Install dreamweaver on a second machine

I need to install Dreamweaver on a second machine (laptop) so that I can take with me to the person helping me with our website. How do I do that?

If you are on a Creative Cloud Subscription, simply go to the below mentioned website and install the Desktop Application Followed by Dreamweaver on the target machine and that should resolve the query for you .

I own the master collection of CS4 and CS5. I have CS4 on home machine A, and CS5 on home machine B.
The corresponding Dreamweaver version is also installed on the corresponding machine.
Problem: I need to install either of DW version on a third machine, C, for a project I'm working on away from home.

I assume your Master Collection CS5 is an upgrade from your Master Collection CS4.
You're using one license of CS4 on machine A and one license of CS5 (upgraded from CS4) on machine B?

3. Depending on how long you need to run DW on machine C, can you install the 30-day trial or do you need DW permanently on machine C?

Issues Activating CS6 on Second Machine

I hope this is the right place to ask this, can't get through to Adobe tech help on the phone.
Several months ago I bought and installed CS6 on one of my machines. Today I installed it on my second machine and everything seemed to be working fine. However, now when I open a program it asks me to sign in with my Adobe ID to activate, or the program will stop working in 7 days. Once I put my credentials in, I get an error message and that's it. I'm going to attach a picture of both screens. I have had this happen everytime I open a program, so I know it's not somehow actually getting through, and I'm definitely using the correct credentials. Any help would be great.

Thanks for the link! I double-checked all of the troubleshooting options and still having the same issue. Little background that might be helpful: previously I had installed Premiere Pro and AE (the individual retail versions, same version as CS6, but not in the suite). So now I am just using CS6 suite to add a couple individual programs. Is it possible I'm having issues because I have multiple product keys and whatnot going on on this machine? That's the only thing I can think of...I'd rather not wait for an hour on hold with tech support if this is an obvious issue.

Steps to install on second machine

Hi... Last night I purchased, downloaded and installed OS X Lion onto an external usb hard drive that was (before installing Lion) an exact clone (used Super Duper) of my main Hard Drive on my MacBook Pro... I want to run it for a while from this external drive before I decide if I am ready to commit it to my main hard drive on the MacBook Pro...
I think I am allowed to install Lion on up to two additional drives with this one purchase??? Do I have that correct??? But the bigger question is the exact procedure to follow when I do decide to load Lion on to my main MacBook Pro's hard drive... I booted into that drive which is still running OS X 10.6.8, went to the App Store and clicked on "Purchases"... I see there the OS X Lion icon and over at the right I see a button that says INSTALL... When I am ready to click that button in a few days, what will happen??? I assume it has to download the entire 3+ GByte installer file again, right??? And then would it take me right in to the installer like it did when I first installed this on to my cloned external usb drive???
It's this second install that will be more important to me than the first and I just want to make sure I understand what should happen... Any feedback would be much appreciated...

Thanks much... I downloaded it again last night to put it on my second machine and just prior to doing the install, I found it in /Applications like you said and saved it to a backup drive just in case I need it again later... thanks for the help... bob...

Download and install just like you did originally. Since you are allowed to have two activated installations there is no need to deactivate on the old machine unless you prefer to uninstall it for the open space or to have an extra activation still available. You can download via the following page:

You should be able to find the serial number via your Adobe account online.

Installing Dreamweaver CS6 on WinXP Pro (was: I give up!!!!!)

Has anyone ever successfully installed Dreamweaver CS6 under WinXP Pro? The install went OK but when I try to launch DW it starts the launch and after 3-4 seconds of the launch process it quits/exits. I have tried everything on multiple forums such as de-install, cleanup, re-install under Admin account, delete and install new admin account, registry cleanup, install with NO user programs or services running, deleting profile folders etc. Oh yes, I successfully installed it on my laptop under Win7 and it runs fine. I have been struggling with this for a week or so. Anyone got any ideas?

For CC you need Windows 7 or Windows 8 so forget about it until you get a new machine.

Okay to Install Dreamweaver on new computer when one crashes?

The computer Dreamweaver was installed on crashed. Can I now install it on my new computer using the serial number from the Dreamweaver CS5.5 CD?

If it was only installed on one machine in the past, you can install and activate without issue on a second machine.
If it has been installed and activated on two machines previously (Adobe licenses allow two installs at the same time) you would need to deactivate one. You "might" need to contact Adobe customer support if it won't activate.

Creative Cloud for Teams - Trial only Software on Second Machine

I recently purchased Creative Cloud for Teams for my office. Currently there is only one license, I am the licensed user as well as the Team Administrator. I may be wrong, but I thought that my license allows for me to install apps on two machines, but any app I try to add to my second machine is always in Trial mode and prompts me to either buy a new Cloud membership or enter a serial number.
I tried deleting myself as the user, re-sending the invitation to join the CC for teams, clicked the link in my email to accept and set up Creative Cloud Desktop on my second machine, made sure I was signed in to the account and tried to download Photoshop, Lightroom, and Muse, but can't get them out of trial mode. I tried updating the apps, and I also uninstalled them completely, signed out of Creative Cloud, cleaned my browser cache, signed bask in and reinstalled the software, no luck. I'm still prompted for serial numbers on my second machine.
Am I doing something wrong?

Okay, so now I'm back to being able to use CC for Teams on my work machine, but not my home one, even after the billing issue was fixed. My subscription is active and is paid up to date, but nothing will get rid of the trial mode in all the apps on the second machine. I'm the administrator for the Team account, we have one license currently and it is assigned to me using the same Adobe ID and password. I tried removing myself from the license and inviting myself to join CC for Teams again, opened the email on my second machine and accepted the invite, and downloaded the CC desktop app on the second machine... all apps still download as tirals. Uninstalled CC and all apps, reinstalled, ntohing. Went back to my work machien, signed out of CC completely, signed in on the second machien.... same thing, all trial software, always prompted for serial numbers even after I sign in.

Are you trying to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine, or vice versa?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

What do you mean fuzzy? I have CS4 on Windows XP but I don't understand your terminology. It is grey in color but all DW versions are more or less like this.
i can post a screen shot of what is on my machine if it would be of any help.

Need help activating photoshop cs5 on second machine (mac)

Hello i have adobe photoshop cs5 on my windows desktop and had installed it today on my laptop which would be my second machine, i download and get to the serial number part which i referred back to a email that activated it and put that in. Each time i try to put it in i get a message saying "that code is not valid for this product" now i noticed it said cs5.1 is that any different then just cs5?

No such thing. You simply cannot use Windows serials on Mac and vice versa. Serials are platform specific. If you want to run your softwware on your Mac, you need to use Bootcamp or run an emulation environment like Paralles Desktop.

Installing Arch in a VirtualBox Machine

I'd like to give Arch a try installing it on a VirtualBox Machine in Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit)
I followed the instructions in the Beginners Guide
but my installation failed (after rebooting you can't go past grub).
I would like to make a second attempt, but this time I would like to have a clarification first (just to be sure)
In section 2.3 it is shown how to configure VirtualBox and certain packages to install are listed.
I figured that since the instructions used pacman, I had to install these packages during the installation, i.e. they have to be installed
IN VirtualBox, rather than in the system on which VirtualBox is installed (in my case Ubuntu). Is this correct?
I hope I will manage to get through the installation this time (it doesn't seem too complicated, but I can't understand why my installation failed).

It doesn't matter what your host OS is (Ubuntu, Windows 98, etc). If you follow the Beginners' Guide, the instructions are for installing Arch Linux. It doesn't matter if you're installing on a real machine or on a virtual machine. The process is the same. For VirtualBox in particular (doesn't apply to WMware or QEMU), there's the Guest Additions package, which will get you shared clipboard among other goodies. But that comes in much later. Like I said, the installation is exactly the same - appart maybe from establishing an internet connection, because dhcpcd is ran automatically.
It doesn't go passed GRUB probably because you forgot to generate a grub.cfg, or you used "/dev/sda1" instead of "/dev/sda". Or you used GPT instead of MBR and didn't create an empty 2 MiB partition (Syslinux doesn't need one).

Trouble downloading/installing Dreamweaver CC

I successfully installed Acrobat Pro XI through the Creative Cloud desktop app. I then went to install Dreamweaver CC and it got 90% through the extraction process and has been frozen at 90% for over 40 minutes. Is it glitched? Should I end the process, remove it, and start all over again?

Can you please check the permissions on the machine ? It seems like that its getting stuck while doing the update installation . Have you tried a new Admin account on the machine ?
