Instalation EHP3 - ddic_activation

I have : SAP ERP ECC 6.0 SR3 (SP 11)
SAINT/SPAM v 26
History:
1- When I start using SAINT over EHP3 files, they asked me to install a Pre-requisite: SAPK-60100INECCVPACK, then I installed it.
2- Problem of timeout, i changed to rdisp/ ... i forgot the name and put 0
good
now i have this problem, after a long 14 or 20 hours:
-   Error in phase: DDIC_ACTIVATION
-   Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
-   Return code: 0008
-   Error message: OCS Package SAPK-60300INECCVPACK, tp step A,
     return code 0008
How can I solve this question?

There is no changes to BSP applications like 'Enter External applications' in Recruiter role.The only major change
EHP3 is the Search that too you can activate if you want.

1) I have SAP ERP ECC6 SR3, new installation its come with SP11 and SAINT/SPAM v26 ( i think its enough)
2) I have downloded the 51033040_1      SAP Enh. Package 3 for SAP ERP 6.0 1 of 6
3) I extracted to EPS\In
There is anythiing i need to do before?
any installation, any step?
or just next step is "Start" and put the passwords.
i started, but, it ask pre-requisite for ECC-VPACK 601 i dunno why....
because its ask me prerequisits :S, shoud i ignore?? i read notes balbal
its whole confuse.

Error faced during installation of EHP3 on ECC 6.0 (Test Import Error) ?

i am facing an error while installing EHP3 on ECC 6.0
my current level :
SAP_ABA 700 0017
SAP_BASIS 700 0017
SAP_BW 700 0019
SAP_AP 700 0013
all other SAP_APPL , ERECRUIT are on 600 level more then 11
I downloaded the ENH3 FOR ERP6.0 content from market place
I loaded them with SAINT and continued , i removed all other warnings of support package in SAINT by taking appropriate support packages .
Problem: I am getting Test Import errors
1)For EAAPL(60301) ---> error code 08

Yes i have checked the previous SPS levels of these components its 13 and i used 603 SP level 02 of these components for installation as per told by you while defining a installation queue as well as support package selection in SAINT but still am getting the error. In SAINT i even got in remarks filed a message that "extended queue is consistent and matchesthe selected target packages". I am getting "TEST IMPORT ERROR ...."
I am getting return code 08 for components listed below in TEST IMPORT phase :-
1) EA-APL (603 SP level 01)
2) FI-CA (603 SP level 01)
3) ISM (603 SP level 01)
4) EA-DFPS (603 SP level 01 & 02)
Please help me out and suggest something.

Where can I find EHP3 for ECC 6.0 ?
I went to the marketplace and just found EHP2 and guides for installing EHP3 but not the add-on itself.

EhPs sould be downloaded (incl the latest Support Packages) via the Maintenance Optimizer (part of Solution Manager 4.0).

'SAP_APPL,600 has to be installed' when try to install SAP ERP EnHP3

I'm trying to install EHP3 on windows2003/oracle10.2/SAPecc6.0 by tools SPAM & SAINT.
But the system send the message 'Component SAP_APPL,600 has to be installed'
I want download the 2 packages:
"SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP ERP 6.0"
"SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP ERP 6.0"
But I have not find there in the SAP's Portal
I found only:
    SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE
          SAP ENH PACK 3 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
          SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE 2005.2
I have a pack of DVDs 'SAP ERP 6.0 SR3' which contents:
- upgrade master (51033520)
- installation export (51033500) 2 dvd
- ERP components (51033525)
- Upgrade export (51033501) 3 dvd
- Langage (51033496) 2 dvd

Hi,
EHPs are cumulative, you should only install the parts from the latest EHP (=EHP3).
There is no need (and benefit) to install EHP1 or 2.
The download should be done using Solution Manager Maintenance Optimizer (not SMP) - here you get also a valid Stack XML generated which ist required to perform the installation.

EHP3 import with SPAM/SAINT 32 - IMPORT_OBJECT_LIST error

I am trying to import EHP3 for ECC 6.0. We are on Windows 2003 and MS SQL 2005 SP2. Kernel release is 175, tp version is 372.04.40 and R3trans version is 186 (compiled time Nov 23 2008).
During the IMPORT_OBJECT_LIST phase, the precessing stops at random places when I start and restart SAINT. A couple examples:

I have tried to delete the queue and recreate it, stop and start the SAP instance, restarted the server and restarted SAINT several times. It stops at what seems to be random places every time. I am logged on as the <sid>adm user, and have checked that the user has full access to usr\sap\trans\ directories.
I have installed EHP3 for ECC 6.0 before without issues, the difference this time is that I am using SPAM/SAINT version 32, instead of version 30. I have seen the note 1232804 - SPAM/SAINT: TP_FAILURE 0212 in phase IMPORT_OBJECT_LIST, but the error message is not quite the same, and I am on SPAM/SAINT 32.
Has anyone experienced this, or know how it can be fixed?

As you can see, the filename seems to be a bit strange "SAPKK-603DMINEAFINSR V.U01". I would expect the filename to contain a space between R and V.U01. Is this a program error? I have not been able to find any notes on this issue.

Going from EHP3 to EHP4

Experts,
We already have ECC6.0Ehp3. After installing EHp3, we activated 2 business function sets in SFW5 and followed the normal processes to get this moved into the other clients. No problem!
That was many months ago. now, we are ready to do Ehp4 and that is my question.
Knowing that we are already on EhP3 and have already activated business function sets, eg ISU_UTIL_1 / ISU_UTIL_WASTE, etc.
So once we finished the install of EhP4 via the Enhancement Pack installer, will we need to go back to SFW5 and activate business function sets again? We already have all the functionality we need from when we did the SFW5 after EHP3 install, I don't want to activate anything new, but I wonder if that is a requirement when going from one EHP to a new one? If so, how do we keep from overwriting the config we already have?

Thanks again for following up, but I have seen this and fully read the note. Let me be more specific:
Is there any one out there who has applied a previous ECC Enhancement Pack (like EHP3, then activated a business function set in SFW5 (like IS-util), then copied the customization to all clients....and THEN at a later date applied EHP4 ???
If so, after applying EHP4, did you AGAIN have to go into SFW5? If not SFW5, did you have to use SCU0 to find additional features from existing business sets in client 000 and again copy that into the productive clients?
I know what the ambiguous documentation says, but when it comes down to REALLY doing this, I am still not clear. Please don't bother cutting/pasting sections from the tech guide and SAP note I have already referenced in a previous post. I have ready them....
Maybe I'm over-thinking this.....
Also, what if I wanted to activate a complely new business function set? After activating in SFW5, has anyone done this in a way that copies the new functionality in 000 but does not stomp on the previous customization from other activations?

Upgrade HR component after EHP4 upgrade

Recently we did a upgrade from R/3 4.7x110 to ECC 6.0 EHP4 using CUUC method. For EHP4 in the MOPZ we selected some 5 usage types where HCM self services or Self services (XSS) was not selected. Now after the upgrade we hav SAP_HR in release 600 and level 045 and EA_HR is also in same level.
Right now we are trying to configure MSS and found business functions related to HCM are
missing in the backend system also when we tried to customize the Report launch pad we did not get the tab in SPRO. Can we solve this problem by upgrading SAP_HR and EA_HR to 604 release or we should add all the HCM related Technical usage types into the system to get them activated.
Because as per the link below we are not having the correct version for
SAP_HR and EA_HR.

As per EHP terminology, EHP packages are cumulative so when you will donwload all the packages from MOPZ, it will take care of all dependencies and download the file accordingly. Please check below extract from Technical FAQ guide:
We would like to clarify this without using the term "cumulative", as this term could
potentially be ambiguous:
u2013 You can install EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0 in one step on 64-bit platforms without having
installed EHP3 before.
u2013 Every EHP version includes the content of any previous EHP versions. For example,
you cannot install EHP4 without getting the content of EHP3 and EHP2 as well.
u2013 Technically, SAP has started to deliver EHP software packages as delta packages with
EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0. Thus, your EHP4 installation queue will contain EHP4 and
EHP3 packages if you have not already installed EHP3. However, all these packages
should be installed in one step on 64-bit platforms.

SAP-BW. 7.30 Differentiators and Upgrade

We are in the process of consider upgrade of our present BI-7.0 (EhP1) to the latest BW 7.30 version,I was able to read a document released by SAP on BW7.3 in the month of April this year and also read all the blogs related to 7.3 , but I would like to understand the impact or benefits our company will get when we upgrade our BW system to latest version in detail So
I would like to know
1)BW 7.3 differentiators
a) What additional features are being added? ( I know a new function called Dataflow Generation wizard , and changes in the
      Infopackage for automatic Init loads , and semantic partions of DSO and Cubes are added, But would like to what are other
       features or changes which are added ?)
b)How BO integration works with BW 7.3?( As the document says , it will easy to integerate BOE , may you please detail me how
    and why the integeration is simplified , and how the integeration of Crystal report server or Xeclius tool will work , Is Cystal
   Report server or Xeclius provided as a default Add on to the new SAP Netweaver BW7,3 server, or will we have to maintain
them seperately on different machines/servers?)
c)What are the front-end tools for BW 7.3? ( are any new front end tools added, will our BEx Query designer or explorer are still
    supported with 7.3?)
2. Upgrade options/considerations
     a)How to upgrade to BW 7.3?( presently we are SAP netweaver 2004s 7.0 and recently installed EhP1 , so for BW7.3 we
         need to install EhP3 or do we need to change for present server
      b)Prerequisites to the Upgrade( Any hard ware limitation, or any server specifications or any mandatory things like BWA?)
      c)What are the minimum H/W and Front-end requirements?
3. Compatibility
    a)What are the ECC, CRM, SRM,.... versions that BW 7.3 will be compatible?
    b)How does the BEx reports will work on BW 7.3?
    c)Is WAD supported on BW 7.3?
    d)Will Admin Cockpit works on BW 7.3?
    e)Are BW security roles work on BW 7.3?

Error when activating Datasource in Source System

Dear All,
I am gettting this error when activating data source in source system(RSA5).
1)DataSource 0NETWORK_CUST_ATTR; switch to package PS_IS_EHP3_SFWS_SC is off.
2) The extract structure DTTV_REC_53 of the DataSource 0TV_REC_531 is invalid
Message no. R8444
Diagnosis
An invalid extract structure has been assigned to the DataSource. An extract structure has to be active in the DDIC. It cannot be a view, since the customer is not able to add append fields for filling in the customer exits to a view.

Profit center characterstic in AR & AP reports.

We have activated / Installed EhP3 for our Financial's (New G/L). We are
now installing Reporting Financial's (EhP3) in BW. For G/L extractors we
can see profit center in G/L for e.g. 0FIGL_20, 0FIGL_40, 0FIGL_50,
however for AP & AR extractors we don't have profit center in EhP3. In
ECC we have reports S_AC0_52000887 & S_AC0_52000888, where AR & AP can
be reported by Profit center.
Can any one please advice how we can report by profit center for AR & AP in BW? is it available in EhP4 ? I don't see any documentation regarding EhP4 reporting financials on help.sap.com - it gives me page can't be displayed.

Business content implementation timeline

Hello folks,
Trying to get an idea of timeline to plan for implementing standard business content for the new G/L functionality and Asset accounting. Assume a brand new SAP BI install EHP3 and no customization. Will appreciate any guidelines to consider for this.

No customization? Standard guidance is that business content only gets you 10-20% of the way....
Also still many variables...performance optimization...for instance do you use FI_GL_10 or FI_GL_12...same content but different method of delta extraction and big concern depending on requirements....Also do you plan to convert business content to follow current best practice? LSA/EDW approach? Or leave it in 3.x format? Queries? Implementation of MultiProviders? Time to design security roles and validate? Bex web or simply analyzer? Are you wanting to know end to end time for no customization and integration testing with users, and time to go-live? Or just straight content activation time in development only?
The straight up content activation time with no customization, testing, etc. is the smallest part of the project, but is still significant depending on which InfoProviders you choose, etc.
You can stand it up in a couple of weeks...but you'll spend months making it useful.

Installation EHP (1+2+3) 4 and Installation NW EHP1

We have to install all EHP (1-4) for our ERP 6.0 (SPS9), and as well the EHP 1 for NW.
We have all DVDs available (EHP4 READY, etc.)
Have I install first the EHP 3 via SPAM/SAINT, and then the EHP4 with the EHPi ?
Or can I start the installation with the DVD "EHP4 / EHP1NW Upgrade Master" ? If yes, how? There are just archives..

Dear Rainer,
the "EHP4 ready" DVD is for new customers (basically this is an up-to-date "ECC Server 6.0" without any EHP4 application components).
As you have an existing ECC system you have to use the Maintenance Optimizer (SolMan 7.0 EHP1) to download the EHP and Support packages and generate the stack XML (which the EHP Installer requires).
It makes no sense to install EHP3 (or any SP's first) - you will just double the effort. Hence SAP recommends to install EHP4 (with the EHP Installer) in one step.
Note that there is only one technical exception: 32 Bit platforms, please refer to the Master Guide for more information.
