Install CS3 without CD?

My computer recently crashed and I am looking to re-install Photoshop CS3 on my new PC. My new PC does not have a disc drive, so I was wondering if it was possible to install CS3 without using the CD?

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

  • How to install CS3 without cd?

My photo editing computer is on the fritz (bad motherboard, unfortunately) so I am left to temporarily use a reformatted 10 year old Dell Dimension onto which I am attempting to install CS3. It appears that both the CD and DVD drives on the old computer do not work. I attempted to contact online chat help through Adobe but it was completely unhelpful. Does anyone know how i can install CS3 any other ways? I have my original cd and activation key, I just can't use the cd drive. I also was told by the adobe "customer service rep" that they could not help me because I am using a version of photoshop that is not current. I think that is a bit ridiculous. They should be able to help regardless of the version I have. At any rate, does anyone have any ideas? I can't afford to purchase a new version, so that isn't an option.

I've run the microsoft fixit program for both drives. It says that updates were made however in both instances the drives are still not functional. I've tried updating the drivers manually, but that hasn't helped either. The OS was just freshly reinstalled, so everything is starting from scratch. The interesting thing is that the OS cd worked, however nothing else will (I've tried a few different cds). I'll try to copy the installer to a jump drive.

  • How to install CS3 without a disk

    Hello,
A few years ago I purchased Adobe Design Premium CS3. Since then I purchased CS4 Design Standard and recently on my new iMac Pro i installed CS5 Desin Standard.
I want to reinstall Dreamweaver, from my old Design Premium CS3 bundle, on my new iMac. I have the CS3 serial but not the install disk. I don't seem to find a CS3 download on the Adobe.com website. And is it even possible to install a CS3 Dreamweaver next to my CS5 Design Standard bundle?
    Sebastiaan

I have the CS3 serial but not the install disk. I don't seem to find a CS3 download on the Adobe.com website.
Old versions are not available for download, unless you purchased the download then you can re-download for up to 3 years.  Something important to note is that the installer for upgrades does not require the older version of the software to be installed on your computer.  As long as you have a valid serial number you should be able to install the program with the old serial number.
And is it even possible to install a CS3 Dreamweaver next to my CS5 Design Standard bundle?
Yes.  The only thing that cannot be done is running multiple versions of the same program at the same time, for instance Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS5.  They would be allowed to run separately but not at simultaneously.
One thing you should note is that DW CS5.5 is part of Design Premium Suite.  The $399 upgrade from your CS5 Design Standard would give you InDesign CS5.5, Photoshop Extended, Flash (Pro & Catalyst), Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

  • Can I install CS3 without disk? Have key registered.

My old laptop crashed and of course after my move, I can't find my cs3 disks.
I have my serial key registered through Adobe (shows up in my "sign-in" info when I log into the website) and all.
I tried finding the download files through the website but it kees tossing me to cs6 and well, I can't justify that money when I had cs3...
Thanks for the help in advance. I was thinking I'd try to contact adobe by email but apparently I can't do that and the call wait time is heinous and the link to chat apparently "has been deleted" anytime I click on it... Sigh.

This might help, also read the instruction on the page to avoid error.

  • Trying to install CS3 Premium

I am buying CS3 Premium. The person who is selling it to me has done the licence transfer, although I've been waiting 3 weeks for an email about this and it hasn't arrived (from Adobe).
So, I thought I'd try it anyway. He's selling me his complete upgrade sequence, PS5.5, CS2 Premium and CS3 Premium, so I can follow the same path he did. Yes, he's de-activated and uninstalled everything.
He also sent me the list of his registered applications, a screenshot from his account. It shows he had PS5.5 and CS2 Premium registered - looks like he didn't register CS3 Premium.
So, I installed CS3 - no luck. Right at the end of the process I was asked for the CS3 sn, fine, that works. Then I'm asked for a qualifying sn, fine, the CS2 sn was accepted. Then I was asked to enter a 2nd qualifying sn, for CS2 upgrade. All I've got is the upgrade version, which was accepted as full version, but not as an upgrade. Don't have another serial number, not offered any more choices.  Even though I have PSCS2 standalone entirely legally installed (registered under my business account). Oh, and PS7, if it matters. Also totally legal.
OK, uninstall CS3 (properly) and start again.
Install CS2. All goes well. It installs, using the sn from PS5.5 as well. I register it, I activate it.
So - the transfer must be OK and legit, or I couldn't have registered it, right? Because it WAS registered to the bloke who's selling it to me. I have proof. And I have just registered it. Yes, using the correct email address.
Try again to install CS3, without uninstalling CS2.
    CS3 serial number accepted.
BUT now I need the sn for CS2.3 Premium to continue. Not CS2. That one is rejected. Has to be CS2.3.
So, I go to open a question in support - but I can only ask a question about my registered products - which allegedly do not include CS2!!!!!
Before I enter telephone hell, can anyone spot a flaw in all this?

So, I uninstalled CS3 while waiting for my issue to be resolved, trying to stop the clock since it was running as a trial. Did it via Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers > CS3 Uninstaller. (Mac 10.4.11).
Right at the end I came back and saw a screen saying it was done and stupidly hit 'Finish' before reading the small print that I think was about this:
I still have an InDesign CS3 folder (looks like a generic folder), with an unknown document inside, called InDesign CS3 but it's not, and a fonts folder containing a file called AdobeFnt11.lst, which opens as an empty document.
Can I just bin these? The uninstaller has disappeared now so I can't have another look.

  • Installing CS3 on a Computer that is pre-installed with CS4

I purchased a laptop that is licensed to pre-load CS4 Master suite. I receive no cd or serial number or anything. I called Adobe to make sure that this was legal and was told that Adobe does do this with big sellers. Anyway I received the first laptop and did a migration and because I have other CS versions on my computer the license for the CS4 disappeared. I sent the computer back and I now have another. I am teaching at two different schools and still need my CS3. Adobe advised me to not install CS3 because they share some folders or something. Is there a way to install CS3 without ruining CS4?

never heard of preinstalled Adobe software
to install CS3 you must uninstall CS4 then install CS3 then reinstall CS4.
CS3 and CS4 both coexist together.

  • Uninstall CS2 after installing CS3 -- any gotchas?

I have just installed PS-CS3(upgrade) under WinXPsp2 and would like to uninstall CS2 now. Will this create any problems with PS-CS3?
    Thanks.

    folks,
Thanks for the advice. I have been using Focus Magic. Mask Pro 4.1, and DxO. Now I am interested in Image Ready, so will check it out.
It was probably not wise to leave CS2 sit there while installing CS3 since I have many Lightroom Databases that have Preferences set for opening CS2 when editing an image outside of the program, but these all seem to have been automatically reset to CS3, at least for the first choice of two designated applications.
I wonder if I have missed an Adobe site that iterates such possible conflicts and consequences of installing CS3 without uninstalling CS2?
I have reached an age where reading software manuals is not my idea of a good time, my current copy of CS3 sitting here for 6 months before installation because I knew i would have to deal with these kinds of issues.
Your help has been invaluable as has this forum in general. THANKS.

  • I may have totally screwed myself but...after installing Yosemite without checking first, my CS4 Design Premium suite wouldn't open. So I deinstalled it, but I only have disks for my old CS3. When I got the CS4 upgrade I downloaded it. What can I do??

I may have totally screwed myself but...after installing Yosemite without checking for potential problems with Adobe software, my CS4 Design Premium suite wouldn't open. So after consulting some forums, I deinstalled it, but I only have disks for my old CS3. When I got the CS4 upgrade I downloaded it, back in 2011... What can I do?? Everything was fine before I upgraded that *#$%* Yosemite.

You can find the CS4 download here: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs4-product-downloads.html

  • Installing Design Standard CS3 without Flash Player 9...?

    Hi,
I hope someone can advise me here?
I would love to be able to install Design Standard CS3 without the Flash Player 9 Plugins... Both Active X and Plug-In versions.
    Is this at all possible?
I have scanned through the various XML files on the install DVD and have seen entries for both Active X and Plugin versions of Flash Player 9 in the setup.xml file.
Removing these lines from the XML doesn't make any difference and Flash Player is still installed as part of the CS3 install.
I have also tried renaming the folders containing the Flash MSI's and the installation fails at the 'Shared Components' stage.
I'm obviously missing a trick here but hoped someone might know the answer?
    Many thanks,
    Gav

I'm sure there are deployment instructions and tools for CS3 somewhere in the Dev Center. If this is only for your own perusal, then don't bother. any isntall of a newer version of Flash Player will superceed the old one.

  • Install Bridge (CS3) without installing Photoshop?

We use Bridge (with CS3) to work with the metadata for batches of photographs.  Problem is, we don't always want to install Photoshop on the workstation.  We've tried to merely copy the Bridge (we have a few licenses) to the Applications folder, but it's not without a few problems.
So my question is, is there a way to install and use Bridge without having to install Photoshop itself?
    Marty Martino
    [email protected]

Two thoughts immediately come to mind:
    • Bridge started out as—and to a great extent still remains—nothing other than Photoshop's Browser.  It has changed only its name.  Personally, I knpw of no way of installing Bridge without installing Photoshop.  Conversely, I know of no way of uninstalling Photoshop harmlessly without also uninstalling Bridge in the process.
    • It's absolutely hilarious to read that anybody would ever want to install Bridge CS3 all by itself, as Bridge 2.x in CS3 was probably the worst piece of software ever released by Adobe or by any major software development company.  Now, Bridge 3.x and 4.x in CS4 and CS5 respectively I might buy, but Bridge in CS3?
    Please!

  • Problems installing cs3 on windows 7

Does CS3 install and work normal when installed on a windows 7 system? Some say it installed / worked just fine. Others that they had problems installing or getting it to run. Others that it depens on which windows 7 system you have. Etc. etc.
What do I have to take into account when installing cs3 on a windows 7 machine? I know it's not designed for windows 7 but I rather use cs3 then cs4.

No one yet. I'm thinking about bying a laptop which has windows 7 already installed (I think home edition), but googling I found various topics of people having trouble getting cs3 master collection to work (programs of master collection not being installed, error messages about missing windows files etc, etc.). Which version of windows 7 should I have to make cs3/cs4 work? Or should I be able to install cs3/4 on any windows 7 computer without any problems? Or should I do anything specific before installing?
I'm a little worried that I won't be able to use cs3 (which I much rather use than cs4) when I buy a new computer with windows 7.

  • Error installing CS3 on Win7

Hey. I am trying to install CS3 Web Premium on a Windows 7 machine we just bought from Dell.
The installer installs the shared components and Acrobat 8 but fails at everything else. I have tried turning off UAC, the firewall and running the installer in comparability mode and as administrator.
Windows event viewer shows this error from the installer:
Product: Adobe Version Cue CS3 Client -- Error 1920.Service ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## (Bonjour Service) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I have installed it on another Win7 machine without issue. (Though that was a scratch built with a retail Win7 install rather then a per-installed machine.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

try cleaning and then reinstalling per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
p.s. right click the setup/installation file and click 'run as administrator'.
