I hope this has not been posted before. The following info may be useful for those who are tired of patching Acrobat installation multiple times to get it up to date.

Sorry if I got you wrong, but Acrobat 9.0 is a full fledged release, it is not a patch update. If you have installed Acrobat 8.x on your computer, you will have to purchase an upgrade to the latest version.
Just in case, I am providing links to the update pages for Acrobat. Choose the link based on your OS. The udpates work only if you have the corresponding base version installed on your computer. For example, you can install the 9.x updates only if you have Acrobat 9 installed on your computer.

Yes, your license key is cross platform PC & or Mac you are allowed to have two current installations with one in use at any point in time. You can uninstall / install as many times as is necessary so long as you adhere to the limits.

Cannot install acrobat 9 pro updates on osx lion

I have not browsed through the forums here, so please forgive me if this question had been asked before. Are there known issues between Acrobat 9 Pro and OSX Lion? We have a user who has OSX 10.7.5 and Acrobat 9 Pro. He is not able to update Acrobat as there is no option to do so when he clicks on Help. He tried manually downloading and installing updates but when he is asked to select the copy of Adobe product to update, he only has the option to cancel.
I installed Acrobat 9 Pro on a Macbook running Mountain Lion and did not encounter any problem installing updates.
Is this a known issue?

Hi, yes, understood that they are different things. However, if I'm to
rely on the link provided on the first reply then does it follow that 9
Pro is also not supported on Mountain Lion? I have a MACbook here on OSX
Mountain Lion, and as I've also mentioned on my first post, I was able to
install 9 Pro and update it as well.
It really is just odd that Lion is singled out here. I also checked this
and there is no mention of problems with updating 9 Pro:

Sorry, but just trying to really find a workaround for this issue right
now. We though of using X Pro instead but, again, if I rely on the system
requirements on this link -

Unable to print pdf, print command goes to save screen after installing acrobat reader X update

I have Dell Inspiron and brother MFC 7345N printer. Pdf printing was fine until I installed adobe reader security update this morning. Now I cannot print pdf. When I select print command and enter specification, the try to print, I am routed to the save document screen instead of printing any pdf document. I've already restarted computer and printer and it is a new Dell with windows 7. All was working fine until adobe update screwed everything up. what can I do? Can I reset my computer to an earlier time before installing this update?

In the preferences disable the entry 'Print to File'.

Sometimes it crashes immediately upon opening a document, but on occasion I am able to open and close 3 or 4 documents in a row before it crashes. I've had dozens of crashes today. The Adobe Forums do not offer file attachments. But there are sites you can use to upload and share your files. One such site is Adobe's Workspaces. Here are instructions for uploading a file to Workspaces and adding a link to the document to your message:
1. Go to https://workspaces.acrobat.com/ and sign-in with your Adobe ID to the Workspaces service.
2. Create an account if you don't have one.
3. Then login to the website.
4. In top left corner you will see a button called Upload.
5. Click on browse and select the file you want to upload.
6. After Uploading, mouse over on the uploaded file. Click the down arrow button and choose Share document.
7. Then you will be prompted a popup window at the lower left corner. Choose "Publish it" option.
8. In the next pop up window choose "Copy Link" option.
9. You can paste the link in the forum thread.

I can understand your concern, however can you please let me know that are you able to open both the PDF files ( the one you converted form excel to pdf & the other pdf that was mailed to you ) individually without using any password?
As it asks for the password, it means that the postal mailed PDF is password protected. You can ask for the password from the sender of the postal mail & then try to combine the files.
Please follow the steps in the provided KB doc.to combine the files : Combine files into single PDF | Adobe Acrobat DC tutorials
This will probably resolve your issue.

Acrobat installed on Mac, but update function fails with "..not connected to internet.."

I successfully installed Acrobat Pro version 11.0.0 on two MacBook Pro's running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. Adobe runs and works fine, however when attempting to update to version 11.0.10, I get the following:
"Cannot download update files. Please verify that you are connected to the Internet and check for updates again later.
Error: 1109"
The computers are definitively connected to the internet, so why doesn't this work? I completely re-installed it on one computer, but have the exact same problem. Please help.

The possible reasons that you are experiencing the internet connectivity issue is that either you are offline or the clock on your computer is set incorrectly .
Please check the internet connectivity ,if it is connected ,you could disconnect it once and they try reconnecting or you could adjust the clock on your system and try again .

You can get the updates for the MAC from Adobe - Acrobat : For Macintosh, but apparently you already found that. Two possibilities that I can think of: 1. You have anti-virus enabled and that is causing the failure or 2. You are trying to install an update and skipped ones before it. If you start with the latest update, the download indicates the previous version required for the update. It looks like 10.1.12 can install over any previous version, so I would go for broke and install the latest.

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). How do I install MSP file updates to Adobe Acrobat after downloading them? I have just installed Acrobat 8.0 from the original installation CD on a new PC running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) and have downloaded the update to 8.1.0 to begin with, but on clicking it get the error messsage 'This patch could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package'. Updater is not working at all. It says it cannot find any updates. Even when I place the MSP file in the Updater folder to which it is supposed to download updates, it does not find updates. What is wrong? Why won't this patch install? Thank you! I really don't want to be stuck with 8.0.0 when I know that years of updates through to 8.3.1 are available, but for some reason they will not install intuitively.

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Win 7. As Acrobat version 8 is very old product so I would recommend you to purchase Acrobat11 which has more enhanced features and functionalities.

- what version of Acrobat Pro

I have no idea what that message means; try uninstalling using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html then download and reinstall the latest Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
