Inspection lot to be created if thge delivery is cancelled

Hi All,
Our client's requirement is whenever the delivery is cancelled with movement type 602 the inspection lot should be created and the material should be placed in the quality inspection stock.
We have activated inspection type 06 in QM view.
How to achieve this?

Hi,
Instead of activating 06( not stock relevant ), activate 05(stock relevant) inspection type & In cutomizing " Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type" - 602 QM should be active.

Inspection lot not being created against inspection type 10 or 02

We need to inspect material at the time of goods being delivered to material. I did the following steps:
1. in SPRO, Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type, against Delivery Type LF we mentioned insp. origin 10
2. Assigned insp. type 10 in material master QM view
3. Created Sales Order using the same material code
4. Created Outbound Delivery against Sales order, but when we press button for Post Good Issue, the system issues the message "Status of inspection lot 100000000004 / partial lot 000000 does not allow good issue" BUT NO INSPECTION LOT IS BEING SEEN WHEN WE USE QA32/QA02. I have also seen the QALS table using SE16 and no record for inspection 100000000004 is seen.
Please also note that
1) other inspection lots are being created and processed normally such as inspection origin 01, 14, 15, etc.
2) each time we try again to create delivery and press post good issue button, IL number is incremented say 100000000005, then 100000000006, 100000000007, so on.
3) the issue is the same for insp. origin 02

Inspection lot should be created only for particular vendor

Can anyone please help in achieving the below scenario:
*Material has been assigned to the inspection type A (one time inspection) has been set as preffered and active in the inspection set up in the material master.
*Quality level has been created for material and vendor such that inspection should be carried out when next stage is 1 and no inspection should carried out when next stage is 2.
*Tasklist has been assigned with material and vendor .
Material can be supplied by different vendors,For this material, inspection should be done only for one vendor and for other vendors there should not be any inspection to be done and no inspection lot should be created.i.e Inspection lot should be created only for one vendor say AA whereas now inspection lot is getting created when goods receipt is done for the purchase order with other vendor BB.
My requirement is the inspection lot should not be created when goods receipt is done with other vendors say BB except AA.
Is there any other way other than using quality info record to achieve this.
I can try with DMR but the thing is there should not be inspection lot created while posting GR.
can anyone suggest me any other way to achieve this requirement.

There are user exits when you create an inspection lot. One of those could be used to suppress the inspection lot. Have you looked at these? Have you researched any QM user exits yourself yet? This isn't the first time this specific question has been asked over the years.
It's not hard and there are lists of QM user exits available all over the internet.
Please do some research.
You can also assign vendors to inspection plans with a DMR that requires one inspection, and than after that creates all skip lot inspections which you automatically close by a batch job. The first lot can be manually forced closed. Thereaftter all receipts would be skipped. Not 100% but pretty darn close. This requires that you know which vendors to assign to which plan. Probably as much data maintenance as maintaing the Q-info records.
And yes.. your client needs to come up with better reasons than "I don't wanna..". It's part of a consultants job to convince them.

In standard the creation status wont allow to post the material ,another way is change the system status CRTD in BS22 and allow inventory posting( i haven't checked)

Integration with EWM-Inspection lot not getting created

Hi,
Inspection lot not getting created after GR is done.
The scenario is Storage location is connected to external warehouse management,so after the GR is done in the legacy system via interface it is updated in ECC.so while checking the material document inpection lot is not created.
Can anyone please tell me the necesaary check points and integeration steps between WM and QM in this case .

Since you didn't say much, I assume you are creating stock into ECC via LSMW using 561 movement. Now to get inspection lot for these batches/ docs, you need to activate inspection type 05.
Go to material master QM view, assign and activate inspection type 05.
Additionally, create a respective inspection plan/ task list for the material(s) to carry out RR and get the consistent inspection lots.

Dear All,
By mistake i activated inspection type 01 in material master. then po raised. grn made and lot goes to inspection. then we regularise quality flow and clear lot. now i deactivated inspection type 01 from material master. also modified schedule agreement line item stock type in GR/IR control male blank which was earlier X. now fresh PR / schedule line updated and while doing MIGO system giving error " Inspection lot cannot be created"
What to do ?

Hi Vijay,
Check if Post to Inspection stock is checked in material master Quality view , also check if Q info record is still active for vendor material combination to avoid this further
For exsisting issue reverse the GR activate the inspection type again and do the GR and clear through QM

Hi,
You have added Inspection Type "01", also check whether it has been marked as "Active"
Also check whether you have created MIC (QS21) and Inspection Plan (QP01) and assigned in QS61.

Inspection lot not getting generated during SD delivery

Hi QM experts,
I am working on QM in SD function. I activated inspection type 10 in the material master in QM view as shown below.
I created a QM info record SD through QV51 for the combination of customer and Sales organization and assigned the material and quality inspection as before delivery as shown below.
Now I created a sales order for the material with sales organization and when I making the delivery system is allowing delivery and no inspection lot is generated and delivery is also not stopped. am i missing something..can u please guide..

You have activated 10 and 11 both , any specific reason ?
If you activated 10, then system will allowed you delivery check QM customization---> During Shipping. have you assigned inspection type against Delivery type in customization ?

Material not posted in quality and no inspection lot has been created

We are trying to carry out the sales return scenario . we have activated the inspection types 06 and 12 to the material how ever when we do the PGR for the returns order the returns is carried out and the stock goes in unrestricted and not in quality .
Please advice how to resolve this issue

Follow the below Customer Return procedure.
Case1.
The 06 - Inspection type is not stock relevant and also it is not possible to change bcz it is SAP std.
1. If you want inspection for Customer with stock, active 05 - Inspection type in Material Master, and move the stock from customer return to QI by using MB1B with Mvt type 457 Stock transfer returns to QI. After that system will create the Inspection lot in 05 Inspection type.
2. If don't want stock for inspection and directly post to Unrestricted using MB1B with mvt type 453 Transfer posting to returns from customer to Unrest.
3. Customer return to Blocked stock using MB1B with mvt type 459 Stock transfer returns to blocked
Case2.
Inspectoin type 05 is a stock relevant inspection type.
To use 05 you must assign the 05 inspection type to the delivery item in configuration.
follow this path.
tcode vov6 - there will be schedule line category DN.
go to details of DN.In Business data,check which movement type is assigned here.
I think in your case it will be 653.
change it to 655 and try now.

Inspection lot is being created before good issue

Dear gurus.,
Here´s the scenario: a Fert Material has InspType 05 active and inspection plan is also created.
The users on SD are trying to post goods issue at VL01n returning this material to our stock. However the system show a message "Status of inspection lot 050000000242 / partial lot 000000 does not allow good issue".
This messages does not appear when they SAVE the "delivery" BEFORE posting the good issue. When that happens, a inspection lot is created at QA32 without movement type. So QM has to process this inspeciton lot before SD do the good issue. When the goods issue is carried out then another inspection lot is created on QM with a movement type 655.
I can´t figure out why the system is creating this inspection lot BEFORE posting the goods issue. I´ve check the "data for goods issue" at QA03 on those ispection lot and it says numbers of the costumer, sales order and delivery. Shouldn´t be only one inspection lot with movement type 655?
I kindly ask for your help.

It sounds like your system has maintained an inspection type for the return delivery type in the SD config and that you have QM activated for movement type 655 in config. Do one or the other.
When the inspection type is configured against the delivery type, the inspection lot is created when the delivery is created.
The config is found in QM, quality inspection, inspection lot creation, inspection at shipping.

SUB: Quality inspection lot neot creating.
when i am do GIR, system is not creating Inspection lot for the material,
i have maintained the QM view in material master and assigned the inspection type aslo, then why system is not creating an Inspection lot for quality inspection, is there any extra settings need to be maintaied in QM.

There is a small check mark which says "active " for each inspection type you maintained in QM view .Make sure you have checked this .If you have not ,then there is no way a lot will be created .
Please let me know on any furthur doubts coz as far as i know this is a common mistake every person new to QM does .If this not the issue then get back to me .

Inspection lot shouldn't create for Transfer posting(311) sloc specific

Dear Expert,
i need expert advice on this issue.
here specific to one plant when user is doing transfer posting through movement type 311, user doesn't want inspection lot (specific to storage locations ).
Here specific to that Material quality is active. and business want quality active for other all plants.
i tried the T code OMJJ, if i deactive the quality here than this will applicable to all plants.
here v can deactive the quality at plant level through Material Master but here business wants to restrict at sloc level only.
b'coz if v deactive at plant level than quality will skip at the time of GR.
so how we can control the inspection lot creation for movement type ( 311 ) and storage location combination.?

Inspection lot not getting create for 01 Insp type after Intransit

Hi Qm Gurus,
I have a Material 'A' which is producing in the plant IN05 and transferring to IN06 plant. We have Scheduling agreement PO for this. After Scheduling Agreement we are doing Transferring the Goods thro 351 GI Movement type. So now the parts will be there in transit.
So now when I receive this goods in IN06 thro 101 MT, Insp lot is not getting create, it goes to Unrestricted. If I create a std PO for the same when I receive the goods thro 101, it is posting into Insp lot. But after 351 & if I do 101 material is not going into Inspection. Pls advise.
I checked the Insp type 01 Active for IN06, Quality info record is fine, Quality plan also fine. Pls let me know whether i am missing something?

Please activate inspection type 08 stock transfer ..
If this inspection type is active then during stock transfer lot gets generated.
Also check QM active for this perticular movement in custamizing setting.

Inspection lot not created on GR for production order

I want to create an inspection lot upon receipt from production. Task list is set up. Inspection type 04 is assigned in material master. But when I do the goods receipt for a production order, inspection lot is not created. In the quantity tab of material document, I see that the staus GR doc is 7(Inspection lot is created at inbound delivery). I don't know where it is coming from.
Please help.

I'm not sure what you mean by creating lot after receiving.
When you do a GR from production the proper inspection type is the 04 inspection type. Not 05. This is pretty standard SAP functionality.
Check the material movements for 101 (I assume you're using a 101 GR material movement), and make sure in config no one has deactivated QM for the material movement.
Then, make sure you start with a freash production order. Don't copy from a previous one.
