Inspiration Browser - PSE 10 Not Responding

Using Windows 7 & Photoshop Elements 10. Problems with Photoshop elements 10 not responding. Unstalled the Inspiration Browser and tried to download the update as directed. Browser still did not work & PSE 10 stopped responding. Please Help!

Pse 7 not responding

I have PSE 7 and as of 2 days ago it has completely stopped working. When i open the organizer it freezes and when you try to click on anything it says the program is not responding. I ve rebooted etc and nothing works. If i pull up the editor it works fine but i need the organizer to work bc thats where all my pics are. Has anyone had this problem? Please Help !

Clear browsing history does not respond

When I want to clear my browsing history using Clear Privare Data, Firefox does not respond. It clears the search history ok.

First of all, and although possibly not related to your problem, I will remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment as been discontinued and is no longer supported. Furthermore, it has known bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum stability, performance, security and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com].
As for your issue, you may be having a problem with some extension or plugin that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

PSE 12 Not responding, it appears to load fine, but crashes 10 seconds later

Private Browsing feature does not respond when clicked. error msg is found in error console for PB under "tools" what happened?

This is the msg found in error console under the "tools" drop down box: line 42 and it gives a link to a file on my hard drive the file is labeled: nsSessionStartup.js
Basically what happens is this: When I click on "start private browsing" nothing happens. It used to popup a notification telling me about PB and then it would sh0w (private browsing) in the top window bar. now... nothing. what happened?

Are you sure that you don't have Private Browsing enabled when Firefox is opened? <br />

With that setting selected there is no (Private Browsing) showing in the Title bar.

Cannot open PDF tutorials in Inspiration Browser?

Hello, I have Photoshop Elements 7.0 & with it I would like to try using the Adobe Photoshop.com Inspiration Browser tutorials. However, every time I try to open a PDF tutorial on the Inspiration Browser I get an error message stating, "A sufficient version (8.1 or later) of Adobe Reader is detected, but the version of Adobe Reader that is setup to handle PDF content is older than Reader 8.1."
I do have 2 Adobe programs (other than Elements) on my computer. I have Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0, & then I have Adobe Reader 9. I am using my work computer for this & we have to have both Standard 6.0 & Reader 9 for work purposes. My computer is set to automatically use Standard 6.0 if I click a PDF file, but I've tried changing this for the time being & the PDFs in the Inspiration Browser still will not open (I get the same error message even though if I click a PDF file on my computer with these settings changed Reader 9 does open it). I'm not sure why this is happening, because if I change the "open with..." settings to automatically use Reader 9 when I click a PDF, then it should be working in the Inspiration Browser, shouldn't it? The error message is stating I need 8.1 or later, which I obviously have with Reader 9.
I've tried restarting the Inspiration Browser (even tried restarting Elements as well), I've tried already having Reader 9 open when I click the "View PDF" button, but nothing is working. I just always get the same error message.
I obviously cannot delete/uninstall Standard 6.0 as I need it for my work, so I'm not sure what to do. If anyone knows a way to fix this, please share? Thanks!!!

Have you tried posting in the Photoshop.com forum? It's doesn't have an icon but is listed in the pull down search box.

Why does my updated version of Firefox keep freezing telling me "not responding"? I have no plugins either..

When i start firefox it takes forever to load, sometimes it doesnt even load up my default site, it should load up www.google.com but instead it loads www.ask.com. The reason why is because the browser isnt working correctly.
When I try to view any website, or search on Google it takes forever for something to happen, and 95% of the time the whole browser almost turns completely WHITE, then at the top of the browser it says "Not Responding". I have to continue to close the browser and start a new session but it does the same thing.
I have no or extensions, nothing at all.
Whats going on? I never had problems with Firefox, what is going on?

I'm getting a message that states "not responding".

I keep getting a message in the browser that states (Not Responding). I then get the choice to either waiting for the program to respond, or to close the program. This continuously happens, and it is annoying for Firefox to keep freezing up on me, so I constantly have to close the window, and then get the above choices. I also keep getting a message stating that an unknown source is attempting to update Firefox. I have downloaded Firefox several times without uninstalling the previous version (the previous version is 4.0 and the reinstall is also 4.0. I dont want to lose my bookmarks, which is why I havent uninstalled 4.0 and attempted to reinstal it again. Please advise me to a solution to this problem ASAP! Otherwise, I will have to continue to use Google Chrome. Thanks!

Make sure Photos is selected.

Problems installing Inspiration Browser with PSE 10

I have PSE 9 and recently installed PSE 10 on my Windows Computer running Vista Home Premium 32 bit. When I try to access the Adobe photoshop Inspiration Browser from either the introductory window or the HELP drop down in the Organizer, I am told that the Inspiration Browser is not installed and would I like to install it. I download the file adobephotoshopdotcominspirationbrowser.air and when I click install, I get the following message in the Application Window. "Sorry an Error has occurred. The application could not be installed because an application with that name already exixts at the selected installation location. Try installing to a different location."
I have removed and reinstalled Adobe AIR and still get the same message. I have searched and cannot file the file that is supposed to be there.
I have downloaded the Inspiration Browser program to the desktop and can open it from there, but then get a message that the Inspiration Browser should be opened from Photoshop Elements or it won't work properly.That fact seems to be true.
I have experienced the same problem with PSE 9 and could never open the Inspiration Browser in that program either.
I would appreciate help if anyone can suggest a solution.

Are you resizing the photo before save for web?
What settings are you using in the save for web dialog for the jpeg quality?
If you compress the jpeg too much (low quality settings below 60), that can make your photos look bad.
And save for the web in pse 10 automatically strips any metadata in order to keep the file sizes smaller.
Also, the save for web in pse 10 has a bad habit of not remembering your last used settings, so it's good to verify that your actually set to jpeg instead of the default GIF setting.

PSE 10 - Inspiration Browser for UK

Hi,
I have recently purchased Photoshop Elements for the first time, I am in the UK and have installed PSE 10 fine. I recently downloaded the Photoshop Inspiration Browser and that installed ok and created a shortcut on my Desktop. If I launch the Inspiration Browser from the Desktop link, I get a Warning advising it is best to open from within PSE. However I do not have a link to the Inspiration Browser in the Help menu.
Can anyone help me getting this link into PSE 10?

Hi, the work around suggested above should put you in working mode in the meantime. However to help investigate the issue it is possible to analyze what is not loading or taking a long time by analyzing the network traffic or http headers of the Nunit web page.

After completing my upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.10 When I attpemt to use "Tools/File/File Save As" from IE 11 I get a "Adobe Reader is not Responding" and my browser is locked up.

After completing my upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.10. when I attempt to save an online PDF to my local drive I receive a blank window where I would expect to see file directory structure to save to.
No local directories are displayed for "Saving To", it is all blank. When I try to Close (by clicking X) the "File Save As" box a message pops up on top that says "Adobe Reader is not Responding" It locks up all of my IE windows, not just the one with the PDF doc.
I then need to go Task Manager and stop the IE task. All my browser windows are then closed.
That is the only way to recover from the "Adobe Reader is Not Responding" message.
This was not happening in previous versions of Reader.
Tolls/File/File Save As always worked properly.
I have installed IE 11 (11.0.9600.17690)

I do not really know much about this kind of problem, but i may be your internet connection.
If you are on your own #G network then:
Go to Settings > then enable "Airplane Mode". Count to 10 and then disable it.
Then wait patiently until you get a good connection and then try again.
If you are on a nearby Wi-Fi connection then:
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then disable then enable after counting to 10. Make sure that you are connected and then try again.
If all else fails, then you need to contact your provider for assistance.

Has anybody else been seeing (Not Responding) at the top of the screen and having thier browser not respond to wheel scrolling and scrolling with the usual slider at the right part of the screen?

I have noticed my Firefox browser is having way too many incidences where it is "Not Responding". The browser freezes up for a second quite often and the "Not Responding" message will appear at the top of the screen.
The browser will also not scroll with either the scroll bar on the right nor with the mouse wheel. Both used to work in previous versions of Firefox, but it seems to have gotten worse since Firefox 5 0r 6. The same with the "Not Responding". It is happening more with Firefox 7 than in at least the past two versions.
Anybody else having these issues? Seems like they are hand-in-hand. Thanks for any and all help or advice. It's making me pretty angry since I'm online all day for work.
Just an FYI. At the bottom of my troubleshooting copy/paste is a suggestion to update the driver for my graphics. That was a no-go. I tried that.

Thank you for this first reply! I'll have to give this a try later....the main laptop I experience this on crashed not more than an hour after I posted this issue. I'm on a tiny, slow netbook that hasn't had the same problem. Now I'm wondering if I picked up a Trojan on the main laptop and the "Not Responding" message is a side effect of a virus or Trojan.
One of the system .dll files has been corrupted and I'm not being allowed to use recovery discs, previous disc images, or any recovery options. That was an all day sucker yesterday and from what I've read on forums and have researched, it appears I'm going to need to reload the operating system. If it is indeed a Trojan/virus, I'm surprised it made it through my antivirus and firewall. Anything is possible, really.
