Dear
1.I am not able to assign QM order QL01 by t code QK01 to my finished product to which in material master is activated for inspection type 03
in material master's inspection set up data QM order text box is missing
Pls help me to solve this issue
2.For a single material is it possible to assign different order type for example QL01 for Appraisal cost and QN01 for Non confirmation cost
Thnks in advance

1.I am not able to assign QM order QL01 by t code QK01 to my finished product to which in material master is activated for inspection type 03
>In SAP standard the activities for the inspection type '03' are allocated into production order.
>Therefore you cannot assign any QM order to inspection type '03'.
2.For a single material is it possible to assign different order type for example QL01 for Appraisal cost and QN01 for Non confirmation cost
>You don't need to assign the order type 'QN01' into material master.
>The order 'QN01' is assigned to a quality notificaion manually or by configuration.
>QCC0 > Quality Notifications > Notification Processing > Define Costing Parameters > Account Assignment for QM Orders
>Also check SAP help portal.

  • Inspection type 03 and 04

    hello Experts
I want to use inspection type 03 and 04 for produced materials. 03 for in-process inspection and 04 for Goods receipt inspection.
My Question is , do I need to use Preferred inspection type  indicator in QM view. Is there an issue if I do not use that indicator.
For insp type 03 lot should be created at order release and for 04 lot should be created at receiving the order.
    Many Thanks.

    Hi
    Gaurav
No Actually you nedd not to select the preffered Inspection type Indicator in QM view.....
Reason is as you said 03 is inprocess Inspection--->lot is created when production order is released.
this lot is not stock relevent.(no stock posting tab in QA11/QA32)
Now 04 is Production order-->lot is created when production order is confirmed.
    this lot is stock relevent.
So both are created at different stages so need not to worry.
I hope i have made you understand in simple language.

  • Assign MIC in inspection type 03 and 04

    Dear all
Plz tell me whether i m correct

for 03 i have assign MIC in routing (N).its working well, but for 04 i have assigned quality inspection plan(Q) is it wright practice or shall i assign MIC in routing for 04 also.
    Regard
    Nirmala

    Dear Nirmala
It is the sap process . For 03 inspection you need to assign MICs in routing but while inspection 04 MICs need to aasigned in inspection plan . You cannot mics for 04 in routing

  • Inspection type - 04 and 03

    Hi.
For a material produced in house I have maintained inspection type 03 (inprocess) and 04 (GR inspection).
The MICs for In process inspection maintained them in Master Recipe and MICs for GR inspection maintained them in inspection plans. But when a process order is released only one inspection lot is getting generated i.e for only in process quality inspection and other inspection lot i.e. for goods receipt inspection is not getting generated.
Any idea what may be the problem. How do I rectify it?
    Regards,
    Pavan

The system is behaving as it should.
The 04 lot is not normally created until the production people have done a GR against the order.  That is when you will see the 04 lot get created. Not before.
In the 04 inspection type setup there is field called cntrl insp. lot.  In this field you can choose "Early lot creation".  in this case then the 04 lot will also be created when the order is released.  Just like the 03.  Using this can however can impact how additonal receipts against the order are handled.  The time the UD is made on the 04 can also impact this.
So I woudl suggest thorough testing on using early lot creation versus not using it.

  • Inspection type in OPL8 (order type dependent parameters)

    HI,
Inspection type we are giving in material master in inspection type field, why we need inspection type field in OPL8 transaction. Is there any specific reason the field having in OPL8. Please advise me if any one knows the reason.
    Srini

    Hi,
Lets see it with the help of an example.
Lets say there is a material - X, which is supplied to two customers - A & B.
Customer A requires a quality certificate, while the customer B does not need any Quality Certificate or Quality Control. In such case, you can not assign the inspection type at material level.
Here, in this case, you would have 2 order types, one with Inspection Type assigned and the other order type without any Inspection type to meet such requirements. And that looks more practical in terms of monitoring the specific orders, costs incurred for specific order etc.
    Revert for more clarifications.

    Rohit.

  • Inspection types and Specifications

    Dear Experts,
I am new to QM. My scenario is, during the process, in-process inspection will be done and finally finished good will go to finished good stock. In the finished good stock everyday at random some materials will be taken up for testing. Apart from this when a customer wants a material, that material will be checked again before dispatch and often with added specifications.
    My question is-
                a) what inspection types should I maintain in QM view of material master for the random checking of finished good in finished good stock and pre-dispatch special checking for a customer ?
               b) How can the requirement of checking added specifications for some customers be addressed ?
               c) Do I have to create the inspection lots in above 2 cases manually or is it possible to automate to some extent like automatic generation of inspection lot whenever a finished good is transferred from finished good stock to say, a storage location created for stocks to be supplied against customer orders ?
    Regards,

    Dear Sir,
I tried as suggested by you and faced following problems.
u201CYou can take auto/mass UD for the rest of lots & inspect only those which you want to inspect Randomly__u201D
When I use 04 inspection type and do final inspection, from u201Cedit/copy inspection resultsu201D I am only able to copy inspection result lot by lot and then do usage decision. How can auto result recording (f possible) and UD for multiple lots be done at same time?
u201Cu2026or for inspection lot origin 89 design 90 inspection type as :Random lot from Production.u201D
I could not find design 90 inspection type. I found inspection type 89 and assigned it to the finished material . Then I made a process order for the material , did final inspection (through inspection type 04) and took the material in unrestricted stock. Thereafter I transfer a part of the the material to another storage location in the same plant through mb1b (movmt type 313). In the new storage location that part of the material is available under u201Cstorage location transferu201D heading but it is not coming to u201Cquality inspectionu201D under that storage location. Naturally in qa32 no inspection lot is seen. How to ensure that the material comes to quality inspection under the new storage location and inspection lot is seen in qa32 for testing?
u201CHow can the requirement of checking added specifications for some customers be addressed ?
This can be achieved by either 10 or 02 Inspection type.
A lot is generated after you carry out the outbound delivery to customer that is during dispach.u201D
I am using strategy 40and MTS (order made without refernce to sale order), so can I use inspection type 11 to get same result ?
Also, even if the lot is generated during dispatch how can I add the u201Cextrau201D specificns relevant to that customer ?
    Please suggest.

  • Configure another Inspection Type for Production Order

    Hi QM Gurus,
I have one scenario, my client wants to have another inspection type for inspection lot origin goods receipt from production because they have this requirement that for some materials they need to have a status profile that will be active for inspection type standard 04. And there are also some materials from goods receipt from production that does not need status profile. Since the only thing that we could assign as specific status profile is to its inspection type. Hence, i need to create another inspection type for lot origin goods receipt from production aside from inspection type 04 that will create automatic inspection lots with different status profiles.I try this in configuration but no inspection lots has been made for new inspection type assigned to LOt origin 04 and also assigned in the material master inspection set-up. How will i do this???
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Matildo, Edsel
    QM Consultant

    Hello Edsel,
you can configure for example an inspection type 0401 and activate this inspection type for the inspection origin 04 in customizing. Please look at the following customizing items:
    Transaction QCC3
    -> Inspection Lot Creation
    - Maintain Inspection Types
    - Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types
By activating the correspondent inspection type in the material master you can decide which inspection type is used. If you need both then you could think about using the exit QAAT0001 to assign the correspondent inspection type.

  • Change Inspection typ and keep inspection stage of dynamic modification

    Hello,
Our QC departement splitted into 2 departments and each got their own materials to check.
Now both material groups will get a different inspection typ B and C instead of the old insp Typ A.
We use dynamic modification rules and all materials have their inspection stages based on vendor and insp. typ. There is only 1 plant.
When I assign a new insp. typ B or C to a material the next inspection lot of course will generate a new record in QDQL starting with the lowest insp. stage. But I need the last stage of the old insp typ A!
Copies of records A to B and C in QDQL are not so easy because vendor and inspTyp are not part of the key and SAP uses a counter instead.
Any ideas how to get the old insp. stages to the new insp types in the quality level?
    br Gerold

Well, then youmight consider to rethink if this approach is the best option, as you can see that it limits your way of modifying your processes. If one time you have ten different departments you would need ten different inspection types...for one inspection lot origin. This then would even increase if we think of different lot origins (returns, recurring inspection, ....).

  • Goods Receipt generates inspection lot using inspection type 08

    Hi,
I have two plants A and B. I have set up my materials with an 08 inspection type plant B. Material transfers from plant A and B generate an inspection lot using inspection type 08 and inspection lot origin 08. This works perfectly.
However if I use a stock transfer between two storage locations within 1 plant, using stock transfer order, inspection lot is generated using inspection type 08 when GR is performed.
Is there a link between 08 inspection type and 101 movement
    Regards

Yes ,101 & 08 are associated with each other for stock transfer order that is only when receipt indicator is "X" and mvt indicator is prchase order.
If you do not want this to haapen then
copy mvt type 101 as Z01 & for this mvt type deactivate QM in
    QCC3->inspection lot creation->Inspect for goods mvt->Deactivate Quality Inspection for a Movement Type>Z01-->deactivate
Use this mvt type when you are tranferring material from storage location to storage Location.
This will not create any inspection lot.

  • Inspection lot for inspection type 08

    Hi Eperts,
    Please tell me following:
Inspection lot does not create when transfer material from plant to plant.
Created STO PO in plant 1000. Issueing plant is 2000.
MMR maintained in both plant with inspection type 01,08 activated in both plant.
As per me system should create inspection lot after GRN takes place against STO PO in plant 1000.
    What could be problem.
    Regards,
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
In your previous posts you referred to performing a 101 movement to try get an inspection lot of type 08, this is incorrect.
For movement type 101 you need to activate inspection type 01 and place a block on the q-info record against the vendor in order to get an inspection lot of type 01.
In your scenario, you are wanting an inspection lot of type 08. This is an internal stock movement and wont work with a 101 movement as this is for incoming stock. You should activate inspection type 08 on the material master and use a movement type such as the 322 to move stock to quality inspection. This will create an automatic inspection lot of type 08 as long as you have set QM not active = '  ' for mvt type 322 under SPRO -> Quality Management -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Inspection for goods movements -> deactivate quality inspection for a movement type.

I think this explanation is quit fare to understand.
Inspection type 08 you can use for the stock transfer good movement ony, it can be inter plant, material,
While activate QM for inspection type 05 & activate QM for some other movement type, that are not part of Purchase Order,Stock transfer etc i.e. miscellaneous GR.
Else the best way is prepare test data and check yourself.

  • Inspection Specifications from configuration for inspection type 10

    Hi All,
We need the inspection specifications for inspection type 10 (Insp. for delivery to cust. (w/ order)) from the characterstic values of the Sales Order Configuration. We have done this successfully for inspection types 03 and 04.
In configuration the checkbox of "Insp. according to configuration" is not available.
Kindly suggest how to do this. We urgently need the solution.
    Regards
    Ramakanth

Inspection accrd. to configuration is not possible with inspection type 10/11. If you are batch managed and you maintain the same char. specifications in batch determination, you can explore the option inspection by batch option available for insp.type 10, which will get the spec. from the batch.search strategy maintained for the customer.
As of now I dont know how you can do if the above option does not work .
    Thanks,

  • Quality view, inspection type fiels to be determined in the table of mtrl

    Hello Experts,
in my project i have more then 80000 material loaded in the system, and my client wants a report on all the spares and engineering material for which particular inspection type not maintained.
say X is the inspection type in and it is not maintained in N no of materials, hence i want the list from list i have tried to check in MARA table with PSTAT field, there i can found out which all material have quality view active, but how to find out 1 particular field in the view is what my requirement is.
i even checked table TQ30T, but cld not find any thin in tat, also tried SQVI, but no success.
    please help.
    thanks and regards,
    YK

    Hello,
    Check table MARC.
If MARC - QMATV field = 'X', then some inspection setup is maintained for this material. So you can put exclude condition and find the materials without inspection setup.
    Or,
You can check table QMAT where Inspection type - material - plant data can be found.
Here you get only those materials for which the data is maintained.
