Install 2.2 issues

Before installing 2.2, my iPhone had become very unstable-- crashing frequently, including the phone OS and both Apple and 3rd party apps crashing frequently.
So, I figured upgrading to 2.2 might be an improvement.
Upon connecting my iPhone to my computer, iTunes launched and prompted my about upgrading to 2.2. I agreed to the upgrade, the license agreement etc. It then started the upgrade and said it would take about 3 and a half minutes. So far so good.
One minor annoyance. As soon as the upgrade started, iTunes automatically started it's sync with the iTunes Genius setting. This meant Genius and the iPhone software upgrade were competing for bandwidth, and caused both to go severely slowly. That was a minor annoyance that added an extra 5 minutes or so. Once the Genius setting was done syncing, the iPhone 2.2 software upgrade moved along quickly.
HOWEVER...
Once the install completed, it automatically popped up a dialog without being prompted and with no OK or cancel button that said "Backing up Chris Grayson's iPhone"... So I wait for that. The status-bar was moving painfully slow from the start.
After about 45 minutes, the status-bar hadreached 3/4 complete and then just stopped. It has now been "backing up" for over an hour and the status-bar has not moved one pixel from reaching that 3/4 point.
Based on this status bar on the computer screen, it appears to be frozen.
With the iPhone still connected to the computer, I can turn the phone on. It doesn't show any indication that it is doing anything. It behaves normally, but a bit slowly. I tried launching a couple of apps, etc.
While the "backup" clearly appears frozen, I fear disconnecting the iPhone or force quiting out of iTunes, out of fear that I will sudddenly lose all my data.
At this point, I've spent another 10 minutes writing this and nothing has changed, so I cannot spend the rest of my day staring at the frozen status bar. I'm going to hold my breath and disconnect the iPhone.
OK.
I just did so. The phone is behaving fine, but the computer just popped up an error alert:
iTunes could not sync to the iPhone "Chris Grayson's iPhone" because the iPhone is disconnected.
It appears that the immediate problem is half resolved. The iPhone is now removed, and appears functional, but I haven't had time to use it to see if it is any more stable with 2.2 installed, and I have the additional concern that it doesn't appear my iPhone can backup, if this one experience is any indication.
When I have more time, I will attempt to backup/sync again, and see how it behaves.
I should probably make my way to the Apple Store's Genius Bar and have them take a look at it, if the iPhone and apps continue to habitually crash on me.

I tried syncing this again at a later date, within a couple days of leaving the above inquiry. It took about 2 hours for it to sync, but eventually ran its course.
As the date of my prior post shows, this was left some time ago. Upon logging in I saw I had a past unresolved question and I'm really only posting this to close out the question.

Obviously since you have iOS 7 you're a developer.  As a developer, you signed a NDA with Apple not to discuss the iOS on a public forum.  Please log in to the Developer Forum using your credentials and ask for help there, lest you risk having your credentials terminated.

  • Bootcamp 3.1 and imac windows 7 64bit update not installing. Audio issues!

After many days of work getting the windows 7 working in bootcamp in my imac 27 (still with audio issues) I eagerly awaited the bootcamp update and imac updates.
    Neither will install.
Then I find that according to tech support as of now I have to reinstall Windows 7 again for the updates to work!
It took me 5 full 8 hours days to get all my scientific programs installed and working, now I find I can't even simply update the drivers I need. I don't want to reinstall.
    My only issues are audio.
    Here they are:
    1) The headset jack works fine on the Mac side, but in Windows 7, it causes the i7 intel CPU to go crazy. There is no CPU spike on the mac side.
    2) The headset jack in the imac is a trrs jack. The same as in the iphone, a tri-band jack that has three bands, two audio out channels and one mic in channel. A trrs headset works fine on the mac side with using the headset mic (as in iphone) rather than the built in mic. (this provides much better quality for sound recording). I don't want to use a usb mike.
In Windows 7 the mic part of the trrs headset does not work.
    3) In Windows 7 when going into audio devices recording, no audio mixer shows up, so when I do video or audio screen capture the only way to capture the sound is through the speakers and then back through the imac built in mic, rather than directly through the unit. (terrible sound quality) On the mac side the mixer element works fine.
Now I find from other imac users that even the new updates for the imac on windows 7 don't address and fix the audio issues. I am sure not going to go through 5 more days work only to find the audio issues still don't work.
I need these audio aspects to work properly though!
I have tried to get drivers for the cirrus logic audio card, but guess what there are none available and cirrus logic doesn't even recognize the board or offer drivers.
I have many windows programs I must have for my scientific research!I bought the top of the line Imac with all the bells and whistles because Apple promised that the machine could run Windows 7 in bootcamp natively!
It doesn't. This has been a nightmare of problems.
Is Apple going to step up to the plate and make good on their promises?
Does any one have a fix for any of the audio issues, or know how to install the new drivers without a complete reinstall of Windows?
Installing a few sound drivers and software should not require a complete reinstall. Getting the proper drivers for the headset jack audio in and audio out jack should be the most basic of fixes. Making the audio mixer work should be elementary.
If you are an Apple tech person or an Apple user that can help on these issues, please do!

PS I will post this under Imac windows 7 updates without a reinstall and under
    imac Sound issues.

On another thread a few people have responded saying that their imac has the same situation, the cpu is going crazy and the imac gets hot with headphones or speakers plugged in. But this doesn't happen in the mac side.
If you have an late 2009 imac and don't have these audio issues, let us hear from you. If you don't, lay out the problem here.
Here is my last two cents in to the inquiry.
Not only does the cpu run crazy but the imac 27 gets very, very hot. Since I unplugged the headphones, it runs much, much cooler.
Certainly, some Mac engineers should take care of this problem, it seems it is universal on all the imac 27's and from what I gather, the smaller screened cousins too.
Also, we certainly want a stereo mix option for audio in or out, or what is called "what you hear" or wave out. Imac is supposed to be much geared to multimedia apps.
Finally, the mic jack part of the trrs set up MUST be fixed! A lot of manufacturers are going to headset combo jacks as they call them, mic in and stereo out on the same tribanded plug. But, the old single jack for mic in and single jack for stereo out are two tiny parts of the hardware and super inexpensive for the manufacturer. Why in the **** to go to the "advanced" triplug if the **** thing doesn't work.
Mac has a great reputation. I hope they remedy these problems right away.
Anyone whose imac 27 or 24 whose headset plug is working correctly. Let us know! I don't think anyone's is, but I think that few people understand that their cpu is running so much faster with the plug in, plus few even understand the combo jack and the triband, or trrs audio jack! Out of 4 audio technicians I talked to, not one of them knew what a trrs jack was or that you even have a mic in jack as part of the headset jack!
When I told one senior that it worked on the Mac side, he didn't believe for a while, thought my sound might be recorded from the onboard mic, but I proved it to him by tapping iaudibly on my iphone mic headset and and it showing up in garage band clearly and listening to big difference in audio.
As for a usb audio adapter, I am in a neon light environment and find that those adapters are more sensitive to electrical interference. Besides I want to use the headset jack as it was meant to be used!
    Thats it.
Again, if anyone using an imac 27 and windows 7 64 or 32 doesnt have these problems, let us know! We are all anxious for a fix!
    Best to all!

  • VMS new install - IP box issues

Installed my VMS and 2 IP boxes without issue.  However, I am now seeing a problem between the IP boxes.  I only have the 3 total units.  While watching a channel on IP1, if I put the same channel on IP2, IP1 freezes, as if it were paused.
To correct the problem, I need to turn off IP2 then change the channel on IP1 to something different and then return to the original channel.  Anyone else seeing this?  We have to be able to watch the same channel on multiple TVs...

I did a bit of Googling after I've been working this issue for several hours straight, and it seems I have the dreaded "NF3 vs 6800" issue.
I have flashed the BIOS to clock the BFG 6800GT OC back down to 350/1000 and even went so far to push it back to 345/1000.  I have turned fastwrites off, the hidden ATI/NV setting in the BIOS is turned off, I tried pushing the voltage to the card up to 1.6 and used NiBitor and RivaTuner to try and force the 2d/3d times to be the same.
Nothing worked.  I'm still getting annoying "RGB pixilation" as well as periodic UI freezes for half a second.  Called BFG and they said they knew of no issues, and after doing a bit of searching on this board, it seems to be an NForce vs. 6800 problem.
Has anyone got any other ideas before I go over to the darkside and purchase a VIA board?

  • Archive and Install/Disc Utility issues -

I'm currently spending a summer abroad in South America, and have had issues with my Macbook Pro (early 2011 version) no longer starting up after some virus experiences last week.  The computer hangs itself during loading on the white screen w/ grey apple and the spinning dial.  In contacts with Apple Care as well as some Mac-saavy friends, the following situations have been tried:
Opening in safe mode - The loading bar (added at the bottom of the grey apple screen) loads about 1/4 of the way, disappears, and the computer hangs itself.
Opening in single user mode - I run the recommended sbin/fsck -fy command to clean up the hard drive.  It comes back after having checked 6-7 parts, saying that the MacHD is in good shape, with a message following saying that something had been "modified" (forgive me for not remembering the correct verbage at present).  I then run the same command again, resulting in a message that the HD is clean and without error.  I then "reboot" and remain hung on the white screen w/ grey apple.
Opening in verbose mode - I reach the following lines of text, and then there is no further progress:
    enable
    IONetworkController::enable
    createMediumTables
    enable end
MacAuthEvent en0   Auth result for: 00:23:cd:1e:f2:c4 No Ack
same line as above saying "Auth timed out" at the end
Command+option+r+p - shock two or three times, (three startup chimes) and computer continues to hang itself in the normal spot.
    - So, at this point I took the advice of Apple Care and a few other friends, and tracked down a "retail copy" of Mac OSX (10.6.3) in order to try to do an Archive and Install or any sort of Disc Utility via the startup disc.
Inserting the disc and holding "c" at startup results in the cd drive whirring the disc for a few moments, and then remaining hung at the same white loading screen.
Holding "option" during the startup gives me the option of loading from the HD, or the disc.  Selecting the disc proceeds to whirr the cd drive, take me to the white loading screen with the grey apple, and... you guessed it... leaves the CPU hung.
My question is then, is my Macbook Pro unable to read this disc and execute Archive and Install/Disc Utility for hardware reasons as per the virus attack, or is the disc not compatible with my version of OSX (which I have since confirmed through my wife to be 10.6.6)?
Different sources have told me different things.  The local AASP in Uruguay sold me what they professed to be the "latest" version of OSX - the 10.6.3, what's more for $55 dollars instead of the lower cost as available in the states (between $15-$30), so I am reluctant to go back to them for advice when they seem more inclined to cash in on my inexperience (Mac owner of less than a month) than actually fixing my issue.  Apple Care told me that a standard "retail disc" should work, but I am assuming now that they believe I can snag the same version as initially came with my Macbook Pro.  Should I be looking to have my wife mail my original OSX install DVDs down here to resolve this problem?  Should 10.6.3-retail be working and is not for reasons I haven't identified?  I have since done some online research and found mentions that doing any sort of HD partitioning or OSX reinstalls can only be accomplished by utilizing a disc of an equal or more recent version of the OSX (examples that 10.4 can't work on a notebook preinstalled with 10.5, etc).  Does this translate to 10.6.3 not being able to function for my 10.6.6 MBP?
Any insight or thoughts would be much appreciated, as essentially all of my schoolwork and assignments are now trapped on an inaccessible HD.  Thank you for your time.
    - Joseph

I tried adding in a bunch of information about what your troubleshooting steps meant, but the server went into maintenance while I did. So, here it is again:
"Opening in safe mode - The loading bar (added at the bottom of the grey apple screen) loads about 1/4 of the way, disappears, and the computer hangs itself."
This is FSCK running, and gives you an indication of it's progress.
"MacAuthEvent en0   Auth result for: 00:23:cd:1e:f2:c4 No Ack"
This is either a failed DHCP request or ARP request.
    "Command+option+r+p"
         Command+Option+P+R - Resets PRAM. That's why p+r.
"Inserting the disc and holding "c" at startup results in the cd drive whirring the disc for a few moments, and then remaining hung at the same white loading screen."
This problem indicates that the disc is too old to boot your system. The reason for why this disc cannot boot is because it doesn't contain the necessary drivers for your model MacBook Pro. My mom and brother have similar models, and my brother had similar issues while in Japan. He went and got an install disc as well, which failed, I ended up stepping him through so that it would boot in Safe Mode, and then got it working in Normal Mode remotely.
FYI: Sophos has a free Mac Antivirus program, that is very processing friendly, and will scan in the background. You may wish to consider it as an alternative to Avast! if it continues giving you problems. Though I suspect it may be coincidence that your computer had problems shortly after Avast! cleaned up files. Let me know how it goes. You may wish to open up Disk Utility and check your S.M.A.R.T. Status. You want to make sure it says "Verified" If it doesn't say "Verified" then you have a problem.

  • Tiger won't install and other issues

Trying to help a friend with a suddenly problematic iMac (G4/800 512). Machine is running 10.3.9. Tried to install 10.4 (tiger) - went through installation and ejected after about 30min with a 'can't install' dialogue box (sorry I wasn't there for the actual text, but it failed three times). Ran Preferences in Disk Utility, repaired a couple, then tried to backup iTunes. Superdrive ran like molasses, even at 1x.
Is this mosaic of issues related??? Is this a nuke and rebuild? Or is this a HD facing extinction?

It would be helpful to know the exact error message provided with the "can't install" dialogue but did this friend purchase a Tiger retail install package which is on a single DVD and has a black label?
Any current problems with this Mac running 10.3.9?
Has the S.M.A.R.T. status for the drive been checked via Disk Utility and if a Tiger retail install package is being used, was Repair Disk (not repair disk permissions) run on the boot volume via Disk Utility when booted from the Tiger install disc before proceeding with the installation?
Is there plenty of free hard drive space available?

  • Windows refuses to install (slew of issues, specifically the partition)

    Hello guys,
I'm using the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), OS X Yosemite with a fusion drive). Previously I had Windows installed perfectly. I was running the tech build but after a few months I managed to mess it up due to driver issues. I decided to start over and reinstall the OS and use Windows 8.1.
I did a checksum on the ISO used for Windows 8.1 and it checked out. I also tried using Windows Enterprise (supposedly not support but it's worked before for me) and the Windows tech build again.
The first set off issues is that all versions tell me I can't partition the drive (windows installation screen). Then once I format it within the windows installation screen, it's the same issue.
I tried using Tuxera, still doesn't work. Windows Techbuild recommended me to use fat32. Still doesn't work, and makes me format it regardless.
At one point my partition got divided up.
And when I goto boot camp assistant I get "the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restore to a single partition".
I've lost hope and I can't repartition my entire drive at the moment. Is there a fix for this? I've also tried deleting the partition within Windows, making it free space. That manages to get me to the install screen but it gets stuck at ZERO percent and blames my source media (although the checksum is correct and it's done the same with Windows 8.1, Enterprise, and the Tech Build.
So many problems. I've been using bootcamp since about 2007 or 2008? Never had these issues.

It is a fusion drive. 1 Tb.  I've used BC assistant to format the drive, I've used Disk utility, I've used the windows installation screen. It's been messy because I've had to systematically see what could work and it hasn't be working in my favor. Not bootcamp won't format the drive . It shows this.

  • Stable ati driver installed, but still issues

    Hi folks
    I followed this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AMD_Catalyst
and everything went smoothly, everything installed fine and the accc is showing my graphics card and lets me change the settings.
Now i only installed it because i could not get flash videos to play smoothly on full screen, it was by default using the ati-dri driver. No matter what i tried i could not sort this issue so i installed the stable amd catalyst driver and control centre. It boots fine but videos are still choppy (when on full screen) and the movement of windows around is slow and tearing. i followed the instructions on the the wiki to fix these things but nothings has worked.
before installation of the driver window movement was smooth also
I assume if the driver was not installed properly i would not even be able to boot into a gui? everything looks pretty its just when i come to drag windows about and like i say watch youtube.
Cheers guys, i can post more info later if needed.

neoroses wrote:Should i just start the whole process again in a fresh install?
No, there shouldn't be any reason to do anything that drastic. If the open source Radeon driver works well for you then I think it would be a better idea to use it instead of the Catalyst driver. Just uninstall the Catalyst driver and install the Radeon driver.
What computer are you using? What video card are you using?
What are you trying to watch? If it's just things like YouTube videos then consider using a helper application such as "youtube-dl" and using a video player such as "mpv". You'll still be able to watch the video while it's downloading, but you won't have to deal with those stupid clunky sometimes-works sometimes-doesn't Flash video players. I don't know how anyone does.
Ha, I just realized, you're dealing with Flash for Linux (which is kind of deprecated and not being developed any more) and Catalyst for Linux(which is kind of deprecated and not being developed any more). Sounds tricky.

  • Just installed 10.5,issues opening iphoto and everything in general is slow

I just finished installing Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
I am noticing that everything is a little slower - even clicking on MAC HD - takes about 3-4 seconds to show all files/folders etc...
The other thing, is since the install, i cannot open iPhoto!!! Says it having issues opening it, to "relaunch" "ignore" or "send report".
    What's going on? I think i liked 10.3.9 better.....
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

You need to buy iLife '06 or later to run iPhoto in Leopard.
There is a slight risk in migrating from the old iPhoto to the new one you may lose photos. The fact you didn't backup prior to installation says you are not properly prepared to upgrade to Leopard. Backup your data to a second hard drive following my FAQ* for user data backup:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
And then once you reinstall the older operating system on the non-backup drive with an erase and install, reimport the data to the older operating system, backup again a clone backup at least twice. Then you'll be prepared to upgrade to Leopard if you want to buy iLife '06 or later.

  • Installing Desktop Application Issues

    Hello,
I have Adobe CC Plus and I have worked with Adobe Story online for a while. I recently went to download the desktop version and once the installation process is complete (having the "Start application after installation" box checked) a prompt comes up saying:
    "Sorry, an error has occurred.
The application failed to launch or re-launch properly."
Then going into the program and launching it directly from the short-cut created, the front log-in screen appears fine. However! The button to 'Sign in' is broken. It acts as though I can click it, but when you do nothing happens. I have tried every way to install this program using different browsers and the same thing keeps happening. Please help!
    Thanks!

Can you please mail me the installation logs?
    1) First please make sure that you have latest version of Adobe AIR installed (http://get.adobe.com/air)
    2) Then download the Desktop App installer directly from: https://story.adobe.com/AIR/AdobeStory.air
    3) Try to install the downloaded file and if you still face this issue then mail me the installation logs at DL-AdobeStory-support<at>adobe<dot>com
Have a look at the section 'Locate and view the installation log file' in the links below to locate the installation logs.

After going through the set up I am getting the green light on the airport extreme, but it will not connect to the internet.
    Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
I have my internet either cable coming out of the modem and plugged into AP Extreme. If I plug the cable directly into the back of the iMac I can access the internet that way with no issies.
Is that cable connected to a broadband modem? If so, when switching what device is connected to that, you should power down that modem for several minutes, then power it back up. Without this process, some modems will refuse to connect to a different device.
I had to configure my Network preferences, and turned on the Airport2 (for some reason when I try to turn on Airport it will not turn on.
There are ways to reset all that, but first let's try to get things to work.
Any ideas why?). So I get an error code that pops up stating that I do not have a good IP address. The address for the router is 10.0.1.1 and the IPv4 address is showing 10.0.1.2.
The IP address of what? (Where do you see that?)
The error box that pops up states: 10.0.1.1 in use by 90:84:0d:d3:7a:5b.
The value starting with "90" is a "MAC address" (not to be confused with "Mac", i.e. "Macintosh"). That address is in a range assigned to Apple. Apple calls a MAC address assigned to a WiFi interface an "AirPort ID". You can identify the AirPort ID of an AirPort Extreme either from the value embossed on the case or in AirPort Utility. You can identify the AirPort ID of a Mac either in the Network panel of System Preferences (select the AirPort connection item, then click on the Advanced button) or in System Profiler (Apple menu -> About This Mac, More Info, Contents -> Network, Active Services -> AirPort, Ethernet: MAC Address).
Where do you see that message? What is running at the time?

  • Install with confusing issues

Hi...I had some problems this summer that I won't go into much detail, but now I would like to upgrade to Snow Leopard from Leopard and I'm not sure how to go about it.
    1) In middle of composition in July and software stops working as expected after upgrade. After days of trying to fix, I choose to create a partition with only OS X 10.5.? (from install DVD) and Sibelius/Garritan Concert & Marching Band sound library on the internal drive of the iMac. I now have a Sib partition (I call it-short for Sibelius) and a "B" partition that has all of the files from my previous hard drive config restored from Time Machine (on external 1 TB drive).
    2) Time Machine will not do backups now because (?) the configuration it expected to see doesn't exist (hard drive with one partition). So I've skipped backups for 6 months.
    3) I have added photos to iPhoto and tunes to iTunes to the "B" partition that I don't want to loose.
So how do I approach this? I will be deleting the Sib partition, installing Snow Leopard and wanting all of my files/libraries from the B partition back to my unpartitioned (same) hard drive. I don't want to loose any files in this transition. Both partitions have 10.5.4 as that was the version that came with the RestoreDVD.
Thanks for your help in resolving this issue...Greg

I'm not sure what you are asking at this point.
If you clone your current drive onto an external drive, you can then use the Snow Leopard installer to re-partition the internal drive as a single partition, erase it, and install Snow Leopard. You can use Carbon Copy Cloner, Super Duper, or Disk Utility to clone the drive. However, I am not certain how all of them handle the multiple partitions. You may hav to partition the drive and then clone each individual partition.
After installation, and when the new installation starts up, you will be presented with some options about migrating data from an old computer. Use that option and connect your external. Choose the B partition and your users and settings will be transferred to the new installation.
When you run iPhoto and iTunes, they will upgrade your libraries to the new versions. If you are running iLife 11, don't run iPhoto until you have updated it. There are two updates that will be available in software update. Once you've installed the first, run software update again to get the second one.

  • Install versus Run Issue - Lightroom CC

    Hi everyone,
I just wanted to make really clear that there are 2 issues we're seeing currently.
    Issue 1
You cannot install Lightroom CC because it's not available in the Creative Cloud app
Solution: Login and out to refresh the list of applications available
(there's also been reports of it only being available as a trial for subscribers - no solution there yet afaik)
    Issue 2
You cannot run Lightroom CC after installing it. It simply will not start.
On Windows if you right click C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom\lightroom.exe and chose "Run as Administrator" you will get prompted for elevated priviligies. Than again nothing happens.
    Solution: still none
Hope that helps clarifying the two issues

actually logging out and back in is necessary! rebooting and reinstalling doesn't help, but logging out and back in does:
here the official answer for Macs but it works for Windows as well. CC applications close immediately after launch

  • Downloading and installing PSE 11 issues

I downloaded the files from your site and have them in one file on my pc. However, it will not let me open them, saying something is missing. I have downloaded and retried several times. Please advise as to what I need to do.

    Hi,
I'm having the same issue. And find this whole experience and support method very frustrating.
    1. Instructions are instructions but poorly designed process is no good. You are asking us to do things that are not logical, ie, click on the download of free PSE 12 and then cancel to activate a cookie, then install. This is rubbish. If you are relying on cookies or another session based method offer it in a simple to use way.
    2. Loads of people are having the same issue yet you basically tell them all to go read a blog. This is not customer service or any level of support you would expect from a retailer of your scale charging the prices you charge.
    3. After following all the options, trialling a download about 5 - 6 times. With all the possible alternatives I still have an issue.
I know as a Moderator there is little that you can do about all of the above, but if you can provide this feedback to an Adobe rep please do so.
As a suggestion of what you could do. Why don't you simply place a download link on the page where we have the product serial. Have a session based cookie function there and then a single installer file package Instead of having information scattered across a bunch of pages, links and blogs.

  • Installing Plug-Ins Issues

    Hi and happy holidays!
I am having issues when attempting to install plugins to AE CS6 11.0.4.2 .  I am using an iMac and running OS 10.9 Mavericks.  One plugin is called "Element.plugin" and the other is called "HeatDistortion.plugin".  I downloaded them using the special installers that automatically add it to the AE CS6 Plugins folder.  I even checked
Macintosh HD> Adobe After Effects CS6> Plug-ins> VideoCopilot> and I see both plugins in the folder.  But when I open AE they don't show up in the effects panel under "Video Copilot".  What is going on?
What I've tried: Restarting my computer, restarting After Effects, reinstalling the plug-ins, dragging the plug-ins to the trash and then reinstalling them
    Regards,
    Anthony

Show a screenshot of the folder where you've installed the plug-ins. Also, give the exact instructions that you followed to install the plug-ins.
BTW, if you need support for Video Copilot plug-ins, the best place to get it is from Video Copilot:
