I am doing installation of Oracle identity management - fusion middle ware 11g ... on OEL 5.4 64 bit
I have installed WLS 10.3.2... 32 bit
I am now trying install identity management stack.. (OID, OVD, OIF and ODSM).. but i am only configuring ODSM... 32 bit
I am getting error in configuration step... Create ASInstance

I'm not very tech savvy but am trying my best to use Disc Utility to copy my hard drive to a brand new external drive and am having the error "Unable to create...(Cannot allocate memory)".
Last night no problems, woke this morning and it was freezing so I forced a restart and got the grey screen with the folder and question mark. Ran off to best buy to get an external drive... Please help! Thank you!I have done both. When I hold down the "C" key it pauses for a few seconds while the cd spins and then the flashing folder icon appears.
Could be you have the wrong cd/dvd. The mac will only boot a supported cd/dvd for your machine. The flashing question mark indicdates your machine could not find a valid os.
When I hold down the "option" key for the startup manager the cursor comes up and moves but the actually manager doesn't come up no matter how long I leave the laptop on.
Not sure. Could be your machine does not support the startup manager. You would think the machine would ignore the key.
Where did you get the dvd? What is the number on the DVD?
What machine do you have anyway?

For anyone who is interested in here is the solution that fixed the error for me :
Because I had before installed JVM version 1.4.2 and then I uninstalled it and put the version 1.4.1_01, as the one that App Server 7.0 is using, the uninstaller has left a newer version of jvm.dll in WINNT/System32
After I've renamed this file to _jvm.dll (for example), just to get rid of it, the domain and his instances have started correctly.

TimeOutException - unable to create instance - after installing patch set.

We have Oracle 9iAS 9.0.2 (Release 2) running on Windows 2000 Server.
We are running EJB's on the server, these include Entity and Session Beans.
Last week on 13-March 2003 (Thrusday) we installed a PatchSet downloaded from "metalink.oracle.com".
NAME: PatchSet 1 for Windows NT
After installation we faced the following problem :
1. Initial (first time) when an Entity Bean is called for a specific Primary Key, we are able to get the instance of the Bean.
2. However for subsequent request to the same Bean, it is unable to create or find an instance for the Bean, throwing the following error :
"TimeOutException" - "unable to create instance"
3. Though Step 1 and Step 2 are repeated on restarting OC4J_HOME.
We then uninstalled the Oracle 9iAS and reinstalled it without the PatchSet. On doing so, the above error did not occur.Badrul,

Error - Unable to Create Control
While attempting to update Quicktime/iTunes, I encounter the issue of Error - Unable to Create Control right near the end of the installation. I can't find any recommendations in the Apple Support, any users able to assist me? Much thanks to everyone!
Thank you for trying to help. But I have tried to download the Program MPEG Streamclip as you said but unfortunately it need Quicktime too, the Readme said that there were another program I could use too called Quicktime Alternative. So I tried to uninstall the real Quicktime and install the alternative instead. But either the program MPEG Streamclip can't see that I have removed Quicktime or that I have removed the old one.
Every time I put an .avi file into the program it can only convert about 1:30min of the movie and that is only with the sound no movie, and if I put one of the .MPG (that Itunes can't convert) in an error box pops up and says:

Please uninstall QuickTime completely. Then install QuickTime Alternative (1.61 or later), making sure the "Extra QuickTime plugins checkbox is enable.
Alternatively, if you have Apple QuicktTime and you don't want to uninstall it, you can buy MPEG-2 Playback Component from Apple Computer.
I think this is a bit sad cause I just bought the new Ipod Touch and I can't put the movies I like the most.

Planning application deployment error (unable to create schema)
Hi,
I was trying to deploy a planning application and got stuck at the deployment step (the validation wen't through fine). During deployment the job aborts giving the following error : Unable to create Scehma for application. Exiting Application Creation.
Can anyone suggest what could be the issue here. Appreciate the help.

I am running into 'yet another' issue in ERM! This error really has me going in circles because I am able to execute the exact same process in our Sandbox environment with NO PROBLEM... If any of you Guru's can help to point me in the right direction on how to address this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the issue:

In our SANDBOX enviroment, the role creation process works as designed (Role Methodology: Definition --> Authorization --> Derivation --> Risk Analysis --> etc.). I'm able to define the role, add t-codes in the Authorization step and even Maintain them in PFCG.
<br><br>
However in our DEV environment when I take the same steps and I add t-codes to the role, I get an error when I try to Maintain in PFCG --> <b>Unhandled error; Unable to create role (Please provide a profile name.)</b>
<br><br>
The crazy thing is that when I remove the t-codes (to zero) I'm able to Maintain in PFCG!!! I am then able to save the Role 'Shell' in the backend (not adding any t-codes), come back into ERM and add t-codes there and Maintain in PFCG somehow works with the t-codes added now. So it seems as if that connection to the back through PFCG with no t-codes establishes the profile somehow and allows me to finish the process as intended. This is a pain because I will have to take this work around step for every role that I create in Development.

In Sandbox however this works as intended and generates a profile at this step after adding the T-codes, thereby allowing me to Maintain in PFCG with no error.

The configuration of these 2 boxes is exactly the same and the connections are both working successfully, I'm going crazy trying to figure this out! PLEASE HELP!

I have run the configuration validator for both Sandbox & Dev Environments and received the same results in both. I would like to export the results, but am getting the following error when I select the 'Export' button for both:

2014 .3 is much too buggy and full of error messages. Creating problems as I am on a timeline with my client and I don't have time to fool around with all the problems.

If you have a copy of your .muse file that has not been saved using 2014.3, you can downgrade by uninstalling Muse and then choose Previous Version in the Filters drop down in the Apps panel of the Creative Cloud desktop app. There will be a popup next to Muse where you can select a prior version to install. -
I'm trying to backup a my hard drive with disk utility but I'm getting an error Unable to create Backup.dmg" (input/output error). Is there any other way to save my data? What does this error mean? I have tons of them in my console. I have also repaired my permissions with Disk Utility, which found nothing in /var.

Tonight, the finder crashed during an iDisk operation.
I had to manually turned off the mac.
On the restart, Snow leopard decided to index spotlight for like an hour!
I suspected things so I went into the console, and yes I get all these "MDS Error: unable to create user DBs in /var/folders/..." for nearly each app I launch.
Any ideas?? I've been reading your thread, and couldn't find any relevant in google too.
It doesn't seem to affect the use of the mac, but it's still strange! (there's a part of me that wanna clean reinstall right now! I just hate now that i know that something might not be working like it should! haha)
Any idea an help very welcome.

Error unable to create jar cache in /tmp directory!
I using tomcat4.0.2,but when I start the tomcat from %catalina_home%/bin using startup.bat, in the startup console printing "error unable to create jar cache in /tmp directory: java.io.IOException: System cant find the direct", and tomcat can be started, no problem when I access my web application.
Why it happened?
But if I start tomcat from startup menu of the system instead of using startup.bat, no error is thrown.anyone know it? Please tell me.
I was puzzled about it.
