Inspire 6.1 6600 MOD Tissue BOX

So, i took one of satellites from my inspire 6600 just because my klipsch promedia 5.1 ultras eliminated the need to ever use those again, and i Decided that I wanted to take it apart and play around with it. But after carrying it around with me for a while i decided that i wanted to put the actual speaker somewhere without the case. I was with my friend and we couldnt think of anywhere untill we saw the tissue box on the counter and at once we realized that this tissue box was destined to play music. After a few hours of messing around with the speakers, and taking apart other various electronics for parts, wires etc. we finally came up with our final product, a tissue box with 0watts of speaker power coming out of it. Well we had fun with that and thank god that we still have the 5 other satellites from the 6.1 system to mess around with. The pictures for this are on a makeshift website that i threw together just for this http://www.geocities.com/essej777/ti...html?369535209

6.1 6600 speakers will have every satellites giving out different sounds and reverberation. If you have those all similare, your sound card might not be supporting channel output.
With my experience with creative, the speaker systems are not suposed to be operated at full volume, at full bass enhan*****t. The reasons are:
1) The power supply will be one-third more capable than the speaker rating. So, full amplification of the sound signal is not preferable.
2) Even if the fidility of sound card is excellent with more than 98 dB SNR, the amplifier at the speaker system need not be as good as that at the card (because, it amplifies the signal to much higher a value)
3) As I have seen with most of the speaker systems (including high end theatres), the bass enhan*****t is fully functional with woofer and subwoofers of more than 100 watt RMS. That too will exhibit chattering after an year or two, at high volumes.

  • Inspire 6.1 6600 Repair??ANYBODY??

After about 3 years of reliable usage, my Inspire 6.1 sub took a dump. It just made a "BOOMP" sound and power went off. I checked internal fuse and it's fine,... anybody know where I can get this repaired?
Creative just wants to sell me a NEW system and charge me $2.99 for a "Tech Session" for trouble shooting........
ARE YOUR SPEAKERS PLUGGED IN AND TURNED ON.........yep
IS YOUR REMOTE SWITCH TURNED ON.................................yep
    ARE YOUR CABLES ATTACHED PROPERLY...............................yep
ARE YOU SURE THE SOUND SOURCE IS SENDING SIGNAL..... yep
    .....OK,.... IT's BROKE..................................DUHHHHHHHHH HHHhhhhhhh!!! $2..99 PLEASE.
    You know, the sad thing is;
I use many other Creative products on my job (Music Production). I use Creative Jukeboxes, Creative Soundcards, as well as creative Playcenter2 & Mediasource.....
I work with this equipment every day,... my production schedule demands reliable gear or a least quick customer service. We can't afford the "down time".
I have REALLY been considering switching to iPod's and with the lack of customer service I am getting from Creative,.... I might just go that direction. I have been told I "won't look back".
Since I can't even get schematics (thats "Internal Map" ??,...for SOME Creative tech people),......... to have my Inspire 6.1 6600 system repaired (which from the looks of this forum is a COMMON PROBLEM ),..... I guess maybe I'd be better off spending my $$$ somewhere else.
    Thanks guys!!

    thm_05,
If you need a transformer to use a power supply from a different country, you'd really need to speak to an electrical store in your area to see if they can supply you with one. We don't make or supply any of these.

  • Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 Speakers

I have Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 speakers. The "Wired Volume / Base Control with Power Switch and Headphone Jack" is malfunctioning. In fact, when I turn the volume control on, the green LED on top does not illuminate. And because of this bad control, I do not have sound. Can anyone tell me how and where I can replace this control? Your assistance is appreciated. Thanks very much.
    Charles

I'm also having the exact same problem, and so is a friend who has the same speaker/soundcard setup. Any help is appreciated!

  • Creative Inspire 6.1 6600 Sound Problem

I have a Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM) (Audigy 2) and the speakers are Creative Inspire 6.1 6600. The sound goes down when the selector of volumen is between 3 and 4. I need to increase the volume to make it sound again, but it goes down again. What`s going on?

Does this problem only occur in certain programs? Because I have a similar problem with my sound suddenly dropping without warning. But it only happens when I'm playing music in Windows Media Player. If it does have something to do with the media player then I suspect it could be the "WOW effects plugin." I hope this helps, or at least narrows down your problem.

  • I reinstalled (many times now) but on starting Firefox goes straight to the safe mode dialog box. It disappears and nothing happens, no matter what response

Error message: "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting" "Firefox is now running in safe mode"
If I choose "Continue in safe mode" or anything else, the box disappears and nothing happens. If I try to uninstall at that point, I get a warning that Firefox can't be uninstalled when it is still running.
I periodically get errors such as "The instruction at 0x77caf42c referenced memory at 0x77f1bc98. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.
I have run PrevX, SpyBot and Malwarebytes and none find any viruses, though PrevX found and removed one previously when I first started having problems ("community.heuristics" or something like that.
    Can anyone help?

  • Illustrator CS2 Start up - Convert color mode dialog box

Using Illustrator CS2, on opening, the usual loading prescreen appears, after which a dialog box appears showing the following text
    "Convert Color Mode"
"The document contains objects using both CMYK and RGB color modes. Illustrator allow only one color mode per document. Which color mode would you like to use? (RGB and CMYK appear as option boxes)"
This dialog box appears every time I open Illustrator, even though I'm not actually opening a document.
I've tried adjusting the Color Settings (Edit> Color Settings) but this hasn't affected the dialog box appearing.
I've checked all the usual sources of help but can't identify any cures.
I want to be able to change this so the dialog box no longer appears as it tends to "hide" behind all the other applications I have open at the time and can be difficult to get to, meaning opening Illustrator is a 5 minute battle.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

You haven't messed with the startup .ai files have you?
You might try deleting the ai prefs file (see FAQ), though that might be a reach in this case.

  • How do I get to the 'Print Mode Choice Box' in the Apple provided software for a Canon Pixma IP6210D Series printer?

I downloaded the Apple software for my Pixma, IP6210D series printer.  There is no 'Color Matching', option or 'print options', pop up menu available.  According to the instructional book that came with the printer - the Mac how-to section those options should be available.
In the 'Page Setup', dialog box the 'OK' button is not listed.  The two choices are cancel and print.
How on earth do I get to the 'Print Options', box?
    Thank you for your help.

Sounds like you have the print dialog minimised, as shown.
If you click the triangle next to the printer name, this will expand the print dialog and from this view you can see all the menu options as mentioned in the guide.

  • Connecting an Inspire 6.1 6600 system directly to a PC WITHOUT a sound card

I have a Dell PC with no sound card. I also have an Inspire 6.1 system. I want to connect the speaker system directly to the PC. I searched high and low on the CL site to no avail.

    Hi Tseran6600,
Before you do that, please check if the main board supports 6.1 speakers. It would also be advisable to get in touch with the computer vendor for assistance because they have information about your system.

    Hello,
All of my other speakers work except for the Sub......
It is strange because everything is connected to the sub, the sound of the other speakers is good and the calibration via the Creative software reads good.
Still, the sub just doesn't make any sound.....

Does anyone have any suggestion as to why my sub doesn't work?
