Instagram Photo Home Printing Guide

Hi all,
The attached PDF's are brief guides to printing Instagram photos using the following:
HP Photosmart Essentials & Photo Creations software.
e-Print & Air Print on IOS Apple mobile devices
I've had trouble printing Instagram photos in the past using other software as the photos were often missing parts of the frame or photo itself.
The attached guides are how I got around this problem - I'm now able to print Instagram photos in the full.
Hope this is of some help to others with a similar problem.

Thanks, Donal.
In the HP Photo Creations directions, notice that the software automatically added a shadow to the image. If you want to turn off the shadow, select the Design tools, then Photo Borders, then hold down the Shift key and click the first preset. (Holding Shift applies the border preset to all photos on the page.)
To make the photo go all the way to the edge of the page, click the green gear on the photo and select Make Photo Full Page from the drop-down menu.

  • How can I resize photos to print at home?

I am trying to print photos to card in my home printer. I cannot find a way to resize the photo so all of it fits within a frame on an A4 sheet. Whatever I try I end up with just a section (central) of the original.

select the photo and crop to the desired size and print - select the printer, papers size and print size and print - select any printer specific options and print to print it
The general answer to printing multiple photos on a page is to select the photo(s) and crop to the desired print size - print and select the printer, print size (all must be the same) and paper (do the math and be sure they will fit and a reasonable border between them) and click customize - in the settings select multiple photos per page - and print , select any printer specific options and print to actualy print

  • Centering photos when printing

How can I get photos to print centered on photo paper when using borders?  I always end up with a large area on either the right or the bottom, no matter what I do.  They print this way even if they show fine in Preview.  Very puzzled.  Thanks.

Check your paper feed that the paper guides are tight, for the best alignment. Unless you have a borderless printer, there will always be one edge where the gripper grabs the paper where you cannot print as far up to the edge.
Ifyou do have a borderlss printer, you might want to turn on borderless printing as in the last screen shots of this post.

  • Horizontal lines appear in photos when printed

I am having a problem with printing photos in an indesign document.  When the photos, jpeg files, are placed in the document and printed, there are faint black lines running horizontally across the photos at one-half inch increments.  These lines only run across the photos, not the rest of the document, and they do not appear when the photos are printed separate, i.e. not in an indesign document.  What can be causing this?  Is there some guide that I have accidentally turned on that could be causing this?
Thanks for any help on this matter.

The operating system is OS X.  The InDesign version is CS1 (educational version).  I don't know what it means for InDesign to be fully patched.  The printer is very basic, 2010 HP Photosmart Plus.  I do not believe it has a dragt mode (though I'm not quite sure what this is).
By fully patched I mean have you dowwloaded and installed the 3.0.1 update. Many, if not most, injet printers have a "draft" or "ink saver" setting in the print driver that uses less ink to save you money, and that can cause lines.

  • Selecting more than one photo to print at a time

Im using a Dell laptop, 2GB, Windows XP PROF, Epson Stylus Photo RX620.

Keep the Ctrl key pressed while you click on the images that you have to select.

  • How can I print from work to my APEn USB home printer?

    Hello all,
01--I just bought my first AirPort Extreme(n) router and wanted to configure my home network so that I can print over the internet from work.
02--I’ve already enabled the “AirPort Utility” > “Settings” > “Printers” > “Share printers over Ethernet WAN port” option.
    03--My work computer is a 1.5 ghz 12” PowerBook G4 running 10.4.10.
My home printer is a Brother HL 2040.
03-- I am able to print wirelessly whilst on my own home network.
04--I’ve already tried unsuccessfully to use the following settings: “Printer Setup Utility” > “Printers” > “Add Printer...” > “IP Printer” > “Internet Printing Protocol - IPP” > “Address = My Home’s Internet Connection IP". However, I keep getting the never ending message the status Network host ‘IP address’ is busy; will try in 30 seconds...
05-- I’ve already noticed some unanswered posts by other users. http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4592342

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can. Inorder to print directly from your computer at work you would have to have access to your wireless system from that computer. The only other thing I can think of is through file sharing but then again it seems like you have to have some method of accessing one of your computers at home via the internet.
A very primative way of printing would be to send yourself an email with an attachment of whatever you wanted to print. Open the email when you get home and print the attachment.
I know that's probably not what you wanted to hear.
If there is a way there are some pretty sharp guys on the discussion forum and I am sure one of the will answer.

  • HP C6380 photo tray prints only green

The problem started when I installed my new computer with Windows 7. The photo tray prints only in green. I tried to print from the photo tray from various programs with the same result, so the printer must be the problem. I downloaded and installed the 2009-10-20 software and driver version 13.1.0 which did not correct the problem. I also ran the HP printer problem detection tool and got no help there. Please help me. I use this feature often. By the way, I posted this same question a short time again and it has disappeared. Thanks for any help you can give me.

How can I get my photos to print as they look on iphoto? Have tried my personal printer and Walgreens.

Im not exactly sure what you mean by color profile..can you specify? So i have a dslr canon and take great portraits and tune them to exactly how I want them to look, they dont print at all like the colors presented on my screen. If i antique them then they print yellowish. Ive even tried printing them at walgreens because i thought it was my new printer. Hp hasnt let me doown til now. Is ot a printer setting? Ive never had this kind of printing issue.

  • Getting the photos I print to match what they look like on my screen.

I'm having a hard time getting the photos I print to match what they look like on my screen.  I even bought a monitor calibrator and tried changing  my color settings in Photoshop and it hasn't seemed to help.  The pictures even look different when I pull them up in The ROES program I use to order prints from.  The pictures come out really dull compared to what they look like in Photoshop.  Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

There are a couple of things to note here right away.
To get a good screen to print match the first consideration is the monitor brightness and white point temperature. The goal is a visual match to paper white.
The calibrator will help you set this up. Spend some time to find the right settings, because it will depend on the ambient light and your whole working environment. That includes the Photoshop UI - if you use the now default dark UI, images will appear brighter than in the old light UI.
The second thing to note is that you don't change any Photoshop color settings. The calibration and profiling is all handled automatically, once you found the right settings for white point. Just let the calibration software run through and do its thing, done. The display profile is set up as system default and Photoshop finds it there.
Once you have a correct display of the file, you then need a correctly color managed print pipeline. If both are accurate, they will match.

I had ordered a photo book print two years back. I want to reorder the same book again now. However, I have lost the album project/photos from iphoto.
Is there any way to see my print order history and reorder the same book for print ?

No.  Apple only keeps the pdf file for a book for 30 days.  Without the library and book project you won't be able to reorder the same book.
Even though the horse is out of the barn the following tutorial might be of help for future books, i.e. create a new library for each book): iP08 - Archiving an iPhoto Book for Editing and/or Ordering at a Later Date

  • Using a epson photo 2200 printer wirelessly

I have an Epson stylus Photo 2200 printer hooked up to my airport. When I go to print photo quality pictures and go to setting to pick the paper the Epson tools 4 unexpectedly quits. Thus leaving me with no choices in paper..... when I hard wired the printer with a USB it worked as it should.... is this a common problem with a work around or is this the way life is with this printer?  Thank you for any help.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

I am using a an imac os x vesion 10.8.1. I have been trying to change the printer settings to achieve a photo quality print, but cant seem to get a photo quality result. I have tried resetting the dpi settings in the image size drop down, but this doesn't make any difference.

Please help as I cant get a good result from my printer which is an epson stylus photo r300.
    Thanks for any help.

By default, the photodownloader creates a folder structure named by dates. You can change that behaviour in the Organizer preferences (camera or card reader).
Chances are that what you are seeing is not the files names, but the names of the sub-folders including your files with their original names ?
