Install CS6 on both stationary and laptop

I have purchased CS6 and have it installed on my stationary PC. I was told I can also install this on my laptop (Mac). But when I put the CD in I have no option to install it. How to do this?

You can't. Standalone serial numbers are platform specific. Only Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

No. 10.6.3 was the last retail release of Snow Leopard. Download the 10.6.8 Combo updater and put it on a flash drive to make it easier to install the largest part of the update.
Also, don't push the same disk image of SL to your Macs unless they are exactly the same model as it was originally installed on. The wrong hardware drivers will otherwise be in use.

It seems that you have used the AppleIDs to "Purchase" your devices, which marries the two for all time and eternity.

I am installing CS6 Master Collection Student and Teacher Licensing; I am in the middle of the process when I get a dialogue box asking for a second serial number for the Acrobat X Pro, I tried to add the initial serial number in order to start the install and it says it is not a valid serial for this product, what can I do?
This is suppose to be included in the suite right? why is it asking me for a second SN?

Contact support directly by phone or web chat. Nobody here can straighten out serial number issues. If you have older versions of Acrobat installed, uninstalling them or running the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and Acrobat Cleaner Tool may resolve any potential conflicts.

Basically, here is the deal. I have been working on a couple projects in CS5 but just bought CS6 creative cloud as I want to start using it. The question I have is, can I still use CS5 to finish up these projects and install CS6 at the same time so I can start working on new ones in CS6? Or do I need to wait and install CS6 once I am completely done with the projects that are using CS5. I understand that CS6 would be able to open my CS5 projects, but I just want to finish in CS5 since that is what I am used to.
Also, on a side note. With the cloud, will I be able to install CS6 on my desktop at home and my laptop? Thanks.

Yes.
CS6 installs into a separate directory to CS5 and can still be used at any time after CS6 is installed.

Yes, each Adobe license permits a maximum of two activations. So you can install on two separate computers.

[SOLVED] Pulseaudio, sound coming from both headphone and laptop speak

I switched to PulseAudio a while back, everything is working fine, except I can't find a way to get sound "only" in headphones.
"Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" has three Ports: 'Analog Output', 'Speakers' and 'headphones'. Choosing Speakers give no sound, and choosing Analog output and headphones gives sound from both headphones (if it's attached) and laptop speakers.
I have pavucontrol installed but can't find any option for it in it either. Any suggestions?

That code looks specific to that sound card, though I tried it anyways, by changing
device=hw:M2496
to
device=hw:1
(where 1 is index of my card), but now I can't get any sound from my sound card. I have commented out those lines, removed .config/pulse, restarted pulseaudio, restarted laptop, but I still can't get any sound from that soundcard anymore. (EDIT: Apparently sound was muted in Kmix (thought it wasn't in pavucontrol), don't know how that works, maybe I missed something, anyways, I am again getting sound, but everything else is same.)
And my original problem still remains.
I am assuming if I know the names of channels (for headphone and laptop speaker), I can create a new sink/source and use that to route the sound properply, but I can't figure out exactly how to do all that.

Installing WRT54G with both Vista and XP OS Access

First, I'm a new member of this forum.
I'm am preparing to update to a new Linksys WRT54G router. We have one computer (HP 8100N) which has Microsoft Vista Home Premium installed; but our other 3 computers all use Windows XP SP 2. The Linksys WRT54 G and Linksys Router are all plugged into the Vista machine ---with one other PC (Gateway) and 2 laptops (Toshiba and a Dell) all connecting wirelessly.
RIght now things work ok --- but it's been 5 years since I've made any major changes. However, I've experienced a rash of virus challenges lately and suspect somehow the router has been compromised; hence my desire to completely change it out. At the same time, I'm not too excited about creating problems with the Vista and XP connectivity.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Apology to Forum if this is posted twice; it appeared not to go through the first time.

I have experience with both, Vista and XP. I use a MBP 15" 2GB RAM and I have had great success with both. I really no not overload my system. I have software to connect to the internet and full office 2007 Suite. So, mostly internet and productivity software. No major issues with either.

Throughout the years I have bought the individual Adobe products
I have two copies of CS6, one for me and the other for my daughter
I want to download my copy to my destop, I have always used on my laptop but now, on occasion, I can do my 'playing' at home so would like to use my desktop.
Is this possible?

Well I have tried to install on my desktop.
To be fair I don't know which one I've let my daughter have and which one I've put on my laptop.
When installing on my desktop I got the message to fill in the code of the serial number to upgrade from. I have got rid of all my old boxes so I don't know previous codes.
I have had all the Illustrator, and photosphop products from the nineties, plus the design and creative suites, but have had a clear out of the boxes.
So I don't know my previous codes.
When I sign in to try and find out my complete history of products in only has the latest registered products.
To try and get a complete handle of my two versions of creative suite and to try and deactivate old computers etc, I keep getting directed to opening a creative Cloud subscription at £40 per month which seems way over the top for a home single user.
And then when I have opened a free trial it still doesn't seem to help find a solution

Can i install a HP Photosmart 5510 on my desktop using the usb connection, and access the same printer from my laptop using wifi? Desktop is XP Pro and Laptop isn 64 bit Windows 7.

You can, but why? The 5510 is a network-able printer. Connect it wirelessly to your wireless router and be able to print AND scan from both computers.
Sharing via USB will only sharing printing, not scanning. It is hard to set up and the host computer can never go to sleep!
