Instagram and fruit ninja for asha 311

so unfair that only symbian s60 smartphones can have fruit ninja game.
Why not add instagram app (or even a client app) for asha 311?

I think it could've worked well but its just the lack of developer interest being there are not many java touch phones out here. Better go with symbian or Windows Phone

    hey guys give so many kudus to satyam's and my post becaz i am also want so many improvements in asha 311,
    we can't use this phone in night due to its high brightness,
    there is no dictionary function as nokia has give it to nokia asha 308, 
    there is no copy past option , 
    this mobile is not support to applications which are support to a smartphone such like viber, shazam,etc
    i am a student not only me there are so many users of s40 are students there for we want applications
    which are useful and not useless there so many application in s40 which are useless,
    we want s40 should support such applictions which supports to a smartphone not a simple phone , 
    if in next update this things are not improved i will sell my asha 311 and i will brought an android phone ,
    if nokia will not improud this things its mean nokia is a fake marketer ,
    guys are you agreeid with me so give me many kudus and make our mobile smartphone ,

    best to check with Viber (publisher of the application) as they determine which phone model their app will be compatible with and where will it be available for download. For Nokia phones, applications are made available through Nokia Store. You may contact them here: http://helpme.viber.com/

    Is there any internet speed test app for Asha 311? I tried the speed test from http://bsnlspeedtest.in but the result was very high. I have Airtel 3G and it always shows 3.5G.

    If you want to check the max speed of your phone internet there are two methods.
    1.
    Check the speed in kbps while downloading any file using UC browser. Get UC browser from Nokia store or via www.ucweb.com
    2.
    Connect your phone as a modem to your pc and use any pc web browser and check the speed at http://speedtest.net or any other sites.

    At present, the twitter for nokia app 1.2 supports push notifications..  check the settings in push notification app...

    A new SW update for Asha 311 is currently being rolled out: version 5.92. Some of the consumers are already able to get the update, the rest should follow soon. The update is currently also only available via Nokia Suite, and not via FOTA yet. I will be posting an update here when there is further development on this topic.
    Key changes compared to the previous 3.90 SW update include:
    * Improved touch screen performance
    * Improvements to device memory handling
    * Improvements to application data connections
    * Improved keylock functionality
    * A warning is now given when the volume is too loud

    Hey armagon, i have updated my asha 311 to 5.92 but there is still no copy-paste option, why?
    I also noticed that the cancel button below Select Internet Connection popup doesn't work, it never clicks. I have attached screenshots of the phone so that you could see what i mean.

  • Do I have to buy the new Fruits Ninja HD when I already bought Fruit Ninja, for it to work on my iPad Mini??

    I bought Fruits Ninja a while ago and it said it was for iPods, iPhones, iPads but I didn't have one and it was for my iPod touch. I got a mini iPad and I have noticed that its under the iPhone/iPod catergory. I will be sad if I have to download the HD which I have no clue what is different to play it on my new iPad when I already got the game. Will it work on my iPad mini or do I have to get the HD version?

    You can use the iPhone / iPod touch version on your iPad and just press the 2x button to expand it to fit the larger screen.
    The alternative HD version has been optimised by the games developers to perfectly fit the larger iPad screen without doubling the pixels and they have chosen to charge for this HD version separately to the standard iPhone version. Some developers choose to charge, some include the iPad version in with the iPhone version at no extra charge.

    I have ben trying to find a soft clear cover (or any cover for that matter) for the ASha 311 phone. I have been to many phone shops/ kiosks and searched the Nokia website for accessories but there doesn't seem to be a cover specific to the model. Can anyone recommend a cover of another phone brand/ model that may fit?

    i've tried to connect bluetooth device bh-105 ...i have tried every way i know but it cannot see the bluetooth audio device(bh-105) in every way ...is there any bluetooth audio device supported by asha 311?

    Don't think that BH-105 supports A2DP profile for streaming music.
    Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

    we as users of the asha 311 are very disappointed in this device given its capability of being able to accommodate very powerful quality apps like skype shazam amongst others. the nokia engineers should be able to fix such additions.....and also features such as video call..copy paste options..screen lock pattern instead of the common number keyguard lock...this phone can be the dopest of all if such additions are considered

    Btw. regarding VoIP calls - it's seems that Asha 311 should support Nokia VoIP natively (http://www.nokia.com/global/products/phone/asha311/specifications -> VoIP calling mentioned), so there would not be necessarily a need to install additional app (like Skype).
    but I can try check/verify how that works in practice.

    5.92 is currently the latest SW version for Asha 311 (and it should be available to most customers). There will be eventually further SW releases for the device, and when those are available, I will be posting about them here. Can't comment anything more specific at this time. 
    The update availability topic is a tricky one. There can be hundreds of SW variants per product usually and creating/testing/approving/publishing those requires many steps. That is the main reason why you may see some of the users getting the update sooner than others - operator variants are often the most tricky ones. We are looking into improving the process as we can.
