Inspection plan assignment

Iu2019m facing an issue when creating inspection lots.
I have one task list group with 3 counters inside.
Counter 1     Material A / Plant A / Customer A;
Counter 2     Material A / Plant A / Customer B;
Counter 3     Material A / Plant A / Customer C.
When I create these inspection lot through of transaction QA01, the system is assigning the inspection plan properly to each one of these combinations.
If the creation is done through a delivery the system doesnu2019t assign any inspection plan.
Somebody can help me?

The inspection lot origin that I'm using is 02
I created 2 inspection plans to 2 differents customers.
I also created 2 delivery process with 2 differents customers and the Inspection Lot was created after the Goods issue in the delivery process, but the Status is CRTD.
As I believed that it was wrong, then I tried to create new inspection lots through the transaction QA01 to each one of this customers, with lot origin 02 to check the system behaviour.
At this test the system assigned properly the inspection plan to the inspection lot.
I read the explanation of marwadi, and I understood that can't assign inspection plans at the Customer level.
Can you check if is it OK?

HI,
another way could be the use of QP03.
Select your inspection plan. In the plan overyou press the button "material assignment". YOu should get a listof all materials that are linked to the plan. But you should keep an eye on thegroup counter, as all group counters and assignments are shown.
Another way could be to build query with SQ01.

Create Inspection plan at once for many materials through QP01. Possible?

Dear Friends,
Is it possible to create Inspection Plant for more than one material at onece through QP01 when operation activity and Characteristics are same. I will change the Characteristics specifications afterwards.

As suggested in earlier reply you can assign multiple materials to one inspection plan.
But you may still need more than one plan because of
1. UOM is maintained in Inspection plan header. So you have to create different inspection plan if you receive materials in different Unit of measures.
2. Usage is also at header level, so depending on configuration, usage for 01 inspection type may be different from usage for 0101 inspection type.
If you like the user exit approach.
1. Create a dummy material and assign default inspection plan to this material.
2. In the user exit change the inspection plan assignment. Assign inspection plan from this dummy material.
Form us this was a very useful approach during testing or for new material where inspection plan was not created in time.
Once this default inspection plan is assigned, inspection lot is released even without inspection plan. If we need, we can always change the default inspection plan in QA02 transaction before RR

Assigning a different inspection plan to an inspection lot

I have a situation where the incorrect inspection plan is assigned to an inspection lot. Is there any mechanism to assign a different inspection plan to an inspection lot i.e. without having to reverse a goods receipt.

Why are you not checking these things I am sure the reason would be there only. If dont wana check it is your wish. Any ways best of luck

Re assignment of material from inspection plan group

Dear Experts,
I have an issue, we got a material which has multiple groups assigned to it.
How to remove the materials assignment from the inspection plan group?
Since the group contains more than 1000 line items, it is very laborious to search every line item and delete manually.
Is there any 1 shot way to remove the assignment?
Please help me out in this, because of multiple assignment, the lot gets into the status of CRTD.

First include quality view in material master. There assign inspection type 04. Inspection during GR. Then activate this.
Then in QA 32 assign inspection characterstics with UD code and set release to this.
Once you do GR for production in MB 31 goods will be automatically posted to inspection stock.
Then double click on that in MD 04 screen and do UD with good quantity and scrap qty with correct storage location.
after savings this goods will be automatically posted to unrestricted stock.

QM-Assign inspection plan to a variant of material (classification view)

Hello,
Inspection plans are commonly assigned to materials.
In my case, I would like to manage, in <b>Classification view</b> (MM01), a new characteristics named "Variant" that could have 2 or more values, depending on which variant I order to my supplier.
<b>But is it possible to assign an inspection plan at this sub-level ?</b> In QP01 the only possibility I see is assigning a material to the inspection plan. Can I customize something, or does it exist a trip to manager another level of assignment ?

Now I understood your requirement. But I would like to know the exact purpose of this requirement so that I can try to give you correct solution.
I will consider your example:
Material : 123
Classification: Inspection
Characteristics 1: Variant 1 for Inspection 1
Characteristics 2: Variant 2 for Inspection 2
Selection of inspection plan takes place during the creation of inspection lot. So now you have to link this material/classifcation/inspection plan combination at the time of inspection lot creation. I doubt whether this can be done using one user exit.
The user exits are
EXIT_SAPLCZCL_001
EXIT_SAPLCZDI_001
EXIT_SAPLCZDI_002

WHEN WE DELETE THE REPEATED M.I.Cs AND ONLY RUN THE B.D.C WITH 16 CHARACTERISTICS WHICH ARE NOT REPEATED. THE PROGRAM/RECORDING RUN SUCCESSFULLY.
AS SOON ADDED THE M.I.CS WHICH REPEATED IN CHARA:170,CHARA:180;CHARA;190;CHARA;200;CHARA;210;CHARA220.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SAVE THE RECORDING AND WE GET ABOVE ERROR.
MY ABAPER IS SAYING ITS A FUNCTIONAL ERROR.

Assignning materials to a Inspection Plan by BAPI? QM

Dear sappers,
I a help with QP02. I need 2 Functions modules or BAPI's: 1st for assigning material-plant to an Inpection Plan and 2nd for cancelling the assignment of material-plant to the Inpection Plan automatically.
I have checked all BAPI's in SE37, but more effort is needed.
I know this is a real thread, so thanks for your help.
Does anybody have any brilliant idea?

I was able to assign Maintenance Strategy and corresponding package to operation. Thanks for your help.
But now I am stuck with some other issue. I have completed initial testing, then scheduling as well as result recording against scheduled inspection lots. But when I check "Display Stability History", I am getting tab for Initial Test along with one tab for each assigned conditions. But here issue is, under Intial Test tab I can see all characteristics results while for under other tabs (condition tabs) system shows only first characteristic result. Here please note that I have used same Inspection Plan and even result racorded and valution done (all accepted) is same for intial inspection lot as well as scheduled inspection lots for conditions.
I am unable to understand why system is showing All Characteristics results under Initial Test tab but only first characteristic is shown under Condition tabs.
Hope you can help me with this as well.

You have two option to upload mass materials to inspection plan.
Option1: Go to QP02 --> Material assignment screen. Here you can assign 14 materials at a time and do page down to assign next 14 materials. This is time consuming activity.
Option2: With help of techinical person develop LSMW/ BADI which call QP02 to update material assignment in inspection plan.

Mass assigning of inspection plans

Hey everybody
Im new to SAP and Im handling quality module. I have around 1 lac material to whom inspection plan has to be assigned. Can anybody help me (except BDC) out how can i assign them in mass so that it takes lesser time.

There is no easy mass load for inspection plan assignments.
You can use the engineering change management workbench which does allow fast manual entry, (I usually set up an excel spreadsheet and then copy and paste into CWBQM or QP02 depending on the client and how inspection plans are to be assigned.
In CWBQM I can do about 24 assignments every 10 seconds for about 144 a minute or about 8500/hour. With pauses or breaks about 6000 an hour is reasonable to expect.
In QP02 I can do about 14 per 20 seconds. That's about 42 a minute or roughly 2500 an hour. But you have to do them plan by plan so that can slow it down, especially if you only have a few materials per plan. Realistically about 1800 - 2000 an hour with pauses and breaks.
So with QP02, about 15,000 a day is realistic. With CWBQM about 50,000 a day could be done. Buit if you have 100,000 entries to make and you have to do 2-3 mock loads in different test systems plus the final go-live load, you are probably much better off having a program to do this. If it is primarily a one or two time thing, you could hire a temp, do it yourself or train a handful of team membes to do it. Using CWBQM and asking 7 other team members to do about 2hrs of loading would get your 100,000 done in 2-3 hours.

Sale Order / Project specific Inspection Plan

Dear All,
I want to create Sale order or Project specific inspection plan for a material. This is because, my customers want some specific inspection requirements for individual materials, which are assigned to Sale order or project. I want to inspect the material after receipt for these specific account assignments. I do not want to assign the customer because, my single customer may give different sale orders with different inspection requirements.
But in inspection plan, i can not see the assignment of sale order / project as i can see in Rate Routing.
Can anybody tell me about this?

Create a Material ONE as Configurable Material. Assign 300 Class Type Class with Charcateristics created through CT04 Transaction which in turn linked to MICs.
Create another Material TWO with same Class but not configurable but is a Variant of Material ONE (MRP 3 View)
Maintain Configuration Profiles for both Materials.
In Material TWO, for insp. type details click on Insp. by Config indicator.
Whenever a Sales Order is created, maintain the requirements from the Customer in Characteristics and save the Sales Order. Against this Sales Order whenever a GR is made for respective Production Order inspection lot is created against the specifications given by Customer and not that maintained in inspection plan.

How to use Same Inspection plan for Multiple Plants?

Hello,
When I create a Process Order for material (M1), release and save it for a Plant A then I get the Inspection lot automatically.
Now I have another Plant B that we have created. We would like to use the same Inspection plan that has been created for Plant A and M1
So in the changed mode(QP02) of the Inspection plan for Plant A in the material assignment tab I added the Material M1 and the Plant B. I am assuming this means when I create the Process order for M1 in Plant B then it should use the same Inspection plan.
But when I create the Process Order for M1 for Plant B, release and save it then it does not created the Inspection lot automatically(though I can create Inspection lot manually)
Can you tell me if there is setting that will allow me to create the Inspection lot automatically on saving the Process order which should use the Inspection plan that I just assigned.
And also let me know if there is a better way to handle same Inspection Plan for same material but multiple Plants.

Dear,
For your message my understanding is that you are not getting Inspection lot created in Plant"B". Inspection lot for a material would get created based on the Inspection Setup for the material master "QM View", so compare the QM for the material in both plants and correct it for Plant "B".
Probably I feel Inspection Setup is not complete for the material in Plant "B" - Generally when extending material by copying referance, in the QM view you need to click the Inspection Setup Button, for the data to be copied...otherwise it does not copy the Inspection setup from the referance plant.

Errors while creating Inspection plan using BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE

I am writing an upload tool for inspection plans. In this program I use bapi: BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE.
I made an extraction of a excisting inspection plan with SXDA_TOOLS which uses the same bapi and filled the bapi structures with the similar data. Now I am getting strange messeges in the return structure as below.
1. Material is not maintained for plant NNNN. But the material is mainained for that plant.
2. Consistency check not successful when creating operation
3. Inspection characteristic cannot be uniquely assigned to one operation
