Instalation Fails at last step with UNCORRECTABLE HARDWARE ERROR

Ok going through the steps here. Installing Vista 32 bit version. Partitioned just fine, installation goes through entire process in Vista. On the last part of instalation where it simply says "please wait, completing instalation"
I get the STOP: 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x84EAC348, 0xB2000040, 0x00000800)
Then it says "UNCORRECTABLE HARDWARE ERROR"
I have found a few people with the Stop error but it seems it happens much sooner in the process for them and they never mention this error. After hours of searching on the net I am desperate.
Can anyone help me?
I have a brand new Mac Mini with 4 gigs of ram. Using a brand new OEM Vista 32 Bit install dvd...
Any help at all would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Hi
Got the solution
there exist a directory bin in the sapinstalaltion folder.
There is a script  "cleanup" which did not have execute permission.
Give it the excute permission,the instlation goes ahead.

  • Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'msdb110_upgrade.sql' encountered error 537, state 3, severity 16

    Hello,
    I've encountered issue during installation of SP1 to SQL Server 2012. After upgrade I'm getting this error in Event Log:
    Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'msdb110_upgrade.sql' encountered error 537, state 3, severity 16. This is a serious error condition which might interfere with regular operation and the database will be taken offline.
    If the error happened during upgrade of the 'master' database, it will prevent the entire SQL Server instance from starting. Examine the previous errorlog entries for errors, take the appropriate corrective actions and re-start the database so that the script
    upgrade steps run to completion.
    Can someone point me direction how I can fix it? This is a production server and currently only way to make it working is to use T902 flag in SQL Server startup params. I've found some suggestions to check Data path if it exists but it does so this is not
    the issue here. Any ideas?
    I've found also here
    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic1377073-1550-1.aspx#bm1378279
    suggestions for similar issue with SQL Server 2008 which that I should do:
    Via ssms:
    From msdb:
    Delete:
    dc_admin role
    Dc_operator role
    Dc_proxy role
    UlitityCMRReader role
    UtilityIMRReader role
    UtilityIMRWriter role
    but for not I didn't tried it yet. This is standalone SQL Server instance.
    Any help really appreciated.
    Regards

    Script returns the same error.

    Before sending my message I've searched update script for "FROM master.sys.master_files" and I found script which you are showing me. I've made some digging and when I runned:
           SELECT physical_name
           FROM master.sys.master_files
           WHERE (name = N'master')
    it returned also path to one my customers database name which has filename set correctly but it's Logical DB name is master and mastlog. I'm running shared hosting company and I allow my customers to restore their DBs from .bak files but I have no idea why
    this customers logical name is set to master and mastlog. Probably when I change this names update script will work as it should. On the other hand in my opinion there should be some kind of fail safe mechanism for situations like this one.
    EDIT: After changing logical name for DB and log for mentioned DB your script runned fine so probably now when I remove T902 flag and restart my SQL Server update will run correctly. Big thanks for resolving this issue.

  • Reinstall of ADFS 3.0 fails during configuration step with error ADRepository.CreateTopContainer

    I am installing ADFS 3.0 alongside an existing ADFS 2.0 farm.  I followed the steps as detailed here:
    http://office365support.ca/migrating-ad-fs-2-0-to-ad-fs-3-0-for-office365-single-sign-on-2/
    That worked fine initially, but I ran into problems and decided to remove ADFS 3.0 completely and start over.  When I rerun the the Active Directory Federation Services Configuration Wizard, it gets almost all the way through, but fails with a generic
    error of: An error occurred while trying to configure this machine.
    Down below in the Detailed operation results, it displays:
    ADRepository.CreateTopContainer
    I am guessing I haven't cleared out something in Active Directory, but I'm not sure what that is.
    In my research, I found suggestions for deleting everything under ProgramData\Microsoft\ADFS, but I don't believe I can do that since I am still relying on the ADFS 2.0 installation until I can cut over.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    David Collins

    ADFS 2.0 uses IIS and so the installation is under /inetpub/adfs/ls.
    There's also a backup here:

  • ITunes stuck syncing on second to last step with iPhone 4s

    OSX 10.6.8
    iTunes 10.5
    iPhone 4s (iOS5)(does not sync properly)
    iPhone 3Gs (iOS4.3.1)(Syncs fine)
    iPad 2 (iOS5)(Syncs fine)
    There seems to be a few threads out there regarding this, but haven't seen anyone mention if they have some devices that work, some that don't. I have tried varies levels of syncing, restoring from backups, changing iCloud usage or turning it off, etc etc. Regardless of what number of steps it is taking, my 4s is always causing a hang for several minutes at the second to last step (determining tracks to sync). I was having photo problems and hanging on that step (don't recall now, but it was fixed with the delete iphoto database mentioned elsewhere.
    Is there a possibility that deleting my iTunes library completely and starting from scratch will fix anything? I certainly would prefer not to, but if it would work, I'd do it. Any other options or drastic measures, or are we all just waiting on Apple? Thanks!

    Through a series of reboots of phone and mac, I was able to get most of my music synced. My two hanging points appear to be photos and audible audiobooks (maybe all audiobooks, but I only have audible). Having gotten to mostly sync, I am not going to rebuild my library since it appears to me that it would not necessarily help. Today I haven't been able to get syncing going again, even with rebooting and various unchecking. Certainly very frustrating, and silly to carry around my 3gs as a glorified iPod while this gets fixed.

  • Windows 8.1 Installed now I received a Fatal Device Hardware Error

    Windows 8.1 kept popping up to install update.  I would refuse it.  Then recently it updated itself.  After that, i noticed it took a little longer for my laptop to boot.  It would show a blue screen for a little bit then it would boot.  Yesterday, I received an error (can't remember what it said) needed to restart because of an error.  I ran the Hard Disk Test and Quick and then the extensive test.  it stops at one sec remaining and noting happens.  I did get a fatal device hardware error.  Can the update to Windows 8.1 cause this to happen?

  • AS connector Failing on last step

    Hi there,  I can't get past the following error when trying to activate the connector.  It runs for approx. 3-5 minutes then provide the error.  I cannot fins any logs or event logs to tell me what's wrong.  Does anyone have any ideas?
    thanks
    Thank you for you time folks!
    I just want to add that the server I've installed on is running dir sync, SSAS (BISM) & SQL Server.  It a test server in a small domain (3 servers, nothing else)...

    Hey Tim,
    Let me help you fix this error. Few things, before we get started:
    1. are you on the latest version of the AS Connector? If not, please download the latest version from within Power BI. On the top right corner, you'll find an option to download the AS Connector. Try configuring the connector. If it continues to fail, let's
    try step 2
    2. since you mention that you do not see any errors in the event logs, can you please do the following?
       Run command prompt as Administrator
                  a. cd /d "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Management Gateway\1.0\Shared"
                  b. dmgcmd -BeginEtw
       Restart Gateway service - go to local services, search for 'Data Management Gateway Host Service' & restart it
       Wait for about 2-3 minutes after service restarted
       Run connector, then turn off the trace in command line
                  a. dmgcmd -EndEtw (run this command to turn off trace)
       Get the trace file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Management Gateway\1.0\Shared\*.etl"
    Share the .etl file with us for further investigation.
    Once, you share the etl file with us, we'll investigate the issue and keep you updated.
    Thanks,

    My MBP is the mid-2009 model with 2.53Ghz and  4GB RAM.
    I later made an upgrade by taking out the Optical disc drive and inserted a SSD drive.
    Then not long ago after Lion has been released, I installed Lion on my SSD while putting home folder in HDD.
    When I was on Snow Leopard I installed Windows XP on my Bootcamp.
    This time Apple dropped support for Windows XP and Vista, I guess I gonna give Win7 a go.
    So I opened up Bootcamp Assistant to make a Windows partition, then started the installation.
    It took me like 15-20 mins to let my system finish loading the required files on my Win7 DVD, after choosing the Windows 7 version (I chose Ultimate x64)
    I formatted my Bootcamp partition to NTFS(required for installation) then clicked 'next'
    Then the installation started, at first I thought it was successfully started but 2 seconds later I realised that I was wrong.
    The installation was aborted, system said that required files are not found'.
    After few tryings, I gave up and seeking for assistance.
    I know the key is that my OS and storage system setup is not so common and maybe those who have the same setup like me facing the same problem, kindly help please
    And also, is there any chance that my DVD has problems ?
    I don't suspect that as other than that error it gave me it seemed perfectly fine.

    Hi Leandro,
    Can you give more details about which version (EP6 SP?) you are installing and which SAP J2EE (6.20 ? Patch level ? or 6.30 ...).
    It sounds like your SAP J2EE does not start normally.
    But can you start it manually (depends on which version you istalled : either with Go.bat or sapmmc).
    Can you run configtool (configtool.bat) ?
    Regards,
    Frank

  • Recovery Disk Install will not boot ends with \Boot|BCD error

    Hi
    I have a Compaq Presario CQ56-219WM with Win7 64bit
    The OS  needed to be reloaded but the F11 recovery option was not working so I purchased the Factory Recovery DVD's from HP.
    When I go through the install procedure with the factory DVD's the sytem is disk is reformatted and programs loaded but the system refuses to boot... it always ends with an error message say that it can not read \BOOT\BCD
    I found a genuine Win7 pro DVD from another system and tried to run the repair options but that did not change the error
    It seems that the factory recovery disk really don't work in all cases. Can anyone help with this?
    Thank you

    Boot from the Win 7 disc and try the suggestion here:

  • Adclonectx.pl fails on db tier with RC-50004: Error occurred in CloneContext - using options addnode noprompt

    I'm trying to run adclonectx.pl non-interactively using a pairsfile and noprompt to automate my clone, this is to create the second node context file on the db tier of a 2 node Linux RAC environment and is the only bit that's still interactive so it would be really cool to get this working!
    I'm using a pairsfile with all the variables from a sucessfull interactive run, I probably need to add more variables to this file though I can't figure out what.
    Has anyone else got this working?
    EBS 12.1.3 DB 11.2.0.3 RAC.
    This is the command I run, I'm using host variables which are defined beforehand.
    --this bit just shows the variables are valid

    RC-50004: Error occurred in CloneContext:
    null
    Context file creation not succesful
    I have been trying to work my way through the stack trace and the source code.  I can see that getInputFromUsers() is called and that then calls getInputDBRACAdd().   That will then call checkRACDBConnection().  The question is where in checkRACDBConnection() – source code below – is it finding the NULL?
    I am guessing that as we don’t see the following in the log file:
    LogFile.getLogFile().info("Attempting to connect to database using :\n");
    the NULL has to happen before this line.  This gives us to work with:
    s = CloneContext.access$2000(CloneContext.this).getReplValIgnoreCase("s_apps_user").toString();
            if(CloneContext.access$2500(CloneContext.this) == null)
                CloneContext.access$2502(CloneContext.this, CloneContext.access$1400(CloneContext.this, "APPS password is required to validate database connection \nEnter APPS Password [APPS]"));
            i = 0;
    _L2:
            String s1;
            if(i >= m_racHostList.length)
                break; /* Loop/switch isn't completed */
            s1 = (new StringBuilder()).append("jdbc:oracle:thin:@").append(m_racHostList[i]).append(".").append(m_racdomain).append(":").append(m_racPortList[i]).append(":").append(m_racSidList[i]).toString();
    Not  much.
    Could it be this?
    if(i >= m_racHostList.length)
    In which case perhaps s_rachostlist needs to be set?  But I think the length function should return 0 not NULL if something is unset, so perhaps not.
    I am not sure there would be a problem with s_apps_user or the string assignment.
    So perhaps it’s the loop.
    i = 0;
    _L2:
            String s1;
            if(i >= m_racHostList.length)
                break; /* Loop/switch isn't completed */
    ‘i’ is set to 0.  If m_racHostList.length is 0 that means it breaks out of the conditional and, though I don’t know enough Java to be sure, as the function throws an exception, perhaps it goes into the exception handler:
    catch(Exception exception)
                Object obj1 = null;
                String as[] = {
                    m_racSidList[i]
                String s2 = MessageHandler.getMessage("RC-40201", as, 0, false);
                LogFile.getLogFile().printStackTrace(exception);
                LogFile.getLogFile().info(s2);
                i++;
    But that gives us an RC-40201 message, which isn’t what I'm seeing.
    So I just don’t know, unless s_rachostlist is the key, I am out of ideas.
    Has anyone else done this?
    I've also raised an SR but haven't had a response yet.
    Thanks in advance.
    Jeremy

    further info..
    I've pulled these variables out of the java code and added them to the pairsfile which gets rid of the null value problem but now it returns a tns error..
    s_isDBCluster=Y
    s_rachostlist=dxd1db01-ib
    s_racdomain=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    s_racsidlist=EBSDBA
    s_racportlist=1535
    s_rachostlist=dxd1db02-ib
    s_racvirtualhostlist=dxd1db02-ib
    s_racinstnumlist=2
    s_clusterInterConnects=dxd1db02-priv
    we noticed that s_rachostlist is used for two different values in the java code, interactilvey this value is prmpted for twice using the same variable - this may be causing our problem.
    strangely when run interactively the tns connectivity details are the same as when run interactively, the first works the latter doesn't ...
    we're thinking this could be a bug...
    Cheers

  • Send step with TRANSPORT Ack. fails in BPE after default client change

    Hi all,
    I had to change default client in my PI (7.0 sps 13) system from 001 to xxx. I did it according to note 940309.
    After this some probelms appears, for example my IPs becomes unworked and I have to repeat automatic customizing for BPE and re-activate in cache my IPs.
    But some of them sill doesn't work. I found that this IPs fails on send steps with transport acknowledgements. When I switch off transport ack. in send step, it become works fine.
    Please provide me with some solution, because I need transport ack. in my IPs.
