Hello,
I try in english.
I split my HD in 5 parts.
I try to install all the programs on E:// instead of C:// which is full.
CC told me "not enough space on C://" ...
How can I decide where to install the Adobe programs?

I understand your new Windows 7 PC is not installing the drivers and software for your Envy 5644. I will certainly do my best to help out to see if we can get the printer installed correctly.
First of all, test a copy from the front of the printer to see if the printer is in good functioning order. If the copies work fine, then proceed with trying a Clean Boot on your PC, which will turn off all Start Up Programs in the case that one of them is blocking the installation. After the Clean Boot is done and the PC is restarted, try the installation again.

I understand you're installing USB. You can also try a wireless, or ethernet connection, or try a different USB cable and avoid any USB hubs.

i've configured my PC with a small C: partition
coz i don't need that much software,
and now i'm stuck with my iPod, coz all the application i download are saved in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Raphael\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Mobile Applications
it's ok for the Podcasts and music to be saved soemwhere else, but for the application i'm stuck!
i can't save my downloaded iPod application on my PC, because there isn't enough space on the main disk
any idea ?

ok i just found something
move all your applications to another partition
than in iTunes, get the information of the application, and simply relocate it
the problem when you've got lots of applications

Can I uninstall CS6 from my 2nd computer (laptop) and install it somewhere else, later on?

I currently have a desktop and laptop with my CS6 (student version). My boss has CC and told me I could install it on either my desktop or laptop to work from home and avoid having to save files from CC to CS6 version etc.
I think that's fine but I was wondering if I could uninstall my CS6, then if in the future I need to install it on another computer or back onto my laptop, can I do that? I still have the disks and everything.
Is there anything I should keep in mind?
I was also wondreing if it was safe to work on the design files directly from the company's dropbox rather than saving it to the computer?

With a single license you can activate the product on a maximum of two machines.
If you wish to use the program on a third machine you will have to deactivate it from one of the previous machines.
You need not uninstall the program though, you ca just deactivate the program & later on if you wish to use it again on the same machine, you can reactivate it.
Its not recommended to work on the project files saved on dropbox. It may result in undesirable response.
Save the files on the local drive & at the end of the day when you are done, transfer the files to dropbox.

What version of Premiere Elements is involved? And, what computer operating system?
Strictly from the point of view of removing a version no longer wanted on a computer, Deactivate and then Uninstall which are not the same
a. In an opened project, Help Menu/Deactivate or Help Menu/Sign Out (depends on version)
b. Then uninstalling from the computer the usual Control Panel way (assumes Windows).

Using the display on something else than a computer

Is there any way to use the 20-inch Cinema Display on something else than a computer? Such as using it as an external monitor for my HD camera? I'm shooting a short film, and I was wondering if such a display could serve as a video assist.

Apple displays aren't much use for any other purpose besides computer monitors. You can use add-on hardware to make them more flexible, but the add-on is so expensive you could almost buy another monitor.

Can I install ios5 from a computer other than my primary computer?

I have downloaded the Lion update in the office and would like to install ios5 on my iphone and ipad before going home, which is where my "primary" computer is, i.e., the one I use to sync. Can I install ios5 from any computer or does it have to be the one I have always used for syncing?

You can but if your office computer does not have your backups and iTunes Library from your home computer then the device contents will be wiped. I'd wait until you got home.

Brushes in PS CS5 paints somewhere else?

Hi, I am using Photoshop CS5 to paint my textures and sometimes when I do a brush stroke, Photoshop is painting that brush stroke somewhere else on the canvas, NOT where I am painting.
This is really weird, I have never heard of any glitch/bug like that before, it also does the same with any other similiar tool like the eraser and clone stamp.
I am not even using custom brushes, just the standard photoshop brush. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a known bug in CS5?

This has happened when video card drivers are not up to date.
Check the web site of the card manufacturer (not the computer manufacturer or Windows) for the latest drivers and install them.

How to install ovi suite to a drive other than C:?...

how to install ovi suite to a drive other than c:??? my c: drive is almost full with other partitions perfectly free to install it, how do i do that? can i use previous versions of ovi suite to use with my e63? at this point, i'm unable to use ovi suite at all, because there's no room to install it on my c: drive.
allllllllso there's one more thing, when i originally had tried installing ovi suite on my computer i had more than 1gb free. after installing it i on'ly had 500mb free. i had only intended for it to use a very small amount of space, and since i also use my c: drive for virtual memory i quickly uninstalled it, looking for an option i'd maybe skipped over while installing it the first time. no luck. anyways, when i looked in the add/remove programs control panel the installed size of ovi suite was only 40-50mb. even after uninstalling ovi suite the extra memory space that seemed to all of a sudden taken up by the installation stayed used.
when looking at the file sizes of everything on my hard drive, (including system files and paging file) there is still a descreprency between the amount of memory used and the size of all files total on the drive. at this point im quite disgusted and disapointed in ovi suite as i'm mostly unable to use it to connect my phone to my computer and i'm also having problems with the CA101 cable as well. i guess i'll have to go check for another cable.

Hi ostrenga4, sorry to hear about your experiences.
When installing Nokia Ovi Suite to PC, Windows makes "system restoration points", which are available to restore operating system to previous condition, if something goes wrong, for example in driver installation.
You can change install location of Nokia Ovi Suite with following:
- Download Nokia Ovi Suite install package from Nokia Ovi Suite pages
- Start Windows Command prompt
- From Command prompt, navigate to folder containing Nokia Ovi Suite install package, which you downloaded
- Start Nokia Ovi Suite install package with command line "Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller.exe /TARGET="D:\TestDir\Test"
- This results, that Nokia Ovi Suite installer creates folder D:\TestDir\Test (if that doesn't exist) and installs Nokia Ovi Suite there.
- Unfortunately, Windows Installer still keeps installer cache files and system restoration points in C: drive (or whatever your system drive is)
As you can see, this is possible, but it is very much recommend to have enough space for installing software into system drive.

No I don't have another computer. I was thinking initially I would put them on my ipad but since I don't have enough gb maybe I can store them in some cloud thing? Updating from the ipod itself is a feature of ios 5 or later.
You would need to update as always. Turn on computer, open itunes, connect ipod.
The first gen ipod will only go to 3.1.3

This is what I had to do to rever to Snow Leopard from Mavericks:
make an appointment with a genius at an Apple Store
they had to do a deep wipe (not the exact correct term, but deep was part of it) of my iMac, then reinstall Snow Leopard over top of it. We tried to restore from backup during the install process, and ended up in a total mess. So we had to start over and do another deep wipe, then they reinstalled Snow Leopard for me.
You need to bring some proof that you own Snow Leopard with you, then they will install it for free (and do it much faster than you can, because they install the latest version straight away
