Install Flash Player 17 download problem
I'm trying to install Flash Player 17 on a Mac running Yosemite, Safari 8.0.4. I've uninstalled the previous version. The installer download freezes at 25% of the download.
This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
1.) Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
2.) Download the stand-alone installer from http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg

Hello,
You'll need to install Flash Player 10.3.183.90, the last version supported for OS X 10.5.8. Download the archive zip file, http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_10.3.183.90_archive.z ip, and extract the contents. Then navigate inside the 10_3_r183_90 directory and use the file named flashplayer_10_3r183_90_mac_intel.dmg.

Installing Flash Player 11 Problems
I have tried a great number of times when I have tried to view videos that require Flash Player 11. I have gone through the process of installing the software and although it states the installation has been successful it still does not work when I go back to the video which then ask again to install Flash Player 11. Please help it is very fustrating.

Install Flash Player-Permissions problem
I have Windows XP SP3 on my computer and have tried to install Adobe Flash Player with both Firefox and Internet Explorer and get the message that I do not have permissions to complete it. The help message said to check the user accounts and make sure that I am the administrator. I did that and I am. How can I fix this problem?

Please try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the 'Still having problems' section. There will be three (3) installers. Since you're on Windows 8.x, ignore the installer for ActiveX Control, as Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x systems. You'll want to download the 'Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI' installer file. If you also use Opera browser you'll want to download the 'Flash Player for Opera - PPAPI' installer file.

I am running Mavericks on a 1st Gen. Retina Macbook Pro. I have been prompted a number of times to download a new version of flash player. When I go to the flash player site and click on the link to download, it merely sends me back to Adobe.com. I can't seem to download a new version, and sites like CBS.com will not play video for me. Any ideas?
The Adobe site is screwed up at the moment. Try again tomorrow. Meanwhile, you might be able to update Flash from within its preference pane.

Can anyone help me, I am having issues downloading the new version of Flash Player, v 11.9.900.170. I keep getting a window saying Action List not found. It take ages to download and install flash player
i realize that from some time it take ages to download and install adobe flash player!! is there a problem with the server i just cant install it i use windows 7 and windows 8 in both i download but wen try to install it starts to install and it says it takes to long to download and stops instalation what can i do to install flash player? thank you very much

I am using Windows 7, Firefox 36.0.1, and attempting to INSTALL Flash Player 17. I never had problems until about a year ago, the way the installation & set up was so easy...now, I fight with it for days every month when a new update is ready. There used to be 2-3 easy steps to follow; now I click to download, watch the diagram until it finishes, find the icon on my desktop, and click it again (presumbly to download & install), and it disappears. I do not know where or how to see it; a few minutes later I go to my Firefox Plug in Check page...and it shows that it still is not update! So I go through the whole friggan process again...WHY????

Please do the following:
Download the uninstaller, Uninstall Flash Player | Windows
Download the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page in the 'Still having problems' section
Run the uninstaller
Reboot your system
Run the installer
After installation completes, go to Flash Player Help and click on the 'Check Now' button. The results should indicate that you have the latest version, 17.0.0.134, installed. -
Registry problems when installing Flash Player
Hi, first of all, sorry for any misspelling, I'm Argentinian . I'm writing here because I've tried a LOT of ways and solutions to install Flash Player for IE, here some facts:
I mostly use Google Chrome, that has the FP already installed, but i have a problem with the ActiveX control, I can install Flash player 11 for windows but Not ActiveX... i read that that's a tool for IE, so i thought i wouldn't be needing it, but when i tried to execute a program (Game Ranger) it said that i needed ActiveX control and that i didn't have it in my computer.. So i started to check for solutions, etc etc. and finally give it up because i just couldn't do it, but well now I started again because I want to know if it's something important to have..
The problem when installing is this: It starts to download Flash Player.. then install it and when it's in 51% it stops and a message appears saying: registry error. this is what happens when I try to install ActiveX, not Flash Player itself because as I said earlier I can install it...
All I want to know is if there's some way to allow Flash Player installation to change registry values.. because i think that's the main problem.. i think. Thank you for reading.

Help needed to install Flash Player : 'Non-Current Release' problem!
I been encountering problems while trying to install Flash Player on my laptop running Windows 7.
Originally Flash Player does not work as I understand it is not supported on 64-bit Internet Explorer.
After installing 32-bit IE, the following issue of 'non-latest version' arises and all installation were aborted by the application :
The below were steps I had taken to no success.
1. Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded flash player un-install program and did the uninstallation with success.
2. Rebooted the laptop.
3. Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded the flash player version 10.0.45.2 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
4. After downloading it automatically did the installation with 100% completion.
5. The program proceeded to activate the flash player with a webpage saying if the flash player is working properly, I should see a video and Flash Player's logo.
6. Before anything was displayed, an error message popped up to say I was trying to install a non-current version and that I should go to same webpage to download the latest version. The activation was then aborted.
Tried many times but always encountered same problem and hence cannot proceed to use the flash player.
Need assistance to diagnose the problem and to get Flash Player working on my laptop. Appreciate any help to get it working.

Bob's installer enabled the download successfully.
Eidnolb's link in post 6 trigggered me that I may have previously installed the pre-release version 10.1, thereby leading to the 'non-current-version' problem too. Post in that link adviced to uninstall 10.1 using the pre-release uninstaller.
I suggest others who had encountered this non-current release to uninstall first using that specific uninstaller, before attempting to install the most current release. I may have installed the 10.1 pre-release in desperation after failing numerous times trying to figure out why flash player does not install in browser not knowing its currently-non-support of 64-bit browser.

Unable to install flash player. After downloading the Adobe FLash Player Installer and running it, a grey pop up window opens up but nothing is displayed in it. There is no progress bar or anything and even after keeping it running for a long time there is no progress. Please help with this issue.

We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. In the mean time, please use the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the help page corresponding with your OS and browser:
