Click on the button "Certificates"
Select the drop down box "Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP)" change to "Best Attempt"
Select the drop down box "Certificate Revocation List (CRL" change to "Best Attempt"

  • INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE : nothing works

    Hi,
I've got an iMac 2011 with Snow Leopard (10.6.8), all software updates done.
I've got the error INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE while trying to get an app on AppStore...
I tried to change as described in many comments the certificates configuration (required etc.) in keychain, it does not work for me.
I tried to reinstall 1.6.8 combo, does not help...
I checked the console, I've got this error
    31/01/13 11:23:05
    App Store[590]
    *** Assertion failure in -[ISDistributionManager verifyDistributionAtURL:allowsDevSign:error:distributionController:], /SourceCache/Pisa/Pisa-60.8/Source/ISDistributionManager.m:162
I've got my correct id entered...
    Somebody could help me ?
    Thanks !

  • INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE when trying to buy anything

    Hello everyone,
I ran into the INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE problem today. I solved it by choosing "best try" for OCSP and CRL in the certificate tab of the preferences dialog of keychain access - it was set to "needed, if the certificate demands it" (or something similar - I am using the German localization).
It may be that I had changed this setting some years ago and that this setting was still there after updating to 10.6. But I am not sure if the new setting (best try) is secure - so would please anyone who can use the MAS successfully check what setting he/she has in the above mentioned dialog?
    Thanks,
      Dirk

    Hey all,
I'm getting an INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE error when I try to install or update anything using the Mac App Store. My system time is correct and I've tried repairing permissions as someone else suggested but it's not working.
Any one got any other ideas?

If I want to buy an App from the App Store I get this message. My itunes Account works well.

Thanks to Dick Vollmerhaus & Ted!
    It worked for me, too.
Now, I am a bit of security freak so I thought I'd test it if one of these two does the trick. And it does for me!
For Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP): select "Require If Cert Indicates"
For Certificate Revocation List (CRL):  leave on "Best Attempt"
    Priority: select "Require both".

I am having a similar problem. I get one of two errors: "We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (null)" OR "We could not complete your purchase INSTALL_ERROR_DISTRIBUTION_SIGNED_BY_APPLE".
I am having this trouble on a brand new MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.1. My firewall is off and no virus software is installed.
I can download and update apps on a different computer using OS X 10.6.8 just fine.
    Any other recommendations?

I may have a solution - by way of agilebits support:
    Go to this folder:
    /var/folders/lb/4yjq70x91n978zj6vvr3qd2m0000gn/C/com.apple.app store/412056820/
    delete everything (two files)
    try again.

  • My MacBook keeps powering up on it's own.

However today I bought it to work and it's working just fine, when I shut down it stays off. Tech did a quick hardware check and found nothing wrong. Any suggestions?

Sent to Techs and turns out they had to replace logic board. Glad I had ext warranty.
Just for FYI if a tech replaces your logic board make sure they reset the date & time. My tech didn't and although it appeared to be working fine when I tried to download or get updates from App Store got the following message - We could not complete your purchase Install_Error_Distribution_signed_by_Apple
I could open Safari and cruise around ok but when I attempted to log into anything got the following error -
Safari can't verify the identity of the website etc.
Rang Apple support and they suggest I update software, which I did to no avail. However while checking out all errors before ringing apple back noticed the calender was wrong (3 days behind) once I updated the calender all the problems vanished and so far everything now running and stopping as expected.
