To install and maintain two lattest versions of oracle discover ,owb and htmldb in one server , what are requirements. what steps to follow to install and maintain. My Current setup is
Oracle Discoverer Suite 10g (9.0.4.0.1) ,
HTML_DB Release 2.0
OWB 10.1.0.4
I want to install and run anather versions of all in same server? how ?

i have just thought that i have to install in separate oracle home in separate directory. my server o/s is unix. i want more info on it.

Only the latest version of WLP which is WLP 10.3.2 has facility to integrate with Oracle UCM with Adapaters. So make sure that you do have this latest version of WLP 10.3.2. Older versions like WLP 10.3 do not have this provision.
Also I guess when you install and configure this Oracle UCM Adapater and choose above WLP Home, I guess these modules may be added in already installed WLP folders. I checked on my side for WLP 10.3.2 and I could NOT find the modules you mentioned. So most probably you may be missing some installation/configuration stuff from UCM side.

The iPod is brand new, sent to me by Apple as part of the 1st gen replacement programme. I've been using the cable that came with the 1st gen iPod (I bought the first gen second hand) It always worked on my computer with the 1st gen iPod. So I was wondering, do you think I need to replace my cable in order for my PC to recognize my iPod or is it something else?

Try a different cable. And are you connecting directly to your computer or through a USB hub?

Dear Richard Antony,
The Versioning in the Workflow is very important its some what simmilar to the version on any SAP Objets like Tables, Program etc.
Here Suppose any change comes in working workflow, then in stead of directly change them you can create a version of them and them modify it. So that you can reverst back to that version if required.
Like wise there is lots of importance of versioning Workflow.
The Active Plan version is also important to establish at SWU3. As all the Workflow is using Organization management which is very depended on the Active Plan version. so based on which Plan version you want to use you can Provide in SWU3 to tell Workflow system to use this.
Hope this will give you a clear picture.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Issues installing and running two pieces of software

I have tried to install and run two pieces of software so far without luck. Skype and Gimp, both appear to need X11 running which I believe I have done. When either of the dmg files are run either nothing happens or just the X11 command window pops up.

I am trying to burn and author a Blu Ray DVD. I do not have a usable version of Encore , as it has been discontinued. I currently have a Single App membership for Premier Pro CC.
I was advised to install Premier Pro CS6 as Encore comes with this package. I did this, and the software downloaded but an error message came up saying my membership had expired. I think this is because I do not have permission to run Preier Pro CS6 using my Premier Pro CC membership. How can I get the software using my current membership? 2. Rename the existing FF version and create new desktop short cut.

Jdbc thin driver 8.1.7 and views from older versions of oracle

Windows 2000 | jdk 1.3.1 | oracle's latest jdbc driver 8.1.7,
also tried 9.0.1 (classes12.zip), using thin driver
I try to select,using a PreparedStatment, from a view on Oracle
8.1.7, the view is linked to a table on Oracle 7.2.2.3.
I get different results when running the same query, I use an
older version of the driver to connect to the older version of
Oracle(classes111.zip), on the table directly and on the view.
This seems to be predominantly present when dealing with
integers.
Any comments or help would be appreciated.

I have found a workaround to this problem.
The only way, that I have been able to determine, of resolving
this issue is to use a Statement, not a PreparedStatement, which
causes problems for some reason. I figure there's a bug in
Oracle's JDBC layer.

Office 2013 Startup Problem with NEW Win 8.1 Install and no prior Office Version

Although I have seen similar threads on the forum, they all seem to address a different scenario.
My environment is as follows:
Intel MotherBoard with I07 max processor
64GB RAM
512 GB SSD Boot drive on which Windows 8.1 was installed as first and only O/S. It was validated
4TB HDD on which User directory and programs installed (those which permit drive selection in startup)
4TB data drive.
Machine was built from scratch with Win 8.1 Pro plus Media Center
Office 2013 Pro Plus was installed and validated
Machine is running in an MS AD Domain whose PDC is running on Win Server 2008 R2
User is a member of Enterpise and Domain Admin group
HERE'S THE PROBLEM,
Any Office 2013 Pro Plus application (Not Just Oulook) goes through the configuration step EACH time it is launched.

Try repairing Office in Control Panel -> Programs and Features, check the result.
You can also try this:
Go to the install folder, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15, find the .exe file for the application, let's take Word for example, WINWORD.EXE, right click on it, send the shortcut to Desktop, right click the
shortcut -> Properties -> Shortcut -> Advanced -> Check "Run as administrator" -> OK -> OK.
Start Word from the shortcut, you may need to go through the process again, reboot the computer, check if it will show up again when you start Word. If the problem doesn't exist any more, do the same to other Office applications.

This is completely off your topic, but I suggest upgrading to SBO 2004. 2004 is way more stable than 6.5. The functionality you get with 2004 is much,much better than 6.5. You will also get much better support for 2004. (seeing as SBO 2005 is now released - 6.5 is 2 major releases behind).
The SDK for 2004 also has much more functionality and you've got a working example with the code on how to create an Add-On install(and uninstall) package...

31.2.0 will not install just like two previous versions and my account is not recognized... again.

New version is available so I permit download and install. However, TB is not updated. This is not the 1st time this has occurred and NORMALLY a "fix" is provided by TB to correct the issue.

Please, definitive answers only (as far as possible), and read the question properly before replying - it save creating a useless and confusing thread!!!
My problem: New iTunes is awful, I like using 'CoverFlow) for navigation. Omitting it from the newer version is a mistake.
How to resolve?: Can I, in a newly created (seperate Win7 folder from 'Program Files'), install an ADDITIONAL (and older) version, so that I don't have to uninstall the existing newer one?
My music resource is on an external hard-drive, so, theoretically, is available to more than one installation of iTunes variants?
I am NOT going to uninstall the new one I already have, as this is a 'normal' install which I shall upgrade accordingly.
Can I install another, to work temporarily until iTunes put back into their relseases 'CoverFlow', by simply installing it in a different location/folder, and then pointing both to the music resource.
Anyone tried this already, maybe even for the same reason as me, and got a definitive outcome if it works or not, without causing any conflicts?
