Inspection Point at Operation Level

In inspection plan of a material there are 2 operations.Out of these 2 operations, i want to assign inspection point only for 1 operation.and for 2nd operation i dont want inspection point.but as it is a header level data,i am not able to do it.so how can i do this?

Hi
Then by std method it is very difficult to achieve. This may need some enhancement in QP01/QE11/QF01.
Here you have to make sure that for which operation you don't want Inspection point even if you have maintained in header of QP01.How will you differeciate this operation from other.
May be you can try user exit :QAPP0001
The user exit EXIT_SAPLQAPP_001 is called from module QAPP_IP_CREATE_1.
This module is run through when you go into the create, change and
display transactions for the results recordings. This is independent of
whether the inspection point data screen is called up at a later time.

  • UD at operation level

    Hi,
Is there any possibility in standard SAP for UD to be given in in-process inspection at each operation level of production?
    Please answer.

You can use the functionality Operatoin Complete.  This is available in 6.0, maybe a version earlier.  Can't remember when it came in.  You'll find the config set up under,
QM-->Quality Inspection >Resutls Recording>Make Settings for Operatoin Complete.
It will allow you to assign the selected set of UD codes to the inspection type/plant combination.
This functionality has not integrated functions in SAP at this time and is primarily information only.  But you could use user exits at various points and custom programming to check that operations are complete before performing other actions in the system.

  • Error in operation level result recording

    Hi,
I need held; result recording of inspection type =03 (operation level Quality inspection)
    A product manufacture via three operations (10, 20, 30)
All operation quality inspection active let operation no-10, all products reject and confirm as rework.
Next operation level quality record is done but confirmation not allow Reason is operation -10, rework quantity, (Actual quantity is more than planned quantity)
How to add the quantity after reworks for next operation quality inspection?
Pl helps me finding the solution.

    Hi,
As per your more clearence , As per Example  production order Quanity =1, passes 3 operation10,20,30
Operation=10 require rework as per quality ,
Operation =20 system raise the error message = Operation =10 rework .
If want to operation =10 ok Quantity =1 then system raise error messges =Actual quanity more than planned Quanitity
    ( 1 Rework + 1 Ok ) .
Supose rework order create and confirm then next 20 & 30 operation how complete .
Real scenerio :- Rework on operation =10 then again Quality check then goes to 20 operation Quality check pass / Rework if rework then again quality pass then goes to next operation level

  • Inspection point in SAP QM

    Dear  Sir
My query is related to SAP-QM
1,How to define INSPECTION POINT in Inspection planning?
2.Where is default setting of Inspection point like at Plant level & material level?
    3. If inspection point of material is changed in Tasklist and a new inspection lot is generated then it again reflect both the Inspection point (the new one & the old one).So how to aviod this problem so that it shows only the new inspection pont at the time of Result recoding.

    Hello Alpana,
question 1 How to define INSPECTION POINT in Inspection planning?
In the transaction QP01 or QP02 you can define an inspection point at header level.
This can also be done for production plans and process instructions.
The inspection point definition is done in the customizing of the Quality planning.
question 2 Where is default setting of Inspection point like at Plant level
This can be found under the customizing point Basic settings in QM.
Using the settings at plant level it is possible to define inspection points at plant level.
If you want to use the setting at material level then this would be done in the inspection plan.
question 3 If inspection point of material is changed in Tasklist and a new inspection lot is generated then it again reflect both the Inspection point?
The changing of inspection points is not possible (Inspection point definition)
The changing of inspection points in inspection plans is not recommended create a new plan in this case.
I hope that this information helps you resolve your issue.

  • In process inspection - Rejection Booking at operations level

    Hi All,
Need some help regarding inporcess inspection.
As we aware about '03' insp type is not stock relevant
The requirement is , i having operations are like 0010 ,0020 ,0030 ,0040,0050 in Production order in Routing
Now while operation wise confirmation i want to book the rejection and that needs to get effect on further operation confirmation.
For example : Suppose I have confirmed 50 TON against operation 0020 , hence at the time of confirmation 0020 i want to book the rejection 2 TON
Hence while confirming 0030 system should not allow to cofirm 50 TON , system should allow to confirm only 48 TON through CO11N and Some where that rejection has to be display in report.
Is there any provision in standard to enter rejection at operations level.
Stock posting not required , Only qty tracking required like operation wise confirmation.
Please advise to make this scenario success.
    Thanks,
    Abhishek

    Hi Abhishake,
As in inspection type 03 lot you dont have stock posting option, you can scrap the rejected material operation wise in CO11N at the time of confirmation (Mov Type 551).
As scraped material will no more in system, you can also look forward for bi-product assignment in bom if you don't want to go with first option.
Also you can check for early lot creation if can solve the purpose, as in this case you will get inspection lot of inspection type 04 at the time of release of production order and stock will be adde to quality inspection as you do confirmations operation wise.

  • Help - Web Service Operation-level (rather than end-point level) policies

    Hi Guys,
    According to the documentation:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/taskhelp/webservices/ConfigureWSPolicyFile.html
you can associate a policy at the end-point level, or the operation level.
I'm wondering if the service implements policy at the operation level, what is required from a client perspective to set SecurityPolicyFeature just for a specific operation?
Or, does one have to continually keep requesting a new port with the appropriate feature for each operation?
    e.g.
    // operation without policy
    StockMarketPortType port = service.getStockMarketPortTypePort();
    Integer stockprice = port.getStockPrice("ORCL");
// if ORCL stock price looks good ... :)
    // operation with SAML policy
    SecurityPolicyFeature securityFeatures[] =
    new SecurityPolicyFeature("oracle/wss11_saml_token_with_message_protection_client_policy")
    port = service.getStockMarketPortTypePort(securityFeatures);
    boolean result = port.sellStock("ORCL", 500);
    thanks
    Matt.

    Matt,
As Bethune mentioned, the WSS implementation that is part of WebLogic does support operation and message-level policy attachments, but Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) does not. The SecurityPolicyFeature you reference in your sample is from OWSM. Do you mind sharing any more details about your use case (and specifically why you would have different policy for different operations) that I could share with OWSM?
In the meantime, your workaround is a good one (different port instances).
    Thanks,
    Ryan

  • Inspection point qty confirmation for operation - INprocess Inspection

    Hi Experts,
After doing partial confirmation in the Result recording, the partial confirmed qty moves down to the next operation and is confirmed. But using QM result recording when I try to post the next partial qty, the system cancels the previous confirmation although the next operation has been confirmed for the partial qty. And I am able to confirm the full qty for the operation
How to avoid this situation ?
    Regds
    Jomy

    Dear Jomy,
Please use 150 as the inspection point in your routing header.
But please make sure that in configuration you have this maintained.
SPRO>QM> Quality planning > inspection planning > general > define identifier for inspection point> select the inspection point you are using >double click> function module> maintain in Automatic creation of insp. Points > maintain this function module QAPP_CUST_IP_CREATE > tick the use function module
Test with a  new order and lot.  Each time you go for RR it will go for new partial lots. So confirmation will get added up as in  co11n process.
    Hope this helps

  • Setting up inspection point in a scenario require more than one inspection

    Hi all,
Maybe I am still not very clear on the PP-QM conceptu2026 hope you can see my problem on the following questionu2026..
According to SAP in the QM-production environment, we key in ONE inspection point in the task list header level (i.e. either the master recipe, routing, or rate of routing).
Based on the following business scenario which is going to use inspection point for the inspection:
u2022     Time-based intervals (for example, an inspection point every hour or for each work shift)
u2022     Quantity-based intervals (for example, an inspection point for each container)
u2022     Freely-defined intervals (for example, an inspection point each time a tool change occurs)
Since each of the above scenarios require more than one inspection points to be created and to be assigned to the task list header.
Thus, how to accomplish multiple inspection point assignment when the task-list header only allow me to assign one inspection point at a time?
    Thanks
    YY

    Hi guys,
Thanks. However, in the SAP help portal it does said the system allows several inspection points to be assigned to an inspection operation whether it is in routing or recipe.
Therefore, does it means I can assign more than one inspection points in the operation detail level for either recipe or routing if I will to click the u201CNo relationu201D radio button in the u201CQuality Management: Inspection Pointu201D section. (i.e. is this is the right place to allows this assignment)?
For example, on the change master recipe screen at the Operation tab, I highlight one line item (i.e. one operation line item and zoom into this operation line item, I donu2019t see any field box that allow me to assign several inspection points to an operation? Instead, on the u201CQuality Management: Inspection Pointu201D section, there are the following fields appear:
    - Insp.pointCompletion dropdown box
    - 4 radio buttons on the inspection interval (ie. Time-related, Qty-related, No-relation) and its subseq time and quantity value input box.
    - Quan.pt. lot checkbox
    - Last Part Lot Assgmt checkbox
Thus, where is the section in the operation overview screen at Master Recipe or Routing level that I can assign several inspection points?
    Thanks

  • Runtime error for Inspection Point Results Recording

    Hi,
I am changing the already done Results Recording for using already used Inspection Point.
I am getting the runtime error. Anybody came across such error?
    Regards
    Ramakanth

    Hi,
In the in-process inspection I am using Inspection Points. Initially I have done Results Recording once with quantities.
And then again I wanted to change the quantities for the same Inspection Point. So, I went to Results Recording for same Inspection Point and changed the quantities and saving. At this event I am getting Runtime error.
I  have even deactivated one BADI INSPECTIONLOT_UPDATE and tried again. Even then I am getting same error.
    Ultimately my requirement is this:
My client wants UD at operation level. They want only quantity which is accepted in Results Recording to be moved to the next operation. In the operation level confirmation the system should only accept the quantity which is accepted in Results Recording.
    Any suggestion in this regard.
    Thanks

  • Mass change for QM at operation level in routing

    Dear Experts,
I have to carry out mass change for Quality Management at operation level in routing. The steps that I am carrying out for an individual record are as follows.
    1.     CA02
    2.     Inspection point 100 is maintained at header level
    3.     Go to operation level
    4.     At operation level work center and control key have been maintained
    5.     Double click on operation
    6.     When I scroll down here I go to Quality Management: Inspection Points view.
    7.     There by default in Insp.pointCompletion system shows the option as u201CQuantity, valuation (production) and radio button selected default indicates u201CQty-relatedu201D
    8.     I want to change these options as only u201CValuationu201D and u201CNo relationu201D respectively
    My queries are,
    1.     Is there any T-code available to carry out these changes in mass?
    2.     Is it possible to do this without any Z development?
I am doubtful about using LSMW here. I would be highly grateful to you if someone can help me step by step.
    Thanking you,
    Anand Rao

    Hi Sujit,
    Thanks for your reply!
I tried CWBQM. Unfortunately could not succeed. I think may not be feasible through CWBQM.
But I came across T-Code CEWB . There I opted "SAP_OPERATION" as working area and it worked. Its quite useful T-Code.
    Thanks again for your input.

  • Inspection Points for Inprocess Inspection

    Hi all,
My client is doing In process Inspection during Production process.
They are inspecting based on the Inspection Points (Shift wise).
If I add Inspection point referrence at Header level in routing, after adding the MICs in the required operation, while saving it gives an error message stating that "Maintain Inspection Point referrence at Operation level".
Task List contains error. You want to save or cancel.
How can I achieve this with out error.
    Thnx in advance
    Sam

    Hi Sam,
Go to Routing and select the operation, and double click the operation. Then system will popup the new screen here under Quality management Inspection point tab choose No relation. and save the routing.
Check and give the feed back.

  • Inspection point in SAP4.0B

    Dear QM experts,
In SAP version 4.6C, I have setup inspection point type - 'Freely defined inspection point' which I used for my quality inspection after goods receipt.
Therefore, I setup the necessary setup in the Inspection plan header and operation level.
However, in another system, SAP version 4.0B, I realize the 'Freely defined inspection point' does not exist. Instead, I tried using 'Inspection point for inspection during production' but when I update the 'Inspection point' in the Inspection Plan header, I get an error message - Inspection point Z01 (type ) is not allowed for this task list type (Q).
I can't seem to find any config. which is missing. I did the same configuration as 4.6C.
Please advice how I can use 'Freely defined inspection point' in Inspection plan in SAP 4.0B.
Advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Bee,
As i have not that much hands on SAP releases 5.0 and olders. But what i can clearly see is, there is some change implemented in the new releases that don't constraint to assign inspection point 100 to tasklist type 2.
And the check is there for object, CP_DA_TSK_CHECK and CP_DA_TSK_CHECK - checks if inspection points are allowed for given task list, that is responcible for the error message QP289. That is a wrokround done by me. You can compair the code for the check with your program and may rectify the issue.

  • Inspection point  in REM scenarion with inspection type = 13

    Hai gurus,
    I have one doubt.
Can we use inspection type = 13 ( For in process inspection in REM scenario) in inspection point
to check the QM values based on samples taken for every 2 hrs in a shift and do the result recording.
    waiting for the positive reply.
    with regards,
    sekar chand.

    Hi
Define inspection point using inspection pont type free inspection point
Assign this inspection point in the routing (CA02) at header level
Go to operation details screen at which you want to record multiple inspection and set indicators time related, specifid the time unit factor and thier unit and set the indicator Qt par lot.
Now assign MIC to the same operation
Note:- if you too use sampling procedure, you must set indicator free inspection point in the sampling procedure

  • BAPI for inspection point

    Hi,
I am trying to find BAPI through which i want to do inspection point and result recording. If anyone has done then let me know which bapi is suitable and provide what are all data's need to pass.
    Regards / US

    Hi,
Check the documentation for function BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS. That gives a pretty detailed description of all the import requirements
    Functionality
You can use this method to confirm the result of a quality inspection for an inspection operation or inspection point. The following functions are supported:
    Creating an inspection point
    Closing an inspection point
    Changing inspection point data
Recording inspection results at characteristic level (summarized)
Recording inspection results at sample level (summarized)
Recording inspection results at single value level
You define within an inspection operation whether you work with or without inspection points. In accordance with this specification, the parameter INSPPOINTDATA is required or optional.
