Instal problem NVAREM.EXE Win XP

Hi, Im building a new PC and got a FX5200 VT128 and windows XP.
I,m getting a message that the NVAREM exe has a problem and couldn't load.
I tried to install the software with the remote sender in an out?
I tried to uninstall the drivers and instal the remote first.
Still ggot the problem. Can anywan help me ?

I've been having the same problem as everyone else. The problems started when I updated the drivers, first from the Windows Update site, and then from both MSI and nVidia.
I tried the 'seabee solution' but this didn't work for me, although I did get the remote to work by removing nvgpio.dll from system32 folder. I then had tp put up with a 'test' box appearing everytime I booted-up, which said 'Load nvgpio.dll fail' and the 'OK' button. Clicking the 'OK' button twice got rid of it but what else was not going to work?
I finally decided to try a clean install of WinXP Home. So having reformatted and installed WinXP I then put in the 'NVIDIA PERSONAL CINEMA CD version 2.25' and let it go through the full install process. Next I intalled the diplay driver from the MSI Multimedia 'Beyond 3D' CD, and ONLY the display driver (v45.33)
I appear to have everything working now, and have no intention of updating my drivers or anything else.
I hope this helps to cure the problem for some of you.

Install problem: OJ 6550 & Win 7

I have an Officejet 6550. It has the minimal driver that came with Windows 7 (64 bit, on HP computer). It is on a WRED network. I've been treying to install the latest software/drivers (11/13/2009 version). It works ok till the final step. When I get to installing the printer, it locates it on the network, but then gives an "Printer setup has failed to complete" error.
I have rebooted computer and turned printer on and off, each several times, to no avail.
What do I do so I can install and use the scanner, as the basic Win 7 included driver apparently doesn't support the scanner?

BPC Install Problem - amyuniPDF.exe

Hi,
I'm trying to install SAP BPC 7.0 for microsoft. At the beginning of the install, it requires the path to the amyuniPDF.exe file. Where do we get this file? Do we need to buy a 3rd party software?
Samething for the Xceedzip.dll?

Ensure you have selected the software downloads TAB (Section)
Then from the Menu list under SAP Software Distribution Center select SAP Cryptographic Software

Which is not the case.

Un-Attended Install of j2re-1_3_1_01-win.exe

Is ther a way to do an Unattened Install of this EXE, or does the user have to Do it himself ???

Just click the .exe, or choose run ..., or go with settings - control panel - install, whatever your favourite approach. Answer a couple of ok screens ...and let it go. The whole thing is done in about thirty seconds. But your going to have to get a bit more experimental than this if you want to be a coder ...just click that thing and see what happens!!

Anyconnect install problem

We are seeing an install problem with the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client under Windows 7. The installer stalls after a minute or so then reports:
There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.
There has been no other install issue on these machines and we have reinstalled Windows 7 to insure that the Installer is robust.
Please advise.

I am experiencing the same problem, and have tried the following options:
Disabled all HIPS in my local machine and ran the installation with administrator privileges
Tried to install anyconnect-win-3.0.5080-web-deploy-k9.exe from the ASA
Tried to install anyconnect-win-3.0.08057-pre-deploy-k9.msi, because version 3.0.5080 is not available to download from Cisco anymore (version 3.0.08057 is the oldest one that can be downloaded from Cisco)
Tried to install anyconnect-win-3.0.08057-pre-deploy-k9.msi with the NOINSTALLACTIVEX=1 option
Tried to install anyconnect-win-3.0.08057-pre-deploy-k9.msi with the/norestart /quiet /lvx* install-log.txt options
But none of them worked
As a workaround, I manually downloaded anyconnect-win-3.1.04072-pre-deploy-k9.iso from Cisco and the install was successful. However, it seems that not all of the ASAs are configured to allow this version, just older versions
Has anybody found a solution yet?

How do you install iTunes 7 in Win XP

I dont have access to an Admin account on my computer, but want to upgrade my iTunes 6 to 7. I ran the installer in Safe Mode, but it failed when it tried to start the ipodservice... i retried 3-4 times, but it did not work and I had to cancel the installation, but i ended up with an updated Quick Time and iTunes 6.
Does anyone know how to install iTunes 7 in Win XP? I could really use some help.

when i had itunes 6 installed, i disabled/remove the ipodservice b/c i don't have an ipod
when ipod 7 tried to install it removed the old ipodservice but the when it tried to install the new one, it could not b/c it had previously been disabled.
i can't figure it out though...
it has nothing to do with admin priviledges, it just has something to do with having the ipodservice disabled or banned from running on your system
at least, that's what i think happened.

[SOLVED] Installing Eve Online with Wine

However, when I try to run the installer.msi file, the install window appears, but the buttons to continue are greyed out. The only button that is not greyed out is the cancel button, and I am not able to press it. It seems like the installer is frozen. When I try to run wine installer.msi, I get:

when i try to install drivers i get some errors,any driver with other error:

one more problem is in "fn" function,i dont see any fn function in the screen (no wifi,bluetooth,tuchpad,camera....)

finally did it!!!! i had the same problem and now it works!
you first install the driver, and will tell no driver found ..., then go in C:\drivers\Bluetooth Driver (CyberTan, Liteon)\Broadcom\Win64 and execute Inst.exe and let it install all what it needs, don't press anything. if it still not works try install the same exe after activating bt with fn+f5.
win64 is for the one who have 64bit and I think that win32 will work for the one who have 32bit.

Horrendous install problems with DPS

I've had to switch machines, so I reloaded the CS5 Master Collection. InDesign loaded properly, but after installing the Digital Publishing tools and Air, I can no longer do a Folio Preview. Instead I get this message:
an error has occurred while generating folio preview
[ReferenceError: app.exportMiniFolio is not a function]
When I go to install the AdobePatchInstaller.exe file, I receive the following message:
Update is not applicable.
I don't understand how I'm using the exact same machine spec, but now the software won't load....?????
This is frustrating to say the least. I've also followed the instructions here:

But nothing worked.
I'm going to completely uninstall CS5 next, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears and appreciative.

I just unintalled and reinstalled InDesign and the DPS.
I think the problem is that I installed the entire Master Collection on my D drive; which seems to have caused untold problems, lol.
Going to have to stick with the C drive, I guess.

[GeForceFX] Configuring NV Remote (nvarem.exe) to open different programs in Personal Cinema

Hi all,
We have an FX 5200 Personal Cinema card with the NVIDIA Remote Control and the NV remote software installed. Whilst this is OK, it is a little limiting. I wanted to change one of the assignments for the DVR software as we have updated WinDVR 2 to WinDVR 3.
I have trawled through the registry looking for entries that could relate to NV Remote or nvarem.exe but have come up with nothing.
Is there a way of hacking NV Remote to work with the programs I want, or is there other software that would work with the NVIDIA X10 remote control hardware?
On another note, is there better software the Intervideo’s WinDVR to view and record TV programs from the Personal Cinema card work with the NVIDIA remote?

PT880 Neo installing problem

I am trying to install Windows XP, but it can't detect my hard drive. It is a Hitachi 83 Gb SATA drive plugged into serial 1. I know this has been asked many times. I searched the site, and many people say you have to install the SATA drivers during th install by pressing F6 during setup. Some also say if you are using serial 1 or 2, you should not have to install any drivers and Win XP should detect the drive without drivers. The problem is I don't know what/where these drivers are to do this. I have the MSI Drivers and Utilities cd that came with my motherboard, is the drivers on this?
I am totally lost and any help would be great.

Hitachi 83 GB SATA drive

I've had many problems with installing the W2k OS on a system with only SATA 1 installed. I have the PT880 Neo FSR MS-7043. I've read the posts here about the PSU, and my unit only has 16 amps on the +12V output. It is a Coolermaster RS-350-AMSR unit. I have the Intel P4 3.2G E (Prescott).
Anyway, I got all the same problems. Sometimes I get file read errors during the o/s install, other times I can get completely through the installation, only to get the infamous blue screen later on.
I have attempted this install on two identical systems, both have the same problems. I'm not so sure the current requirement on +12v is the answer because that voltage is used mostly for the PATA/SATA drives, floppy drive, and CD/DVD players. Anyway, I'm going to switch out the PSU with one that has at least 22 amps on the +12v as suggested here. The reason I say that is because I was able to build the other identical system and it worked fine until today - getting the **STOP** IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN error.
For your French, I always saw the SATA in the BIOS setup page. Be sure the SATA only has one (1) power connector connected. Most of these drives have the legacy "white" 4 pin receptacle in addition to the SATA new power receptacle, which is "black" and has 5 pins. If you connect both of them, it will damage the drive.
