Install Creme and MI Client on SD Card

Hi All,
Due to low memory in my device, I have tried install creme and mi client on SD card follwing the below instructions suggested by some one.
+Refer the steps mentioned below for MI Client + CreMe on SD Card.....+
Installing MI and data on SD ROM:
1. Copy the CrEme cab and the MI cab on to the device and install them. Register the MI Client.
2. Assign the application/addons/patches to the device, sync to get the appliation along with the data. (I have copied whole MI folder which is working in another device having db2e etc and data)
3. Move the CrEme folder present in WindowsCrEme to the SD Card directory.
4. Move the MI folder to SD Card directory.
5. Move the following dlls present in Windows to SD CardCrEme in
CryptoPlugin.dll
DB2e.dll
DB2eJDBC.dll
gfw.dll
gfwconf.dll
jscp.dll
jscpconf.dll
License.dll
6.Edit the crème_listOfJars.txt which is present in SD CardMI, change all the paths which are present in it to point to the new path. eg. MIlib ME.jar to SD CardMIlibME.jar. Also add a (quote) after -classpath and also at the end.
ie. classpath SD CardMIlibMDSD2.0CD.jar;SD CardMIlibdb2ejdbc.jar;SD CardMIlibME.jar;
7.Move the MobileEngine.lnk file present in WindowsStartUp to SD Card
8. Edit MobileEngine.lnk file. The new content should be as given below:
+255#"SD CardCrEme inCrEme.exe" -Of -ml 64000 -bcp 'SD CardMIlibSapBigDecimal.jar' -cf 'SD CardMI

9. Click on the MobileEngine.lnk file
10.CreMe and MI should load.
But when I gave the URL "http://localhost:4444/me...." a pop up message displaying as Cannot Connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap settings.
Can any please suggest how to install these in SD card.

this error is a usual thing!
You installed MI on the SD card. Problem with the WinCE operating system: the files in the startup folder are processed, before the SD card is available. So you want to start Creme, but the creme is on SD card and the sd card is not available. Unfortunately this is the problem.
Well, either you start the MI link manually after restarting the PDA from the startup folder. When you can do that the SD card is available as well and then it should wor fine. If it is not working, then you have done some errors in the configuration (misstypo), but usually ths is the problem. Make t worse: this error occures only in 90% of the PDAs, 10% of the PDAs work absolutely fine
On the other hand, use it like Victor said - but even then you could run into problems, cause Creme tries to start files in the MI folder. But cause Creme itself needs some time to init, usually this works fine.

Hi,
When you have downloaded the informatica software you will get 2 zip files (V20952-01_1of2.zip,V20952-01_2of2.zip). When you Unzip these two files you will find pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file.
Unzip this pc861_client_win32_x86.zip file and browse to this location pc861_client_win32_x86\Client\Disk1\InstData\VM, here you will find install.exe an executable file.This will install informatica client.
For installing DAC browse to this location DAC 10.1.3.4.1\dac\Disk1\install\win32 and there you will find setup.exe executable file. This will install DAC.

Why do I need instant client if I installed 11g1 and it works

I have a problem with oci8, php 5.2.6, apache 2.2 ...all are installed and working
All the instructions I've found (and there are many) talk about
(1) Zend installs what I already have
(2) installing apache, oci8, php and instant client form scratch
I am NOT going to reduce a working system to scratch.
BTW my oci programs work and they have in the past worked through a client.

What Oracle Software is installed on the machine: client or server?
I concur that there is no need for Instant Client here, indeed it would be a bad idea.
Anything that works with Instant Client should also work with the regular client.
If you encounter any Oracle-specific error messages, feel free to post them and ask for an opinion (even though this forum is reserved for Instant Client, it might be an obvious problem).

Looks like the Silicon Image drivers were moved to the incompatible software folder during install/upgrade.
Downloaded latest drivers, errored out of install claiming that the drivers were from an unknown author!!!
Emailed their tech support this evening describing problem.

Yoga 13 SDXC Card Shutsdown Computer and it cannot restart with card installed

I have read on the forum that people are using the SDXC cards with their Yoga 13's.
I have purchased a Sandisk 64Gb SDXC ExtremePro card but when I put it into the Card Reader a blue screen comes up saying " Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart." It also gives and error with this message saying: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (TosExt.Sys). It cannot restart again until I remove the card, the same thing happens in SAFE MODE also or if I try to start the computer with the card inserted already. The card is brand new and I bought it in a reputable shop. I have tested the card in a Lenovo ThinkPad X230 and it works fine. I have also tried to insert a different standard SD card into the Yoga but the same thing happens. I have reinstalled the driver for the reader but the problem still remains. The OS is Windows 8 64 bit. The card is in ex FAT format and I re-formatted it again just to be safe but still no luck.
I was not able to find anything regarding this online but saw that some people here have similar problems.
I would really appreciate if someone could help or at least let me know if there is a way of contacting Lenovo about this problem, I see that they will only accept emails regarding the ThinkPad product line.

I have also problems while inserting a sdcard but not on a Lenovo. I just give here what I observed but I have no direct solution
1. I bought last year a Samsung chronos and it was impossible to put a sd card. Each time I get the blue screen with the message page_fault_in_non_paged_area (tosExt.sys). When I contacted Samsung they of course do not understand and suggest that I reinitilize completely the computer which I did. At this moment it was possible to insert a sd card without problem but as soon as I have installed my usual sotfwares it came back to the same situation : impossible to put a sd card.
2. I bought meanwhile a second computer, an Asus Zen book, and got exactly the same problem. Both computer are operated under windows 8 but the upgrade 8.1 does not change anything.
3. the only way I can read a sd card in both these computers is to use a USB adaptor. In this case there is no problem.
4. I recently bought a Yoga pro 2 from Lenovo. Surprinsingly with the same kind of sofware installed, I can use directly a sd card.

The process is as follows:
Backup the phone, Erase it, connect to iTunes for the unlock process, then your iProfile can be restored.
You can go ahead and get the SIM, bout you have to Erase the phone and connect to iTunes before it will be unlocked.

Typeically if 10g is installed in /home/roacle/product/10.2.0, are you saying that for 11g, it would be /home/oracle/product/11.0.0 ?
How about switching the application? Does changing the ORACLE_HOME and PATH environment variable setting enough ? Let's say from
ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/product/10.2.0/client_1 to /home/oracle/product/11.0.0/client_1

Dear Experts,
i want to know whether there are some way to uninstall crystal report 2011 client manually?
IT has re-image my OS to win7 with crystal 2008 viewer on my laptop, and when i installed crystal report 2011 client i didn't notice that i have crystal 2008 installed on my laptop.
After i click on the setup program of crystal report 2011, the install window didn't tell me there is an old version, so i continue to install it but stuck at "tp.microsoft.msxml-4.0-core-32,14.0.0.760" steps for most 5 hours( no error messages, just seems stopped at there). I wish to cancel it, but the cancel button is greyed so i have to kill the process in task manager. After that i re-tried the installation and use remove feature to uninstall my crystal 2011, it succeed. I reinstall it again and it stucks at .microsoft.msxml-4.0-core-32,14.0.0.760 again(i suspect maybe the 2008 impact the installation, still don't know which can impact here. I found one post SAP CRYSTAL REPORTS 2011 installation error has problem while install cr 2011, but i didn't get any error.)
Then i found i have a crystal 2008 viewer installed so i uninstalled it , and reinstall crystal 2011, but i got errors like runtime error.
Could any one help here how i can manually uninstall the crystal 2011? The setup program is not working for me anymore.

As far as I know, there is no seperate uninstaller for Crystal Reports. You can try couple of options as below:
1) Download Microsoft Windows Installer and Cleanup Utility, install and try to remove CR 2011 using this utility
2) If option 1 doesn't work, you could try the following steps at your discretion:
Uninstall the Program using available method
Go to Registry Editor and remove any Businessobjects or Crystal Reports reference under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > " and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE >"
Go to Program Files and delete any folders on Crystal Reports. Also check under Common Files

Your expectation here needs to be adjusted. No one recommended contacting support. William just mentioned that *if* you have an issue and needed to contact support, they may decline to help you because you've done something explicitly unsupported.
For clientpatch, here's the specific documentation noting it as unsupported:

Additionally, I've also been in contact with the sustained engineering folks responsible for the CUs and they've reinforced the statement.
What can happen? Who knows? Microsoft does not test against unsupported configurations and features -- that's the definition of unsupported. It's not tested so no one really knows. They did find a couple of explicit issues (outlined in that post above) so
know that at least those exist and probably more since it is, as mentioned, abandoned code.
Why does it matter what can happen though? If the folks who write and support the code tell you shouldn't do it, you are simply asking for problems by doing it. Ultimately, you're asking a question that has no defined answer (except "bad"/unsupported things)
that really doesn't matter if you follow the explicit guidance. If you don't, as William points out, that's a risk for you take and an answer for you to discover.

I get this message when I try to TCP/IP settings in any network card.

What I have tried:
1. Removed card, did not click on "Remove driver". Then re-scanned in device manager. This usually leads to the network card showing up with a yellow exclamation mark, and I can not get it work again (have to use system restore).
2. Removed card, deinstalled driver, re-installed driver.
3. Rebooted a thousand times.
4. Used the Lenovo drivers.
5. Used the Intel drivers.
Doesn't matter what I do, I'm stuck with yellow exclamation marks in the end for the LAN and WLAN card, with not hope to repair them.
Driver version for the Intel 82579LM is 12.9.15.0
Driver version for the centrino advanced-n 6205 is 15.10.4.2
I'd really like some help on how to fix this so I'm able to configure my network manually.

For clarity, as your machine MTM number lists it with another type of WLAN adapter, and apparently, therein lies your problem.

Engine and NSMAdmin client refuse to install/work on DC

Hi,
I have a strange problem setting up Storage Manager 3.0.3 at a customer.
The customer has a server 2008 R2 64 bit DC especially for IDM purposes (IDM Remote Loader, Exchange tools for creating mailboxes and also intended to be the Storage Manager server for the creation of home directories after adding a user to AD by the IDM AD driver).
First i installed the Test environment. I tried to install Storage manage Engine and Admin console on the DC with a user that is member of domain admins, enterprise admins, schema admins.. the lot.
When i tried to logon to the Admin Console, the console gives me an error: authentication failed due to logon rights not being granted to the account. The admin console does NOT start with the rest of the setup and the user does NOT become part of the NSMAdmins group (the group is never created).
Well.. after a week of trying, i blamed the DC and installed in on a member server. It went well, the NSMadmin tool logged in correctly and the setup was continued. NSMAdmin group was created and everybody was happy.
This week i installed the QA environment. (Those are new clean servers) and guess what. EXACTLY the same problem. I did some additional testing by installing the engine and admin console on a member server + DC and tried cross-connecting:
- Connect from NSMAdmin client on member server to DC engine: Failed login, no Setup
- Connect from NSMAdmin client on DC to engine on member server: Failed login, no Setup
- Connect from NSMAdmin client on DC to engine on DC: Failed login, no Setup
- Connect from NSMAdmin client on member server to engine on member server: Success, install continues and asks for the license key etc.
All attempts where done:
- Using the same domain user
- Retried with a cleanly created domain admin user
- On server 2008 R2 64 bit (both DC as member server)

Do you have a forest with multiple domains?
Remember to specify the correct domain at logins and such, I remember
having some problems with that.. some things pointed to the wrong (root)
domain.
Our test environment has NSM on the the DC, in production we run NSM on
