Inspire 5.1 5200 sub problem

Hello. I looked around for a while on the forum and the web trying to find some one else with a similar problem but haven't as of yet..ok here goes.
First a bit of background..
I bought the 5.1 5200 series speaker system around a year ago and haven't had a bit of problem until now. I have been using onboard sound for most of the time (ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe) until I started having this issue. After tinkering around a bit with it trying to fix the problem I grabbed my SB Live 24 bit card and installed it, thinking it may be the on board sound messing up. After installing and updating the same problem exists.
I am only getting sound from my sub and center speaker and it is very 'bassy'...umm a lot of distorted bass. I checked all my settings and it all looks good. I hooked the speakers up to another computer and have the same problem. I tried unhooking the other speakers, switching wires around and everything else I can think of, I am at a loss here. My headset still works great, sound is good through that. Also if I disconnect the Pink wire (Sub) from the sub then my center speaker plays ok, (still no sound from the other speakers) but the sub still has some sound coming from it. And it may be unrealted but it also seems that the sub is putting out more magnetism than usual (if that makes sense). ie, I notice distortion from it on my monitor (messes with the colors) from an area where it didn't do that before. I have come to the conclusion that the sub has simply 'gone bad' but I am hopeful that it hasn't. Anyway thanks in advance for any thoughts.

effects are temporary, if the monitor starts going purple move the magnet causing it for a few weeks and the monitor goes back to normal, well it does that immediatly, but wait a few weeks and you can place the sub in its old place and not affect the monitor, until it happens again, rinse and repeat
if you are a gamer I would recommend the G550W set, or the S750 if you want the "big uns"
I use the S750 myself, combined with Fatatlity card, loverly setup

Inspire 5.1 5200 connectivity problem with lg dvd 5.1

Please help me out with one connectivity problem. Recently I purchased Creative Inspire 5.1 5200 speaker system with one LG DVD 5.
From the speaker sub woofer system three output comes out which are EP. Now the LG DVD have six input in the form as mentioned below: <- Centre Box // 2- Sub Woofer Box // 3- Front Left // 4- Front Right // 5- Rear Left // 6-Rear Right.
Now I have tried by fixing the EP to EP-RCA(2) converter and plugged in to all the six DVD input. But all in vain since sound from two speakers could be heard. Right now I have fixed all the three EP to/-> 2- Sub Woofer Box// 4- Front Right // 6-Rear Right. But the performance in audio level is not at all satisfactory.
Please help me out with proper connectivity.

I bought this Inspire 5200 some six months back. I use it with DVD player and have used it with three different DVD players, but the problems I face while playing DVD is that I mostly receive sound in front speakers, center speaker and the sub-woofer only. I say mostly as at times I get sound in one of the rear speaker as well, but that is very rare. My right rear speaker is completely dead, I have not heard any sound out of that lately. I have connected the speakers properly and checked by chaging cables as well, but of no use. I tried changing the DVD players as well, and have set them correctly to output 5.1 channel sound, but of no use.
I feel I should take it to the service center. But then, I have heard a lot of complaints for the service center here in New Delhi in India, specifically that they take very long to get the product repaired or replaced (at times more than 2-3 weeks) and make you visit several times before giving you the product back. Don't no what to do? Any sugestions?

Creative inspire 5.1 5200 speaker problem

I just bought these speakers and the center speaker gives me static i tried switching the sound card and i still got static i dont know if they are broken or if im doing something wrong

Try a set of headphones on the same output on the soundcard. If you hear static then, it's something on the card or PC that's causing it. If the sound is fine then, it must be something in the speakers.
Double-check the cable isn't damaged, it may be that it's faulty. Otherwise it's possible the center speaker itself (or the output on the sub) is broken. Contact Customer Support for assistance in that case.

Inspire 5.1 5200 - Problem with headphones

I have an Inspire 5.1 5200 using Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.
Recently the right channel stopped working on the headphones. I at first thought the headphones were bad but checked another set and they also would not work on right channel. Tried both sets in another device and they work okay.
All speakers and sub-woofer work when not using headphones.
Only problem is with right channel headphone output.
Any ideas?

I spoke with CL about the problem and they felt that it was the wired remote. The part is $9.99 + $2.99 shipping to lower 48.
I have not ordered it yet as I want to rule out other possible problems as much as possible.

Inspire 5.1 5200: Problem with Connectivity

Can anyone help me in connecting my portable MP3 player to the speakers Inspire 5.1 5200. Mp3 player has only one output point and speaker got three inputs. Because of this I can only have the sound of one pair of speakers i.e either front, or rear or (woofer and the center)
Also can you please guide me how to connect it to TV with only two points for audio(L+R).
I am not a hardware/electronics expert, so could you please give me a detailed help.

I got an idea for u.. You can actually buy a Y connector.
This type of connector u can easily get from Shopping center. It have male and 2 female connection. so u can use the male to go to your MP3 player and the female to accept the two stereo jack for 2 front and 2 rear speaker.
this will be the same for TV.

Is related to sound card or....,i mean sound card...is ok ; however , something is wrong about entries of the speakers. Before i formatted my pc ,i had decided to take off some speakers. Then i tried to use them again but there was no sound coming from 3 of the speakers.After that i tought format would fix it but it did not work although i set everything properly. Today i format my pc again...and i noticed that the working-2-entry of the speakers are not working and the other non-working-2 entry of speakers are working (there is no problem related to speakers,they are all fine). I really do not know what to do. One more thing,when i take off the centre subwoofer's cable, the centre speaker and left and right speakers are working but when i put on centre subwoofer's cable 3 of the speaker including centre speaker are not working and the other 2 of the speaker are working.Could anyone tell me how to fix this problem? If you have no idea ..can you tell me how can i get the CD which is given with this product or there is sound control program (which is in the CD) i barely remember..''soundmax...'' or something else..Does anyone know how can i get that program? Could the 5+ speakers be sounded altogether as I always listen the music from some other web sites have such effect. Have any adjustments or others etc. made in order to have such effect for listen the music through Windows Media Player in the web stie of moov.now.com.

Inspire 5.1 5200 developed sounds issues

Hello all, I've got a 2 month old set of Inspire 5. 5200s, and they started having real sounds issues. I get clear sound out of the front center, muffled sound out of the front left, no sound out of the other satilites, and overwhelming bass from the sub when I play media. I get clear sound out of my headphones in any jack I put them in, and similar performance from the speakers regardless of which jack I put them in. I'm not sure what's going on, and I really hope they're not broken. I'm running an Audigy 2 Plat on Xp sp. I've tried all the troubleshooting ideas from the web site and messed with my AudioHQ and control panel sound settings. Any ideas?

Okay, have done. I've connected my mp3 player to each of the speaker cords, and reci'ved no better sound. I get muffled bass out of the front and rear, and okay sound out of the center/sub cord. Alternati'vely, I've connected my headphones to all the jacks in the back, as well as the headphone jack on the volume controler and recieved good sound. This was all done on the 5.1 setting on both the control panel and Creative speaker settings.

Inspire 5.1 5200, Rear Left and Rear Right no sound

I have the Inspire 5.1 5200 sound system hooked up to SB Audigy. I have Windows sound control panel and creatives panel configured to 5.1 speakers. Still there is no sound out of both rears. What is going on? Thanks in advance.

How to get Realtek HD Audio to work with Creative Inspire 5.1 5200?

I have a problem with correctly setting the Realtek HD Audio with my Creative Inspire 5200 5.1 speaker set. I don't get any sound on all of them when test button is clicked, only surround speakers work. They were working on my old PC. I did a search on this forum and Internet, but could not find any solution to this specific problem.
Setting:
* MSI drivers: 6.0.1.6267, directx 11, ALC 892
* Speakers set to default audio device
* Plugged in 3 jacks, colors matching (3 in a row - black:rear, orange: center/subwoofer, green:side speakers)
* On Realtek HD Audio Manager: Speaker configuration: 5.1 Speaker; Optional spakers: center, subwoofer, rear pair checked; full range speakers: front left and right and surround speakers checked; speaker fill/swap/bass management disabled.
What I get:
* left surround clicked: OK
* right surround clicked: OK
* No sound from others
Tests:
* Checked not muted
* Checked volume control, not set to zero
* Rechecked cables from MB to Creative Subwoofer
* Rechecked cables from Creative Subwoofer to speakers
* Checked other spaker configuration settings:
- Stereo : no sound
- Quadro: only surround spakers OK
- 7.1: surround spakers OK + left 2nd surround sound comes from right front speaker
Any directions are very much appreciated

The problem is at "test button" level, somehow the mobo cannot drive the correct lines :(

Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speakers problem

Hello. I have Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 Speakers with SB Audigy Live! 24-bit installed Sound Card (it supports up to 7.1 speakers). Also I have Stereo Surround CMSS 3D settings (EAX)enabled. However when I'm listening to music or playing games my Rear Left speaker makes no sound. Before I had problem that Rear Right wasn't working (however rear left and right sound was on rear left speaker), but after replugging Rear Left doesn't work. Any ideas what might be the problem?

EDIT:: I tried changing Rear Left and Rear Right speakers with each other in Subwoofer (where it connects) and Rear Left is working properly.

Currently, I'm using the P5800. My problem is sub can't working. I fix together with SB24Bit External sound card.Previously is working. I'm very proud with the sound,after I decrease the master volume and bass level volume my sub suddenly quit.what happened actually?
-Is that mean I need to change the sub speaker or the coil inside the magnet core is burned?
-or maybe my component circuit like ic,capacitor,diode burned?
If I plug n unplug the power to the sub,I can heard that 'bump'. Is that mean my circuit in good condition or maybe the charge and discharge for capacitor?

I have the s750 7.1 speaker system i got it back in 2005 and they have worked perfect up until the other day. I was watching a movie and then all of a sudden my right side and rear speakers stop working. so i checked the wires and they are all fine so i did what you did and take a working speaker and plug it in to the right side and/or rear spot on the sub and still nothing!!!!!

Memphis M-class 10" sub problems

I recently purchased these Memphis M-class four ohm, dual voice coil subs. Everything was working fine, They take up to 300 watts each, and im pushing it with a 500 watt rockford fosgate amp. One day, my subs just stopped working in the middle of a song, so when i opened my trunk to see what the problem was, smoke was coming out from the inside of my box. Now I really know almost nothing about systems, but I assumed smoke was a very bad thing.. After taking the subs out of the box, I see no burn or char marks on the subs or the wires, no melting or anything. Everything looks to be in top shape.. so i tried to re-wire thinking it may have been a short, but the only luck i had was to get one of the subs to start working, but it was definietely not running at full power... so I guess my question is, does it sound like i completely blown my speakers? Is there anything I can do to test them and see if it is something fixable.. or would it be better to just buy new subs (which i really really dont want to do). Any help would be great!

when you press down the cone, does it go down smooth or does it make a crunch noise and/or feels like theres something in the way?
that would mean you have a blown voice coil. you have to get the sub reconed.

Inspire 5.1 5300 sound problem

Hello,
My Inspire sound system was working very well until now. Now when i power up i get a constatnt hum on the speakers. This hum is even when the incoming cable from the sound card is disconnected. The lamp of the volume regulator comes on when it is turned - so i assume no fuse is blown. Can anybody help me about this problem.

Hi, I have the very same problem with my creative 4.1 speakers. A loud hum begins the moment i start it. Strangely enough it sometimes plays, and sometimes just plays for about 20-30 sec before it goes back to the hum.
If you have found the source of the problem, please let me know too... am pretty bugged with this.
Anyone else who can shed some light on this issue?

Inspire 5.1 P5800 Sound problem...

I have a Sound problem with my 5.1 speaker system. When I turn it on,(playing music or not)I hear a terrible loud/high background noise, like a constant interferance. It's a very unpleasant sound. The noise come from all satelites speaker(Speacially the center speaker.)
I'm sure that all conections is ok.
Please help me to solve this problem.
PD.: If it's help I have a Compaq Presario SR602LS Desktop PC.

1 Identify which component causes it; plug headphones to your computer to see if that has noise, try all three connections. Then, connect all speaker inputs to a different source, like a mp3-player.
2 If both are noise-free, it has to be some kind of interference. The cables to the satellites are coaxial so they are not likely to be the cause, but the 3,5mm jacks to the sub might be. To find out if they are, try moving your sub around your room to see if the noise changes (both decrease or increase).
3 If the problem cannot be traced to either or 2, it might be a groundloop: that the signal fed from, for instance, your computer, to the ground connection of your electricity-plug is picked up by your speaker set. To check this, try connecting your set to a different electrical group or at least a different plug.
In case 1: if it's the pc, try grounding it if it's not already. If it's the speakerset it will not be so easy to solve.
In case 2: see if you can connect the sub to your pc using coaxial wires (or perhaps even optical, I am not familiar with the set), you might need some 3,5mm-to-RCA-plugs for that, or if you can somehow shield the inputcables by wrapping it in aluminum-foil or anything.
