Good day,
Michael is correct, you must have Service Pack 3 for Windows XP installed before you may install the trial of Acrobat X.
Please see: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/tech-specs.html for a complete listing of the system requirements.

  • Need install iso for acrobat 9 pro extended

We have our key, but have lost our disc.  Anyone have the ISO for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended?  All that is listed on the website is the upgrade.  We need the full version installer.
    Thanks.

Some of the older products used to be at ProDesignTools: Adobe® Developments in Focus, but apparently that has ended. If you know of someone local who has the product, you could probably just make a copy of the CD and use that. You will still need your S/N for the install. If you are installing on Win 8, then good luck if you can get a copy of the CD. AA 8 apparently does not work on Win 8 and I don't remember any comments about AA 9 on Win 8 either.

  • Cannot install updates for Acrobat X Pro for Mac

I have version 10.0.13.  I had singed up for notification of updates but have not received any so I am now looking to download any updates past this version.  I am not ready to move to XI.
When I go to install and it asks to select the file I want to update, I select Acrobat Pro folder and all files are greyed out under that.  The only thing I can then do is cancel which terminates the install.
This is frustrating as I don't have all features that your support pages show.

I was misunderstanding that I could update to v11 from v10.0.13, the last
update for v10 as the updates listed them along with v10.  Since I searched
for v10 updates, I would think only those that were actually available to
me would have been presented by Adobe.  This was the source of my
confusion.  Unless there is an upgrade path for me to v11, please consider
    this case closed.

  • Change the install path for Acrobat Pro X

Hi everybody! I just downloaded the AcroX trial to see what's beef with the new release, but I ran into a very annoying problem:
I'm quite nitpicking about my Applications folder, and I installed all of my other Adobe software into an "Adobe" subfolder.
I just noticed that during the installation is not possible to easily change the installation path like you can do in other Adobe setups...
I found this in the KB
    (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/877/cpsid_87775.html#main_Known_issues_on_Mac_OS)
"You cannot install Acrobat to a custom location." and other stuff...
The question is: do you have any idea of the priority of this bug? Will this be fixed anytime soon?
    Thanks, Agia

    Hi,
Just followed the link you gave. In the try option for Acrobat X Pro the dropdown only has options for Windows installers and not MAC Installers.
Secondly to answer your issue for customize installation to a path on OS 10.6, follow the following steps:
    1) Mount the dmg on MAC
    2) Launch the installer package
    3) Click OK on popup that you need to close running instances of Acrobat
    4) Click next to go to Read Me.
    5) Click next to move to Installation Type screen where we have buttons "Install", "GoBack" and "Customize". Click on Customize
    6) In this screen you will see 3 checkboxes "Application", "Browser Plug-In" and "Print Workflow" with columns as Package Name, Location, Action and Size
    7) Corresponding to Application Checkbox there is Location specified (With a small folder icon) - Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Click on this to select your location (2nd column)
This is similar to what traditional Apple products installers do like XCode installer. There is nothing new in this.
    Thanks,
    Karan

  • Need for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 64-bit Add-on

Can anyone tell me if this 34 KB add-on is necessary for Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.5.2? Can find no infomation on Adobe's website about it. It was installed with original software on 8/2011.

All I can tell you is it's title in the "Programs and Features" tool of Windows 7. To whit: "Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended 64-bit Add-On."  It has an installation date of 8-30-2011 and is only 34KB in size, according to Windows. It is listed below the Main Acrobat 9 Pro program, which doesn't give it's size, but does give the current version of 9.5.2, which is the latest for Acrobat 9 Pro as far as I know.
The one thing I want to establish is whether this add-on is necessary for the current version of Acrobat 9 Pro to function or not. I can find no guidance on Acrobat's website; at least a search reveals nothing anyway. And it is not referenced in their update site at all. If worse comes to worse, I will call them for guidance because our security types are listing it as a problem, and I am wondering if they are confusing this add-on with the main program.
Hope this helps with your knowledge, and thanks for replying.

  • All updates for Acrobat 8 Pro

Where can I find all the updates/patches for Acrobat 8 Pro.  I did find up to 8.1.1 and tried to install 8.1.2, but it will not recognize my current version of Acrobat.  So I am thinking there must be another update between those two.  The check for updates does not work.

The updates are available at ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/. Move up directories for other OSs.

  • Installing CreatePDF after Acrobat XI Pro installation.

We created a software Package for Acrobat XI Pro without the Add-On Create PDF being installed for IE, Firefox and Chrome. Now there is one user who would like to use this feature. How do I install the Add-On/Feature afterwards? Is it possible?

Sabian pointed out that I missed you were running on a MAC. My directions were focused on Windows. I am not sure how you can find the task manager in the MAC, but many programs (browsers, Reader, and others) tend to leave a part running -- at least on a PC -- so that the program comes up fast. These resident parts of the programs may have to be disabled. The suggestion about anti-virus is still probably valid. Maybe you can find a way to see what background applications may be running on your MAC and be sure you have shut things down as needed.

Nothing should be lost... However... it is both Prudent and Recommended that a backup should have been created and maintained.

  • New 3D Update for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

The following URL will take you to the download page for a new 3D Update for Acrobat 9 Pro Extended:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4073
This free downloadable executable contains several updated dynamic link libraries (DLLs) that provide support for more recent versions of CAD file formats when using Adobe® Acrobat® 9 Pro Extended and Adobe 3D Reviewer. It also fixes a number of bugs related to CAD format import in Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and 3D Reviewer.
New supported CAD format versions for this update:
    CAD format: Autodesk Inventor
Supported version: Up to 12.x and 2009
    CAD format: Dassault CATIA V5
    Supported version: Up to R19
    CAD format: CoCreate OneSpace Designer
    Supported version: V3 to v2008
    CAD format:Siemens NX
    Supported version: Up to NX6
    CAD format: Siemens Parasolid
    Supported version: Up to 19

    No.
Adobe stopped all support for 3D file conversion with the introduction of the Acrobat X Family back in 2010. There have been and will be no further updates to the 3D import functionality. The translation engine that used to be in Pro Extended is now sold as a commercial product by Tetra4D, but it's not compatible with Acrobat 9.
