Inspire T3000 Problem

Hello, I am the owner of a Inspire T3000 speaker system with two speakers, etc.
(If there is any other information you'd like to know, just ask)
My speakers were working fine, until one day, I took my microphone, and plugged it into the Volume Control unit. I didn't notice that I had accidently plugged the Microphone into a Headphone slot.
The speakers suddenly stopped working. Even when I removed the microphone from the slot, it still didn't work.
And ever since it had failed to work.
Any ideas?

First of all this isn't a customer support forum, this is for user to user interaction with Creative Labs moderators.
The T3000s are analogue speakers which don't need drivers. Your computer's soundcard/motherboard integrated audio needs drivers for sound.

Inspire T3000 - Speaker Wire Broke

Ok, you can laugh all you want, but I doubt this is the first time something like this has happened.
I bought my Inspire T3000's on 2/7 and I'm very pleased with them. However, my cat chewed through one of the speaker wires and I'm interested in purchasing a single T3000 speaker to replace it. How should I go about doing this? I did not find any way to purchase spare or replacement parts via the creative website, but I am sure there is a way they can accommodate me.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Okay I will not lye I did laugh lol because I know cats love to chew on our technology but if you did not want to wait for the replacement wire just fix it yourself and I will walk ya through that below.
First cut the 2 ends nice and even the peel each side of the wire back so you can peel there coating off now one will be Black and the other Red on both ends of the cut in half wire one will be positive + Red or White and the other will be Negative - Black just cut the other end of that broken wire like you did one side then match the colors togeather like a puzzle then twist the wires togeather then if you want I preferr solider but if you can't get ahold of this the electrical tape will do just tape the wires up so they can't touch eatch other and when your done they will work fine and withstand minors pulls and tags but not cats

Creative Inspire T900 problem, just 2 front speakers work when connect to a laptop

Hi everybody,
I have just bought a Creative Inspire T7900 system, it's in good quality I think.
But I just got a laptop without 5.1/6.1 or 7/ sound card ( one output only ), therefore i cannot use the 7.1 Audio Cable.
I tried to use a stereo-to-stereo cable to connect my laptop to the input in the wired remote but only the front satellite speakers work. Is that a problem with the Wired Remote ? Or the problem with the system ?
Can I laptop use all the speakers ?
Please help me, thank you very much.

There isn't any problem with the speaker system nor your laptop and it's normal. Stereo consists of only 2 channel and that's why you are experiencing output from only the two front speaker. You won't be able to utilize the full capability of the speaker if you don't have a 7.1 capable soundcard.

Some INSPIRE P5800 Problems

Hi, everyone, first time poster.
I have had Creative Inspire P5800 5.1 speakers for a couple of months now, which I run with Realtek AC'97 (onboard sound). However, there are two specific surround sound related problems that are bugging me.
1. Windows XP sounds are only played in the two front speakers, but not in any of the rear speakers, center speaker, or subwoofer.
2. This may not be the best place to ask this, but I use InterVideo WinDVD 6 Platinum to view DVDs. Since I want to configure it for surround sound, I change the player from a 2 channel configuration to the 6 channel configuration. However, the program is unable to detect my surround speakers, and therefore simply duplicates the front stereo for the rear speakers. The subwoofer doesn't seem to function.
My drivers are up to date and my Sounds and Audio Devices (Control Panel) is configured to my 5.1 system. Any ideas for why this is happening? Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Stereo are 2 channel only so it's normal that you obtain left and right output only. Depending on the features of the onboard audio, it may have upmixing feature to mix stereo to multiple output for a surround effect. Best to checkup with them the correct setting for the audio card.

Creative 6.1 Inspire 6700 - Problem with the volume (amplifier unit / plate)

Hello everybody!
I have bought a Creative Inspire 6.1 6700 on January of 2004 and yesterday I found out that the amplifier unit (which is on the back side of the sub) is malfunctioning.
Actually when I try to turn on the volume from the wired remote control the sound is heavily distorted and the green led is very dim (not bright like it used to be).
The power adapter is good, the fuse inside the amplifier plate is good, so it must be something within the amplifier unit / plate.
Can anyone throw some light into this? Do you know if I can buy from somewhere, just the amplifier plate?

Just look at the plate from the bottom side. Probably you will see some spot or region of yellow color (burnt out).

HELP!!! Inspire T5900 problem

Hi guys! I have a Inspire T5900 connected to my Sound Blaster Audigy 4 soundcard. The problem is, when I test my speakers in the THX software console, the rear left speaker's sound seem to be coming from the subwoofer. Whenever I reinstall or repair the drivers, it works for a short time but then after a while, the rear left sound comes from the subwoofer and rear left speaker itself stops working. Any idea what's wrong? Driver issue or its the subwoofer's problem?

I just realized it has something to do with the connection of the control switch (that turns on the power and allow connection of headphones and aux) to the subwoofer. It seems if I pull it out and reconnect, the rear left speakers work temporarily. I'm guessing, the moment the connection gets physically affected, it switches the rear speakers the to the subwoofer. Any ideas whats going on?

Inspire T3100, problem with crackling.

I picked up a pair of Inspire T3100 speakers from PCWorld today as they were on sale and I can't pass up a bargain. I have a problem however, when I booted up a movie using Windows Media player sometimes the speakers would crackle, at one point the crackling was so violent I had to pause the movie. The crackling isn't constant and isn't happening when listening to MP3s.
I have the sub under the desk by my feet and I have the 2 speakers as far apart as my top PC shelf will allow. I'm running the speakers with a Creative SB Live! 5.1 external sound card which is placed above my tower on a shelf.
Any help would be great, thanks.

Inspire 5200 problems

I have an Inspire 5200/Audigy 2 ZS combination that has worked fine for a couple of years (the speaker system has worked fine since I bought it in '02). However, after having updated the audigy drivers, I noticed (during a speaker test) that the left/right front speakers are at a normal volume, and the center/left and right rear speakers are very faint--so faint, in fact, I thought they were not working until I cranked up the volume. I've removed the drivers and reinstalled them, made sure that all physical connections were fine. I've checked volume settings and ensured that 5.1 setup was in the control panel. I can't find the Creative utility, though, that allowed me to change the volume levels for each individual speaker. What do I do now? Thanks.

Is related to sound card or....,i mean sound card...is ok ; however , something is wrong about entries of the speakers. Before i formatted my pc ,i had decided to take off some speakers. Then i tried to use them again but there was no sound coming from 3 of the speakers.After that i tought format would fix it but it did not work although i set everything properly. Today i format my pc again...and i noticed that the working-2-entry of the speakers are not working and the other non-working-2 entry of speakers are working (there is no problem related to speakers,they are all fine). I really do not know what to do. One more thing,when i take off the centre subwoofer's cable, the centre speaker and left and right speakers are working but when i put on centre subwoofer's cable 3 of the speaker including centre speaker are not working and the other 2 of the speaker are working.Could anyone tell me how to fix this problem? If you have no idea ..can you tell me how can i get the CD which is given with this product or there is sound control program (which is in the CD) i barely remember..''soundmax...'' or something else..Does anyone know how can i get that program? Inspire t6060 problems

Hi, i have been encountering this problem with inspire t6060 for quite some time.. its has been getting worse recently. the sound automatically goes loud and soft and vice versa. i can`t even watch a dvd without getting irritated lol.. is there any way i can make do without the volume remote or is there any place where i can purchase only the volume remote.. tried taking out the remote but the speaker doesnt work.. any one got the same problem please give me some advice? maybe its time to change the speaker system and the brand of cos lol..

Inspire t3000 left speaker port not working

My Creative 2.1 speaker system have strange problem. The left port does not respond. I interchanged the speakers so I'm sure the speakers are working fine its the port that is causing problem. Has anyone came across similar situation and able to solve it's

I've got the same problem. It's been happening to me sporadically for the last month or so. And it's always the same port- the left one. I don't think I'm using anything "high-voltage," either- just a 4G flash drive or a mouse.
Hopefully someone knows what's going on with this.

Creative Inspire T3000 2.1 System

I purchase the system in Feb/05 for my desktop computer. I am very happy with it. I now have a Toshiba Laptop and want to know if I can change it over. I loaded the original CD Sound Blaster that came with the speakers, but am not sure where to go from there. I have Vista Home Premium OS and don't want to create more problems then I need, so first step is whether or not the system can be changed over. Any help would be appreciated.

.....no, Windows Media plays and my Cd's play but no sound comes out when plugged in and turned on. When I unplug it, the sound comes out the laptop speakers. They are harman/kardon speakers and as soon as I plug the Creative speakers in, the laptop speakers go off.

Inspire 6700 problem

hi there i've recently bought a set of 6700 6.1 creative speakers. I also bought a soundblaster live 24 bit card to go with it. Now i've installed everything correctly and all the wireds are plugged in right,i've doubled checked all of this.
Im getting a problem though, when i play music or anything sound is only coming out of the front 2 speakers, i've done a channel test and i get a responce from each speaker fine. So this means the speakers are plugged in fine. Also the setup in the surround mixer is set to 6.1 . I cant figure out what the problem is, any ideas.

Inspire 5300 problems

My friend and I are trying to fix his volume controller. He broke the middle
black prong in the connector. We knew that the connector was the same as a
ps/2 keyboard, so we cut the end off one and off the volume controller. The
problem is that we forgot to check which wires go where on the controller and
the keyboard has different color wires. if anyone can tell us where to get a
new controller or if anyone has a wiring schematic for the controller would be
very helpful.

Same problem for me for about a year and no one can give me any help. Still waiting for the same if i found anything i'll post it.
I've even asked if the guys from creative could give any kind of help for the connections and off course they told me that they couldn't help. If they can't help who can?

HELP IF U CAN PLEASE inspire t7900 problems

I have just bought the system and only appear to be able to get 5.1 sound out of it! I have auidgy zs sound card. But wires that came with speakers shown as 4 in to base speaker and 3 in to sound card i have 4 to plug into sound card and a bonus grey so 4 at each end of the lead and with or with grey plugged in i have 5.1 !! and it set on system to be 7.1 on tests just misses goes quiet when 2 side speakers are ment to opperate. I have no where for grey lead! spaces left in spound card are mic in line in digtal out. Any ideas anyone does every one else have same lead or 4 into 3 lead and is this whats lost me??

Doesn't the speaker comes with the correct cable? 4-3 audio cable? If not, you will need to check with their customer support and see if they have those available for sales.

Then what you will want to do is contact support directly and tell them what you have found about the speakers (front speaker out not working properly). They should arrange an RMA with you so you can send it in for repair/replacement. Here are their contact pages:
