Install info object from D version to A version

HI,
I am trying to install the infl objects from D version to A version. I have selected Grouping mode(Only necessary obects0 B default, Collection mode (Collect automatically) Didsplay (Hierarchy mode) and dragged the in fo objects from left side to right side into collected obects and selected install mode (Install and transport) , i gave the trsport also and installed, but ater install if i see in RSD1 still it is in D version only, not in active version only.
Do i need to any other steps required to install info object from D version to A version. Please suggest me if i mssing some thing.

hi
if you want to install only the info objects, follow the steps
click the source system icon on the top
click on objects type under bi content
select collection mode automatically
select only necessary objects, under grouping
expand your info object and select your info object and transfer
check the box , in front  of info object
install in in back ground.
by default display is hierarchy.
check the job in sm37, when the status is finished only you can check the info object,
if still it is D version then goto rsd1 , give the info object name and make it active.

    Object IOBJ 0BSTAT was written to order/task EWD*******
    You onl have authroization to display info object 0BSTAT
    I looked at the SU53 also  there is one error message  related to info object BSTAT
    Currently aunthorization Field  ACTVT Activit is   "23"
    Does this mean i don't have autorization to install of info obects, do wee need any special activity is required in the for installing info object
    Please suggest me how to proceed.

    How to install all Info Objects from Business Content to BW at a time?

    Hi Ganesh,
    I think, it is not possible to select all the infoobjects at a time from BI content, however you can select and install Infoobject catalogs with Indata flow before and install the infoobjects.
    By doing this, you can install a set of info objects at a time.

    That video is for iPhoto 8 (09) not iPhoto 9 (11).  Yes, I know it's confusing. 
    To get to the info window and location click on the Info button at the bottom right of the iPhoto window:

  • How to tell if Yosemite is clean install or upgrade from previous version

    My brand new MacBook Pro arrived last week, with Yosemite already installed on it.
    Having issues with WiFi (after coming out of sleep mode, mbp keeps its self-assigned address rather than getting an address though DHCP or using its old address), I was searching for support on the matter, and one of the solutions often suggested was doing a clean install of Yosemite if the mbp was upgraded from 10.9.
    Seeing that the mbp arrived with Yosemite pre-installed, I'm guessing that it is a clean install, but I'm not sure.
    I wonder if there is a way in telling if the OS was upgraded to the current major version, or if it's a clean install? Even if Apple only ships clean installs, it would be helpful to know if I need to give support to one of the mac-users in our company if it's a clean install or not.

    On my system, the Yosemite upgrade (performed on Oct. 23) left quite a bit of residue that would not be present after a clean install.  The most obvious examples are in /var/db/receipts, which contains BOM files for all of the software installed via the Mac OS installer, e.g.,

  • Firefox 4 stalls on instalation while upgrading from previous version

    I've tried to upgrade to Firefox 4 from version 3.6.17 several times, but every time I try to install version 4 it stalls halfway through the installation procedure. I then have to reinstall version 3.6.17 again. I have disabled the add ons that were reported to be incompatable for the new version.

    Thanks for the response.  If it is, indeed, Apple Magic, then I would expect Time Machine to be aware of this and account for it.  However, numerous people have reported that Time Machine sees this as a separate item to backup and it bloats the backup.
    I'm just curious to understand how this works from a filesystem perspective.

    I have checked the fields(values)in RSA3 ,which shows the correct values but the values are not showing in ODS when extracted from SAP R/3 ,

    Common Mistakes during FM development and their consequences:
       1. The counter C_DATAPAKID is not incremented correctly.
    Consequences:
    The RSA3 transaction will execute correctly, but when the program is executed using BW system the records are never transferred. The Extractor enters into a never ending loop and finally gets timed out.

    While checking data in PSA, if there are more fields in datasource use change display variants (CtrlshiftF6). If the required fields are in right hand side of the column set,include them in displayed column.

  • Deleting Info objects from the Cube

    Hi All,
    I am deleting 2 characteristics from the existing cube that already has queries . Would doing this make the existing queries or workbooks un-useable??. The characteristics are no more required for use in the existing queries.

  • Installing a New Language- Mass Updating Info Object Descriptions ?

    We recently installed a new language in our BI 7 system (Patch 16). But the Active SAP delivered info objects (namespace 0nnnn...) did not 'inherit' the SAP provided translations into the new language.
    I can update each info object one by one with descriptions in the new language.
    I can use the translation utility (once I figure it out) to updated the descriptions.
    I can activate standard business content which seems to contain the new language.
    But I'm hoping for something easier and less intrusive. I'm hoping there is a hidden SAP program that merely adds the description in the new language to my existing info objects from the Standard Business Content, without any reverse engienering, redesign, and so forth.
    Is anyone aware of anything like that ?

    Here's the answer from our discussion with SAP.
    There is a program RSDG_LANGUAGE_AFTER_IMPORT that you can run. This program replaces the object description texts in your active SAP Delivered objects with the text description from the Delivered version in the language that you just installed.  Here are OSS notes that are relevant to this issue : OSS Note 562436 and 877049.
    We executed this report using these criteria to replace default English descriptions with the business content descriptions in Polish for our implementation:
    Langauge Key "PL"
    Do not Overwrite Texts turned OFF
    It worked rapidly (150 CPU seconds) and flawlessly. I will say that the program looks for and changes the desription of EVERY object that it can find, and there is no control over changing just query elements or info objects. So step carefully. We plan on running this program in each system (after unlocking) so that we do not have to transport every single standard content object through our development / tests / production environment.
    Once you are finished with this, you will, of course, need to use the translation tools to translate your custom objects. I've personally found the BI 7 translation tools to be much easier to work with than the earlier versions, but that may simply be a symptom of our upgrade process (we just upgraded to BI 7 from BW 3.5)

    When you try to install any of the Business content, there are some important settings that you should check. This includes,
    *Grouping - What are the related objects that should be collected along with your target
    *Install - How do you want the installation to be done
    *Collection mode - Whether collection should be automatic or not
    Please check what type of grouping you have used while you tried to install the specified object.
    (NOTE 1: I believe that if you use grouping as "dataflow before"  or "only neccessary objects" you will not get this error for Infoobject installation
    NOTE 2: This error might have shown since this DSO 0RF_DS02 would have not been installed from BI content yet and would have been collected when you collected the related objects of the 0material with "dataflow after or before and after")

  • Error in transporting info-object

    Hello Experts,
    We need to a import an info-object from Quality to Prod.
    From Dev to Quality the transport was successful, but while transporting from
    quality to prod we are getting the following errors:
    Changes cannot be made, display user only
    And as a result the info-object and hence the info-object,transfer rules/Transformation etc are
    now inactive in the prod. enviornment.
    Could anyone advice on what may be the source of this error??

  • Issue with Info Object Transport after changing Data Type

    Hi Experts,
    We have a DSO which is running past 5 years. And recently(3 days back) we added new fields into that DSO. Delta loaded for last three days and new info object (Say XXX) data populated into DSO.
    Now the problem is, We identified that, info object data type is not correct. We used data type NUMC  instead of CHAR.So Character information is missing for that field.
    Example:
    Data from ECC: ABC123
    Data Loaded to DSO: 123 (Missed character ABC)
    So we deleted data from DSO and changed the info object data type in Development system.
    And also I have deleted only last three days delta records from DSO and transported my info object to Production. But its giving error as: Info object contains data in DSO".
    But that info object field is empty in DSO. I have already deleted last three days delta.
    Do I need to Delete all 5 years data from DSO to change the data type of recently added new info object ?
    Please give me your solutions and ideas to solve this issue.

    Thank you for your answer.
    When I changed the data type of info object in Dev, I deleted the content of DSO. And same thing transported to QA as well. Before importing changed info object, I just deleted the content of DSO from QA. So transport done successfully QA.
    But in Production we have a history of past 5 years. So I cant delete all contents of DSO.
    So just deleted only the delta request's which contains data for that info object(3 days back, we moved that info object(NUMC data type) to production,So last 3 days delta only loaded for that info object). And tried to transport it. But it was failed. I am sure we need to drop all data from DSO, if I am interested to go with same info object.
    I have some comments on your first approach,
    1. If we delete info objects from Dev DSO and transport to Production will give transport failure, Why because, my previous transports errors clearly saying that info object contains data in DSO . So it wont allow to remove that info object from DSO.
    2.We are using same info object technical name in BO Data federator also. So if we change add new info objects again we need to make changes with BO as well. I am thinking this point as my last option if i cant find any other solution.

  • Collecting too many objects for info-object catalog.

    We are on BI 7.0 and I'm collecting info-object catalog for 0FIAR_CHA01 & 0FIAR_KYF01.
    Grouping is set to Only necessary objects.
    Collection Mode is set to Collect Automatically
    Info area & info-object folders are collected.
    There is a Package name shown but no previous transport number listed.
    It is not $tmp.
    What is this indicating?
    No objects are checked in the transport box.
    I manually check the folder levels so everything is checked.
    I create the transport.
    I then go to SE10 and check the transport objects and I see several additional objects in the transport that did not appear in the collector window.
    Example:
       Application Components
       LOIO
       PHIO
    Why were these added to the transport when they did not show on the collection window?

    Hi Dennis ,
    The system is by default picking up all object types.Actaully ideally it should pick up the Info Objects from the same Catalog.
    In Transport connection after you select and move the Info Object catalog for collection ,When you select Package the System is Proposing all Objects as a part of Select Objects for Changing Package.
    Effectively you can click on Change Package Icon and see and for Info Objects you selected only should be present in this selection.
    Package ID is R3TR  anad Object is IOBJ and the object name , Deselect all objects selected and select only your objects. Then it would work.
    This will fix your issue and assign points if it heps

  • Direct and Flexible loading for  Attributes for a Info-object?

          Is it possible to have both Direct and Flexible update for  Attributes of an Info-object from two different data sources from the same source system(R/3)  . The reason being that the first data source can not be extended in R/3.
    When this scenario is tried For Flexible loading The data loading  is not successful in BW.No errors/dumps found.

    In this case I start and activate the whole data flow again to hopefully get an error message. If this still has no success I'd open an OSS message. Even if you have made a mistake you should get an error message somewhere.
    Some other places you might check:
    SM50 to see if the job is still running
    DB02 to see DB locks and tablespace problems

  • In the tranformation i have deleted a rule for an info object material?

    In the transformation i have deleted a rule for an info object material and then moved into quality. The number of columns is 10 after the material is excluded.
    And the same transport moveed to production with warning messages.
    the number of columns is 11 and it is not 10 when i check in the quality!!
    Can anyone help me on this!!

    Hi,
    As you said you removed the rule in transformation for an object (attribute) in matreila master data object.
    Number of column/attrbute will remain same when you will see data in master data object (material). It is just the mapping from source is removed so you will not see any data in that attribute/column for whihc you have removed the rule/transformation.
    For removing column you need to remove attribute/Info Object from Master data object (Material) attribute list.
