"Install Adobe Flash Player" is damaged and can't be opened
The subject line of this discussion is what is displayed when I go to try to install Adobe Flash. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.3. I had Flash downloaded for a while, but the last update wouldn't update. It would download, but then when I went to open it it would say "Retrieving Install" and the meter would remain at 0%. It never went a step beyond that. After trying many times, per the instructions of the website, I deleted Flash from my computer using the Adobe uninstaller downloaded from this site. Now that I am trying to reinstall Flash I keep getting the message "'Install Adobe Flash Player' is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image". What should I do from here? I would appreciate any help!
You should make sure you do a complete uninstall of the flash player first and then install the latest FP14 version from this link - Use http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g

How do I send the crash reports?Basically, the script wrapper solution is: Firefox launcher gets changed to run a script, which in turn starts Firefox and also jumps through whatever hoops you need to fix the problem. Not a pretty way to do things, but if the problem is indeed in zombie processes and/or junk data in local cache, this will do the job. So, instead of running '''''YourAppPath''/firefox.exe''' it would run '''''YourBatchPath''/firefox.bat''' that contains something like this:

Of course, you'll need to do this manually first - take a look with Process Explorer at what processes FF launches and which of them fails to terminate and locate the cache (where Process Explorer / Process Monitor also helps), mop them up and see whether it helps.
If you're not used to this sort of things, show this message to someone who is, it will take a few minutes to either have it done or disprove my hypothesis about your bug (not likely, as it's rather typical, and FF sometimes manages to half-zombify itself even in Linux). -

Lion...and now Maverick ...very update is a new trouble..
now with my mouse I can not get any desktop file...and also when I try to empty trash do not do anything.Make sure that Firefox is closed and check in the Task manager that there are no hanging plugin-container processes left.

This is the full procedure for installing Adobe Flash for Firefox.

I have my first ipad. It is the mini version. I'm trying to go to certain sites on the internet that tell me I need to update or install Adobe Flash Player. When I try to down load Adobe Flash Player I get a message saying "this device does not support Adobe Flash Player". Can I not use Adobe Flash Player on my ipad like I do on my computers and my iphone???
You can't install flash player on your iPad, nor on your iPhone - it's not supported on iOS devices, and as Adobe have stopped development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites. Also some websites have their own apps in the App Store. -

After downloading and installing Adobe Flash Player 11.6 on my HP Laptop w/ Windows 7, The player will not work. Every time i click on a video it tells me that i need to install Adobe Flash Player. Browser out of date and can't install Adobe Flash Player
My browser is out of date according to everything I am visiting. I can't post pictures on twitter, some of the videos I watch have blocked plug-ins, and I can't install adobe flash player. My computer is a MacBook Pro 10.6.4, and I would like to keep Safari. Can someone direct me to where I get the newest version of Safari and why I cannot install Adobe Flash Player. I have installed, uninstalled, and done everything I know to do to get this problem resolved. Next step is take it to the Apple store as I am not a tech person. Thanks for any assistance.

If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

The email and password will be the ones for your computer's security, not something for any Adobe product. You might need to consult Mac customer support if you are unable to determine the required information.

Can't play you tube and other videos with Firefox. Have re-installed Adobe Flash player without success. I can play you tube videos using Internet Explorer.
I am also unable to even see the link to audio replay on Capitol Pressroom archives. The same link is visible and functional on Internet Explorer.There are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. Hi, glad that worked for you. Also thanks for the explanation as how you came about this. Yes, from my understanding any Install of the CS5, even a trial version Installs the 10.1 (beta/prerelease) versions. It is not clear to me or others why the 10.1 was used in the CS5 instead of the latest version (10.0.45.2). My only guess is that the 10.1 is very close to being released as a shipping version (final release) to the public. The 10.1 had a target date of the first half of 2010. Perhaps that was the reasoning. This is just my opinion:-)
As I said, many users are having this problem, not just with the CS5, but they Install the 10.1 thinking that will solve whatever problem they may be having with the latest version.

This is a known problem, but we don't have a solution for it. If your device has the Toshiba Market app, you might be able to download a (possibly outdated) version of Firefox from there.
