Install audition in two HD?

Hi! After nearly ten years with my old PC I'm considering to buy a new one and wanted to know if it stills makes sence for the perfomence of Adobe to install te primerary and the secondary temp-file in two diferent hard discs (with CEP this was a frequent recomendation), or won'tI see any diference installing Adobe in one or two hd? Thanks!

Steve what about your audio files?
I know at one time with Audition 1.5 the setup called for a HDD for the OS, HDD for Audio, HDD for temp files.
Now with Audition 3.0, I sort of assumed that the HDD for the temp files was no longer needed.
Is the optimal setup to still have 3 disks or did I miss something?
By the way I finally got around to buying a 10k Velociraptor for my Audio drive the other day and all my GUI visual problems with scrolling and zooming are no longer!

Can't install Audition CC

Hi there!!!
I can't install Audition CC completely. It tells me installation was complete, but with warnings. It's about two modules has not been installed, the sonic wrappers ones, I don't know what they are for. I've tried almost everything, but no affect.

I don't need burning to CD's anymore thank goodness ;-) So as long as everything else is still OK I can return to work.

I own as above a MAC PRO (Early 2008) this has a RAID card installed along with two 15k.7 cheetah hdd (320gb) and a spare drive, (which i made a regular drive)
a while ago i had to replace the RAID card battery, so i did this, over a year later the same thing happened again, but as previous just left it and the system seemed fine for ages, until last night i was working in PHOTOSHOP and everything just froze and the screen kind of appeared GREEN, could not do a single thing. So restarted the mac, this time grey screen for ages and a message appeared, (macs version of blue screen) (see attached).
I restarted the machine and this time a flashing question mark folder!
could not do a thing.
so i found my copy of snow leopard and got the computer to run this and at least launch the DISK UTILITY and (Interestingly in the drop down menu RAID UTILITY was also in the menu) but it did not matter which utility i used the (RAID or DISK) neither could see any of drives, just the dvd drive.
so looked around on you tube and various forums and discovered if i take out the RAID CARD and re-plug the main lead from the RAID card back in to the LOGIC BOARD I would be reverting the MAC to a normal regular non-RAID computer.
After performing this HARDWARE task and inserting all three HDD, and running the DISK utility from the drop down menu via the SNOW LEOPARD disc.
(interestingly since the RAID card had been removed the RAID UTILITY from the drop down menu no longer appeared). running disk utility I can now only see the regular (spare) hdd and DVD Drive, but the two RAID HDD , again, still do not show up DISK UTILITY?
O.K. so i could chuck out the RAID card (AND RAID HDD) and just go with a regular set-up, and run a back restore from Time Machine on a NEW hdd purchased.
but what is wrong with the RAID, is the card at fault or are both HDD used for the RAID knackered? can i perform any tests, to see whats what?

hello people, the issue was in fact the GRAPHICS card nothing to do with the HDD or RAID system ( although this did cause issues with the RAID system it basically lost its way) below is my replay to another similar problem some one else had!
working in photoshop and then everything stopped working and the lot froze! only option was to force shutdown (via button).
and try to restart, hoping all was fine, this was not the case :-(
I had the added issue of the RAID card system, that i have, this was confused to say the lease and would not behave or work, causing the start up to hang.
so i thought the HDD must be bust and the root cause. ( but soon learnt it was not the cause )
...bought a new HDD removed the RAID card and replugged the cable from RAID card into LOGIC board, ( making the computer act like any normal non-RAID system). I managed to install the OSX, using the snow leopard disk way. once the mac was running, i started to notice the screen would flicker and started to see 'artefacts'. so i started to reveal my symptoms to the web and forums and soon discovered that my graphics card could be the issue all along?.
(nvidia geforce 8800gt 2x dvi).
I read up on that a fix, could be either A. reply the thermal paste, as the card could be over heating or B. stick the card in the oven trick.
Tried option A. first and nothing still issues, so last night took the plunge carried out option B. and ta da it worked! i even managed to run
from my new HDD my lasted install OS X, absolutely fine. I then thought, maybe i could repair my RAID so replugged all the HARDWARD back in and
carried out a disk repair and disk permissions on drives( took a small amount of time), via the SNOW LEOPARD disc - (Disk utilities) and this worked and now have my system working as it was just over 6 days ago.
what was the cost to get this? bought a new hdd so 40.00gbp and thermal paste and cleaner kit ( your still need to do this ) search video card trick on you tube.
and renew thermal paste, approx 15.00gbp, technically i don't need the new HDD, but it was all part of the trial and error way i went. ( i do have extra storage as a result!)"

I had installed Maverick on two computers. The firs one is a new MacMini that my husband purchased last week. When I had installed Maverick the applications Numbers and Keynote were free and installed on his computer. When I do the same on my iMac, I had to pay 19,99$ for each applications. They are only free via the account orginally purchased or if they came pre installed on the computer. Depending on what you have purchased already us the one account for the app store - saves headace and hassel in the future thus not double buying software. Do you have iwork installed on your imac? meaning the iwork 09? if you do your should be able to to to the store and update it. Worked fine for me since i bought the DVD version of iwork 09 and Aperture 3. I did not want to have to rebuy them so the app store noticed i had them installed and changed the update via the app store.

Unable to install Audition 3.0 on Windows 7.

I have been trying to install Audition 3.0 on my Windows 7 computer with no luck. It unpacks all of the files and then asks what language I want the installer to us. When I click on English that box disappears and another box appears on the screen for about half-a-second, too fast to read, and the computer just sits there.
I've read all of the messages about similar problems on this board and the suggestions offered are all things I've tried with no success.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the BootCamp Drivers 3.0 are on the OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard Install DVD.
Since your signature states "OSX 10.6.4" I assume that you have such one 'lying around'.
Just insert the DVD while in WIndows and the Driver setup should start automatically.
The 3.1 Driver download is indeed an update only and only works when the 3.0 Drivers are already installed.

Try restarting your devise by holding down the power button and the home button. The uninstalled app should disappear after a little while.

I am trying to install Audition 2.0 on my new computer after the old one died. I receive the "activation server unavailable" notice. I followed the phone and wesite prompts - but with no luck. Help?

Adobe has decommissioned the activation server for old software and provided links to non-activation versions.
You'll now have to download a fresh, non-activation copy of Audition 3

I just registered for a Creative Cloud membership. I want to install software on two computers. The internet connection on one location is extremely slow. Could I download everything on one computer and then install it on both from a portable medium.

I did try using the original downloaded files that were downloaden with the Application Manager. But when I tried to install it on the other machine, I got the message that the software was counterfeit.

Should be. By default, it is allowed to install Logic on two Computers (see license) . I have one Installation on my Macbook and the other one on the iMac.

I've just purchased ARD 3. Mostly, I'll want to use it from my office desktop machine, but when I'm on the road, I'll want to use it from my MacBook. Can I install it on both machines, and then have both machines as clients to each other?

You need to purchase two copies to legally install ARD on two administration systems.
Note that if all you need is to be able to control another computer, which is what most people want to be able to do from a remote location when it's only one computer, then ARD will be overkill. Look into the freeware VNC. That will give you control capabilities and not cost you anything. You can find VNC applications for Mac here. Most people seem to find Chicken of the VNC works well for them.

Issues installing and running two pieces of software

I have tried to install and run two pieces of software so far without luck. Skype and Gimp, both appear to need X11 running which I believe I have done. When either of the dmg files are run either nothing happens or just the X11 command window pops up.
I'm running a MacBook Pro with OS 10.7.4 13.5 inch
So what do I need to do to be able to run software on a Mac?

Can you explain why every time I try to install Skype it launches X11 and then does nothing else?
