Install Adobe Media Downloader

Trying to archive current files. Installation of 'Adobe Media Downloader' has stalled for hours in both my Mac desktop and laptop MacAir. ANY HELP...???

Try using Chrome as a browser, clearing the browser cache, and then load adobe air and download the archiver. Please let me know if this works for you

If you have files other than JPEGs in your Photoshop.com account and they have not been backed up somewhere else, or you have opted out of the move to revel, then you should use our ADOBE MEDIA DOWNLOADER at this link to save them to your computer before your Photoshop.com account closes at the end of the transition period in June 2013.  You will see a screen like the one below. Download and install Adobe Air first. Then download install the media downloader.  It can take a while if you have a lot of files.
You will be asked to download and install Adobe Air first, which is found at: http://get.adobe.com/air/
After installing the AIR runtime, you should be able to launch the Adobe Media Downloader by clicking the link. The direct link is:

  • Adobe Media Downloader pauses and will not resume (June 18 deadline!)

As an Adobe Photoshop Elements subscriber, I scanned and stored 924 pictures, most of them TIFFs of original family photos from the 19th century. Adobe has emailed me to download all the TIFFs before June 18 because of the platform change to Revel, which does not support TIFFs. As instructed, I have downloaded and installed AdobeAir and Adobe Media Downloader and I have made numerous attempts, on two different PCs (both Windows 7), to make the download. Each time, Media Downloader pauses, usually at about image 400, and says to check if the disc is available (plenty of room on my drives, and I have also attempted with a clean external hard drive) and then to resume. Clicking "resume" just brings up the same message endlessly. So I restart Media Downloader and it begins the process again at image 1, only to eventually pause again and ask me to resume. So hard drive space isn't the problem, and my ISP is Verizon FIOS with measured speeds above 75/35, so these pauses shouldn't be being caused by network speeds.
Given the time constraint,  I tried to resolve this problem today through Adobe's "pay-for-help" telephone line, but was told that the only support for Adobe Media Downloader is through this forum!
Suggestions on how to make a complete download of my TIFFs when Media Downloader keeps hiccuping?

Hi, Pattie. I uninstalled Adobe Media Downloader, downloaded it again
and reinstalled, began "Download" to a new external hard drive with 1.81
TB of available space (total download is 3.71GB) ... and got to
"Downloading 9 of 924 items" before getting the error message: "The
Download has unexpectedly paused. Please check if your drive is
accessible and click on "Resume" to continue your download." I click on
"Resume" but it just brings up the same error message repeatedly. So
please help me with an alternative method.

  • Adobe Media Downloader

I downloaded and installed the Media Downloader.  When I attempt to open I only see a Grey rectangle about half and inch by 2 inches.  Please help.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

    Hello,
    Apologies for the inconvinience.
The workaround to get rid of the tiny window is to close the downloader and delete the cache folder
    WIN : C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-number>
    MAC : /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-number>
    and then relaunch the downloader.
However this will start download afresh. You will have to login again with your Login email and password and download will start again.
    Hope this helps

However, when it starts to install adobe media player it just hangs there. I have left it over night just in case this app takes a long time, but no luck in doing that.

  • Adobe Media DownLoader (Ben. Incomplete download)

Adobe Media DownLoader will only download 52 of my photo's while I can see over 2000 in my library. I would like to archive my library before the June deadline.

    Ben
I assume you don't see any error messaage since it thinks it completed, right?
To investigate this we would have to look at the error logs -
Start your download and if it is incomplete again send us the Log.txt file from the locations listed.
    WIN : C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-num ber>\Local Store\
    MAC : /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-n umber>/Local Store/
You can email me the log.txt file to Amreek at [email protected]
If there are no error logs since it seemed to complete happily, also let me know.
    Thanks,
    Pattie

  • Adobe media downloader froze

I was downloading my 2800 pictures from photoshop dot com onto a temporary computer I'm using untill mine is repaired. The media downloader froze two thirds of the way through. A restart didn't help. I uninstalled and re-installed but still no go.I get a tiny fraction of the screen showing the program is there, but that's all. Any ideas?

    Hi Nedzuli,
Looks like the cache has got corrupted and that is why you are seeing a small screen of downloader and cannot take any action on it.
Please delete the following folder and restart the downloader. This should help you resolve the issue.
    WIN : C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-num ber>\Local Store\
Please let us know if this worked.
    Thanks,

  • How to install Adobe Media Encoder C6 when CC is all ready installed

    Hello
I need to be able to publish flv files, but the new Adobe Media Encoder CC can't export FLV files, therefore I need to install an older version. But I can't find it anywhere. Not on Adobe.com or en the creatiev Cloud App under previous versions. Does anyone know where to find it?

    I hope this link helps.
Install a previous version of any Creative Cloud application
Media Encoder CS6 is bundled with some Video apps and cannot be installed by itself.  Installing Premiere Pro CS6, After Effects CS6, Flash CS6 or Prelude CS6 would install Media Encoder CS6.

  • Can I install Adobe Media Server - AMS 5 standard unto Linux Centos 6?

I would like to know if I can install AMS 5 standard on Centos 6? And if so which version would be best?
I see that Amazon EC2 runs a Adobe Media Server 5 version on a Centos 6.3 OS. So it must be possible right?
I have tried to install AMS 5 on Centos 7 but have not been able to get HTTP Dynamic streaming to work properly, so don't want to stuggle again, but I also don't want to be stuck with Centos 5 anymore as I cannot run Lavarel on there or the latest version of PHP.
Can someone please explain whether this is possible?

Yes AMS works on all CentOS 6.x...Centos 7 is not supported...You are always encouraged to use latest version of AMS which is 5.0.7 as on date.

  • Adobe Media Downloader Help Please

I've needed to restart my download many times which wouldn't be so bad if I could continue from where it left off.  I have 40,000 files and each time it's after more than 24 hours of downloading (over 7000 successful downloads), it boots me off to the sign in screen.  I'm getting really frustrated but want to archive my files while photoshop.com is still available.  Please help.  Are there any other options besides individual downloads?  I have too many files to do that.  This downloader has been running all week and I only get through about 25% each time.  Please help?

    Hello,
    To investigate this further :
Can you send me the Log.txt placed here
    WIN : C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-number>\Local Store
    MAC : /users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.px.Downloader.<some-number>/Local Store
You can send the log file to [email protected]

  • Adobe Media Download Problem

I've just downloaded and installed the latest Adobe AIR - v3.6 as it asked the first time from Adobe, but it keeps showing this message. What am I doing wrong, or is it something else? I'm using Windows XP SP3.

    Hello,
This is a very specific case of some machines having problem with Air installation. I googled it and the closest i could get is to try installing an older Air version from here and see if that works.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/air/kb/archived-air-sdk-version.html
    Try with 3.5 runtime.
If it still doesnot work let me know. ill try getting more help on it.
