Install drivers online on winPE 3.0

Hi,
I need to install the drivers for LAN and Printer in my WinPE image online.
Can I install these drivers online If I have the driver's cd?
Which command will be used?
What are the necessary files (dll/exe/sys/inf) that should be in driver's cd folder?
Will the command run in unattended mode?
Thanks
mchauhan

WinPE is not licensed to be used as an operating system. For what reason is there to want to add printer support to WinPE?
I see you crossposted this question from another forum, see the responses to your thread there regarding using DRVLOAD to add a LAN driver online.

  • Is it possible to install Windows 7 without using BCA to install drivers and using the support 5 software for drivers on my iMac 2014?

What I am wondering is if I can install Windows 7 on my iMac 2014 without using BCA to install drivers and using the manual download Support software without bricking my system. The issue is that I recently moved into the country without a reliable data connection, so I'd like to download all the drivers from when I'm in town generally. Any info is appreciated.

    Hello,
I'm trying to purchase inexpensive computers for my classroom. One of the computers I'm looking at is the new $200 HP Stream 11. My school's IT department said it might be difficult to install the district's copy of Windows 7 on these computers if I purchase them. Does anyone know if it's actually possible to uninstall Windows 8.1 and install Windows 7 using an external USB or external CD Rom Drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The District is right to say what they told you they can't install Disctrict Windows 7 on your computer because they have a license agreements with MS and doing so will violate their Terms of Agreement. And you shouldn't be asking something like that to start with. If that laptop can't install Windows 7 it then your stuck with WIndows 8 unless HP has downgrade to go back to Windows 7 on it otherwise if none exist you will not get any drivers or support for it. You best luck is to find a used Windows 7 laptop and order the HP recovery media for it and wipe it clean to factory install and register it to you and that will give you a Windows 7 maching to start with.

  • Unable to set up printer when installing drivers.

My office uses a HP Deskjet 4620 wireless printer. And we just ot a new computer, so we tried to connect the printer to the computer via wireless.
The computer was able to detect the printer in Device and Printers. And it shows up in the Devices and Printers. As we have not installed the driver for the printer, we ere unable to start printing. So we went online to the HP website to download the drivers for the printer. We started with the basic driver. But when insalling, and after choosing wireless mode, we saw the 'checking network environment' bar fill' and it told us to plug in the USB. we refused and since the printer is alreay on the network, where other computers are using it at the time, we chose the ' rinter is already connected' option. The printer's wireless is lighting with a blu light, so we chose 'printer is connected' option, which told us to input the printer's iP address. So we did, but after pressing 'NEXT', it said that the driver is unable to find the printer.
We have rechecked the ip address, which is the one displaed on the printer.
We have tried printing with another PC, the printer works fine.
We have tried plugging in the USB cable, but even when the PC detected the printer, the setup is not able to find the printer, as the 'next' button was greyed out even when attempting to set up while to connecting via USB.
Windows was able to detect and attempt to install drivers for the printer, but the drivers installer was unable to add the printer.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Please click the wireless icon on the printer and locate its listed IP address, be sure to clarify the exact IP address, subnet mask and Default Gateway of the printer.
On your PC keyboard click the Windows logo and the R keys simultanly, then type CMD into the Run dioalog and click OK.
Type IPCONFIG and click on Enter.
Locate the IPv4 information of your PC (you might need to scroll up).
What are the IP Address, subnet mask and Default Gateway of your PC?
What happens if your type the printer's IP into your web browser? can you access the pritner homepage?
What security software you have installed on your PC?

  • Install drivers (help)

I have an 2gh Core 2 duo Imac and I recently installed windows XP to it using bootcamp.  Then I used my Leopard install DVD to install the drivers.   Everything seems find except that Windows XP can't find my wireless card.  I think the problem may be that I didn't use the OS install DVD that came with my Imac (lost it) and I used the Upgrade DVD to move upto Leopard.  I tried searching with google to help fix my problem with no luck at all.  Is there a way to make my mac burn a disk with the correct drivers or maybe a way to get the correct drivers online?  Any help would greatly appreciated.

Not quite sure what version your using for an OS. What version is your Upgrade disk? Leopard or Snow Leopard?
It's been awhile since I've used an upgrade disk but you should (?) be able to use the upgrade disk to install the drivers.
Just insert the Leopard upgrade disk while booted in Windows and see if it will install or "repair" the drivers and then use the Apple updater in Windows to update the drivers.
You might also try downloading the 2.1 Boot Camp drivers for XP from the Apple Downloads page and see if that helps. Don't forget to update to 2.2 after your done.
You won't be able to use 3.0 as it only comes on the Snow Leopard disk. There is no other way to get it. You cannot use 3.1 or 3.2 without having 3.0 installed first.
You can also contact Apple to sell you another copy of your original disk for a replacement cost.

  • Can't install drivers. unknown error

    gents,
I suddenly can't install drivers so that my new iLok and my Logitech USB-Dongle aren't working. I did a backup of all drivers from another Win7x64 systemdrive and extracted them. The Drivers were working on that system and am there.
Still I got a FILE NOT FOUND or similar error.
I checked the SETUPAPI.DEV.LOG which I copied below. Can anyone see what's the problem with the iLok driver f.e. ?

    Hi,
The two component work in different configuration pass.
The Microsoft-Windows-PnpCustomizationsWinPE component is used to add one or more out-of-box drivers to a Windows installation. Drivers that are located
in the path specified by DriverPaths are copied to the driver store of the Windows installation during the windowsPE configuration pass.
The Microsoft-Windows-PnpCustomizationsNonWinPE component is used to add one or more out-of-box drivers to a Windows® installation. Drivers located in
the path specified by DriverPaths are copied to the driver store of the Windows installation during the auditSystem configuration pass.
And the log is still showing PE stage.

My daughter gave me a new Ipod (Nano) for Christmas.  I had no problem download my songs from my old Ipod (Shuffle) to the new one.  However - since I do not buy songs on a regular basis, I did not buy a new song until 4/29/13.  Now for information...sometime in March my old laptop died, completely.  I had to go buy a new one - which I did and this new one has Windows 8 Operating System on it (which I hate, btw).
Now, when I bout a song on Tuesday, the song did not go to my new Ipod.   I tried everything and finally had to talk to a tech - who was very kind in helping me and we did get all my songs from Itunes to this new computer.  I thought the song I bought would then go on the Ipod - but it did not.  I had already hung up from the tech - since we had been talking on the phone for about an hour.  He informed me that he was giving me a "courtesy break" because it has been over 90 days since my new Ipod was purchased ---- just my darn luck!
Anyway, I have figured out on my own that the new Ipod Nano is not synced with the new laptop with Windows 8.  I have been trying for the last 2 hours to get it to do so and in doing so, found out that Windows 8 is not mentioned in any of the help forums.  So...my question is:  Do I need to install drivers on the computer or what?  I will not be purchasing anymore music from Itunes until I get this matter resolved.  Any help will be apreciated. Thank you.

  • Problem with installing drivers Audig

I re-installed my PC today, but I can't get my SoundBlaster installed properly.
I downloaded the latest driver for my Audigy 2 on Windows XP SP2:
    SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe
After the installation process on the final Windows reboot it ends with a generic critical failure. The drivers seem installed, my PC finds the Audigy 2 after installation, but the control console doesn't appear, nor am I able to find it in the Creative directory. I do get sound, can play MP3's etc and hear game sounds, although I am not 00% sure whether eax is working properly.
I also tried to install the old drivers from the CD-ROM, which worked. When I use the auto-update afterwards and the driver is installed the console is still there, but doesn't work anymore with reporting that: no soundcard installed/found or something like that.
I tried a couple times and with driver cleaning in between etc, but can't get it working.
Is the current driver broken or do you have some advice on what to do?

it's possible that you don't have nvidia graphic adapter.
for bluetooth issue, make sure you switch the button ( probably front side of your computer ) and activate bluetooth by pressing fn + f5 ( activate it )
after then, if you have bluetooth device, you can install drivers.

  • Can I install the online version rather than using my dvd? it successfully installed (up to a point) that way, it just wont accept my serial number for some reason. my dvd isnt working properly.

Can I install the online version rather than using my dvd? it successfully installed (up to a point) that way, it just wont accept my serial number for some reason. my dvd isnt working properly.

If it gets far enough to reject your serial number, it won't help to download it. It must have installed ok.
What is the message you get (DON'T tell us the serial number!!)?
Does it mention a "qualifying product" by any chance?

  • Vista 32 - ipod not recognized, failed to install drivers, disconnecting

    Hi to all,
I have experienced a problem with my brand new Ipod classic 80GB and was flustrated by it. It took me some time ro research internet to find a fix for this problem and i would like to share it with you to have it at one place. If such article exists here i appologize, i did not find it myself.
    _The problem:_
Ipod in Windows Vista 32 *cannot find/install drivers*. Ipod shows up for couple of seconds and then *automaticaly disconnects*.
    Solution:
i have found solution that worked form me at this site
    [http://teknobabble.wordpress.com/2007/08/18/vista-driver-problems-installing-a- usb-media-reader-a-solution>
Thanks to the autor of this article and i hape this helps some of you having the same problem as i had

Can you be specific as to what drivers are not installing? An issue that can be had when doing PNPEnum is that child devices of something that does not have a driver installed are not visible to the PNPEnum. A way to get around that is you can force the
injection of drivers that are not getting installed. Something like you can add a second Inject Driver step but, have it be a selection profile of drivers that always get missed because they are children.

  • Can no longer install drivers and touch screen not working anymore

I have the HP 520-1130ea all in one PC. Its a touchscreen. I have Windows 7 home premiun 64 bit operating system.
it has been working fine for the last two years and on Friday 11th april, i connected my android tablet (samsung Galaxy tab 7.0) to my pc and it could not install the drivers so my PC could not see the tablet.  Last week this worked ok. I attach my tablet to my pc using a USB cable and transfer files by usb transfer. I dont use any software at all.
I have tried to reinstall the drivers for the android tablet and i get the error code that the drivers were found but they cant be installed. Access denied.
I have also tried to restore my pc to the last time everything worked ok which was just a week before the problem started, but the restore has failed on 4 occassions.
I have now deleted all updates on my PC from last week and i think I have deleted something or failed to allow something to isntall (a box popped up when i restarted the computer after the update delete which I ignored)
No my touch screen no longer works.
I plugged in an external hard drive to back up my computer and I also could not install the drivers for that too. this just happened today.
My printer is connected to my PC and that still works ok.
I have been battling with this for 4 days now and ploughed the internet for solutions and no hope in sight!
    I have also tried:
    1. installing optional updates. no luck there. also some of the updates failed
    2. giving myself full control on the system 32 folder in windows.
I am the administrator on the PC.
    HELP PLS!!!

    Hi compnewbie,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you very much for your thorough post and detailed steps! I see that you are not being able to install drivers, and I would be happy to assist you!
The first suggestion I will make is to boot your computer in Safe Mode. To do this, please follow this document on Windows 7 Safe Mode. No extra software will be loaded, which will make this driver issue easier to troubleshoot. In Safe Mode, try to connect your external drive.
If you still cannot connect your external drive (or any other USB device), I recommend following this resource on Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7). This should help diagnose any potential hardware problems with the computer.
If you are not able to detect any hardware problems on your computer, please follow this document on Restore files from a backup.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I will diligently follow up with you!
    Best regards

  • IPod Nano (4GB) Not Installing Drivers

I ran the installer software on the installation CD and re-booted as instructed.
On re-boot Install Shield dialog box comes up does something and then goes away. Boot continues normally.
Checked iPod Service and it is running.
Plugged in iPod and Windows tells me that it has found new hardware and wants to install drivers. Device Manager shows "iPod" under "Other Devices." I let it search for drivers but it doesn't find them.
How do I get the driver installed!?!
    Thanks.

hmmmm. ipods use the standard Windows USB mass storage drivers. so if it's asking for drivers at that stage of proceedings, the techniques in this MarkJones post might be of some help:
MarkJones: Re: Windows XP (SP2) Laptop only finds generic "New USB 2.0 Device"

  • Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer

Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Reads the error message I purchased an RaLink USB Wireless adapter IEEE 802.11 b installed in an XP Pro system, an Intel D925XEBC2 MB with A P4 CPU 3.80 GHZ
I have 4 gigs of RAM installed but it reads only 2.87 RAM on system properties
I installed the RaLink Drivers and the Ralink interface. I get a strong signal and see that the wifi is there but cannot connect. The 1394 Net adaptor #2 is showing as is the USA wireless card
I was asked to install the PIN which I assumed meant the network security but my keyboard will only input numbers not the letters, otherwise the keyboard operates properly on notepad but not on the RaLink software
Under other devices it shows  both the Ethernet controller and the Network controller with a question mark "?".
I have tried uninstalling and starting the computer several times but they will not install correctly.
The windows interface shows no wi fi system at all. After going back and forth now both windows and the RaLink interface shows no wifi system.
When I went to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18717  and downloaded the 32 bit file and tried to install it I got the error.

    Hi there,
you're in the wrong forum, but I'll try to guide you.
(a better forum for your question would likely be this:
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/networking?tab=Threads )
Your RALink wireless adaptor is not manufactured by Intel, that's why Intel driver download won't help you.
You need to go here (RALink is now Mediatek) to get the drivers for your adaptor
    http://www.mediatek.com/en/downloads/
    Good luck! :)

  • HT5628 After running bootcamp, DVD drive is detected by Windows 8. But after installing drivers, no longer can detect. Device Manager shows that DVD drive is unplugged! Drivers in Bootcamp "removed" the DVD drive!

After running bootcamp, DVD drive is detected by Windows 8. But after installing drivers, no longer can detect. Device Manager shows that DVD drive is unplugged! Drivers in Bootcamp “removed” the DVD drive. I think there is an issue because I reinstalled Windows 8. If I don't install driver, then I have reduced functionality (no Apple keyboard, no sound etc), but once I install driver, I lose my DVD drive.

Hi, guys, I have had the exact same problem since the summer of 2010. Here's what I was able to find out.
Deleting upper/lower filters, running all those Fix Ya programs and other Microsoft crap is useless. This problem is most certainly has nothing to do with registry of any software on your computer. I took my HP 9620us to a couple of repair places and, they tried a lot of things and it appears that the root of this problem is a faulty motherboard connection. Of course, it costs about 400 bucks to fix it so I'm not sure I want to pay this kind of money.
Anyway, if somebody was able to fix it PLEASE post here to let us know. Again I am 99 per cent sure it's some piece of hardware in the motherboard.

  • Officejet 7500A installing drivers, missing dll file, can't scan

I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional, using first the cd, I installed drivers to use my Officejet 7500a on my wireless network, during installation it said it could not find file HPWia2_OJ7500_E910.dll and asked if I wanted to continue.  I did and in the end could not set up the scanner.  So per HP website and uninstalled all software and reinstalled, this time from the HP site.  Same exact thing occurred.  Again, worked through the process and uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again, same problem, "can't find file".  Scanner is the one thing that doesn't work.  Printer appears to work fine but I really need to scan as well.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

    Hello aaatexas,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with installing the printer.
I'm going to give you a Microsoft link that will show you how to do a clean boot in to the computer.  Once the clean boot is finished and the computer is restarted, please attempt to reinstall the software and drivers for the printer.
Here is the link for the instructions on How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions or concerns.
    Cheers,
