Inspection type 01 and physical samples

Dears
I  have scenario like this
My raw material is avtivated inspection type 01 and 15 (For physical sample)
as  GR  done inspection lost was created of 01 type and it was workin fine
now when ever vendor delivery a new item with a slight changes for existing material (So material number will not change)
So as GR done inspection lot was created, But for this inspection lot i need system treat as a physical sample (normaly creating by using QPR1)
to achive this what are the things i need to do
Pls tell me the details step with process
Pls give your in put
hope my question was cleared
Thanks
Faisal

sir,
actually i am try to do something for sample approval process
my scenario is
when ever vendor deliver any sample we need to recored it and keep a database with all inspection details
some times vendor will deliver the sample in po with zero value
so can you pls tell me how i can map this scenario

  • Lot Type 15 - Physical Samples

    Gang,
Can someone please help me. I am trying to set up a Sandbox of Vanilla SAP.
I have most of the initial configuration done, so I started messing around with the data.
I have a Material that I extended the QM view to. I added Inspection Type 15 - Physical Samples to the View. There is NO selection for Inspect with Task List....There is ONLY a selection for Inspect with Material Spec.
Can someone explain this? I want to create an Inspection Lot from a Physical Sample using transaction QPR5. But I have an Inspection plan I'd like to use.  Why can't I use Inspection Plans??
    Thanks so much

Are you sure that it isn't just greyed out?  In the system I'm looking at the "Insp. with task list" is ticked on and greyed out.  The "Insp with mat spec." is available to use if desired.
For physical samples you should be specifying a sample drawing procedure and you can only do that if you use an inspection plan.

  • Inspection types and Specifications

    Dear Experts,
I am new to QM. My scenario is, during the process, in-process inspection will be done and finally finished good will go to finished good stock. In the finished good stock everyday at random some materials will be taken up for testing. Apart from this when a customer wants a material, that material will be checked again before dispatch and often with added specifications.
    My question is-
                a) what inspection types should I maintain in QM view of material master for the random checking of finished good in finished good stock and pre-dispatch special checking for a customer ?
               b) How can the requirement of checking added specifications for some customers be addressed ?
               c) Do I have to create the inspection lots in above 2 cases manually or is it possible to automate to some extent like automatic generation of inspection lot whenever a finished good is transferred from finished good stock to say, a storage location created for stocks to be supplied against customer orders ?

    Dear Sir,
I tried as suggested by you and faced following problems.
u201CYou can take auto/mass UD for the rest of lots & inspect only those which you want to inspect Randomly__u201D
When I use 04 inspection type and do final inspection, from u201Cedit/copy inspection resultsu201D I am only able to copy inspection result lot by lot and then do usage decision. How can auto result recording (f possible) and UD for multiple lots be done at same time?
u201Cu2026or for inspection lot origin 89 design 90 inspection type as :Random lot from Production.u201D
I could not find design 90 inspection type. I found inspection type 89 and assigned it to the finished material . Then I made a process order for the material , did final inspection (through inspection type 04) and took the material in unrestricted stock. Thereafter I transfer a part of the the material to another storage location in the same plant through mb1b (movmt type 313). In the new storage location that part of the material is available under u201Cstorage location transferu201D heading but it is not coming to u201Cquality inspectionu201D under that storage location. Naturally in qa32 no inspection lot is seen. How to ensure that the material comes to quality inspection under the new storage location and inspection lot is seen in qa32 for testing?
u201CHow can the requirement of checking added specifications for some customers be addressed ?
This can be achieved by either 10 or 02 Inspection type.
A lot is generated after you carry out the outbound delivery to customer that is during dispach.u201D
I am using strategy 40and MTS (order made without refernce to sale order), so can I use inspection type 11 to get same result ?
Also, even if the lot is generated during dispatch how can I add the u201Cextrau201D specificns relevant to that customer ?
    Please suggest.

  • Physical sample and physical sample drawing relationship

    Dear all,
When an inspection lot is created in a inspection plan using sample drawing procedure to determine physical sample size, the following two objects created automatically.
    Physical Sample Drawing Number
    Physical Sample Number
The relationship between these two objects is... one physical sample drawing number can represent more than one physical sample record, am I correct?
    Thanks
    Karen

Physical Sample Drawing Number : it represents unique number for physical sample
Ex. if you sampled 100  pcs   SAP gives Numbe Number for this 100. pcs
Physical Sample Number it gives the number for bifurgation of this qty.
Ex. out of 100 pcs 20 is physical sample  20 for pooled and remaining is reserve etc.

  • Inspection type and movement type

how is the movement type related to the inspection type? i.e. when doing a UB_stock_transfer order, what movement type it uses and to what inspection type it assigns? also what other movement type uses the other inspection type?

    Hello Cedrick
first you need to maintain the view Quality Management for your material. Inspection type assignment to movement type you can see on the following customizing path: Quality Management -> Quality Inspection ->Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection for Goods Movements
    Hope this helps.

  • Automatic valuation of inspection point for physical samples.

    Hi,
My requirement is after recording results (QE11) for each and every sample,  automatic valuation of inspection point to be done.
Inspection point valuation not done automatically even though I have created the required details in inspection Plan.
I have maintained the following details  in inspection plan
    In Inspection plan header:
Inspection Point :  200 &  Sample Drawing Procedure
    In Inspection Plan Operation Details:
Insp.Point Completion: Automatic valuation based on inspection point definition.
Is there any settings to be done in customiszation.
Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    V.Devaraj

    Hello Sap-Guys.
I am facing the same problem, and I did several workarounds, to evalueate the inspection point by myself.
    The problem is this :
We are using RFC-techniques to evaluate samples.
Shortly, there is an inspection , which is defined, to be per point, consisting of two user fields, date and time. There must be three things (characteristics )controlled, two manually, by the workers, and the third will be calculated internally by sap via formula.
The rfc-possibilities are provided by myself, building a rfc-enabled z-module, which calls some SAP-BAPIS, from which one is called
    BAPI_INSPOPER_RECORDRESULTS
Until now I do not think, it behaves like tha sap-gui.
Am I doing something wrong, or does this module really not behave like the sap gui ???
If I evaluate the very first char , I check, whether this is the only one for this actual inspection point.
If so, I delete the code groups, if any, (only quantitative evaluation til now ) and the point stays grey, ok, because there are still two other char-evaluations missing.
If my char to evaluate is not the first, then I check, which are stil left, AND , if there are any left without evaluation, I also erase code and codegroups ( if any ) in the insppoint structure, so the char gets its evaluation and the point still stays grey.
But if there had been already any evaluations, I manually check , whether my actual value meets the tolerances, and then I manually tell the inspection-point structure, which code must be used, in order to set its own state correctly.
This means, if my actual sample meets the tolerances, and only one sample was rejected , I tell the inspection point, to stay red, by setting the approoriate code manually from qplak.
If all others were ok, but the actual evaluation ( calculated manually again, tolerances ... ) is not ok, then i tell the inspection point structure, to get "red".
I do this every time, a evaluation takes place, and it works nice for simple values.
And here is my big Problem :
My last characteristic of the three to be evaluated, must not be evaluated by the workers, but BY calculation inside sap, BECAUSE IT HAS A FORMULA.
Especially for this case I left a comment in my code, and now this case occurred.
So, what could be a better approach , to use this bapi, AND trigger automatic inspectionpoint evaluation WITHOUT MY ENTIRE WORKAROUND ( where I now see, that it cannot deal with formulas ) ???
( It could, if I debugged deep enough, to check, how it builds the formula ) , but bapis are there to use them.
    Aren`t they???
Could anybody give me a hint ?
    Thx and best regards

  • Inspection Type and Inspection Setup

i want to check whether the inspection setup is active or not..and also whether inspection type is active or not.. if it is active than for which inspection type it is active...
    for all my plants
please can any one tell me the solution
    thanks in advance
    Edited by: ravi@mm on Mar 2, 2012 7:25 AM

TQ30 table is the configuration table for the inspection types.  It will not show material level data.
Use SE16 and look at the QMAT table.
You can use SQVI to generate a report from this table if needed on a regular basis.
If there is a check in field QMAT-AKTIV the inspection it active.

  • Change Inspection typ and keep inspection stage of dynamic modification

    Hello,
Our QC departement splitted into 2 departments and each got their own materials to check.
Now both material groups will get a different inspection typ B and C instead of the old insp Typ A.
We use dynamic modification rules and all materials have their inspection stages based on vendor and insp. typ. There is only 1 plant.
When I assign a new insp. typ B or C to a material the next inspection lot of course will generate a new record in QDQL starting with the lowest insp. stage. But I need the last stage of the old insp typ A!
Copies of records A to B and C in QDQL are not so easy because vendor and inspTyp are not part of the key and SAP uses a counter instead.
Any ideas how to get the old insp. stages to the new insp types in the quality level?
    br Gerold

Well, then youmight consider to rethink if this approach is the best option, as you can see that it limits your way of modifying your processes. If one time you have ten different departments you would need ten different inspection types...for one inspection lot origin. This then would even increase if we think of different lot origins (returns, recurring inspection, ....).

  • Movement types and physical inventory posting

    HI Expert,
All inventory differences are currently booked using SAP-movement types (MVT) 291 and 292.
Inventory differences have to be booked via the correct movement types in order to increase transparency to better analyze real consumption vs. lost inventories
For inventory differences during a physical inventory use MVT 701/702 and for inventory differences other than after a physical inventory use MVT 711/712. Currently these movement types are blocked for use in our company. So it needs to be implemented soon.So
1.I want to know if this action can be implemented.
2.Could you tell me what's the difference between the MVT291/292 and 701/702/711/712.
    Thanks

.Could you tell me what's the difference between the MVT291/292 and 701/702/711/712.
291 na s292  are the movements type when in u can issues material to any of the account assignment manually like cost center , project wbs, network, sales order etc.
701/702 and the correct physical inventory movement type this are trigred only when u do proper physical inventor process in SAP for storage location which is not managed with warehouse management
711/712 and the correct physical inventory movement type this are trigred only when u do proper physical inventor process in SAP for storage location are managed by warehouse management.
U will have to remove the bloked movement type 701/702 to use Physical inventory process

  • Inspection of physical samples

    Hi,
I am trying to set up quality inspection of physical samples for a plant. Until now we don't use SAP QM for inspection in production really (neither inspection lot origin 03, nor 04) but that might change in near future. Nevertheless, we would like to start with inspection of physical samples.
As far as I understand the SAP Help files there are "two" different inspection lots for which I can enter values. First, the lot from which a physical sample drawing was created by the system when I create the lot (in my case insp. lot origin 89 and inspection points for physical samples in inspection plan) and, second, the inspection lots I can create from the physical sample via QPR2 or QPR5 (in my case insp. lot origin 15). Although it's one step more for the users to create an inspection lot for each physical sample, I prefer the second option because a physical sample can be reworked in our plant if the results recorded are not acceptable and results have to be recorded again after rework. If I choose the second option I have an inspection lot (origin 89) I can use later on for results recording during production. The fact that irritates me is that's a lot with inspections points of type "physical sample" that I do not need necessarily in all operations.
Why are there two lots in which results to physical samples can be recorded?
Do you agree with my solution or are there other more reasonable ways?
    Cheers
    Marcus.

  • What is the Relation between Inspection Lot, Physical Sample .....

    Hi All,
I want to know the unique relation between Inpection Lot Number, Physical sample Number, Material Number and Warehouse Number(from LQUA ).
I have Inspection Lot Number and Physical Sample Number on my selection screen.
Based on this I have to fetch the details from LQUA.
I got combination of Lot and sample from the View QAPP_QALS. There is material also in it.
But I am not understanding how to get the details from LQUA.
    Thanks,

    Hi Bhupal,
Just a suggestion, you might consider moving your qns to MM forum, Mr. Jurgen should be able to provide the exact inputs your looking for.

  • Lot creation with physical sample

    Hi all,
Inspection lots with physical sample not getting created.Error message "Origin 15 not defined" pops up constantly with all materials. The settings in SPRO are maintained:
    LO:15
    Origin:15
    Variant :01
    Inspection type:15
Settings in material master: Activated inspection type '15'
No lots with physical samples exist for the material.
    Regards
    Binesh

I just want to check that you are using the inspection type 15 correctly.  That is used to create inspection lots (usually manually), for already exisitng physical samples in your inventory.  I.e. usuaully this is used to recheck an old sample after a customer complaint or to check shelf life or stability sample.
So the the physical samples have to be created first.  Do you have physical samples created?
You can manually create them but they are usually automatically created via the 01 and 04 lots that use a physical sample-drawing procedure and approporate inspection plans.

  • Physical samples or reserve sampples

    Dear All,
My requirement is that for a material when a inspection lot generated sample size should be 10 and pysical samples to be created as 50 and this samples are stored for future use till exipry for example if a market complaint comes for this batch then they will analyse this physical/reserve samples. Now when the UD is done for the inspection lot these two should be substracted from inspection lot qty means suppose inspection lot qty is 100 then UD to be done for 1000-(10+50) = 940.
Now I know sample size can be configured with sampling procedure with fixed sample size as 10. But how to configue this physical samples qty. kindly guide me how to map this. is this can be mapped through sample drawing procedure ?
then kindly tell me how to do.
    thanks
    vinamrath

    Hi Kumar,
Yes, you have already answered ur question in the end.
It can be easily met by SDP (Sample Drawing Procedure)
Create one SDP (T code QPV2), in SDP there is be sample type "3" for Reserved Samples. Got to that Tab and assign the sample size 50 here.
Assign ur SDP to ur inspection plan (QP01/QP02) Here you need to assign the inspection point 200 - physical sample.
Then rest you know, assign sampling procedure at MIC level defined the sample size 10 to it.
Try with fresh inspection lot. You will meet the requirement.

  • Inspection type 09 process

    Hi gurus,
Could any one let me know the steps for using inspection type 09.
    Regards,
    Deven

    Hi,
Pls. find the necessary details for Inspection type 09 ( Recurring Inspection of Batches) as following:
    Recurring Inspections for Batch Materials
    Purpose
The system can automatically create inspection lots at predefined intervals for selected batch materials. You can plan such inspections by having the system monitor the date for a recurring inspection.
Recurring inspections are triggered by a report that you can execute manually or that the system can execute automatically (provided it has been planned as a background job). When recurring inspections are triggered automatically, the background job executes the report, which in turn selects the batches and creates the inspection lots according to your processing parameters.
The report does not consider, for example, storage locations with HU requirement. This means that the report cannot be used to generate inspection lots for storage locations that require HUs. Therefore, recurring inspections are not possible.
Instead, the Business Add-In (BAdI) implementation BIC_REC_INSPECTION is available via the Batch Information Cockpit for the BAdI BIC_FOLLOW_UP_ACTION. This BAdI implementation allows you to open recurring inspection lots.
    Prerequisites
The system creates inspection lots automatically for recurring inspections if the following conditions have been met:
    ·        Each material to be inspected is defined as a batch material in the material master record.
    ·        An inspection interval is specified in the Quality Management view of the material master record.
    ·        An inspection type is active for inspection lot origin 09 in the inspection settings of the material master record.
    ·        The inspection settings in the material master record specify an inspection using a task list or material specification (if you want to record results for inspection characteristics).
A Next inspection date is specified for the batch in the batch master.
If you intend to trigger a recurring inspection manually, you have defined your parameters for the recurring inspection in the corresponding report.
To trigger a recurring inspection automatically, you have:
¡        Defined your parameters in the report program for a recurring inspection
¡        Saved the report as a variant
¡        Planned the variant as a background job
    Process Flow...
           1.      A recurring inspection is triggered:
¡        Automatically by the system via a background job
¡        Manually by the user under Logistics ® Quality Management ® Quality Inspection ® Worklist ® Inspection Lot Creation ® Deadline Monitoring ® Trigger Manually
           2.      The system selects the batches that meet the selection criteria.
           3.      The system processes the selected batches on the basis of your parameter settings in the report as follows:
    Set Indicator
    What you should know
    Only lot creation
The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches when the next inspection date is within the opening period.
In a second run, the stocks are posted to inspection stock or the batches are blocked when the next inspection date is reached. This two-step process permits you to keep the stocks available as long as possible, while allowing you to begin the inspection.
To insp. stock at lot creation
The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches when the next inspection date is within the opening period. When the inspection lots are created, it posts the batch stock to inspection stock. If an inspection lot already exists, the stocks are also posted to inspection stock and the inspection lot is updated accordingly.
    Block batch at lot creation
The system creates inspection lots for the selected batches and blocks the batches by changing their status to "restricted." If the batch status management function is not active, the stock is posted to blocked stock.
To insp. stock at inspection date
The system posts the batch stock to inspection stock when the next inspection date is reached. If an inspection lot already exists, the system updates the existing inspection lot. If a lot does not exist, the system creates one.
    Block batch at inspection date
The system blocks the batch when the next inspection date is reached. If the batch status management function is not active in your plant, the stock is posted to blocked stock.
           4.      When the system creates the inspection lots, it also carries out the following activities:
                                a.      It assigns an inspection specification to the inspection lot.
                                b.      It creates or updates the quality level for the material (if applicable).
                                c.      It calculates the sample size.
                                d.      It prints out the inspection instruction and/or sampling-drawing instruction
    Hope this helps.
    Reward if useful.

  • Creaion of Physical sample

    Hi,
Can any tell me how can i create physical sample manually with referrence to a inspection lot?
If i want to create physical sample against both 03 and 04 inspection lots for the same process order then how to do ?
    Regards
    Sandip

Actually we are going to use inspection point 150-time dependent since we have multiple result recording against same inspection lot based on certain time interval.
could you please tell me how can i handle time dependency and physical sample in one inspection point?
we want to just create diff. physical samples for diff. inspectionlots to use label print functionality.
