INSPIRE 7.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM P7800 (speaker replacement) ??

Hello,
I have this set of speakers for over a little under a year or over. And I just noticed that my right speaker is broken, I noticed I wasn't getting any sound from it and I moved the cord around and the sound came in and out. The cord is damage or something.
I'd like to buy a replacement for that ONE speaker only. IS that possible ? somehow ?

its actually a possibility, the problem is it may not be worth the trouble. For instance: quality would not be nearly as good as a hard wired connection via speaker wire, and just imagine having to search for an SSID everytime one of the speakers won't get signal.

I am tring to repair the permissions on my computer and am getting all of these types of errors. Computer is dragging. I reinstalled my operating system and this is what is happening. Any suggestions. Happening on my desk top I Mac and on my Mac Book. I did google search and Error 23 is "These errors indicate that the Mac tried to access one of the standard routines in the system file and couldn't find it. I would apply or reapply the 10.6.8. Combo Update from Safe Boot (hold Shift down at startup -- give it much more time to boot than usual and leave it in SB for a few minutes before doing anything.)

Use system-wide Text replacement to superscript characters? 1st, 2nd, etc

I wanted to use the new text substitution in Snow Leopard to transform typed "1st" and "2nd's" into their 'correct' form with superscripted numerical suffixes. I tried to just easy do it by copying a corrected form out of Pages where I had created a proper "1st,", "2nd," and so on, but when I would paste them into the system prefs pane, they would just paste as regular numerals & letters instead of the superscripted variety.
I then thought to see if I could find the proper superscripted letters in the character viewer but came up empty. Does anyone know of a way to get this working? it's minor and all, but would be a nice addition.

2) how would that help this situation any even if I hadn't? i didn't say "I can't get my text replacements to be accepted in any applications," I stated that I cannot find a way to get the Text System Prefs pane to accept supercripted numerical suffixes.
Sorry to be an *** about it, but everyone's always lambasting posters for not being clear enough or specific enough in what they're trying to do, and I was very clear about what I was asking and even in giving specifics on what i had done to try and remedy the situation myself.
I'm not asking how to get text replacement to work in apps, I'm asking how to get the system-wide text replacement to accept superscripted numerical suffixes in the first place. Maybe it's not possible? maybe it is and I'm missing something, but if so it's specific to the prefs pane, not other applications.

What is the best way to hook up my Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 sound system to my new iMac?

We recently purchased a 27" iMac and want to use our Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 sound system with it. How do we make this connection to get the most out of the sound system?

Connecting Inspire 6.1 speaker system to Television

Hi,
I am having creative inspire 6.1 6600 speker system connected to my computer and its working perfectly for me.Recently i bought a television LG 29FD55VE. I am planning to connect the speaker system to this Television.How do i do that?
There are two ports(AV2) in the television from which i am able to hear the sound if i connect the single speaker directly to that port.
One more question i have is does creative speker systems have inbuilt amplifiers?

Before you do that, please check if the main board supports 6.1 speakers. It would also be advisable to get in touch with the computer vendor for assistance because they have information about your system.

Inspire 5.1 5200 Speaker Replacement

Greetings everyone...
My wife was vacuuming around my computer and happened to suck up and ruin the speaker wire to my rear LS speaker. The speaker no longer works and I was wondering where I can get a replacement speaker. Any assistance you may provide will be welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Try a set of headphones on the same output on the soundcard. If you hear static then, it's something on the card or PC that's causing it. If the sound is fine then, it must be something in the speakers.
Double-check the cable isn't damaged, it may be that it's faulty. Otherwise it's possible the center speaker itself (or the output on the sub) is broken. Contact Customer Support for assistance in that case.

I have the s750 7.1 speaker system i got it back in 2005 and they have worked perfect up until the other day. I was watching a movie and then all of a sudden my right side and rear speakers stop working. so i checked the wires and they are all fine so i did what you did and take a working speaker and plug it in to the right side and/or rear spot on the sub and still nothing!!!!!

Crackly Inspire 6.1 speaker

got a really annoying problem with my left front speaker on my 6.1 system as it keeps crackling intermittently but non-stop. It's not the speaker itself that's at fault though as I've replaced it with another of the idential speakers and it crackles just the same. What's more annoying is that I've also replaced the bass speaker that all the wires plug into (I have a spare) and the problem STILL persists... Could it be the sound card itself that's at fault?

hi there blimey, it's been nearly a year since I posted this! ?It was DEFINITELY the sound card that was at fault and the problem eventually spread to all the speakers... I put up with it for as long as I could but the last straw was when I tried to do some recording into the card and it was adding pops and crackles to that too! I got a new card off Ebay a couple of months ago - it was the card on its own with no box or anything and it cost me 20 quid and has worked like a dream! I had to reload all the drivers from scratch but that was a piece of cake. Good luck!

Inspire 2.1 speaker compatibility

I currently have inspire 2.1 speakers (don't remember the model number off hand, but have that info around somewhere). I'm thinking about upgrading to Inspire 7.1 speakers, but noticed that only the center and mains have a mid and tweeter. Are my current speakers compatible with the 7.1 system? In other words, can I substitute my 2.1 speakers for a pair of the 7.1 speakers lacking the tweeters? That way at least 5/7 of the speakers would have a dedicated mid and tweeter.

The speaker system is designed to work as a whole system. It's not advisable to interchange the speaker between different model as it might damage the speaker.

Inspire t3000 left speaker port not working

My Creative 2.1 speaker system have strange problem. The left port does not respond. I interchanged the speakers so I'm sure the speakers are working fine its the port that is causing problem. Has anyone came across similar situation and able to solve it's

I've got the same problem. It's been happening to me sporadically for the last month or so. And it's always the same port- the left one. I don't think I'm using anything "high-voltage," either- just a 4G flash drive or a mouse.
Hopefully someone knows what's going on with this.

Who replaced your speaker? If you have had the device worked on by a 3rd party repair shop, then you will need to go back there to see about help. If you are willing, you can try this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1631, but as far as out of warranty work, since the phone has been opened, Apple won't touch it.

IPhone service (specifically speaker replacement)

So my beloved iPhone has developed a bit of a problem. The earpiece (i.e. non-speakerphone speaker) has developed a bit of a crackle. It's not too bad yet, but if I know my consumer electronics, it's not gonna get better...
Long story short, I'm looking for a good (preferably cheap) way to get out-of-warranty service for the phone. I could pay Apple the $199 fee and get a refurbished one -- but I'm loath to do that for such a simple repair.
Therefore, I was wondering if anyone knows of:
A way to get out-of-warranty service for < $199?

A good third party repair company (mail order service is fine) that can replace the speaker?

SB Audigy 2 (not ZS) + Inspire T7700 (1 Speaker not working)

I have just bought a the Inspire T7700 for my my normal SB Audigy 2.
I know that the normal SB Audigy 2 just supports 6.1, right?I have plugged in the subwoofer and the speakers as shown in the quick manual. Then i have connected the 3 cables in the first three holes of my SB Audigy 2. The jumper on the subwoofer is set to 6.1->7.1 I'm using Win XP Home (SP2) and already have installed the newest Audigy 2 Driver. In the the Creative Driver i have chosen 6.1 Profile and Windows has automatically choosen a 7.1 Profile in it'ss own "Sound Settings".(I have already checked, but WIndows has no own 6.1 Profile, only 7.1!)If i now start playing sound the rear left + rear right + side right speaker doesn?t work!If i change change the jumper on the subwoofer (uppest position, think that was 5.1-7.1) and now all speakers work, except one, the front right one!But if i make a "channel test" with the Creative Driver software the channels are completely mixed up.All speakers seems to be positioned wrong!So what did i do wrong?Can't i use all speakers with my normal SB Audigy 2?Is 6.1->7.1 the wrong jumper setting on the subwoofer although it should be the right one (-> manual) for my soundcard?But why do 3 speakers not work then?Hope somebody can help me.

Since all speakers seem to work, except one if i choose the uppest switch on the subwoofer (think that is "direct", right?)i decided to change the position of the three cables that connect to my SB Audigy 2, because another problem of this situation is, (as i already mentioned above) that all speakers seem to be placed wrong when doing the "Channel test"!After changing the cable?s position in the Audigy 2 quite often i suddenly found a position, where all speakers work (CMSS "on") AND at least the speakers (front right, center, front left, side left, side right)are placed correctly when doing the "Channel-test". I don't know why but if i try to calibrate the speakers in the Creative-Software and click on the speaker that i hear the sound coming from there are some speakers, that always make a noise together with another speaker. In summary, i can't calibrate all the boxes, because some always ound together with another one and some other speakers didn't even makes any noise!Doesn anyone know this problem?

Creative Inspire T5400 Center Speaker Problem

I use the Audigy Platimum Sound Card with Audigy drive with Inspire T5400 speakers. Ever since i got the speakers I have noticed either the center speaker plays so quiet its almost not hearable or it doesn't play at all. This happens for music alot. I checked all the hookups and I got the AudioHQ and Windows set for 5.1 surround speakers. What is the problem?

You will need to enable CMSS though Playcenter for the Audigy. Launch playcenter and put it in player mode (not jukebox mode) on the right hand side there is a button that expands out the player to display a number pad. At the bottom of the numbers there is a button marked CMSS, set it to on or movie mode and it should give you what you want.

Inspire p5800 - center speaker doesnt work

hi there...
i got a little problem... i have SB audigy 2 and inspire p5800...
I set i up and the center speaker doesnt work at all.. no madder what i do.. i can hear the center speaker snear or something.. but i cant hear any music from it at all...
If i try calibrate the 5.1 the center speaker makes sound like it was the subwoofer... any solution for this? i checked the cables and they are in the right places..

Hm, that is certainly odd......make sure the jack that goes from the subwoofer to your sound card is in the correct spot.
Not sure but you may have 3 wires going to your soundcard - refer to the user manual for the correct order.
If you are using digital - well then - I don't have a clue unless you hooked that digital cable to the wrong place on the soundcard as well.
