Install generic os x on laptop?
Hi!
Can I install a "generic" (purchased separelty) verson of Leopard on a Macbook (4,1) Core Duo 2, or do I need to track down a version of Leopard designed just for a laptop?
I am asking becasue I read a while back (as far back as the later E-Macs) that Apple was creating versions of OS X that woild only work on specific systems (i.e. that you couldn't install OS X from a desktop on a laptop)>

A MacBook4,1 originally shipped with Leopard, so yes, as long as the disc you have contains the same or later version originally installed.
Any retail copy of OS X can be installed on any system that supports it. Portable or desktop makes no difference.
System-specific discs are grey in color and will install OS X only on the exact same model number Mac that included that disc.

Hi, If I have 1 license for creative cloud, will it possible to install in 2 computers (1 laptop and 1 desktop)? When I am in the office I can use desktop and at home I can use laptop? At the same time I will be using only one devise. Will that be possible? Thanks

i just installed itunes on my new laptop in the sync with my itouch all the music was transfered over but not the play list do i have to do it manually or can i only use this one computer to use those playlist i am content with only using this laptop but how do i get them over .and is it possible to have this itouch connected to both of my laptops. i know its a lot of questions but then again look at my sign on name,lol

Since I last updated my phone and installed itunes on my new laptop, all the songs I purchased (and spent alot of money on) wont play on my phone or itunes on my laptop.

it looks as though i have to download them all again because next to each song on both my phone and laptop there is a cloud with a red arrow.
i installed the itunes, then plugged my phone in and followed all the instructions- the itunes on my laptop shows all the songs but still has the cloud symbol -

Can't install itunes on my new laptop w/ Windows 8 64bit
So, I am trying to install the newest version of itunes on my Dell with Intel i3 Windows 8- 64 bit system. I had itunes on my old laptop (running Windows Vista) and it worked just fine, but when I tried to install it on my new dell, I get as far as downloading (itunes64setup.exe) and after it is done downloading and I try to install it, it gives me a pop up that says something along the lines of "this app can not be installed on your system- contact software manufacturer for the correct version for your system" I spent several hours on the phone yesterday with an apple rep and they weren't able to resolve it either. They had my delete the itunes that I had just downloaded, turn off my internet protection and try downloading the same one again. It downloads, it just won't install afterwards. When that did not work either, she had me try installing the standard 32 bit version, still nothing. Then she had me install the older itunes 9.2 to see if that would install and then I could just update it afterwards, but that would not install either after downloading. I tried restarting my computer and then downloading it again, same issue. I've been using the newest version of Firefox, but I tried downloading and installing it in IE. Same issue. Tried IE w/out internet protection, same issue. As a last resort I saved the itunes installation from my old laptop on a flash drive and tried to install it on my new laptop from the flash drive and it almost seemed like it would work, it started the installation wizard, but after a minute it stopped and said that it was a 32bit version and that I needed the 64 bit version for my system. That is actually the farthest I had gotten with any of my tries. It would not even get to the installation box with any of the other tries!!! If any one knows a solution for this, I would be so greatful!!! I tried the tips from past discussions and it did not resolve it. HELP!!!

Steve Jobs obviously was "the man" because every update or install now gives me problems... i can no longer download anything to my iphone.. giving me errors of "cannot install at this time" and i get an error installing itunes on my other laptop... wth is going on!??!
ok so the download problem with my iphone.. what could be the cause of that? ive restarted and deleted the "undownloaded app" over 10 times already. and restarted the iphone 10 times... next thing i know i cant install itunes on my laptop.... geez man..
obviously there is a fix which someone will help... but why should i have to go through all that crap to install a so called uncomplicated software... when you think about it this really shouldnt even be an issue.
normally if the thing dosent work. normally with most programs you just uninstall the uncompleted software and just reinstall and everything is usually good to go.. help!ive never had any problems with ap[ple products in the past... this is a first and a stupid problem if you ask me

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?

How can I deactivate my CC on a laptop which is not working in order to install it on my new laptop
I have CC on my main desktop PC which is fine. My second installed copy was on a laptop which is no longer working and am unable to access. Is there any way I can de-activate this second copy in order to install it on my new laptop ?

i am connecting a Bluetooth device to my laptop. I notice that Message Analyzer could capture Bluetooth messages only if I am using windows 8? I am using window 7. What driver or software patches do i need to install in my windows 7 laptop, in order for

Also, i notice that using window 8, i am able to capture Bluetooth message but i am not able to display wireless perfromance statistics such as signal strength, throughput, etc? Is there a way for me to get such information.

I have a iPod touch and i installed it on my other laptop until i had just got another one it says unable to connect to iTunes and i forgot my password and i delete the email and i don't know how i can get my i pod touch to work with my new one email.
I JUST NEED HELPI would contact Apple under your warranty. I doubt you received a new iPod since Apple's policy is to give you a refurbished iPod.

Help required with Photoshop Elements 4.0 this has been installed on my new Toshiba laptop with windows 8.1 for some 18 months and operating well. What is the size of your hard disk? PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine. Just a thought here.

I just got creative cloud 2014 and decided to install After effects on my laptop. I get error to install Adobe Application Manager. None of the songs will play in my library
none of the songs will play in my library, even with my ipod plugged in, an error message reads that the original file cannot be found, and then asks me if i want to locate it .... not sure what to do?
