Install deleted music app

Hi, I have a ZTE Open and its working very nicely, but when I opened looked at it today, my music app seemed to have disappeared. I don't think I deleted it through the normal process when I was debugging my app earlier today so I'm a bit confused.
Anyway I would really like my music app back and can't find it on the marketplace. I tried installing the Gaia version onto the phone using the App Manager but it seems the github version is not currently working.
Whats happened?

Hi thanks for the reply,
yes I have tried all the screens to the right so maybe I will have to factory reset.
I think it would be a usefull feature though to either be able to install gaia apps from the os or otherwise from the marketplace in case you lose them or delete them in some way.

  • How do I empty trash after deleting music, apps and photos from my iPhone to make more room for upgrading to iOS 8.1?

How do I empty trash after deleting music, apps and photos from my iPhone to make more room for upgrading to iOS 8.1?  It says I don't have enough room to upgrade so I have deleted some of everything but do not see an improvement in my storage space. Help?

    No need to empty anything.
You can update by connecting your phone to iTunes on your computer. This way you bypass the space limitations.
    Good Luck

  • HT4528 I've had my iPhone for about a year now, but for some odd reason the "App Store" isn't showing up on my phone and I can't install/delete any apps. Help?!

So I've had my iPhone 4 for almost a year now and I've never faced this problem. I cannot access the app store because it isnt on my phone.

Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to your associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go to https://getsupport.apple.com. Click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.

  • My Pre-installed music app has been deleted from my phone, how do I get it back?  It is not in my purchased apps.

Help, my pre-installed music app has been deleted from my home page.  It is still in the settings but no app to play music from.  I love my music!
    Starrbelle

Locate it- Scroll through the home screens !
Hold your finger on it till the icons start jiggling now move it to the left of the screen and hold it there.
In the back ground the homescreens scroll back towards your first screen.
When you reach the first home screen position icon where you want (If you have sixteen -the last one will move to the second home screen)
Whilst they are jiggling choose which ones you want on the first home screen.
You can also add access to more by creating folders containing similar types of apps by dropping one app icon on another icon as well.
When finished organizing press the home button to fix the setting.
Similarly you can add or remove app icon short cuts from the dock to suit your preference.
When you move them off the dock they are added to your home screens. (think of the home screens as an analogous to the desktop of your PC

  • Is the IOS 7.0.2 music app deleting albums for anyone else when they try to play them?

Ever since updating to iOS 7.0.2 when I play music on my iPhone 5 it's skips through the songs and deletes the album/artists selected.
I have tried plugging into iTunes, deleting all music and transferring it all back but after a few days the problem came back
Is anyone else experiencing this and or found a fix?

Yep - deleting anything that's not purchased on itunes when I try to play it.
This is terrible, and especially a pain when they're things like limited edition albums where tracks are only available direct, so going for iTunes match is not gonna help.
Only other variable to consider is that I installed the "Groove" app to try out a few weeks ago, and played music with it twice. Highly doubt this is related, however non-iTunes purchased tmusic tracks also show up there and now *crash the phone* when I try to play them so it's something system-wide.

  • HT4208 how would I delete the installed games or apps in my ipad3 through apps store?

how would I delete the installed games or apps in my ipad3 through apps store?

Press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. You cannot delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. Music, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

  • Built-in music app malfunction, how can I delete and reinstall?

The built-in music app on my iPad 2 is not working.  When I get into it all I get is a black screen with the ability to play one song from one album.  I get the albums, songs, artists, etc menu across the bottom of the screen, but nothing happens when I select these. Does anyone have any suggestions? do I need to delete and reinstall the app? If so, how can I do this, as I can't find the music app anywhere to download and reinstall ....

You can't delete and re-install it as it's one of the built-in apps. Have you tried closing the Music app completely and seeing if it works properly when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Music 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Music app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I just purchased the new Nokia windows phone.  How do I delete an app that I installed but don't want to keep?

You are welcome! I played with the 928 in a Verizon store and really liked it. Besides the great camera and Nokia Maps, I'd be pretty excited about Nokia Music, too. As I understand it, this free app lets you create playlists from its entire music library, which can be stored on your device to listen to any time.
There are a few members on the WP board who are really knowledgeable about Nokia and WP, so let us know if you have more questions.

  • How to delete an App I did not install on my machine

My son's school requires them to use MacBookPro's (three cheers).   His laptop broke so I restored his Time Machine backup to an external drive which is attached to my desktop system.  That way he could keep up with his work until the repairs were complete.  Somehow, during the restore process,  the App Store decided that the apps that he and his school used were now legitimately installed on my system. They show up whenever updates are available.   My son gave me his username and password so I can at least do the updates (I tried deleting the apps from my machine and - as many threads have repeated - the App Store keeps the history so I get notified regardless).  The apps he used were all free ones so other than being an annoyance, there is no serious problem.  The difficulty comes in with apps which the school had licensed for and installed for every student.   That password is a tightly guarded secret which the school will not give out no matter what (nor should they).   I can not expect them to come to my house (several hundred miles away) and log in to the App Store on my machine to do the updates.   I've notified the school of what has happened so when they get their usage logs from the vendor they do not think I intentionally made pirated copies.
Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of these apps (which I do not use and am not licensed for) ?  This is a fundamentally different question that the old war horse of how to remove something from the App Store purchase history.   As a result of trying to provide a stopgap for my son, I have the appearance of having expensive, unlicensed software on my machine.  Because I do some work for the US government, the auditors periodically have me proove that everything on my machine is fully licensed and legal.   I've explained what happened to them and while they "understand", they say they have zero flexibility to allow me to be out of compliance.   Since the "violation" is associated with me individually, even purchasing a brand new computer will not solve the problem.
    Help !!!!

Thank you.   I had already done the things you suggested but did not know that my son had made a clone of his drive elsewhere on my machine (he just wanted to be sure that I didn't accidentally delete his "stuff").   Your response got me to search everything and not assume that everything was in the applications folder.   Once I found his clone, I deleted it and the problems all went away.

To delete an app from your iphone, press and hold any icon until they all start wiggling. Apps that you can delete will have a circled x in the top left corner of the icon. Tap that circled x to delete. Tap home button to stop the wiggling.

  • Every single song I delete from iCloud on my Mac remains listed in the Music app on my iPhone 4S, and then becomes broken -- What the heck?

    Hello,
So this is annoying me to no end because I just spent $25 to sign up for iTunes Match and so far its wasted my time and given me nothing but a massive headache. This is obviously a major bug on the SERVICE END, not mine.
Starting with an empty iTunes library on my Mac, I began ripping my CDs in iTunes Plus AAC format the other night with the intent of matching & uploading my entire music library into iCloud for streaming & downloading to my iPhone 4S on the go. Simple in theory, right? After some basic tag editing -- changing genres, a simple alteration to a title here, deleting the composer there -- and then updating iTunes Match (Store > Update iTunes Match), I notice I'm getting duplicates of a bunch of my songs appearing on my iPhone. I haven't downloaded anything to the device, they're all just listed with the cloud icon next to them.
So I'm thinking, whatever, I screwed something up. I'm only several CDs into the process so I'll just delete the iTunes library and start over again. Shift + right click, delete everything. Do you want to delete these songs from iCloud as well? Yes. Update iTunes Match. There are 0 songs in iCloud. Okay.
The songs are still showing in my iPhone Music app. Strange. Swipe to delete does nothing, they're not on the device. They're pointing to files in the cloud that are either no longer there or somewhere that I cannot access anymore. Broken aliases. The album artwork still shows up, but playing the songs just kicks me back to the album menu. Navigating to Settings > General > Usage > Music shows me there is no data on the device. 0 bytes.
One thing I notice is that sometimes after syncing a handful of these broken songs will show up in a "Purchased" playlist on my iPhone within the iTunes browser -- I haven't purchased any music from the iTunes store, not one song -- and inspecting them with right click > Get Info reveals them as Stream files, not iTunes Plus AAC files.
Turning iTunes Match off and on again both from within iTunes and on my iPhone does nothing.
Syncing wirelessly or via USB does nothing.
Backing up and restoring my iPhone does nothing.
Double clicking the Home button and quitting the Music process, then opening it again does nothing.
Hard resetting the iPhone does nothing.
This is something that's happening with my Apple ID on the service end, not locally or on the user end. As long as iTunes Match is turned on in my iPhone settings, all of this broken music -- everything I've matched to iCloud and deleted -- shows up. I've done everything within the parameters of proper usage, and iTunes tells me there is nothing in iCloud after it updates but my phone keeps seeing crap that isn't -- or shouldn't be -- there.
I WANT to use iTunes Match, I just paid 25 freaking dollars for it, but its completely busted for me right now and I know ripping and matching some more CDs is just going to make it worse and populate my iPhone with an even bigger broken library. I just ripped and matched one more CD an hour ago without editing any of the tags, just let iTunes Match do its thing, and then after right clicking and following the prompts to delete the 18 songs both from both iTunes AND iCloud its still showing up on my iPhone. Busted like all the others.
Can we please get an update on this as soon as possible? This is driving me nuts and I don't know what else to do.

    It's a slightly convoluted process.
Disable iTunes Match on your iPhone
Settings > Music > Itunes Match
Now, make sure you've killed the Music app by double-tapping the home button, and deleting the app there where it is running.  Important step. The app should not be active.
    Next step:
Settings > General > Usage (it takes a while to load) > then delete the Music app there
Power your phone down, and back up again.
Sync your music via iTunes like you always have ...
... and this should fix your problem.

I also have this problem with ios app and have reproduced the problem on multiple devices. It only happens when i use OTA installation process with exported ipa. I am following the apple docs for ios distribution for testing. I am not using a 3rd party (testflight, betatesters etc.) for this, its an internet facing  web server (azure) with all the proper mime types etc. setup. The install works fine, meaning i get the correct prompts to install, my app installs and runs, but I end up with an additional phantom icon, usually hung in an "installing" state, basically like prabu4u shows in his scenario. This icon/app can't be deleted using standard means (via xcode, itunes, hard/soft resetting of device, changing device language settings).
here is a brief section of console log, that is similar to prabu4u:

I do not believe this is a network, connectivity or web server issue. The udid of my device (and other test devices) are registered in the protal, they are all running updated version of ios7.
I believe its an issue (caused by me) with the provision profile (probably the distribution) packaged in the app. I have validated that the profiles are in the portal and are synched with xcode5 using organizer->devices->iphone->provisioning profies. it shows both the ios team prov profile and the ios adhoc distribution profile created from my developer account. They both show valid profile status with expirations in 2014.
I have done clean builds, rebuilds and redeploys of the exported ipa (generated using ad-hoc deployment scheme in xcode5), but the end result is the same. I always end up with the phantom icon.
I have read other posts that say they use a 3rd party tool to delete the icon, which is fine, but I really want to avoid this by correctly developing and depploying the app.
any ideas on where i made my mistake(s) ? thanks, bob

My iphone 4 has no data storage. I have deleted all apps, music and texts and it still says I only have 1.9 GB available. There is nothing in my storage.

The problem could be that you don't have enough storage on the device itself, not on iCloud.  Go to Settings>General>Usage to see how much "Storage" you have available on the device.  Farther down the list is the available storage on iCloud.
    Also check:
Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage; there, tap the device you need info on and the resulting screen lists Backup Options with which apps store data on iCloud as well.  Tap Show All Apps to get the complete list of apps and MB used for backup storage.
A device needs many MB of storage in order to perform a backup to iCloud.

How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1 and my Photos, Videos, contacts, music, App data, etc. was deleted. How can I all the data back?

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.
