Install Error Windows 2008 R2

The installation of FMS 3.5.1 r516 Development fatally failed on our Windows 2008 R2 Server. We tried an R1 server and that one installed with no issues.
It gets past the MS C++ installer, then shortly after:

Hi,
FMS 3.5.1 supports Windows 2008 R2.
Regarding the error message that you get it can also be caused due to some files getting corrupt in Windows registry.
The corruption in registry can occur due to several reasons such as existense of invalid entries caused due to software you are no longer using, or an improper software installation or removal.
You can try the installation on another machine with a fresh installation of Windows 2008 or re-install the OS if possible. You can also try some registry repair tool in case you don't wish to re-install the OS.
Look into windows 2008 support forums for more information on this error message.
Thanks,
Abhishek

We have opened a ticket for this. After subsequent discussion with the forum support person we have installed BO Enterprise 3.1 SP2 fixed pack 2.5 on the server (Windows Server 2008 SP2). On the client side, we have also installed BO Enterprise 3.1 SP2 fixed pack 2.5 and Live Office SP2 fixed pack 2.5.
Once we tried to use the Web Intelligence document based on OLAP Universe in excel through Live Office it gives the following error.

I am installing a new Netweaver install on a virtual machine loaded with Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2. The install gets to the "Import ABAP" phase and just hangs. SAPINST says it is still running, but there is no activity to suggest there is anything going on. There are no errors in the main logs, but after digging a little I did find these errors in the SAPSDIC.log file.

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on? I can't find anyone with this exact same error. And this is our first attempt at installing a system with Windows 2008 R2 and SQL Server 2008 R2. All of our other Windows SAP systems are on Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005 and we're in the process of upgrading - this being the first system.
    Thanks in advance,

In the first place a 'blue screen' has to be analyzed on the OS side, Oracle COULD be the reason, but who knows? More likely a hardware problem (RAM,disk storage). So you have to ask your system administrator and/or call Microsoft support. Or you try to find an answer in one of the many articles in the web, for example this:

  • CF9 install on Windows 2008 Server R2

Hi everyone I've installed Cold Fusion 9 on my windows 2008 Server r2 box and everything appears to be configured correctly becuase I can get to the Cold Fusion 9 Administrator page just fine. I've looked within IIS 7.5 and it's recognizing the .cfm file I think becuase it's an option under default documents. However I try to view the file from the local host I get a error 500.0.
      Module
    IsapiModule
      Notification
    ExecuteRequestHandler
      Handler
    AboMapperCustom-77246
      Error Code
    0x800700c1
I have no idea what that mapper is or what it's supposed to do so if anyone could help me out I would be eternally grateful! Why oh why couldnt cold fusion 9 have native IIS support in it.
    UPDATE
Apparently this error 500.0 gets applied to all my sites within IIS 7.5. Not just the one I intend to use .cfm files on. When I go into the web configuration tool and remove the configured webservers and restart everything goes back to normal but the .cfm files throw a 404.3 not found error for the following module.
    Module StaticFileModule
    Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
    Handler StaticFile

  • LMS 3.2 new install on Windows 2008

    Hi,
I finished installing the eval version of LMS 3.2 on a new Windows 2008 server. I manually adjusted the Pagefile size and managed to get the services to start, as suggested elsewhere in this forum. I now manage to get the login screen, but once I enter the login credentials, IE responds with ' Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage '.
I get this from a client and from the server browser itself. Not sure where to go from here....
    Thanks!

You may have been affected by: CSCtb17186 Redirection error thrown trying to login to LMS.
    Try the following:
    1. stop lms: net stop crmdmgtd
2.Run regedit.exe and add or modify the following registry key DWORDs:
    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
    Settings\Zones\0\1A10 : DWORD : 0
    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet

    HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
    Settings\Zones\4\1A10 : DWORD : 3
    3. Restart LMS : net start crmdmgtd.
If those steps dont help here is how to regenerate the SSL certs and disable SSL if you like:
    1. Stop services: net stop crmdmgtd
    2. Go to the directory NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\conf\ssl and delete the four files that start with server.*
    3. Now regenerate the certificate, first run the commands:
    Go to NMSROOT\bin\:
    perl.exe NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl -disable
    perl.exe NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl -enable
(If you want to use https for login, then leave it at this. If you want to use http, then run the ConfigSSL.pl -disable command again)
    4. Start services: net start crmdmgtd

  • Install error Windows 8.1 0xC1900101-0x20017

    Hello,
I'm in charge of the PCs of a medical office, in France (sorry for my English).
Computers were under Windows 8 without any problems.
I made the migration to Windows 8.1 without bug for all computers except one.
This is a laptop Asus X50VL which was updated from Vista to Seven and then Windows 8 which
    works perfectly on it.
I've tried almost 20 times to upgrade to Windows 8.1 after many tests : clean boot, deactivation of many services, uninstallation
of all programs and devices, etc... The procedure for upgrading to Windows 8.1 through the store always gives the same result: 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 error.
I've tried all the solutions described here : Fix 0xC1900101-0×20017 Windows 8.1 Setup Error
I even formatted the hard drive , and made a new installation "clean install" of Windows 8, based on the original DVD (with no problem), without installing third
party software, but still the same result.
I give you access to report files here :

    2. Run -> wsreset.exe ->

    Hi,
According to the setuperr.log, In fact, the error message should locate the location as below:

Please check the location and its logs. In addition, as your computer is too old, may be the hardware is the problem that caused installing Windows 8.1 failed.

  • BSOD Error Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Server

    Hi guys
I have a unique issue on a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Terminal Server where it keeps blue screening every so often (from every 2 or 3 days to some times once a week) with the exact same BSOD error. After countless hours Googling and researching I am simply

    Hi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
The problem which you are facing seems to be due to ntoskrnl.exe. There might be some corruption in ntoskrnl.exe file. It’s responsible for various system services such as hardware virtualization, process and memory management, thus making it a fundamental part
of the system. It contains the cache manager, the executive, the kernel, the security reference monitor, the memory manager, and the scheduler.
Please check below articles to fix the issue of ntoskrnl.exe.
    1. NTOSKRNL.EXE is missing or corrupt

  • New install on Window 2008 or 2008 R2 ?

    Hello all,
I will install soon 3 SAP products : SAP Solution manager 7 ehp1, SAP ERP6 SR3 and the Content Serveur 6.40.
I wanted to know if the situation about window 2008 R2 has change ?
I have read SAp note 1383873 and i have look in the PAM and that i have understand is AS and DB oracle 10.2 are supported on window 2008 R2.
Is there someone who can clarify this point.
    Thx for help
    Regards

    Thx for your reply.
Yes you right about the interpretation of the SAP note.
On the PAM file, effectively there is no dedicated column for window 2008 R2 but in the page N°5 we can read : (*2)Including Windows Server 2008 R2 (Planned for Q3 2010)
So we have the Box ( oracle 20.2 / window 2008 ) in Green ( means AS & DB supported )...and on other side we have  (Planned for Q3 2010).... =) what to conclude? not yet suported i suppose someone can confirm?

  • What versions of Oracle Application Server suite to install on Windows 2008

    Hello everyone!
Now I want to install Oracle Application Server on Windows Server 2008.
I downloaded 10.1.3.1.0 SOA suite, and also downloaded the patchset for 10.1.3.4, I'm working on windows server 2008,its version is 6.0. and 11g database release(11.1.0.6.0)(installed).
But when I try to install SOA suite, it give me error on 1st screen of universal installer as “checking operating system version: must be 5.0,5.1 or 5.2. actual 6.0 failed<<<< Press enter to exit”.
And when I try to install patchset for 10.1.3.4. It does not show any version problem, but it give me a Error message “There are no patches that need to be applied from the patchset oracle app server patchset 10.1.3.4.0 “,after screen “Specify file locations”.
Please tell me how to install successfully what kind of Oracle AS on Windows Server 2008!
    Thanks so much!

Please see the following note on Metalink for most updated Certification Matrix for the OS, your machine and Oracle AS products.
