated. Now we want to display this inspection lot in the transaction MD04. We suspect that we have to injoin in coding which we want to avoid. Has anybody of you experience or information with this issue? If yes I would appreciate your help a lot.

thanks a lot for your answer. Unfortunately the situation is as i had explained. We are implementing SAP QM and we also have to link a external warehouse-management-system with our SAP-system-landscape. So if we want to post the goods receipt, which has to be inspected by quality department, in our warehouse manangement system, we cant post anything if the goods are on inspection stock. Goods in inspection stock can only be posted out with usage of the UD (usage decision). But the goods receipt place in reality is too small for waiting of this decision from quaility and so the goods have to be posted in the warehouse. Because of this situation we can not use the inspection stock. If we would use SAP WM we would not have this problem. We handle this problem in using restricted batches for the goods receipts. So we can post the GRs in the warehouse system but you can not use it if the usage decision is not made. I hope i have made the situation a bit clearer to you now.
My problem now is, that the material requirements planning team wants to see in MD04 the goods which are in a inspection lot as you can see it in standard if you use inspection stock for these goods. But if the goods are not posted in inspection stock with the inspection lot you can not see it in MD04, unfortunately. My question is, are there any user exits, customizing settings or any experiences/ideas of you to handle this problem?

Able to post Invoice for Blocked stock from quality

Hi
I did GR for material against PO for 50 pcs, During QA32 stock posting i posted 30 pcs to Unres. stock(101) and 20 pieces to blocked stock(350) storage locations.
Now when I am trying to create MIRO invoice verification, I am getting all the 50 pcs and available to post also for the entire quantity. How the system is allowing me to carryout Invoice verification for the blocked stock 20 pcs also ???
It should allow me to process the 30 pcs only which are in unres. stock .
How do I block the blocked stock from getting invoiced ?

Thanks for the reply, master does contain the control key, I also have the inpsection set_up for the materials. During PO in delivery tab at item level I am getting stock type as Quality Inspection. During GR, lot is getting generated and we are able to Stock post it using QA11. Every thing works fine till the stock is there in Quality till the run of Txn QA11. But once stock is out of quality we are having the issue for the stock posted to blocked, I can understand MIRO picking up Unrestricted Quantity of the Lot but why it is also picking the quantity posted to blocked stock as we do not want to pay the vendor for this stock quanitity till we clear it.
Is there any normal config setting to stop it form geting picked during MIRO.

Inspection lot creation not required for intercompany Stock transfer order

Hi Team,
The client does not want system to create inspection lots for inter comapny STO. But for intra STO system does not create the inspection lot and thye are happy with it.
I have have flagged the indicator "QM not active' for the movement type
101 entry as below at transaction code OMJJ.
101 B(goods movement for Purchase Order) X(Stock Transport Order)
Even after flagging the above indicator, system is still creating the inspection lot at the time of GR for InterCC STO.
Are you aware any other place to control inspection lot creation for Inter company STO.

The ispection types assigned to the material are given below.
Z05 Goods Return Inspection(copy of 05)
Z09 Shelf life extension Inspection(copy of 09)
Z89 Inspection for Quality Assurance(copy of 89)
Z90 Goods Receipt for Trading goods( It is a copy of 01 inspection type)
There is no inspection type 08 active in the material .

Inspection lot should not be created in stock transfer

Hai QM masters,
    I have a following scenarios in my client side
My client have 5 plants
   1)When a material is moved from one plant 1 to plant 2using stock transport order inspection lot is created since i have activated the 08 inspection type in the material master for partcularly for the movement type 349.But we have to restrict for the stock transport order from plant 1 and 2.Hw to restrict this?
2)Second scenario is When a material is tranfered from plant 2 to plant 4 using stock transport order inspection lot is created with number starting 800000XXX since i have activated the 08 inspection type in the material master.But when they do 349 movement inspection lot created with same number range how to restrict this?

I have activated the 08 inspection type for a material (say A) in both plants 1,2 and 3 for the 349 movement type.
But when they do stock transport order from plant 1 and 2 inspection lot get created when they receive it in plant 2.
My requirement is this shouuld not be created.
For the second one when they do stock transport order for material A from plant 2 to plant 3,the inspection lot no. is 800000XXX which starts with 8 which is the same as the inspection lot created when they do 349 in plant 3.My requirement is they should have different number ranges.
These happens because in both the scenarios inspection lot origin is 08.
How to restrict these?

Posting materials to blocked stock mvt 343 with ref. to a mat doc.

Hi,
I posted a goods receipt for subcontracting with MIGO trx and mvt type 101.
Now I want to post with MIGO a transfer posting (to blocked stock mvt 343) for the related material document but system can't adopt the related materials when entering the material document of the mvt type 101.
System replies with "Selected material document does not correspond with action to be executed"
I can only post manually with MIGO trx the related materials.

This is the documentation that might enlighten you on this issue:
Diagnosis
You want to post a goods receipt, goods issue, or transfer posting with a material document as a reference. The document entered does not correspond with the prerequisites in order to be used as a reference using this functionality.
System Response
The prerequisite of this functionality is that there is a material document without a reference, in other words, the document posted at the time must have been an 'Other' goods receipt/goods issue or an 'Other' transfer posting, according to the selection.
If, for example, you want to post a goods receipt, you cannot use a transfer posting document as a reference.
Procedure
Choose a document suitable for the selected activity.

Inspection lot transfer posting

Hi Experts,
I am trying to do QAC2 for the inspection lot for which UD is not done.
But I am getting error as "You cannot make a quantity transfer posting for insp. lot xxxxxxxxx
Message no. is Message no. QA068.
But the stock is still in quality.
So can anybody guide me on this?

Recurring inspection and blocked stock

Hi
- I have activated inspection type 09
- Batch management is active
- Next inspection interval is maintained in material master
- Inspection lots are generated in QA07
- Batch stock is moved to blocked stock
Issue:
When I record the usage decision I want the batch stock to be automatically transferred from blocked stock to unrestricted stock.
How is this achievable?
I have searched for function module but I am not sure whether this is correct?

Hi Amol,
the inspection lot quantity is moved to blocked stock.
If I run the process with move to QI stock, then the stock posting is working with transfer of inspection lot quantity from QI stock to unrestricted stock.
The strange thing is also that when using blocked stock during the inspection there is no tab page for stock quantities in the inspection lot.
But then it seems strange that this option exist - I seem to remember when testing appr. 10 years ago that it was working - perhaps a function module needs to be assigned to the usage decision code? I have looked but not found any suitable one yet.

Assign HU in Inspection Lot

Hi All,
My client used QM Module at the moment.
When they have the scenario that a quantity of a batch needs the stock status needs changing for a partial quantity they slect a quantity in the inspection lot and set that to Blocked stock. The UD stays at Released as any change to the UD would impact the entire batch.
We are looking to implement HUM and have concerns how this would work for HU's.
In the inspection lot I believe you can change stock status for a quantity, can this work for HUM also?
I assume not!!!

Inspection lot closed &stock posting done - Reversal of GR -Process order

I have a scenario
where inspection type 4 , Final GR for process order
Inspection lot created , stock posting done from QI stock to Unrestricted
now the user wants to reconcile the process order , Meaning he wants to reverse the GR Qty
may be partial or fully
Is it possible , to reverse the GR after stock posting via Quality
and can i reverse my UD , meaning i reverse back UD

Delivery inspection (10) stock posting

my client require delivery inspection should stock posting facility,
i have maintain inspection type 10. but from this inspection type only can do the result recording, i can do posting material in block stock if material is rejected.

Hi,
There are only two options either u accept the material or Reject the material.
If the Material / Inspection lot is accepted then PGI will happen. Since Material is already in Unrestricted stock we can not have stock to post.
But when u reject the material you will certainly want to block the material. As Anand replied you have 2 ways to post the material to block.
At max what you can do is Use followup action for UD to block the QTY.
Write a function module which picks the qty from inspection lot quantity ,batch ( Table QALS ) etc.
Talk to ABAPer.
I have not tried this any time. But logically it should work.

GR Purchase Order to Blocked Stock / Inspection Type 01

Hi all,
I want to receive 100 KG of Material X from a purchase order: 95 KG to Quality Inspection Area and 5 KG to Blocked (Stock Category S)
For the 5 KG to be received to the Blocked Stock, I used movement type 103, the material was received to "GR Blcoked Stock".
Then I used movement type 105 to release it. I chose Stock Type "Blocked".
After posting, the material was received to "Quality Inspection Area" and NOT to Blocked Stock. I think the reason was the Inspection Type 01 was activated, so the material was received by default to Quality Inspection Area.
How can I receive a material directly to "Blocked Stock"?

Incorrect Stock Posting thru UD

Hi All,
My scenario is like this.
The user has made a incorrect posting in the UD.he posted to the sample usage instead of blocked stock stock. (Mvt Type 331). To correct it some reveresed it thru Mvt type 332. Now the stock is in QI.
Now the stock has to be posted to the blocked stock.As he has already made the UD, when he went to the QA12, all the tabs in the stock proposal greyed out.
They have also tried to post the stock to Blocked thru Mvt type 350, but it is not allowing as the material is QM active.
Due to this Finished goods inventory is understated by over $200k.
Please provide some solution to move the stock to the blocked.

if I understand you correctly you are trying to reverse postings done by the UD.
In this case I would recommend looking at the following notes:
