Install g505s on free dos

I got my laptop with Free Dos. It shows drives A B and C. I'm trying to install Win 7 from DVD. I've changed the boot option to Boot from DVD. I inserted Win 7 Installation DVD and re-booted but it doesn't boot from DVD and shows me command prompt showing drive C. let me know how to go ahead with installin Win 7.

Under Exit Tab
                      OS Optimize or OS Optimization has to be either "other OS" or "disabled"
Under Boot Tab
                      Secure Boot has to be disabled
                      UEFI has to be disabled
Also if you can see Secure boot under configuration, Disable it.
Now hit F10 to save all the changes you made then hit enter for YEs.
Now once the computer turned on right away start hitting F12 and it should give you option to load your Optical drive / CD.DVD.

Of course you can install a linux distro on it. I can't tell you how easy it will be as it's more related to the actual linux distro. What distribution would you like to use on it?

i have g580 free dos laptop
I have installed windows 7 service pack 1 32 bit operating system
here it says in Wifi it has not been installed driver
but i have installed it i.e. Intelpro wireless driver given in CD vth it
& also installed atheros wlan driver vth it in the CD
In device manager it showed only atheros under network adaptors
plzz help my problem plzz plzz

Can you try one of these drivers:
Wireless LAN Driver (CyberTan, Liteon)
     Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
     Version : 5.100.82.95/9.2.0.502/9.2.0.419
Wireless LAN Driver (Liteon/Atheros, CyberTan/Broadcom)
     Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit)
     Version: 9.2.0.502/5.100.82.112
If they don't work, open device manager and look for Other Devices > Network Controller and post the hardware ID here (see this guide on how to find the hardware ID).

By 'desktop' do you mean your iPad's homescreen or a desktop computer ?
If your iPad then try closing the App Store app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the AppStore app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Whether you will be able to install the app will depend upon what version of iOS that you have on your iPad (Settings > General > About > Version) - the version of iBooks that is in the store needs iOS 5+

Also, I believe I will need to choose the Advanced uninstall option because the Standard uninstall states it will keep activation data. As I will need to use the new activation number, I think Advanced is the more thorough way to go.

Installing Windows XP on HP Pavilion Notebook with Free-DOS

Today I spent 7h in unsuccessful attempts to install WinXP on my new HP Pavilion notebook. The problem comes from the fact that there are no SATA drivers installed for the HDD and everytime I try to boot>install Win>... it fails. WinXP gives me 0x0000007b error. If anybody could help me I'd be really grateful. I tried Win7 as well, but it fails also. A friend of mine who is rather "into" the whole Software/Hardware business suggested that I try to make a new WinXP 7 with the program nlite and try to add the necessary drivers to it. The problem is I simply can't find which drivers I need. Anyways. I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you all in advance!
P.S.When I enter BIOS I can't change anything as the BIOS doesn't show any HDD device, no SATA, nothing.

There are thousands of models of HP notebooks all with different hardware.
If your model is a new model with an amd processor you can forget it.
If your model is a new model with an intel 4th generation core processor or pentium n or j processor you can forget it.
The only way you will get XP to install on a new notebook is if it has an Intel 3rd generation or older core processor or an Intel series 7 or older chipset.

B Installing 9 brings up DOS SETUP command window then fails

Installing 9 starts and then a DOS SETUP command box appears, asking to insert Disk 1 DOS Install floppy in drive a: It then fails to do the 9 install, no matter what I do. It simply fails ! I tried installing in SAFE MODE, but still does the same thing. Cannot get any help on this from several XP forums, or from Microsoft. Any ideas ?

Errol, you've asked this question several times without getting a
response - presumably because nobody can fathom your setup.
If the PATH command in your boot sequence points to a directory
containing a 'setup.exe', it looks like the installer picks that one
instead of the right one. Try temporarily renaming the wrong
setup.exe or modifying PATH to force the installer to look in the
right place.

I tried to install Reader 9. Just after the install starts, the command window appears with a title C:\DOS\SETUP and says "To install MS-DOS, Insert Disk 1 in drive A and press CNTRL+ALT+DEL. This will restart your computer and begin the Setup program. Or press ENTER to return to your command prompt."
If I press Enter, the Adobe install simply stops and I am returned to the Windows desktop !!??
My computer is a multiboot setup with XP Vista DOS and Ubuntu, all on seperate partitions. The default system is XP.

This is boot.ini on my C drive.
(The system actually boots via the Ubuntu partition, the picks up the Vista booting file)

I am having this same exact problem. I have a mid-2011 iMac (latest model) 3.4 GHz i7, 20GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB. All of the other effects seem to work fine, but i have this same issue with all of the garbage mattes. I have just seen this thread and am wondering if there has been any progress or insights to finding a solution. I do use 4 point masks that are not exasctly square/rectangular so the crop work around won't exactly work for me. I can also make a shape and use an image mask but that takes a bit longer than a quick garbage mask.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
