Inspector is missing

When opened motion I noticed that my library, inspector and file browser windows are not there. I clicked on the icon in the top right of my screen that should bring them up but nothing happens. I have searched every short cut to find how to bring them up but nothing.
Hopefully this makes sense to someone,
and i did try this,
i found on the forum
If you find that your Utility Pane (the window that contains the File Browser, Library, and Inspector) is gone and you can’t get it back, trashing your preferences file is sure to bring it back.
To do so:
1) Quit Motion.
2) Navigate to User/Library/Preferences
3) Locate com.apple.motion.plist and delete it
Restart Motion, and you should be back in business.
but i cannot find this file i think i deleted some time ago then i have the problen be for
Thanks Lee

After quitting Motion...
1. Hit Shift-Command-H
2. Click on Library folder
3. Click on Preferences folder
4. Find 'com.apple.motion.plist' (list should be alphabetical so it shouldn't be hard to find) and drag to trash
5. Restart Motion - everything should be fine now

  • The Property Inspector is missing the V Space and H Space fields in DW6 - where did they go?

    I just downloaded DW6.  The Property Inspector is missing the V Space and H Space fields, therefore I am unable to add space around my images.  Suggestions?

    It is no longer available because the problem with that was that it applied spaces around the image rather than where the user actually wanted them.  You now need to use CSS and apply margins and paddings and target exactly where you want them by using something like this:
    img {
        margin-bottom: 0;
        margin-right: 0;
        margin-left: 0;
        margin-top: 0;
        padding-top: 0;
        padding-right: 0;
        padding-bottom: 0;
        padding-left: 0;
    img {
         border: 0;
         padding: 0;
    The second style is generic to set margin and padding for all four sides.
    Good luck.

  • Inspector Window MISSING

    Motion 3 upgrade has stopped displaying the Inspector Window. I have re-installed and updated the software to 3.02 3 times now, no improvement. Any suggestions?

  • Inspector tool missing

    I'm not to sure what happened, but somehow the Inspector tool in iWeb has gone missing on my computer. I click on the Inspector icon and nothing happens. If I go under View Menu and click "show inspector" nothing happens, although when I do this, the option to "hide inspector" comes up on the View Menu.
    The other tools work (e.g. Media, colors, fonts, etc.) just fine.
    Any ideas on what's happened here? The program is pretty useless without the inspector tool.
    Thanks!

    i have that problem sometimes. it happens that the inspector moves out of the window. you need to delete the following file (search using spotlight):

  • Dumb Q on Properties Inspector and missing Font tools

    I just upgraded to DW CS5.  In the Properties Inspector I somehow clicked off some options and can now no longer see font alignment or options like Bold or Italics.  Now I have to access it via the FORMAT option at the top.  I know this has to be simple but I have searched the web and cannot find the answer!!  I do have HTML clicked in the Properties Inspector.
    Thanks,
    Gary

    What I dont get is Left Align, Right Align, Center Justify.  I used to get that until I clicked all of the windows at the bottom off and now can't get it back.
    Read my reply again:
    When CSS is selected, you get CSS options, which include bold, italic,
    and alignment. However, it's important to note that using these options
    forces you to create a style rule. In CS5, you cannot use HTML
    attributes for alignment, except by editing Code view or using the Tag
    Inspector panel.
    Left Align, Right Align, Center, and Justify are now options in the Property inspector when the CSS button is selected. However, as I wrote before, these options no longer insert the HTML align attributes. To do that, you need to use Code view or the Tag Inspector (Window > Tag Inspector).
    Dreamweaver CS5 uses CSS for alignment. You need to learn to use CSS if you want to use the Property inspector for text alignment. Why? Because CSS is now considered the standard way of doing it.

  • Component Inspector Parameters Missing

    When I launch the Component Inspector for a Multiple Choice
    Interaction, there are no parameters listed under the Parameter
    tab. I am used to MX2004, where there was a table and I could fill
    in all my values for questions, answers, etc. But now I'm in Flash
    8 and that grid isn't there. When I click on the Parameter tab for
    a Component Inspector it is a blank slate. Can anyone help? I'm
    guessing there is some trick for me to see the fields that I could
    so easily fill in with MX2004?
    Thanks,
    Lauren

    Thanks. I expected such answer. But didn't expect Adobe made it silent. I hoped they at least explained something. And what component inspector panel does now? Nothing? Why then Adobe left it...   I remember good times with Macromedia...

  • Inspector Gone Missing

    No idea why this has happened all of a sudden, but I can't get the Inspector to appear anymore. I've repeatedly trashed my plist files, but still no luck. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

    What's the "Show/Hide" status of the Inspector under the "View" menu? If it is in the "Show" mode (i.e., "Hide" option is available), then have you possibly made any recent changes to your monitor resolution or moved the Inspector to out of the currently defined screen area (e.g., possibly moved it to a secondary monitor which is now disconnected)?

  • Imovie inspector tab missing speed option.

    I am trying to speed up almost an hour of footage in imovie.  It was uploaded in 5 seperate files and I am trying to speed up each individual one to the same rate.  When I select the file, with the yellow around it and I click V or go to the video inspector tab I do not have a speed adjustment function. What is my solution, thanks!

    My computer was purchased in the summer of 2012 so I am not sure which year I have but it shoudl be realatively updated.

    Is the clip you're trying to speed up in a Project?
    You cannot adjust the speed in an Event. The clip must first be padded to a project.

  • Missing icons/buttons in Property Inspector

    In my DW CS5 the icons under the panel menu in Property Inspector are missing when it´s docked, see the left image below. It doesn´t matter if the DW- window is maximized or not. But when I make the panel floatin the icons are there. I wonder if someone knows if this is a bug or what? It´s possible to hide/show the part of PI with more alternatives by double-clicking. But I prefer to use the white expander arrow as I´ve done in previous versions...
    Does anyone have a clue?

    Because those icons are located a fixed distance from the left of the Property Inspector, they only show when the tool panels that sit at the side of the Document Window (at least in my setup) are minimized, or when the PI is floating, as you mention.
    I suggest you file a bug/feature report here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform, as the 'expand' arrow is definitely not available when it is hidden (perforce), and many times the Tool Panels will not be minimized and will hide the expand arrow.

  • Motion Inspector Not showing

    I have been using motion and suddenly today when I opened it up my whole layout changed for no reason, I tried loading my saved layout but my library and inspector are missing. I have tried going through all the options within Preferences and windows tabs but the only thing that works is create locked inspector, which cuts it off in the middle at the bottom of the screen. After selecting the inspector through the window function It does not become checked? ***?!? any help or suggestions out there?

    In addition I have used since the upgrade and there is also no com.apple.motion.plist in my preferences folder using motion 3.02

  • How to remove a keyword in Aperture 3

    I've been testing Aperture 3 now for a few hours. First impression is that it's great! Faster than Aperture 2 and raw support for LX3.
    In the Metadata inspector I miss the keywords-list, which in Aperture 2 used to be at the bottom of the Metadata tab. That place is occupied now by Map. I used the keywords-list to remove keywords from an image. In the Aperture 2 manual I read that removing keywords should be done now by deleting it from the keywords textbox, which is not very easy. But, in my case, it does not work!
    Where has the keywords list gone?
    How do I remove a keyword from an image?
    Greetz, Koen

    Piece of cake (Aperture is -- like most programs -- very good at batch processing).
    Select all the images which have the wrong keyword. Remove it from all of them (use whatever method you like). All the images are still selected. Add the new keyword (use whatever method you like).
    Databases are tremendously powerful at ... manipulating data. In all cases they follow the now-standard "Noun, Verb" syntax: first select what you want to act on, then specify the action.
    There are four separate specific sections in the User Manual detailing applying keywords:
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/usermanual/index.html#chapter=10%26se ction=0
    And one specific section on removing them:

    I'm missing several font families from the properties character font family inspector in my Flash CS5 ide on os x. These fonts are present in my font dir and are available in all my other CS5 suite applications (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, AfterEffects, etc).

  • Secunia Software Inspector Reporting Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 Missing

    After deploying Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 to all of our managed computers, I ran a vulnerability scan using Secunia Software Inspector (http://secunia.com/software_inspector) and it is reporting that Adobe Reader is insecure (it is version 8.1.0.137) and references Secunia advisory SA30832 (http://secunia.com/SA30832). Specifically it reports that C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe is version 8.1.0.137, which it is. However, running Adobe Reader and selecting Help \ About Adobe Reader 8... from the menu reports that Adobe Reader is version 8.1.2. And selecting Help \ Check for Updates... from the menu reports "There are no updates available at this time." Shavlik NetChk also does not report Adobe Reader 8.1.2 Security Update 1 as missing.
    The security bulleting from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb08-15.html) does not contain sufficient information to know if the security update has been correctly applied (there is no manifest of files with versions and dates to check).
    It appears to me that the file C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe is not sufficient to determine the version of the installed Adobe Reader, that the update to Adobe Reader 8.1.2 does not update the version of this file, and that Adobe Security Update 1 does not update this file. Therefore, I suspect that Secunia Software Inspector is incorrectly reporting that Adobe Reader is vulnerable. However, without details from Adobe about what file are updated and what versions they should be, I cannot be sure.
    How can I be sure that Adobe Reader is not vulnerable (it is fully up-to-date)?

    July 9 2008 When I run secunia inspector I am still getting a message that I have an earlier version of Adobe Reader installed though I have 8.1.2 including the security update for 8.1.2 installed. Here is what I get:
    (quote)
    This installation of Adobe Reader 8.x is insecure and potentially exposes your system to security threats!
    The detected version installed on your system is 8.1.0.137, however, the latest secure version released by the vendor, fixing one or more vulnerabilities, is 8.1.2.215.
    Update Instructions:
    Update to Adobe Reader 8.1.2.215 and apply Security Update 1.

    Why is this?

  • Cs4 "link" box is missing in prop inspector

    Is it me, or in DW CS4 is the box in the property inspector
    where you could either a) type in a link, and/or b) the icon to
    drag to file is missing? I'm using the Windows version.

    Make sure you have clicked on the HTML button on the upper,
    left-hand corner
    of the Property inspector.
