Inspiration Browser no internet warning in win 7 64 bit PSE 10

Installed Photoshop Elements 10 bundle on a win 7 64 bit system, registered software.
Everything seems to work except Inspiration Browser. when loading through Elements a window pop up stating " Warning no network available please check your connection"
I have an internet connecton and it's not being block by firewall.

Uninstalling through Windows 7 Programs manager in the control panell then reinstalling worked great and I now have access to all the help videos etc.

Please tell me that it has NEVER been jailbroke. If it has not been jailbroke, here are some standard repair procedures:
First, confirm that this is what you did for a "reset." Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore (or it doesn't help), go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, since you have IOS-7, read this.

Can't install inspiration browser..

i cannot install the inspiration browser. it constantly saysin a small adobe air generated dialogue box "a download error occurred". i have the latest adobe photoshop elements 10 and adobe air. i am using google chrome browser as well...please help...

I had the same problem: Forst uninstalled the old inspiration brower version from the PC as instructed and then clicks the new browser download, and encountered the error message. It was quite frustrating. It turned out that I was using the FireFox internet browser (causing the erroer message.) When I copied the installation and launched in the IE, it came through. Once down loaded the exe file, it can be installed with no problem.

you know i was trying to look at the tutorals on element 9 and it kept coming up that your inspiration browser is not installed would you like to install it now and when i click yes it went online and opened a page for me to click "install" and then it give the whole thing about the adobe air and i still proceeded and it stopped and said that an error accured, i found this and i even clicked on the link above and followed the steps and it still wouldn't install. getting irritated about it, uninstalled it and reinstaled numerous time and still did not work. now i just got the up grade to element 10 and also hoping that would fix the problem i am having with this stupid browser, and yep, still having a problem and then i tried one last thing before giving up, well this whole time i use google chrome and i even tried firefox and they would not download that program so one last try i used internet explorer and it downloaded with no problem. so that's my experience with so if you didn't use IE to download it, try that.

PSE 10 - Inspiration Browser for UK

I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements for the first time, I am in the UK and have installed PSE 10 fine. I recently downloaded the Photoshop Inspiration Browser and that installed ok and created a shortcut on my Desktop. If I launch the Inspiration Browser from the Desktop link, I get a Warning advising it is best to open from within PSE. However I do not have a link to the Inspiration Browser in the Help menu.
Can anyone help me getting this link into PSE 10?

Premier 10: How to install Inspiration Browser?

I took Premier and Photoshop Elements off my computer and installed version 10 of both from a CD combo kit.
When I launch Premier Elements, the Organizer loads. One choice is the "Launch Inspiration Browser" button. When I click on it a screen pops up saying Inspriation Browser is not installed and would I like to intall it. Clicking "Yes" sends me to download box in my internet browser at www.goodaps.com. Pushing the "Install Now" button and running the program yelds: "This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
It is also odd that when I launch Photoshop Elements, I can run Inspriration Browser. So, I know it is installed. For some reason the Premier path doesn't work.
Clues, hints or suggestions?

How to use your Treo 750 to browse the internet on your mac

Hi There,
I am by no means an expert on this, but this is what has worked for me. I'm on Vodafone in New Zealand but I think this setup (or very similar) should work with Cingular in the states or other Windows Mobile v5 devices.
1. Install The Windows Mobile Modem Scripts Onto Your Mac
Download the Generic Windows Mobile Modem Scripts (3 of them) from: http://www.taniwha.org.uk/
The scripts are under "Windows Smartphones & BlackBerrys" called "Scripts for Windows Mobile phones" (half way down the page)
Once downloaded, put the scripts into >Library >Modem Scripts
2. Start Bluetooth on the Treo
Go >Start Menu >Settings >Connections (from the bottom) >Bluetooth
Tick "Turn on Bluetooth"
Tick "Make this device discoverable to other devices"
Click OK
3. Pair The Treo with your Mac (done on the Mac)
If the Bluetooth menu is not already on your mac (near the date and time, top right) go to >System Preferences >Bluetooth
Under the "settings" tab tick "Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar" and the menu will appear
Once the menu is there, choose "Set up Bluetooth Device..."
Click "Continue" and on the next screen choose "Mobile Phone". Click "Continue"
Make sure the screen on the Treo is on (I've found the mac has trouble discovering the device otherwise)
Choose your phone and click "Continue"
Click continue and enter the pass code on the Treo and click "Next"
Once pared, on the phone click "Finish"
On the mac, make sure "Access the Internet with your phone's data connection" is ticked and click "Continue"
Enter your Vodafone (or Cingular) account username and password (see notes below)
Under phone number enter: *99# (this invokes GPRS or the 3G data connection)
Choose "Windows Mobile GSM 460k" from the "Modem Script" pop up menu
Click "Continue"
Click "Quit"
Select the new phone from the Bluetooth Devices list and press the "Edit Serial Ports" button from the left
Click the plus sign under the main window
Name it "Treo750" (or Cingular or Vodafone or whatever you want)
Choose "Modem" from the "Port type" pop up menu
Tick "Require pairing for security" and "Show in Network Preferences"
Click "Apply"
4. Configure The Bluetooth Port
Go >System Preferences >Network
Choose "Network"
A "New Port Detected" window should pop up, click "OK" (if it doesn't and you have a new "Bluetooth" port, don't worry)
Select the "Bluetooth" port from the list and click "Configure"
Under the PPP tab, click the "PPP Options" button from the bottom
Untick "Send PPP echo packets" and "Use TCP header compression" under "Advanced Options"
Click "OK"
Click the "Apply Now" button from the bottom right
Close System Preferences
5. Connecting to browse the internet from the mac
Go >Applications >Internet Connect
Click "Bluetooth" from the top
Tick "Show modem status in menu bar"
Quit internet connect
Make sure the Treo is on and bluetooth is on (and your data connection is on, see notes below)
Go up to the internet connect menu (the little phone icon) and select "Connect"
Notes
For the carrier account name and password, I just used the same account info that was on my phone under >Start >Settings >Connections >Connections Icon >Manage existing connections >Edit "VFNZ Internet" (or your carrier name) >Next Screen >Next Screen >Next Screen. On this third screen, I found my account details.
If for you there is nothing, then more than likely your carrier doesn't require a name and password - so on your Mac, leave these fields blank and just enter *99# for the phone number. Although, I think you may have to use something (for Mac & Windows Mobile compatibility) so just try entering username: guest and password: guest. There is much more info regarding this in the readme file that comes with the Windows Mobile modem scripts. Or contact your carrier for your specific details (probably the best thing to do!).
I have found the connection to be a little bit unreliable when the Treo's screen goes to sleep - so I tend to hit a button on the treo every 30 seconds to keep it on - But Vodafone here in NZ has flashed the ROM to make it HSDPA compatible so others may not have this problem.
I had trouble the first time I tried to connect through internet connect. But after I connected through >System Preferences >Network >Bluetooth >Connect button next to the configure button at the bottom, it worked every time from the Internet Connect menu.
Also, you may want to check your email or browse a page on the Treo first, just before connecting from your mac to make sure the data connection is on - I haven't worked this out fully but I'm not sure the Mac can open the data connection itself. Again, this may be a region/carrier specific issue.

I'm unable to browse the internet at home on my Macbook Pro (10.6.3), even though it shows I am connected to the wireless network with full bars.

This problem began weeks ago, when I suddenly couldn't browse the Internet at home despite being fully connected to the network. The network was a private, password-protected wireless network set up through a Netgear router.
I have spent hours troubleshooting and have tried multiple fixes including resetting PRAM, deleting and re-creating Airport, deleting and re-creating networks, changing IP and DNS, etc. to no avail. My roommate's PC works perfectly fine on the same wireless network.
This seems to be an issue with networks I use long-term. I can connect fine to networks at Starbucks, etc. for short-term use. Also, while trying to troubleshoot my connection issues on my home network over the last few weeks, I'd been using my apartment complex's public wireless connection (no password) with no issues. All of a sudden, I am having the same exact issue with that network. It's like something just snaps and maybe gets configured wrong after a few weeks or months of use.
I am desperate to find a fix, since now I can't use the internet AT ALL while at home and need it for work.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)

Creating a Windows 7 OS desktop short cut for gmail with Firefox as browser, not internet explorer

I have an HP laptop that originally had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit OS. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit OS. I want to generate a desktop shortcut for gmail that uses Firefox as the browser not internet explorer (8). If I use IE 8 as the brower and enter in gmail.com, gmail opens. I can right click on that page and create a gmail desktop short cut with IE 8 as the browser. If I try the same steps using Firefox as the opened browser, I can't create a desktop short cut by right clicking...it is not an option. I can't make Firefox my default browser for everything as my work programs/shortcuts require IE. Again, how do I create a direct gmail desktop shortcut that uses Firefox as the browser, not IE 8, when IE 8 has to be the default browser?

You could create a shortcut to open Firefox with a specific site using a command line argument.
You can copy the shortcut that you use to open Firefox, then right-click on it and choose '''Properties'''. On the shortcut tab, you will see the target, it will look something like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
You can add gmail.com to this shortcut so it looks like this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" gmail.com

PROBLEM WITH INSTALLING UPDATED INSPIRATION BROWSER

I have uninstalled Adobe Photoshop.com Inspiration Browser and cannot reinstall. When I install, the Adobe AIR Installer keeps returning "A download error occurred". How can I continue and install the update for Inspiration Browser.\?

Adobe has stopped supporting IB in PSE11 and is moving towards cloud sharing via Adobe Revel. In view of this I wouldn’t worry too much about installing or updating.

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.

I'm having a problem installing the inspiration browser

When I run Photoshop Elements 10 the screen shows that inspiration browser needs to be updated. I uninstalled the older veresion, clicked on install. Then I get a screen that says that Adobe Air is required to be installed "press yes to continue". When I press "yes" I get a screen titled Adobe Air Installer that says "A download error occured. Try to download again." I hit retry and get the same result.
I uninstalled Adobe Air. Made sure that inspiration browser was uninstalled also, rebooted and tried it again. Same result. Checked task manager and no Adobe products were running. Anyone have any suggestions?

I fixed it. I found this: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/kb/cant-launch-install-inspiration-browser.html
Instead of getting onto Premier Elements I got into Photoshop elements.
2) clicked on "Help" tab.
3) Clicked on "Elements Inspiration Browser". This brought up a logon screen to Photoshop.com.
4) Entered id and password, clicked on sign in. Failed.
5) Opened a new tab.
6) Went to Photoshop.com and signed in there.
7) Went back to the Photoshop Elements screen.
8) Repeated steps 2 & 3 which brought me to the install screen.
9) Clicked install and everything worked including the install of Adobe Air.
I hope this helps others having a similar problem.

Download error for Inspiration Browser and AIR- Elements 9

I have had Elements 9 for months but just installed it. I want to the the Inspiration Browser. It is not installed and asks if I want to install. I say yes and am taken to a downoad page saying I also need AIR, would i like to download both. I say yes and the process starts then I get "Download error" but no further explanation.
Does you have the solution?
