Install CUE 8.6.1
Hi,
I have an ISM module with the wrong image (SRSV instead of normal CUE)
I have downloaded "cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1" and I am using the command:
service-module isM 0/0 install url ftp://cisco:[email protected]/cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1
from the router global configuration mode.
I get the following question:
Delete the installed Cisco Survivable Remote Site Voicemail and proceed with new installation? [no]:
I press y
and then I see:
%Error: Couldn't open ftp://*****:*****@10.1.10.1/cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1.install.sre
Execution of script cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1.install.sre failed, installation aborted
From the log files from freeftpd I can see that the router successfully connected, what I don't understand is that it searches fro the file:
cue-vm-full-k9.SPA.sme.8.6.1.prt1.install.sre
Anyway how can I install CUE 8.6.1 ?
Thanks,
JH
OK, think I found it.
I need to download the zip file and use all files.

Is it possible to install cue 8.6 on sre 900 with raid 1?
Hi.
Is it possible to install cue 8.6 on sre 900 with raid 1?Dear John
Thanks for ur quick reply. I never used tis formum before, so I am sorry for being too unclear..
Anyway, what mean is this:
I want to buy a new laptop as my old lap top has Windows XP and 'suffers' from a lot of things! On this old lap top I have installed Premiere Elements 10, and I just want to know if the 'old' version 10 will work in Windows 8, as it is not mentioned in the system requirements here:
http://www.adobe.com/eeurope/products/photoshop-premiere-elements/tech-specs.html
I hope it is more clear now?
Thanks!

2911 ISM and CUE: Do I need to (re-)install CUE for GUI access?
To all the experts out there, I am volunteering with a IPT (Voice) install for my Church. They have a 2911ISR router, which I am trying to setup / configure for a small office configuration.
The question is as stated: Do I need to (re-)install CUE to get the GUI (web UI) to work? It shipped with CUE 8.6.6 on the ISM-SRE-300-K9 module. But I'm not sure if it is because the GUI isn't there or if I have configured the interfaces and route incorrectly.
Here is the software list on the ISM:

Can you confirm the GUI files are there, or are they missing; in which case I need to (re-)install CUE?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. It is greatly appreciated.Hi Kevin. I do have that in place.

Could the router side interface be the problem? Here is how it is configured:

I should be working on the router in the morning, so unless something obvious is indicated in the above config listing, I'll post a new 'show run' as soon as I can.
Thanks, Jim. -

Installing CUE on the SRE module.
Hey guys, got a question that has been irritating me to no end for the last couple of days. I am setting up a 2921 and have an SRE module that I want to install CUE on but I can't seem to get the FTP to work correctly. I load the package, get the language selection and wait for the module to reset and then I get the error that has been my bain for a couple of days now. Any insight on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Below is the error as well as my configuration.

Any insight on what I have messed up? This is the first time I have had to set up a CUE and used Cisco's document for help here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/ism-sm-sre.html#wp1140891
This was helpful but doesn't correct my problem and need some additional assistance as you can see. Thanks for everything! As requested, here is the information displayed from the CLI. All files that need to be there appear to be there unless I am missing something?

As the install goes on the router, it gets to the .key file and errors out with the messages provided earlier in this topic. The file is indeed there though... -
CUE 8.6.1 Install
Hi All,
I've been tasked with installing and configuring CUE 8.6.1 on two routers. I was able to install the software on both routers and install my licenses and get everything set up (integrated with CUCM). One router works perfectly. On the other, we can't dial voicemail from any phone, it goes straight to a busy signal.
We've compared configs on both and nothing stands out. The only difference I notice is that when I login to the Web Interfaces for both devices and click About, the one that's working says:
Cisco Unity Express - Administration
Version 8.6.1
The one not working says:
Cisco Unity Express - Administration
Cisco Unified IVR Express
Version 8.6.1
I installed CUE on both ISM modules the EXACT same way and no matter how many times I uninstall and re-install, I still see Cisco Unified IVR Express and am unable to dial voicemail from the phones.
Here's the kicker, we had another ISM module from a previous install that was running CUE 8.0.5, so I put replaced the module, upgraded to 8.6.1. I click About and see:
Cisco Unity Express - Administration
Version 8.6.1
And the phones are dialing voicemail now. We're being told that the other module (with Cisco Unified IVR Express) is defective, but I'm having a hard time believing that. It seems like it has something to do with the software install, and for some reason I can't install CUE 8.6.1 without Cisco Unified IVR Express and I feel like that's causing the issue
Anyone have any ideas? Please let me know if you need anything from me. Thanks.Hi Dustin,
You and Paolo are certainly on the right track here +5 "P"
Here's a clip from the licensing guide;
Note Each IVR session consumes one port and thus reduces the number of ports available for use by voicemail or auto-attendant applications. Please carefully consider how many IVR session licenses you need and only install or activate licenses for that number of IVR sessions.
If the number of IVR session licenses is greater than or equal to the number of ports, then voicemail and auto-attendant applications will be disabled due to the lack of available ports. The
show license status application
command will indicate this condition by stating the error message "voicemail disabled, ivr session quantity (x) is equal to or exceeds available ports (Y)" where X is the number of IVR sessions and Y is the number of ports. To change this condition, either reduce the number of IVR sessions via the command
license activate ivr sessions N
(where N is less than the number of ports and may be zero to deactivate all IVR sessions), or remove the IVR session licenses, or add more port licenses, and then issue the
reload command.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel7_1/Licensing/Using_CSL.html#wp1065047
You will need to deactivate the IVR sessions and you should be good to go.
Cheers!
Rob

Can someone help me pleaseHi Pavel,
If you are running this with CME then you are trying to use the wrong license file, note the _ccm_;
cue-vm-license_xxmbx_ccm_3.2.1.pkg
License information package for a 12-mailbox version of the Cisco Unity Express with VoiceMail application that works with ***Cisco Unified CallManager. For all Cisco Unity Express modules: AIM-CUE, NM-CUE, NM-CUE-EC & NME-CUE.
For Callmanager Express - CME it would look like this, note the _cme_
cue-vm-license_xxmbx_cme_3.2.1.pkg
Hope this helps!

BibinHi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.

CUE: AIM2-CUE-K9 License problem
Hi all!
Ok, I´ve the following scenario:
Cisco Router 2811 with CUCME 7.1
AIM2-CUE-K9 Module
The CUCME is working perfectly, now i´m trying to complete the installation of the CUE, so i´m using the software available for the mentioned module at cisco.com. The problem is that i don´t know how to get the license for this module. First, i tried installing CUE 8.6 software but i didn´t find the license at the download section of the support page for this module, so i tried using CUE 7.1.1 software (the lowest version available) and then installing license for 7.0 and i got this error:
ERROR: This type of license is obsolete.
To install licenses use the "license install" command.
Please see http://www.cisco.com/go/license for additional information.
So, my question is, how can in solve this? do i have to buy a license for CUE 7.1? I don´t know how to use cisco license page, so i don´t know if there is any non demo license available for 7.x versions of CUE. Thank you in advance.
Regards.

Compiling XMMS-Cue[SOLVED]
Hi!
I'm trying to install .cue plugin to XMMS to enable playing .cue
But my compiling crushes on some weird error.
interface.c:182: error: "atoi" was not declared in this scope
make: *** [interface.o] Error 1
How to fix this?
Last edited by Anttonius (2009-02-15 16:36:22)It's a bash script that makes an Arch package, which can then be updated through pacman, etc., and uploaded to the AUR for others to enjoy.
You install packages from the AUR with them - you download the PKGBUILD and any other needed files, like patches, and then you run makepkg to make a pacman package to install.
I would highly recommend learning to write PKGBUILDs (It's not too hard) and making one for your app, so you don't end up with random files scattered across your system. If all your software is managed by pacman, it's much cleaner. There's also a forum here for requesting someone to write a PKGBUILD for you.

Cisco Unity Express and Default L-FL-CUE-PORT-2= Amounts
OK, curiosity question:
The various SM-SRE modules, when installed with Cisco Unity Express, are supposed to have a default number of ports available. For example, the ISM-SRE-300-K9 module is supposed to have two ports on it by default when installed with Cisco Unity Express.
When we order these modules from Cisco, they come pre-installed with CUE and the correct number of ports (default + purchased ports). However, when we order from distribution, i.e. Tech Data, Ingram et. al., the modules come in blank whereupon we have to install CUE (no concerns here, it's easy-peasy), and then go through the hassle of contacting licensing to activate the two default ports. Every time I call in to do this I have a different experience.
Does anyone know of a better, quicker, simpler way to activate these default ports? No offense to licensing, but I could save a lot of time and brain cells if there was a way for me to activate them on my own.
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
KevinWhen you order from Disti, do they give you a PAK code? If yes, you should be able to activate it online:

CUE 231 editor installation issue
I am installing CUE editor 2.3.1 on a company laptop. When I run the program the window just pops up and goes away.
Am I missing something like a version of java?Yes I do, it installs but doesnt run.
I see the opening page flash and go away. -
Where are all the CME menu options in CUE 8?
First time installing CUE 8.0.1 and it appears that the CME menu options are missing. This means I'm unable to modify the extensions, phones, call transfer patterns, etc, from the CUE GUI. I've searched through docs to see if something has changed with the new CUE 8 GUI changes but never found anything. Am I missing some config or is this the new way of doing things for CME/CUE?
Thanks,
Dan"Brandon/All,
Opened a TAC case on this, apparently CUE version 8 removes the CME menu options.

I am sorry to informyou that on CUE GUI 8.0x you don't have the phone and extensionoption any more by default. This was design to work this way. If you need this option you can log in to the CME GUI or downgrade to CUE 7.1that still has this options on the GUI."
Thanks Cisco...for making our jobs more difficult.

Error when using 'service in0/0 session' command.
Good morning everyone,
I'm having difficulties with one of my companies UC500 systems. It has been sitting for a number of months with no use, and we're putting it back in to production. When I attempt to take it offline to backup it's old config, I get a kernel panic (the full error is attached below). I can stop the panic and get it back to a working state. But in the course of doing that, the system won't save any config changes I have made. Are the hda1 errors on the bottom of the message anything to do with the CF cards? Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Stephen.
