Inspection Lot with status CHCR

Hi,
I am facing following problem in QM -
I have maintained inspection type 03 & 04 in Inspection Set up for a raw material master. When I create PO & receive material against the PO, the inspection lot is created & material is posted to inspection. The lot has following status:-- CHCR Characteristics must be created. Here the system does not allow me to post the usage decision for the lot & I am unable to post the stock to unrestricted use.
Pl. suggest if anyone knows the answer

Hi,
Did you go for Change inspection result before changing usage decision,
if not go by the fallowing process.
Menu bar-> Goto->change inspection lot
Put the Inspected qty, results, Origi insp data, insp desc,
click on lock tab and Accept the results.
Then go for change usage decision and accept.
Quality inspection results will be updated in the system and stock will be moved to respected stock type

Want to do mass processing for inspection lots with status SPRQ

Hello,
My company using early lot creation for 04 inspection type. We have thousands of inspection lots with status "UD ICCO SPRQ PRII PRSI STUP". Now due to SPRQ status, system is not closing process orders associated with thousands of inspection lots.
Is there any transaction where I can do mass processing of inspection lots to change the status "SPCO" from "SPRQ"?

Cancellation of Inspection Lot with Status LOLK

Lot with Origin 08 has the status "ICCO SPCO BRRQ LOLK". Stock has been scrapped through movement type 713 from the quality inspection area but the lot is still is displaying in QA32.
When we are trying to remove the status LOLK through QA12 system is not allowing to enter into screen and giving message "This function cannot be carried out."
How to cancel or remove this lot?

Hi,
status LOLK means Lot locked for batch record
So go to QA32 and select the relevant inspection lot and go to the Usage decision tab.
Click the menu bar " Usage Decision" and go to
Functions-block for batch record---deselect
Then save the lot and come again to functions--- cancel the lot.
By doing this you can cancel your lot
How to cancel or remove this lot?

04 inspection lot with status SPST

Dear Experts,
We are using Handling Unit (HU) functionality in FG material,
1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
3. In regular scenario, we do GR of all 50 HU's using tcode COWBPACK,
4. All 50 HU's are posted in to unrestricted & UD is given using tcode QA32 & status UD SPCO.... is updated in inspection lot,
5. The HU posting in unrestricted can be happen before GR also (which observes no problem),
But in rare scenario, we need to cancel / delete the some of HU's at that time following steps are involved -
1. We create HU's (say 50 HU's) using tcode COWBPACK,
2. On creation of HU, an inspection lot of type 04 is created for 50 HU's.
3. HU posting in unrestricted is done for 45 HU's (System status SPST is updated in inspection lot),
4. Balance 5 HU's are deleted from system using tcode HUMO,
5. UD is given to inspection lot & status UD SPST.... is updated in inspection lot.
Now the problem is, after settlement & variance calculation of production order when we try to update status CLSD (Close) in production order the system give an error "Inspection lot 040000XXXXXX for order XXXXXXXX has not yet been completed" this is due to system status SPST is there instead of SPCO.
As the 5 HU's are deleted hence the stock posting can not be completed. Even we can not cancel the inspection lot due to status SPST.
Please suggest how to resolve this issue to update the status CLSD in prodction order.

Inspection Lot with Zero stock posting qty

Dear QM Consultants,
We have come across following scenario,
1.     Repetitive manufacturing
2.     Material has inspection type 04 and Z04. Preferred inspection type is not ticked. Z04 inspection type has been assigned to inspection lot 04.
3.     Production GR done by 131 movement
4.     Inspection lot generated with reference to 131 movement type. Lot for inspection type 04 is created.
5.     Inspection lot qty in QA32 it shows correctly as that of GR qty.
6.     But when we click on UD, in stock posting tab, qty to be posted it shows as ZERO. So no qty is available for stock posting.
Has anybody came across such scenario? Is this any bug? Any SAP note for this?

Dear Sujit, Thanks for so prompt reply,
Basically this is a complex case,
1.     See we have set Posting Proposal in Usage Decision as u2018To unrestricted useu2019 in selected sets for usage decision. That means we need not every time go to stock posting tab. The moment we select ACC UD code it automatically posts the stock to unrestricted use.
2.     Now, what has happed, by 131 movement declaration, backflush happened with 261 movement for child parts.
3.     Inspection lots with inspection type 04 were created. (Here we did not note whether the stock was posted in quality inspection or in unrestricted use)
4.     Now the requirement is to cancel 131 movement document. Kindly note UD were not given up to this moment.
5.     Now through MFBF, user did document specific reversal. As a result of which and as per my knowledge 132 movement should happen and 262 should also happen. At the same time inspection lot status should be set to LTCA. But in actual case 132 movement happened and 262 did not. Surprisingly inspection lot did not set to LTCA status. It remained in REL mode only.
6.     After this document specific reversal, user gave UD to these inspection lots without noticing where the stock was lying.(in unrestricted or in quality inspection). So the lot status set to UD   ICCO SPCO STUP after giving usage decision.
7.     Now while doing reverse engineering that why 262 movement did not happen, we came to know that no 321 movement happened for the inspection lots which were generated with reference 131 movement document
8.     Also, qty to be posted it shows ZERO as explained in my earlier post.
9.     When we display 132 movement document through MIGO, in where tab it shows stock type as Quality inspection. That means stock was lifted from QI for 132 movement.
In short it cannot be predicted where the stock was actually posted whether in QI or in unrestricted use. But yes the post to inspection stock tick has been ticked in material master.
Can you help further in this regard?

Quality Management - Insp lot with status CRTD CHDR SPRQ

I am not able to do usage decision for Insp lot with status CRTD CHDR SPRQ but I can do usage decision for status REL CALC SPRQ.
Can anybody know why ?

got QA02 check in inspecion specification TAB.
If there is noe inspection plan (group)
you need to create a inspection plan, and then come to QA02
then you need clickon TAsk list/spec button in insp.specification tab.

Inspection lot system status shows CRTD PASG

While running Calibration scenario in PM , Order generated with inspection lot.
But when we go for Change data for inspection lot system status shows CRTD PASG, its not in released state.

Pl check ur task list has been assigned to maintenace plan
Once u assign U will be need to manualy release the Inspection lot by using QA02.
You can go to QA02 and in the inspection specification Tab click on Task list push button , You may have to change the key date adjacent to the push button in same tab to say today's date. Since the specs are not got assigned to it.
Now go to sample tab and click on calculator.
Save your transaction Lot will be in REL state.

Change Inspection Lot System Status

Hello. This forum has been very helpful in the past. Am a novice.
We have a material that wasn't completely set up when the inspection lot was created. An operation 20 needs to be added. Operation 10 exists, but no results recording have taken place yet. Current status is REL CALC SPRQ ORRQ. Since the inspection is released, we can't change the key date. How can we get it back to a state where we can update the key date?

Yes, I do mean that only. You need to reset the inspection lot using T code QAC3.
Go to QAC3>Enter inspection lot number> Hit Enter> Save> Terminate the transaction.
Then, refresh the inspection lot in QA32, you would see it with system status CRTD*.
Next, go to QA02> Inspection lot num> Insp. Specifications> Change the key date to today> Click on Task list/spec (It will display the message that inspection plan *** has been assigned to inspection lot.
Then, click on Sample> Smpl. > Save.
You'll get the inspection lot with REL* status with latest Inspection plan assigned.

Inspection lot with 01 origin for stock transfer (Intra company STO)?

Hi Sap Gurus,
As per standard SAP configuration for 101 movement type, 08 is the inspection type used for stock transfers (Intra company STO). But, there is a requirement from business to use 01 for Intra STO. Is it possible to get an inspection lot with 01 origin while GR to the delivery created for Intra STO ( Stock transfer B/n plants from same company code)?.

Its STO Purchase order between two plants under same company code. System triggers movement type 101 with movement indicator B - Goods movement for Purchase order and Receipt indicator X - Stock transport order. Here system expects inspection lot origin 08 as per standard SAP configuration(OMJJ).
I just wanted to check, is it possible to get inspection lot from 01 origin for this type of stock transfers. If anyone who worked on this area, please share your inputs.

Creation of Recurring Inspection Lots with Serial numbers

Hello,
We have the following scenario at our client :
MIGO_GR is used to create GR for materials with Serial number requirement. The serial numbers can be generated automatically or manually entered on the screen. At this point of time, the Shelf Life expiry date & Next Inspection date are calculated based upon the Production date. The Batch gets created with Next Inspection date, Inspection Lots are created and the Serial numbers are assigned by the system. The stock moves into QI.
The stock is moved from Quality restricted to Unrestricted stock via QA11. The serial numbers are handled by the system or can be managed on screen.
Transaction QA07 (Deadline Monitoring of Batches) is used to create Recurring Inspection. QA07 gives error message IO304 that "Only 0 serial numbers entered instead of 1". The problem is that system doesn't pick up the corresponding serial numbers.
OSS # 497845 mentions that Transaction QA07 can not handle serial number. The serial numbers are very critical to the business process.
Has anyone come across this situation before ? Please suggest solution or workaround. I tried using BAdI "INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE" & was able to create Inspection Lots with serial number assignment, also manipulated Batch to change the Next Inspection date. The problem is Material Movement (322) Document does NOT get created.
Also tried implementing BAdI as per OSS # 608830 but doesn't give desired results.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Inspection lot with stock tab for sale return from customer.

Dear,
In our organization there are two scenarios,
1)     Make to order- Strategy group -20
2)     Make to stock- Strategy group -10
I have maintained 05 inspection types in QM view for sale return inspection from customer.
1) In make to order scenario Inspection lot created with inspection stock tab which is OK.
2) But in make stock scenario no inspection lot is generated.
    Remember I donu2019t want inspection lot without inspection stock tab as per insp. type-06
So please suggest me, what can I do for getting inspection lot with stock tab for make to stock scenario.

Actually it is not useful in manual inspection lot because manual inspection lot used to check your quality of material at any movement.
Means for example your raw material is in store department but some time you suspect something about quality & you take decision to check quality of material that time it can be used. So in this case result record is mandatary,
Because your intention to create lot to checked material so not use ful without specification .
Also not any posting happening through this lot.just to check the material at any instance.
For any further clarification revert me back.
Some time client want to create lot but do not want to take results for that just they are interested in giving
UD & stock posting in that case you can remove tick task list required .This requirement mostly demanded for certain Engg items they do not want go material directly to unrestricted. it will go through UD.
But manual inspection lot I do not think it much useful.

INSP LOT WITH CRTD CHCR STATUS

I have created inspection lot for sample management (insp type 15).
Quality plan for that is with usage 9.
but still lot is created with status CRTD CHCR .
what may be the possible reasons?

In Quality plan at header, i have maintained
usage 9,
status 4,
lot size 0-9999999999,
insp point 200,
assigned the sample drawing procedure
and i have assigned one quantitative inspection charracteristic for which i have not assigned any sampling procedure.
is it mandatory to assign the sampling procedure to characteristic?
also i have checked the dates of the Q.plan and inspection lot.
all dates are same.
still lot is CRTD.
when i am tryimg to assign the quality paln through QA02,and clicking the "Task list/spec" tab,nothing is happening.neither system is assigning the plan nor giving any message like "no plan exist"
please help.

How to cancel inspection lot with REL status

Hi Guru's,
I am not able to close old process orders becuase of active inspection lots in the system, Error message is "inspection lot doesnot have necessary data" . I could see there are lot many old inspection lots which are in REL status, I am not able to cance these inspection lots in QA02(option is grayed out) How to cancel these inspection lots which are in REL status?

[QM] How to create an inspection lot with task list assigned?

Hello, everyone.
I know, the similar questions have been asked plenty of times, but I am still unable to find a suitable receipe of the inspection lot creation. My goal is to create an inspection lot programmatically and be able to record its results using, e.g., BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS.
Creating a lot does not appear to be a big problem. I just call the following FMs:
QPL1_INITIALIZE
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE
QPL1_UPDATE_MEMORY
QPL1_INSPECTION_LOTS_POSTING
BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
As a result, I have a new shiny inspectin lot, but it comes with statuses "CRTD" and "CHCR". I do specify PLNAL and PLNNR fields values for the QALS structure which is passed to QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE, but that does not seem to have any effect. When I call BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS later (result values and inspection points come from another lot which is used as a template), it reports of beging unable to find characteristics for the inspection operations (error E026).
Does anyone know which of the QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE parameters affect task list assignment besides PLNAL and PLNR? Or maybe there is a special FM which associates a task list with an inspection lot?

Hi Samuel,
You can get create an Agent as a Task by using the following steps:
1. Go to Customizing --> EHS --> Industrial Hygiene & safety --> Risk Assessment --> Specify Agent Types
2. Click on "TASK' Agent type and click on Details icon (CtrlShiftF2)
3. In the "Only EHS-IHS" drop down, Select "No"
4. Save the entry
5. Now try creating an Agent [CBIH92] and you can create an Agent as a Task.
