Inspire 5.1 5300 sound problem

Hello,
My Inspire sound system was working very well until now. Now when i power up i get a constatnt hum on the speakers. This hum is even when the incoming cable from the sound card is disconnected. The lamp of the volume regulator comes on when it is turned - so i assume no fuse is blown. Can anybody help me about this problem.
Regards
lalisund

Hi, I have the very same problem with my creative 4.1 speakers. A loud hum begins the moment i start it. Strangely enough it sometimes plays, and sometimes just plays for about 20-30 sec before it goes back to the hum.
If you have found the source of the problem, please let me know too... am pretty bugged with this.
Anyone else who can shed some light on this issue?

  • Inspire(M5300) 5.1 sound problems

    Hi all,
Recently I have bought a new creative 5.1 inspire(M5300) speakers, but have got poor sound clarity. The volume is also very low. I didn't get a high volume with this 5.1. I am getting the the same 2.1 volume with this new speakers.
Is there any chance for me to increase the speaker sound and sound clarity?
I am expecting a good answers.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Mahesh.

Hi Mahesh Inspire 5.1 5300 is one of good speakers. It is 5.1 Dolby concept sepeakres. there is no comparison with 2.1 speakrs. first of allif your are using these speakrs with your existing motherboard's sound card then you cannot get full performance of these speakers.to get full melodius sound effect you please install creative sound card Sound blaster 5.1 or Creative Audigy Value 7.1 ( Recomended) To get good sound effect pls do following 1. Place your subwoofer at the floor not at table top. 2. Adjust bass level at normal level as indicated in its knob.( Center Level) 3. Do not set Bass level at full level. 4. Place all speakres as showen in cataloge available with speakrs. 5. Adjust Graphic equilize or bass trebel in sound card ( if creative sound card installed)

  • Inspire 5.1 P5800 Sound problem...

    Hello Everyone
I have a Sound problem with my 5.1 speaker system. When I turn it on,(playing music or not)I hear a terrible loud/high background noise, like a constant interferance. It's a very unpleasant sound. The noise come from all satelites speaker(Speacially the center speaker.)
I'm sure that all conections is ok.
Please help me to solve this problem.
PD.: If it's help I have a Compaq Presario SR602LS Desktop PC.

1 Identify which component causes it; plug headphones to your computer to see if that has noise, try all three connections. Then, connect all speaker inputs to a different source, like a mp3-player.
2 If both are noise-free, it has to be some kind of interference. The cables to the satellites are coaxial so they are not likely to be the cause, but the 3,5mm jacks to the sub might be. To find out if they are, try moving your sub around your room to see if the noise changes (both decrease or increase).
3 If the problem cannot be traced to either or 2, it might be a groundloop: that the signal fed from, for instance, your computer, to the ground connection of your electricity-plug is picked up by your speaker set. To check this, try connecting your set to a different electrical group or at least a different plug.
In case 1: if it's the pc, try grounding it if it's not already. If it's the speakerset it will not be so easy to solve.
In case 2: see if you can connect the sub to your pc using coaxial wires (or perhaps even optical, I am not familiar with the set), you might need some 3,5mm-to-RCA-plugs for that, or if you can somehow shield the inputcables by wrapping it in aluminum-foil or anything.

  • Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 Sound Problem

I have a Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) (Audigy 2) and the speakers are Creative Inspire 6.1 6600. The sound goes down when the selector of volumen is between 3 and 4. I need to increase the volume to make it sound again, but it goes down again. What`s going on?

Does this problem only occur in certain programs? Because I have a similar problem with my sound suddenly dropping without warning. But it only happens when I'm playing music in Windows Media Player. If it does have something to do with the media player then I suspect it could be the "WOW effects plugin." I hope this helps, or at least narrows down your problem.

  • Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 Sound problem.

The volume of the speaker system tends to increase and then decreases with slightest touch of the volume control unit. At other times the volume would jump/change on it's own. I tried disconnecting the speakers and reconnecting my old set of 2-way pc speakers and they work perfectly, thereafter i reconnected the creative speakers but the problem is still there. Does anyone know what the problem could be. I am not a technical person, I just want my speakers to work fine. If it helps my PC system specs are : 1.7 ghz celeron
    Gigabyte P4 Titan 845PE M/board
    256 MB Ram
    Avance AC '97(6 channel) Onboard
    ATi Radeon 9200 28 MB
    Windows XP Home

  • Inspire 5.1 5300 connect problems

    hi guys
i use a AC97 onboard soundcard, but i cant seem to get all 5 sattelite speakers to work.
i connected my speakers to the subwoofer, and to my onboard card but i only hear 2 speakers and the subwoofer, and if i change some cables i can only hear the other 2 and the subwoofer.
    how do i solve this.....
and i dont have a tool/utility/program to change the channels or anything.
i installed the latest drivers for my card.
plz help me with this it costed me all day long to figure it out.

    termeulen,
You can try using a software called Media Player Classic for playback of media files. There's a feature whereby you can map the audio source to different channel under it's audio setting but of cos all media have to be playback via the software only. If that's not something you want, then you will need to check with the manufacturer unfortunately as this isn't something this speaker system can achieve.

  • Having Problem With Inspire 5.1 5300 rear speaker...

After using my inspire 5.1 5300 for few year... right now im having problem with my rear speaker... just one channel was unable to start... Anyone know about repairing for speaker ? I Have try to switch to other channel it seem that just that rear speaker was unable to start... all should be ok... week before i still hearing sound from that rear speaker... but now it was unable to start. Anyone Have Any Idea Please Tell Me. Thank You

Just to clarify, by "FCP 5 friendly source material," he means video files that are a format (codec) that FCP 5 supports. What FCP 5 supports can be found in the EASY SETUP list. If the format you are working with isn't there, say if your footage is H.264 or MP4 or some other web compressed format, FCP won't work properly.  It needs to be in an editing codec if you want FCP 5 to work with it.
Also, you need to make sure that your sequence settings match the settings of the footage you are trying to edit. If you add a clip to the sequence, and immediately have to render, that's a big clue to say that something isn't right. You should edit without rendering at all.
The most important thing you need to do is properly set up your project from the start, and the best way to do this is to choose a setting from the Easy Setups, located under the Final Cut Pro menu. Once you do this, you’ll need to create a new sequence.  This is because the sequence that is already in your new project is setup for the typical default setting of DV/NTSC, or for the settings of your last project, which might not match what you are currently working with.  So delete SEQUENCE 1 and create a new sequence:
This new sequence will contain the settings you chose in the Easy Setup menu, and should match the format you captured

  • Center Speaker plays center sounds and rear sounds. Inspire 5.1 5300 speakers.

My inspire 5.1 5300 speakers are set up for 5.1 surround sound. I have CMSS enabled. I hear static from the rear speakers. Everything seems to be set up just fine. But when I run the speaker test the front right, center, and front left work. The rear left and rear right speaker sound comes out of the center speaker instead of the rear speakers even though the center speaker also gives out the correct test sound.
I have an audigy card, SB0090 is the model number. I don't know the retail name.

  • Inspire 6100 5.1 Wired noise sound problem

    Hello everybody,
i just buyed a brand new SB XFI Gamer and with this the Inspire 6100 5.1 Sound-System.
The Sound is very nice, but somehow i hear somd kind of "backgroundsound" from the boxes.
Sorry for my bad englisch im from germany but i try to explain:
When im on the desktop, i still hear some kind of bssssssssssss "some elektronik sound" out of the boxes. How could this be?
I only remeber this kind of sound from my old sound systeme, when i turned it "to loud" ,there was some noise.
But with the 6100, i have no clue how to stop the boxes from "Humming" ?
When i turn the power on, the wired sound starts, please explain me how i can stop the
    boxes from "talking" ;O) .
    Thx

  • Looking to Put Inspire 5.1 5300 Back In Service

The situation is like this: I have the Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 speaker system: however, it has a wired remote that doesn't work. (That is literally the only problem; however, with the wired remote unusable, the speaker system itself is useless.) Creative *does* carry other wired remotes (specifically one for the newer Inspire P5800); however, I have no idea if the remote will work with the older 5300 (I'm not expecting the M-Dock to work, and have no use for it if it does). Will the P5800 wired remote work? Will I instead have to contact Creative Direct (I'm in the US) for a 5300 replacement remote? Or am I basically screwed (and thus have to buy another speaker system, which is not exactly inexpensive)?

I tested the speaker again. This time round, I did a few test using VLC, Media Player, and Audacity. What I hear on the VLC and the Media Player is very consistent, the 5kHz tone is not as ear piercing as the 10kHz tone. I then test using Audacity. Initially, the 5kHz tone is more ear piercing then the 0kHz. But after I played the tone again on the VLC and Media player, and then back to Audacity again, what I hear became the same as that played in VLC and Media Player. So, now I am wondering which part of my PC is having problem software, sound card, or some other things that is not known to me. Can somebody please enlighten me?

  • Creative Inspire 5.1 5300 troubles

    Hello ;
    My Creative 5300 speakers that served me now for more than 10 years are giving me troubles;
Middle front speaker => no sound
Left and right front speakers => low volume sound
Left and right rear speakers => high volume sound
    What I've already done :
    checked all jacks and plugs
changed my X-Fi Titanium fatality pro into another PCI-e slot
Uninstalled drivers and software following the Creative FAQ http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...aspx?sid=55438
Running windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and Creative driver 2.17.9
Can I assume that my speakers are dead ?
    Any ideas or suggestions ?
Also It's been so long that I bought my Creative speakers what is the today equivelant of Inspire 5.1 5300 ?

  • Inspire 5.1 5300 - only 2 speakers work

    Hi,
I've been using these Inspire 5.1 5300 speakers for quite some time and it worked without problems all this while.
But today out of a sudden I realised there is only sound coming out from two of the five speakers.
I thought the speakers were spoilt so I tested by switching the cables around but it worked after that.
What can I do to rectify this problem? Does the problem lie with the settings (I didn't change anything) or the subwoofer that I'm connecting my speakers to?
    Any help is appreciated.

Hi - I have the same problem as frogdorr. Onset 2 years ago.
Inspire 5300 speakers with audigy OEM card. Worked fine (and brilliantly!) for several months to a year. Then suddenly back two speakers stopped working. It is not the speakers - rotate them and they work fine but the new back speakers don't work.
Checked all windows settings (2000 & XP), speakers, conflicts etc. Reinstalled win.
Rotate the black and green plugs ( then rear becomes front, front becomes rear) means front left & right speakers don't work.
Used the audigy sound card with quadraphonic speakers (fps600) with no problem front & back. Used built in M/B sound card with the same result- no sound back speakers.
Seems like a cube loose wiring problem to me.
    Where to from here?
Is there a service manual or approach to fixing this problem?

  • Which speaker system is better: Inspire 5200 or 5300?

    Hi,
I'm just about to :smileyindifferent: buy new Creative speaker systems. Unfortunately, in my country and city options are scarce. Only few models are available and I am trying to get a good, decent sound, with good bass for bassy songs (i.e. dance, hip-hop), and good sound in general for PC-based games and DVDs.
I am given two choices: Creative Inspire 5200 and 5300. The big question: which one is better? I supposed that since 5300 is a bigger number than 5200, the 5300s should be better; but I may be wrong (e.g. the total RMS power of the 5200s is slightly higher than the 5300s!), so... somebody can give me a piece of advice on this?
I am willing to spend as much as USD$50.00 on my new speakers... so if someone has better speakers in mind for that price, I'm open to suggestions. With luck, I can give them a try.
    Regards.

Logic does not run on Windows computers anymore, only on Apple Hardware.

  • [Athlon64] Sound problem with new speakers, maybe related to soundcard on motherboard!

I just bought new speakers to my PC, creative Inspire GD580, but no sound are comin from them! they worked, because on the remote u could press test and then a noise came from each speaker (its 5.1) but no sound in windows, (when u log in or out and that kind off stuff) and not when I play music or games. Whats he problem? they are exactly right plugged in in the computer and that kind of tuff sp thats not the problem. I wonder if it has anything to do with my motherboard because the sound card are on it, I dont use any seperatly sound card, I use the one on the motherboard, the motherboard is an MSI K8T NEO2 FIR, K8T800PRO, Socket-939 SATA, GbLAN, ATX, Raid, Firewire, AGP8X (sound exit : VIA VT8237 - 7.1 sorround sound.) Is this my problem? please help!             The Sound card i think its called Realtek AC'97 Audio for Via Audiocontroller, is that bad or good?
Maybe thet just control the sound, i'm not sure its the sound cards name!

    Okay,
the old speakers work fine, the new ones don't. So I don't think, that this is an issue of the mainboard.
Please check if the speakers are really connected the right way. Also check "Audio devices" (sorry, don't know the equivalent in non-german Windows) in Control Panel, if speaker setup corresponds to your hardware. There is also a MSI- or realtek thingy in the control panel, you should have a look at the settings there, too.
In BIOS there is not much to check. You can only enable or disable the onboard audio device. BIOS Version is shown on startup, it might be necessary to press the [pause] key in order to read the information.
