It put a shortcut on my desktop that is listed as continue Installation. It wont let me delete it.

You should also do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br>
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br>
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You should check Firefox's installed add-ons and uninstall anything from Firefox ([[Image:new fx menu]] > Add-ons)<br>

  • When I download Firefox, the icon had a white diagonal cross across it and won't load. It says my system won't support it. I have Mac OS 10.4.11

    I tried to upgrade to Firefox 4. It won't run, and I don't know how to get an older version back.

    Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
    If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • Today my app tabs stopped loading when I open firefox.

    I don't have the option to forget my history on, and I've tried with "remember my tabs and windows" and it doesn't work either...

    I assume from what you wrote that you are not in Private Browsing mode and that you do not clear the browsing history when you close Firefox as those are the main causes for not restoring the previous session.<br />
    Try to use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
    Is Firefox creating a sessionstore.js file in the Firefox Profile Folder?
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js
    It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

    Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • Updater seemed to fail. Firefox will not load any longer. Tried uninstalling, but cannot successfully download Firefox

    Have used Firefox for several years. Latest update came automatically. First I got message that updater failed. Now Firefox refuses to load. I uninstalled and tried to download again. Still failure.

    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

  • When trying to load a website on Firefox 3.6.2 I get a Nukedotnet error. When I load from Internet Explorer, it runs fine. Please help.

  • Trying to load a secure website, firefox says "Secure Connection Failed: Peer's certificate has an invalid signature."

    I need to get on this website, which only allows Firefox and Safari for Mac OSX, but since I upgraded to the latest Firefox update, this is the message I get:
    Secure Connection Failed
    An error occurred during a connection to teleserve.dlt.ri.gov.
    Peer's certificate has an invalid signature.
    (Error code: sec_error_bad_signature)
    Help!

    The site doesn't seem to be sending the correct intermediate certificate.
    You can install this VeriSign intermediate certificate that works for me.

  • Applet can't load when using Mozilla Firefox and IE Tab

    I have a page that includes an applet
    I must include page within the IE Tab rules for auto procces because of design aspects
    When the page loads, Firefox tells: load: class XXXXX not found
    This very same page does not fail to load applet if not included in IE Tab Rules
    I tried the latest versions of Firefox (3.0beta) and IE Tab(1.5)
    It appears to be a Mozilla Firefox problem
    But, any way, any idea?

    I just discover Mozilla Firefox does not work with deprecated Applet tags.
    I must use Object tags.
    Since Netscape and Safari does not acept properly Object tags, i decide to use a javascript to switch between both methods.
    Here a sample:
    <%
    CARPETA = Request.Form("UltimoArchivoCarpeta")
    ArchivoProcesar = Request.Form("UltimoArchivoArchivo")
    ArchivoProcesar = CARPETA & ArchivoProcesar
    ArchivoProcesar = replace(ArchivoProcesar,"\","\\")
    URLACTUAL = Request.ServerVariables("SERVER_NAME")
    URLACTUAL = "http://" & URLACTUAL
    %>
    <script language="javascript">
    var _app = navigator.appName;
    if (_app == 'Microsoft Internet Explorer') {
    document.write('<OBJECT ',

  • I have pinned google reader as an app, but it does not load when I restart firefox beta 8. Any ideas?

    I use google reader (www.google.com./reader) and thought I would use the pin as app feature. I right click the tab and select pin as app. The tab shrinks and looks like it has done this but when I close and restart Firefox the pinned tab is not there.

    I am having this problem with all app tabs I have tried creating: hotmail, facebook, linkedin.

  • I can pin three or four websites that load when I open Firefox, but I do not want a homepage to open full. Can I just have pinned sites open? At this point it looks like I must have homepage. Can a homepage be pinned?

    I have three or four sites that I want pinned when my browser opens. And would like only those to open pinned and not have another tab (homepage) open.
    Or if something has to open I'd like to choose one of my pinned sites to be focused on but still pinned.[http://www.dougsstuff.com/tabs.PNG link text]

    Thank you for trying the new Firefox. I'm sorry that you’re unhappy with the new design.
    I understand your frustration and surprise at the removal of these features but I can't undo these changes. I'm just a support volunteer and I do not work for Mozilla. But you can send any feedback about these changes to http://input.mozilla.org/feedback. Firefox developers collect data submitted through there then present it at the weekly Firefox meeting
    I recommend you try to adjust to 29 and see if you can't make it work for you before you downgrade to a less secure and soon outdated version of Firefox.
    Here are a few suggestions for restoring the old design. I hope you’ll find one that works for you:

  • Flickr will no longer operate properly w/ Firefox - even when I downloaded Firefox 4 and tried it. It won't let me add my photos to my groups anymore. It worked great for me for several months, then just stopped.

    When I try to move some of my photos that I have in Flickr, into a group on Flickr that I belong to, I am no longer able to move them into the group when using Firefox. I have to use Safari and then I'm able to move the photos just fine. I used to be able to do this using Firefox, but about 4-5 weeks ago, it stopped allowing me to do this. I updated to Firefox 4 this past weekend, hoping that would fix it, it didn't.

    hi Bern
    Firstly welcome to Crowd Support
    The Australian Communications Industry Forum (ACIF) Credit Management code states that Telstra must perform s credit assessment when a customer is applying to us for credit.
    For our Credit Assessments to be passed there are many factors of information considered to determine if the Credit Assessment is satisfied.
    There are many reasons why a Credit application may be declined, and one of the most common is due to the new Customer not having any previous history with Telstra.
    While this may be frustrating for you, in the circumstance of a Mobile Phone contract being involved, we really do need to be sure that we have the correct billing information, up to date contact details and also viability to pay bills on time.
    There is a process where this decline decision can be disputed, and I would be more than happy to lodge this dispute for you if you could provide me with some information.
    I will send you a PM so that we can work together offline to lodge this dispute.

  • I'm running windows 2000, how do I disable the firefox plugin update page from automatically loading when I open firefox

    because of my operating system I cant update all of the suggested plugin updates

    You may want to disable this option.
    * '''Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page''': When this preference is enabled, Firefox will prevent websites from redirecting you to another page, or automatically reloading.
    It can be found here:
    * [[Options window - Advanced panel#w_accessibility]].

  • My home page will not load when I open Firefox but features show up in column on left and bookmarks are there.

    My home page opens with features in a column on the left and bookmarks are available but the center section (features) is blank. Home page with features appeared at first opening of FF, then would not open normally after opening a feature but would not open normally when going back to home page. No not at all.

    This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

  • Why cannot I have my personal page load when I open Firefox

    On Safari, my home page opens when I log on, and I can read my email. I would rather use Firefox, but I get my ISP's Generic home page, and have to supply my Screen name and password every time I log on, which is a nuisance.
    Can this be corrected ?

    Check the Home page setting.
